  1. Indeed I am. Indeed~! There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death. For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God’s law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:1-8 (ESV)

  2. OneLight said, In this case, who is the wolf you are referring to? I thought it was pretty obvious, but Billy Graham. Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! for so did their fathers to the false prophets. Luke 6:26 (KJV)

  4. Bureto, the history of the TR dates back no further than the 1500's. What was the "official" Word of God for the 1500 years prior to that?

  5. My hubby was saved through grahams crusades. My hubby witnessed to his family. One by one they all got saved. Then he witnessed to me and I got saved. He also heard years later from a college friend whom he witnessed to who is now a pastor. The fruit from grahams ministry just keeps on multiplying.

  7. Strange, TV and Radio is far faster than any flying craft man every built. Surely, if he wanted to get the news out, a plane would only slow him down. As for Jesus wanting him to have this jet, wouldn't Jesus also supply the funds without him having to ask for it?

  8. ~ I was a derision to all my people; and their song all the day. He hath filled me with bitterness, he hath made me drunken with wormwood. He hath also broken my teeth with gravel stones, he hath covered me with ashes. And thou hast removed my soul far off from peace: I forgat prosperity. And I said, My strength and my hope is perished from the LORD: Remembering mine affliction and my misery, the wormwood and the gall. My soul hath them still in remembrance, and is humbled in me. This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:14-22 Praise The Holy Name Of Jesus~!

  9. Amen......I understand exactly what you are saying about how we are programmed from our youth to be one against the other,as in sports ...............thank you for your thought provoking post,,,,,,,it deserves much consideration,,,,,,,,,,, With much love,Kwik Hi Kwikphilly Glory to God! Many seem to struggle with the concept that satan has designed and segmented societies, and has sowed the seeds within its structure, this is his domain, working in the minds of his people, starting at the top, implementing his plans...When i was born again i was no longer an australian, i was in a new nation that is alien to this world.. no longer associated with the bigotry of belonging to certain groups or cultures or as already mentioned sporting teams...an orange is much easier to eat when segmented, satan has divided in order to devour....There is only one division Good or Evil...Spirit or flesh.. Thank You Lord God Most High, Father, We will give thanks and praise You throughout eternity ... God Bless You Kwikphilly I Hope Your foot is healing nicely

  10. Someone who says I dont believe in God or Jesus but Im here because my wife is here or my dad forces me here .... you can be pretty sure he isnt saved. The harm is in letting an unbeliever be part of the ministry team responsible for worshiping the Lord. For bringing the profane to the altar. Church is a place to build up the body before the Lord, not a place to be seeker sensitive.

  11. It is not a question of who should "shut the door". By definition Christian worship is for Christian believers. Unbelievers can and should attend and observe, but until and unless a person makes a clear public profession of faith, is baptized as a believer, and is brought into fellowship, they have shut themselves out. For Scriptural support see Acts 2:37-47. Furthermore there cannot be an unequal yoke with unbelievers in spiritual matters, as is clear from other Scriptures. We should remember how and why the Temple was constructed as it was. There is a lesson for us right there.

  12. no, i don't believe an unbeliever should be in leadership. he wasn't the worship leader, and he wasn't even a singer. he just played the drums. i don't know where i'd draw the line, jade. my knee jerk reaction would be not to let someone be up there. but who am I to stand in God's way if He chooses to use someone? i'd like to think that in mike's case, the church made an exception out of necessity. maybe they generally don't, but for the same reason mike felt compelled to play, the pastor felt compelled to allow him. that would make sense to me, because it was definitely a God-thing. but i wouldn't really want to be at a church where the worship team didn't believe in the God they were singing to. i would leave if i found out that the worship leader of the team was an unbeliever. i don't even believe unbelievers (or people who choose to actively and openly live a sinful lifestyle, such as shacking up or engaging in homosexual relations for example) should be allowed to become members of a church, much less be in a position of ministry. i think if a church has a lenient policy and doesn't vet those who serve in ministry, then they're making a huge mistake. there is a danger in letting unbelievers in the "inner court" so to speak. but the leadership of the church needs to also not be so rigid that they don't obey when God asks them to do something that breaks the rules. throughout the Bible God does things like that, using people and circumstances that would otherwise be deemed unacceptable.
