  1. Hi all, today is March 17, St Patrick's Day, for many it's a day about Irishness, making things green, drinking copious amounts of alcohol and having fun. However do we really think about who Patrick was, and what he stood for? Patrick was a missionary from somewhere in the West of Great Britain, who was brought to Ireland as a slave to tend sheep on Slemish Mountain. While tending sheep on the mountain he had a dream about bringing the Gospel to Ireland. He returned to Britain to study, then came back to Ireland to spread the Gospel, he set up his first church in Saul County Down and spread the Gospel through out Ireland. While I'm not against having fun I have had it on my heart for some time for Christians to refocus on St Patrick's Day, to rededicate ourselves to support mission work, not only in Ireland but through out the World. I think this is a more fitting way to commemorate the life of Patrick.

  2. Solution: Move to another country if you are afraid for your America. I'm surprised to see so many Christians feed on fear of their future outcome in the U.S, and frankly its getting old. Where is your faith and peace in the Lord? Stop feeding on fear and rumors and live in the moment. I was walking through a supermarket the other day and realised how spoiled America is. So much abundant food when so many are starving in other countries. So much waste of everything, fast food etc. .Maybe a little persecution is exacly what the US needs so people can begin to humble themselves and appreciate a loaf of bread when it's all they have to eat for a week... Can't you see, it is the Lord's plan so let it be.

  3. Hi Adam Genesis 2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Adam and Eve ate of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: Genesis 3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. The tree of life was in the midst of the garden. It had cherubums guarding it. God being all knowing, already had since the beginning of creation, a plan to provide the world with his savour. Revelation 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. This same Word of God who was made flesh and called Jesus Christ, was there with God in the beginning and created all things, and before he became flesh he was spirit. He was the Word of God and came out of God. He is God's voice. God always speaks through his Word. I would say this was not a visible tree, but a spiritual one. Satan was in heaven with God in the beginning and knew a lot. Satan is the one who has corrupted man by tempting him to eat of the forbidden fruit, of "The tree of knowledge of good and evil". Now that we know what's good and evil, we have no excuse. Not innocent anymore. The fruit of this "tree of life" is "truth". Jesus said "I am the way, the light and the truth". This is the Word of God speaking. That same Word that was in the beginning. I'd say this tree was heavily guarded by angels from Satan, so that he could not have access to the truth, for this job was reserved for Christ, who is God's Word himself, and his job to deliver full access to the truth. The tree is the Word of God. The fruit on this tree symbolises "The truth" John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. ...........(The Word of God) < my words. Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God. John 6:27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed. John 6:57 As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me. It was not possible for man to have access to the tree of life, before Christ's death and resurrection. Now the fruit of this tree is available, but only Christ can give it to whom he choses. It is still guarded from Satan and his angels, who can never have access. Christ is the Tree of Life, and Christ is the Word of God. Christ is the way, the truth and the life. Christ is the tree of life. It's a spiritual tree.

  4. For me "church" means what is revealed in Acts 2:42-47, and these are the biblical "ingredients" and God's expectations: 1. And they continued stedfastly (consistency) 2. in the apostles' doctrine (sound doctrine) 3. and fellowship 4. and in breaking of bread (Lord's Supper) 5. and in prayers 6. And fear came upon every soul: (reverence) 7. and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles (miracles through prayer) 8. And all that believed were together (unity of the spirit) 9. and had all things common (unselfish sharing) 10. And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need (care for all the saints' needs) 11. And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple (daily devotions within the Heavenly Temple) 12. and breaking bread from house to house (hospitality) 13. did eat their meat with gladness (joy) 14. and singleness of heart (harmony) 15. Praising God (worship) 16. and having favour with all the people (a good local testimony) 17. And the Lord added to the church daily (total dependence on the Lord in church matters) 18. such as should be saved (soul winning)

  5. Shiloh, please read what I write and not make things up. I know there will be no sin in the new world. But as I have now said 3 times, the first creation was made with the possibilty of sin. The new one will not. That is a pretty significant difference in my opinion.

  6. Blessings Jadey.... Sis,forgive me if what I say was already said because I honestly have not read every post but I do have some very firm beliefs about this ,,,,The music & singing in church is for the purpose of Praising & Worshipping Almighty God,not for entertainment and I see this becoming a very big problem in many churches,,,,,,,Music is a Ministry in itself, the people playing instruments or singing are doing it all giving God the Glory,,,,,,,an unbeliever,by no means, should be permitted to be on the Praise Team or part of the Music Ministry at church For many years I sang in church & it took many years before I was allowed to,before that I sang(professionally) IN THE WORLD,for me,,,,I was a Christian but I was performing,I was not in Worship, not Praising God,,,,I took the Glory In any area of Ministry within the church the pastors, elders & leaders have to get to know people so they can be placed in their respective positions,,,,,,,how can you have an unbeliever in a position where the Body of Christ has come together to give God Praise,to Worship Him,,,,,they would be "performing" & that is not what it is all about,,,,,,,,, I don't even understand Christian musicians that are paid,I don't understand how anyone would accept payment nor can I understand anyone paying???This is just unheard of in my church & the 2 prior to this one I now attend It is a big world out there & plenty of places where unbelievers can perform ,,,,,what would be their reason for even wanting to sing or play an instrument on Sunday at church? If there is any reasoning other than to Glorify God then that will not suffice,,,,,,,,I remember when that question was asked of me......my answers were the reason I was not able to join the choir for some years,,"I am singer, thats what I do,I sing well,I love to sing,I,I,I,I," and then finally,my answer was "To Praise & Worship my Lord & give Him Glory"..........Halleluyah! With love-in Christ,Kwik

  8. I believe that it was all part of God's plan. This way, when the anti-christ comes on the scene, and negotiates a middle east peace that will allow the Jews to rebuild their Temple on the mount, the world will be astounded and follow after the Beast.

  9. At the time, the orthodox were concerned and supported the solution to give control to Jordan. Without the red heifer for ritual cleaning, there were no Jewish people who were ritually clean to go up onto the Temple mount. There was a fear that if the Temple mount was under Israeli control, the people would go onto the mount in an unclean condition, violating the Mosaic law. They were not ready or prepared to have control. So, giving Jordan control was viewed as the solution to keep Jewish people from violating the law. I believe that it was not a mistake, (although it has caused problems). I believe that this was in God's timing. I believe that the access to the Temple mount is and will be significant in the time of God's plans.
