  2. Here we go. Instead of upholding the fundamental Divine principle that Scripture cannot and must no be altered, we have this comment above. And Revelation COMPLETES Scripture, so your comment is incorrect to begin with. That was the whole point of the warning in Revelation. There will be no more Divine revelations from God. Scripture is complete. Do not tamper with the Word of God. You will pay for mutilating Scripture. So that is not "a common mistake" but a proper application of Scripture. However what is stated in Rev 22:18,19 is a general principle applicable to the whole Word of God. This principle was stated in the Torah a long time ago, and reiterated throughout Scripture (Deut 4:2; 12:32; Prov 30:6). Since "EVERY WORD of God is pure..." (Prov 30:5) and "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY WORD that proceedeth out of the mouth of God" (Mt 4:4) it should be evident that every Hebrew and Greek word is critical -- indeed every jot and tittle (Mt 5:18) -- which refers to the smallest Hebrew markings in the OT.

  3. The purpose for replacing Judas was to have another official witness of the ministry, teachings, the death and ressurection of Jesus from the time of John the Baptist to His assencion into heaven. Acts 1:21-22 So in that regard Paul did not qualify. But he was one of the greatest missionaries and the one who gave us much of the New Testament. His teachings were inspired by the Holy Spirit and confirmed by the rest of the leaders of the Church, and his ministry had their approval. Jesus appeared to Paul as the resurrected, ascended Christ, but Paul was not a personal witness to his life on earth, his death, resurrection and ascension. He wasn't even present at the birth of the church on Pentacost. That is why he called himself one as born out of due time in 1 Cor. 15:8. But in nearly all his letters he introduces himself as the Apostle Paul, chosen by God. Apostle literaly means sent out one. He and Barnabus were both sent by James and Peter to the gentiles as well as by the church at Antioch.. Apostles may be missionaries or church planters that God has chosen and gifted for this purpose, just as God calls some to be pastors and equips them for the job. I don't believe that any born again believer can take it upon themselves to become these things even though they graduate as valadictorians from their seminary. It is God who chooses, calls, sends and enables these people.

  5. Just like any other socialist/communist government, they'll try to control all communication. Once you control the message, the masses can be easily led. I cannot, for the life of me, understand how anyone can still believe Obama is not a socialist. His suppression of capitalism, creation of the nanny-state, control of business, health care, and now, one of the last free instruments of communication, all scream SOCIALIST! The Antichrist cannot be far off. Correct. Propaganda works by controlling 'the message'. At the moment the only real source of free speech is the internet. If that goes then we've had it. I suspect that Worthy will have had it too.

  6. "The message of these rulings is unmistakable: the government will bring about your personal and professional ruin if you don't help celebrate same-sex marriage," said ADF Senior Counsel Kristen Waggoner. "Laws that are supposed to prohibit discrimination might sound good, but the government has begun to use these laws to hurt people—to force them to conform and to silence and punish them if they don’t violate their religious beliefs on marriage." enough said.

  7. Hi Serving Thank you. I read this quickly but forgot to answer you, or thank you. I like this. Praise the Lord, yes. Matthew 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Yes, the remnants, for their sakes. Very good, I like it and agree. You are showing that it's only the end of Babylon's system or kingdoms, at the 7th trump. I agree. That part is "finished" ...Babylon is no more. "It is Done" (rev 16:17) She is judged, and will not rule ever again, and this is when Christ rescues Israel, at the 7th trump by stopping that war. Christ spares them.....and Babylon judged in one hour. No more room for more chaos, as Babylon is judged & finished. A new era comes, the thousand years. A time of healing for Israel, and for the rest of the world under Christ's rule in the 1st dominion of his reign. The 2nd dominion would be after the 1000 years of course, which we don't know much about, only that that there will be no flesh, but all changed to spirit. Very exciting times ahead.

  9. There are two things we should note in this regard: (a) God does not want His people being dismayed at the signs in the heavens (which is a heathen practice) (Jer 10:2) and (b) the sense of urgency has been incorporated into the Gospels already (Mt 25:13). Jeremiah 10:2-5 10 Hear the word which the Lord speaks to you, O house of Israel. 2 Thus says the Lord: “Do not learn the way of the Gentiles; Do not be dismayed at the signs of heaven, For the Gentiles are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are futile; For one cuts a tree from the forest, The work of the hands of the workman, with the ax. 4 They decorate it with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not topple. 5 They are upright, like a palm tree, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot go by themselves. Do not be afraid of them, For they cannot do evil, Nor can they do any good.” If you take the whole of these verses together, it is showing that Israel is not to follow the futile idolatry of the Gentiles. My Thomas Nelson study Bible footnotes Jer 10:2 as: The way of the Gentiles was worshiping natural phenomena by means of handmade icons and symbolic imagery. The signs of heaven were the astral deities (8:1-3) worshiped in the days of Manasseh and reinstituted following the death of Josiah and the collapse of his reforms. dismayed: The heavenly realms held a certain awe of terror for the nations, but Israel was to worship God who held the heavenly realm under his control. I see a difference between us discussing the possibility of these "blood moons" signifying something and the Gentiles being dismayed by the signs of heaven which they worship. Also, these lunar eclipse tetrads were around long before John Hagee decided to preach about them. While I have looked into the "blood moon" tetrads, I personally have not heard or followed anything specifically from John Hagee and think that it's another topic in its entirety.

  11. Shiloh said "Sin is the violation of will of God, not merely a violation of the Law of Moses." So then, as i agree there does not seem to be agreement in what sin actually is, does this simply mean we do not all understand the other part of what Shiloh said, "The Bible reveals who God His, nature and operations. It gives us enough information about what God is like, communicable attributes we can emulate. That's His will, that we would strive to be like Him in the areas where it is possible. Jesus came to model those attributes in front us." I have wondered why there is disagreement on what sin is, whether it is our lack of understanding the bible, or willfully choosing our own interpretation of the bible? The bible does of course reveal God, but I struggle to understand much of it. How do I know if I am choosing my own interpretation, and ignoring what God has revealed?

  12. Grace is God's unmerited favor. Our sins are forgiven, but we still have our flesh to contend with. As long as we are in the flesh we will be at war with it. God's word is Law. They sinned the same way we do - by doing what God told us not to do. God said not to eat of the forbidden tree, Adam and Eve did - thus, they broke God's Law.

  13. I fully believe that it is at times such as those that the Holy Spirit intervenes with groanings we cannot understand ....we are the redeemed and the Father knows our needs before we ask ...so when we are so overwhelmed, and and cannot find the words the Holy Spirit prays what our hearts and mouths cannot speak.

  15. Hi Kenny, There is a long-held and heated debate over which translations are best. I’m keeping my answers simple – maybe oversimplified - so as to give an overview. You asked, “Why these subtractions in NIV and Good News?” The reason is that they are translated from different groups of texts. About 95% of manuscripts fall into the first group containing the “Majority Text” and “Received Text” – often called “Byzantine”. The remaining 5% of Bible manuscripts contain ‘other’ texts and are generally called “Alexandrian”. Most modern translations are derived from a standardised version of Alexandrian manuscripts. At the time of inception, they were believed by some to be more legitimate because the oldest known manuscript fragments were Alexandrian. “Who are the culprits” There are theories that scribes in Egypt changed parts they didn’t like – resulting in the earliest Alexandrian texts. In the late 1800s, two ministers, Westcott and Hort, published a standardised version of the Alexandrian texts. Because the Alexandrian manuscripts had the oldest known fragments at the time, many Bible publishers were convinced to use this standard version as the basis for their translations. “How do we rectify it?” Some of these translations have “Revised Editions” that fix the most obvious discrepancies, and others have notes that point out the differences. We can be aware (and teach our people) that the content of these modern versions dilutes certain doctrines (by-&-large, the changes represent omissions of information rather than doctrinal alterations – so what is there is still predominantly the Word of God; just not all of God’s word). “What should we do as christians” If you are concerned, stick to a Byzantine translation such as the KJV or NKJV.

  16. And this is the crux of the issue. The Muslim religion itself, founded upon the Koran and the example set by Mohammed during his life -- just as the religions of Marxism and Naziism -- teach terrorism at its/their core: that is, to kill anyone who resists its/their attempts to take over the whole world. Brutal suppression of all opposition inevitably includes terrorizing people as a means to that end. And the Kingdom of the Beast will excel them all...

  17. And quite a strong probability at that. Seven angels that have the seven plagues are then given seven vials. Either its the same angels that have the trumpets or you're introducing seven new plagues. Care to elaborate? 1. When we look at Rev 5:11 there are millions of angels around the throne of God. 2. When we look at Rev 8:2 there are seven angels "which stood before God" and they receive the seven trumpets. 3. When we look at Rev 8:3 there is "another angel" with a golden censer. 4. When we look at Rev 14:6 there is "another angel" flying and proclaiming the Everlasting Gospel. Then "another angel" in v 8, "another angel" in v 9, and "another angel" in v 15. 5. When we look at Rev 15:1,6,7 there is "another sign" and seven angels with the seven last plagues = the seven vials [which do not correspond to the seven trumpet judgments] 6. When we look at Rev 18:1 we see "another angel" proclaiming the fall of Babylon. In view of this, there is absolutely no reason to limit the angels to just the seven shown in Rev 8:2. There are myriads of angels to choose from.

  18. Before Moses led the israelites from egypt, God nearly killed him because his sons were not circumcised. No one of us is ever without sin. But we are declared righteous through Christ. However shouldnt a preacher or leader follow the stringent guideline in 1 timothy 3? 3 It is a trustworthy statement: if any man aspires to the office of overseer, it is a fine work he desires to do. 2 An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, 3 not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money. 4 He must be one who manages his own household well, keeping his children under control with all dignity 5 (but if a man does not know how to manage his own household, how will he take care of the church of God?), 6 and not a new convert, so that he will not become conceited and fall into the condemnation incurred by the devil. 7 And he must have a good reputation with those outside the church, so that he will not fall into reproach and the snare of the devil. 8 Deacons likewise must be men of dignity, not double-tongued, or addicted to much wine or fond of sordid gain, 9 but holding to the mystery of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 These men must also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons if they are beyond reproach. 11 Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things. 12 Deacons must be husbands of only one wife, and good managers of their children and their own households. 13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a high standing and great confidence in the faith that is in Christ Jesus.
