  2. from TheBlaze: "'Who will rid me of this meddlesome priest?' (King Henry II) "At least the disagreement between King Henry II and The Archbishop of Canterbury was over matters having to do with the church. Pope Francis is so busy righting the wrongs with capitalism, foreign policy and the environment that he hasn’t found the time to comment on matters of faith. "Jesus unleashed Christianity on the world when He charged Peter with the authority to build His church. It didn’t include any reference to a government program. It was as simple as leading others to Him. 'No one approaches the Father but through me.' "Apostles, such as Paul, took that message as far as their travels and writings could reach. As the message spread the flock increased ... "The quickest way to lose one’s following is to dilute the spiritual message with temporal distractions. Many leaders of large denominations have felt compelled to become relevant by speaking out on current political issues. Their flock has declined in number in direct correspondence to their increased political relevance...." http://www.theblaze.com/contributions/pope-francis-has-a-problem-and-it-has-everything-to-do-with-him-being-a-defender-of-the-faith/

  3. Saw this article on facebook, on why christians shouldn't be "offended" by homosexuals. Now, the author, has obviously, never, ever, read the Bible. Because, the bible makes it clear, that homosexuality IS a sin, repeatedly, from the old testament, to the new. (Genesis 19:1-13, leviticus 18:22, 20:13, Romans 1:26-27, 1 corinthians 6:9) Romans 1:26 tells us that us that homosexual lifestyle is in direct disobedience of Gods word. The author, doesn't deny this, but instead compares it to eating bacon-claiming that the Bible prohibits that, yet we eat it, suggesting that christians are hypocrits. This is a completly false, and absurd argument, because unlike homosexuality, which is condemned, by BOTH the old and new testament, eating pork, was only prohibited in the old and Jesus told Peter specifically, in Acts 10:9-19 that all things could now be eaten, that the laws about what was clean-and unclean food, were null and void. So the author, doesn't know her Bible very well. Now, on the other side of it, many christians, also do not read their Bibles. True, many of us are offended and bothered by this ruling allowing gay marriage-and the way it was done, and rightfully so, not only did the supreme court blatantly overstep their bounds, it is spitting in the face of the Biblical family unit, which as christians, we should strive to uphold. But where we go astray, is that we are called to love those who arn't following God. Mark 12:30-31 clearly states that the two most important commandments are to Love God with all our heart and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves, and the second point we need to remember, is that we are all sinners- Romans 3:23. None of us are perfect. Now, im not saying we shouldn't say gay marriage is wrong-it is. It is not a christian doctrine in the slightest, it is living in unrepentent sin, but we need to remember, that our job as christians, is to love them, to pray for them, and to show them what the Bible says, not to step on them, judge them, or to ground them under our feet. Its sin, yes, am I going to say its ok? no. but at the same time, theyre people to, and heaven knows Im not perfect, so I encourage my brothers and sisters in our pursuit of Godliness-to stand not only in truth, but in love. Remember, just because theyre living in sin doesnt mean we should scorn them-we should instead encourage them to the truth for love. As far as the author of this article, Im not going to "judge" whether shes a christian or not, thats not my place. I will say her lifestyle is in sin, and her article is clearly not biblical, but it did bring forth some good discussion material, and inadvertently, a reminder to not hate our common man. Let us continue to pray for her, and people like her, that they come to know Gods truth. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/whitney-kay-bacon/so-gay-marriage-biblicall_b_7717502.html

  4. A ministry is any religious organization that seeks to minister to others. So tbn would be considered a "ministry" Whether the ministry in question is biblically accurate or not is not relevant to the actual definition, its only relevant as to whether we should support it or not.

  6. Oh my, my, my! As a result of the awesome vision I caught yesterday (Sunday, 12th July 2015) of our Lord Jesus Christ, my body could hardly contain me. Early this morning (Monday Morning) I was talking out to myself as I walked down the road… I barely was able to control my voice so I don’t draw attention to myself. Talk of the unction behind it- my body was intensely charged! It all started on Sunday morning. As I woke up in the morning, I was weak in my spirit (my heart), as a result of some trials and temptations I’ve experienced lately. I just managed to attend Church service. After the whole episode of the day, in the evening, I decided to build up my spiritual strength before going to bed- because I needed strength for my schedule the very next morning -Monday Morning… Hence, I opened my bible to the book of 2 Corinthians. As I read, I got to the place where the Apostle Paul talked about glorying in his infirmity- 2 Corinthians 12:1-10. With the special insight I got from that scripture, I decided to also glory in my infirmity as well. Then as I thought of praying before going to bed, my flesh was so weak-in short, I thought of forgetting about lengthy prayers; just thank God and say a few words and go to bed. But then, as I struggled to stand up and worship, after the few minutes of worship, as I opened my mouth in prayer, I was almost immediately in the spirit (The holy place of the Lord- Ps 24:3). So I fervently prayed in other tongues, and also in my understanding… After over an hour of Spirit-Powered prayers, as I thought of going to bed, I just decided to glorify and magnify God before sleeping. But as I thought of magnifying my Jesus, with his picture in my mind, I found out that the only picture of him I had in my mind (The picture of him as a 33yrs old young man when he was crucified) seemed too undermining to me. So I earnestly asked the Holy Spirit to show me the glory of Jesus and the Father. As I prayed thus, he brought a scriptural picture of the glory of Jesus to my mind, but I Ignored it, looking out for a more spectacular vision. That is, either trance or open vision. But after some minutes of desperate expectation, I decided to see what the Holy Spirit is revealing to my mind with my eye of faith (My spirit-my heart) since the spectacular visions were not forth coming… And as I did that, oh, what an awesome magnification of my savior I saw in my spirit and mind’s eye. I saw the glory of Jesus, in just exactly the same way he appeared to Paul in the book of Acts and John the beloved in the book of revelations. I caught a clear picture of my glorious redeemer, coming down with the glory of great, supernatural light. Which brightness or luminous intensity, is greater than the sun in its full strength. And oh, what an awesome unction flooded my spirit and body at that very moment. What a supernatural strength flooded my heart. What a holy faith flooded my heart. And then at last, I was truly able to glorify and magnify my creator all I wanted… Then the best of all, as I meditated (and keep meditating) on the vision, I begin to receive elegant revelations of how this great glory of my Lord and savior robs off on me, and indeed every true believer. You know, it’s so enthralling to picture myself as a part-taker of that glorious nature of light (Partaker of the divine nature- 2 Peter 1:4; John 17:22-23)… And if I should go on sharing all the revelations that are flowing out from that single encounter on Sunday, I don’t think a single volume of book will be enough to contain them. So seek to see the glory of Jesus so you can magnify him more satisfactorily. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the glory of Jesus to you, the way he revealed it (the glory) to Stephen, Paul, John and the rest of the Apostles; and he surely will, if you observe with your eye of faith. But before he (the Spirit) will do that, you’ll need to have the Holy Spirit indwelling in you by accepting Jesus into your heart, as your Lord and personal savior. So if you are not yet saved, pray thus: Lord Jesus, today, I repent of my sins, and accept you into my heart as my Lord and personal savior. Wash me with your precious blood, and write my name in your book of life. Thank you Jesus for saving me in Jesus Name. Amen! Remain Blessed!

  7. That's right to say it isn't the mark. For the Antichrist could require that everyone receive an injected RFID microchip, which could be used as an identification device, a debit card, and a repository of emergency health information (e.g., it could alert emergency healthcare workers to any medicinal allergies you may have). But any such microchip would be separate from the "mark of the beast" (Revelation 16:2, Revelation 13:16-18). For the latter will be visible to people, so they can easily tell in every situation, even one without electricity, whether or not someone should be permitted to buy or sell (Revelation 13:17). It will be visible also because the original Greek of Revelation 13:16 shows that the mark will be placed only "on" (epi), not inside, people's right hands or foreheads. Also, the mark will be placed on people probably by scarification. For in Revelation 13:16, one of the definitions of the original Greek word (charagma: G5480) translated as the "mark" is "a scratch or etching" (Strong's Greek Dictionary), and scarification is the scratching or etching (i.e. the cutting) of the skin to leave a permanent mark. The reason that people will be given the mark in Revelation 13:16, in the context of what had just been shown previously in Revelation 13:4,8,15, will be to serve as a visible indicator to other people that they are loyal worshippers of Lucifer (the dragon, Satan) (Revelation 13:4, Revelation 12:9) and the Antichrist (the individual-man aspect of the beast) and his image (Revelation 13:4,8,15), just as some Luciferians today put a mark on themselves by scarification. The mark will consist of only the Antichrist's name "or" some representation of the gematrial number of his name (666) (Revelation 13:17-18), meaning that the mark will be the Antichrist's name for some people and a representation of the gematrial number of his name for other people. And the mark will be placed only on the right hand (probably on the palm) "or" on the forehead (Revelation 13:16), meaning that it will be placed on the right hand of some people and on the forehead of other people. Those who refuse to receive the Antichrist's mark won't be allowed to buy or sell anything (Revelation 13:17), and they will be executed by being beheaded if they refuse to worship the Antichrist and his image (Revelation 13:15, Revelation 20:4). Christians must be willing to suffer this fate rather than agree to receive the Antichrist's mark or worship him or his image, for those people who agree to do these things, even if they are Christians, will suffer God's wrath in fire and brimstone forever (Revelation 14:9-13), while those Christians who refuse to do these things, even though they will be beheaded, will subsequently be physically resurrected into immortality (along with the rest of the obedient church of all times) at Jesus' 2nd coming (Revelation 20:4-6; 1 Corinthians 15:21-23,52-58), immediately after the tribulation (Matthew 24:29-31). And even before their resurrection, at the moment of their death, their still-conscious souls will be brought into the presence of Jesus in heaven (cf. 2 Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:21,23, Revelation 6:9-10, Luke 23:43,46). In the future, when the world begins to worship the Antichrist as God (Revelation 13:8; 2 Thessalonians 2:4, Daniel 11:36), some people could gladly be willing to have his name placed by scarification on their right palm, just as lovers in the past were sometimes known to have their loved ones' initials placed by scarification on their palm (cf. also Isaiah 49:16, Jeremiah 48:37, Leviticus 19:28, Leviticus 21:5). Other of the Antichrist's worshippers could gladly be willing to have his name placed by scarification on their forehead, thinking (mistakenly) that they are fulfilling the Christian idea of Revelation 22:4, which refers to the future point in time when Jesus will put God's name visibly on the forehead of obedient Christians (Revelation 3:12). The Antichrist's miracle-working False Prophet, who will be the one to cause everyone to be marked with the Antichrist's mark (Revelation 13:16-18), could even convince people that he (the False Prophet) is Jesus returned. (But he won't say that he is Christ, for he and the Antichrist will deny that Jesus is the Christ, and will deny that Christ is in the flesh: 1 John 2:22; 2 John 1:7.) Instead of having the Antichrist's name engraved on their right hand or forehead, some of his worshippers will have the gematrial number of his name (666) (Revelation 13:17c-18) engraved on their right hand or forehead. But because some people could refuse to have "666" placed on their body, in order to make a mark of 666 acceptable to all people, it could be disguised to look like something else in those cases where people demand something other than "666". For example, it could be disguised in some cases to look like "777", or "111", or "WWW", or "VVV", or "|| || ||", or "FFF". For the 6th letter of the ancient Hebrew alphabet (Vav) represents the number 6, but it looks like a "7", or a "1", and it is transliterated into English as either a "W" or a "V". Also, 2 thin vertical lines "||" represent the number 6 on many UPC codes. And the letter "F" has a numerical value of 6 in English gematria. In an awful coincidence (or maybe it is not just a coincidence), "FFF" also stands for an extremely powerful type of nuclear bomb: Fission-Fusion-Fission. Could this be the type of bomb which the 10 kings of the Antichrist's empire will employ to burn up the cities of the nations at the end of the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24 (Revelation 17:12,16,17a, Revelation 16:19, Revelation 19:2,11)? The "WWW" which has been placed on many internet addresses, and the "|| || ||" which has been placed across many UPC codes on products (i.e. they have a "||" at the beginning, middle, and end of their UPC codes), are harbingers of when Lucifer will give the Antichrist ownership of everything on the earth (Revelation 13:2b; cf. Luke 4:7), and of the Antichrist placing his "brand" on everything, like how a rancher places his "brand" on all his cattle. For both "WWW" and "|| || ||" are disguised representations of the gematrial number of the Antichrist's name: 666 (Revelation 13:17c-18). But Revelation 13:16 isn't fulfilled by some internet addresses having a "WWW", nor by some products having "|| || ||" on their UPC codes. For Revelation 13:16 refers only to when people will be given the Antichrist's mark, on either their right hand or forehead. Those assigned to have the mark placed on their forehead (instead of on their right hand) (Revelation 13:16) could be an elite, illumined, cognoscenti class of Gnostic Luciferians who alone will have been given knowledge of the ultimate secrets of the Antichrist's Gnostic Luciferianism. The Antichrist will be both a Luciferian, a worshipper of Lucifer/Satan the dragon (Revelation 13:4, Revelation 12:9), and a Gnostic, someone who denies that Christ is in the flesh (1 John 4:3), and forbids marriage and the eating of meat (1 Timothy 4:1-3). The cream of his cognoscenti could be a faux 144,000, consisting of male virgins (as a counterfeit of Revelation 14:4) who have never eaten meat. If they receive on their forehead the mark of the Antichrist's name (instead of a representation of the number of his name) (Revelation 13:17), this will be as a counterfeit of YHWH's 144,000 in Revelation 14:1. But the Antichrist won't pretend that he is YHWH, just as he won't pretend that he is Christ. Instead, as a Gnostic, he will utterly revile YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36). And his Gnostic denial that Christ is in the flesh (1 John 4:3) will disqualify him (under his mistaken Gnostic doctrine) from being Christ.

  8. Hello Hall7 Thanks for the thread and I also like the definition you found....... "The human body is made up of materials found on the surface of the ground. Oxygen, being the most abundant element on the earth's crust or on the ground, makes up 65 percent of the human body, and carbon, also abundant on the top soil of the ground, is 18 percent, and hydrogen is 10 percent. The 59 elements found in the human body are all found on the earths crust. This is amazing because what the Bible says perfectly match the scientific composition of a human body." I don't see any problem, with the LORD, using soil that He made, to create a human body!

  9. I've been in this situation a number of times over the years. And have gone on to mention it to older Christian woman to address subjects just as this, as well as any other multitude of things that the older women should teach the younger. Much of this is missing today, and should be brought to the forefront again as part of our walk in Christ. Tit 2:1-8 (1) But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: (2) That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience. (3) The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; (4) That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, (5) To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (6) Young men likewise exhort to be sober minded. (7) In all things shewing thyself a pattern of good works: in doctrine shewing uncorruptness, gravity, sincerity, (8) Sound speech, that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of you. Christian men should be doing the same, addressing younger Christian men on a multitude of issues facing the Christian today. I would add my wife has done the opposite, when she sees something terribly inappropriate concerning another Christian man, she addresses me on the matter, so that I might address the man. Sometimes the advice will be well received, other times not so much. Either way, may we all look to do our part in seeing Christ glorified.

  10. As a former educator, I have seen some pretty bizarre choices made by those "in charge" of curriculums but this one does 'take the cake' so to speak. Though we are not in the tribulation, we are seeing "man devoid of reason" ....just because they are educators in higher position does not mean it does not apply to them.

  11. Let me give an example, the old order Amish/Mennonite is a religion, yes they are Christian, but their religion/doctrine tells them not to drive cars, only horse drawn buggies. Now I'm not losing any sleep over the idea they only use buggies (what ever floats their boat) but that is their religion. There is a local Church a friend of mind visited while looking for a Church to attend, they told him he is welcome to be a member but he must shave his mustache off and his sleeves must extend below his elbows (not just the woman's sleeves) and that is their religion, their doctrine (my friend still has his mustache). This is man using religion to get to God. I myself don't need a Church's religious beliefs other than what is in the Bible, the Bible is my doctrine, the Bible says women should dress modestly and there should be no argument there because it is pretty well cut and dried. Lets also face it, men should dress modestly also, I'm not figuring on wearing any spandex pants to Church anytime soon, LOL I don't want to scare the congregation out the door. Oldzimm The Amish are very legalistic.Spandex pants is another no no.Looks like the pants are painted on.

  12. Patriot your post seem to be the defense most gays will use in a debate, just a few words could be changed around. I feel the reasons gays are so vocal and flaunt their gayness in front of Christians is they want our acceptance of their sin. The gays our trying to convince themselves that their sin is not a sin, the only way they can do it is have a Christian pat them on the back and say "there, there, it's okay, your not really sinning". However, we mourn the loss of those we love for soley human reasons even if we Know they went to Heaven because we miss them. Your question and the title of this thread don't seem to match, btw. Amen I still miss my husband of 25 years even after 7 years. If anyone wishes he could come back it would be me. However that is not possible. He is gone from this mortal life and alive in Heaven! I'm sorry for your loss, R.A., but it's only for a while. Yes only for a short while. Compared to eternity what is a few years?!!!

  15. There may not be violations, but it *doesn't always apply*. That is my point and why the quote has nothing to do with anything I've said. That was the entire point of my previous post. It's a little hard to respond when I'd just be repeating what I said before, as you haven't dealt with any of the meat in my post. I'm honestly befuddled. I put some thought into the varieties of ways I could restate what this law of thermodynamics is about. I provided you with links as I know you like that, but I don't get the sense you looked at those either. If you do not see how the law is derived in the first place, it is rather difficult to talk to you about appropriate applications. There is a reason that in our training we are asked to derive for ourselves the laws and such that we actually use. At any rate, I really am not sure what else to add here, except that, if you want to address my previous post, great. If you think you have, then it's fairly obvious I'm wasting my time insofar as I'd be repeating myself again.

  16. Absolutely. The issue that was raised in this thread is why has feminine modesty become an issue? And the answer is because it is an issue. I was at a place of business recently where the attendant at the counter was a young woman (and chunky to boot). Not only was her cleavage exposed partially but she had some kind of unreadable message tatooed across the top. She probably did not give it a thought, and assumed that this was "business casual". This type of female exposure is becoming the norm. So Christian women need to be asking themselves whether they are allowing these norms to influence them, or are they resisting them. If they are not resisting them, then men (in general) should not be blamed for their inappropriate responses. Oh no, Ezra, you didn't really say THAT! I'm sorry but, if Joseph could resist Ponifer's wife, what is the excuse for men today? Do you men have no self-control, no mind over matter? Or what? There have always been bad women and there always will be. Saying men can't be blamed for their lust is a cop out.

  17. I'm not offended by homosexuals either but I AM offended by their attitude towards anyone who doesn't applaud their perversions and Christians in particular. Not saying ALL of them, of course, but you only have to read the comments on the LGBT sites to find out how the majority of gays feel about 'equality'. It seems they want it for themselves and no one else.

  18. I am not really offended by homosexuality.... it's more a caring for what is to happen to them on judgment day and whether or not God will allow our country to exist with it being so prevalent..... sort of sorrow and fear, not really offended... I really do understand why Jesus overlooked Jerusalem and cried over the people.

Good post, the patriot, `But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And on some have compassion, making a distinction; but others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.` (Jude 20 - 23) Quite a graphic picture. Need Christ`s compassion. Marilyn.

  20. Rev 2 26 And he that overcometh, and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations: 27 And he shall rule them with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers: even as I received of my Father. Its the sinful nations that Jesus will rule over, and faithful Christians will have power over. Where do you think this will occur? What "world" shall the saints judge in the future: 1 corinthians 6:2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Hi Argosy, Good scriptures there telling us what the Body of Christ will do, BUT it does not say where they are doing this. We need to know God`s purpose for the Body of Christ & then that will bring clarity. Note - the Queen of England has power `over` Australia & how we govern, but she (& the power she represents) does not live in Australia. Marilyn.

  21. To assert that Christ is presently ruling over this earth when everything is getting more and more evil DOES NOT BRING GLORY TO GOD OR TO CHRIST. Indeed if an unbeliever hears this, he will simply mock Christ and dismiss Christianity as fantasies of the first order. No Christian should deceive himself or others by claiming that the Lord Jesus Christ is ruling over a mess (whether political, economic, or religious). The Bible clearly reveals that when the Lord Jesus Christ truly reigns on earth, every kind of sin and evil will be abolished from this earth, and all evildoers will have been detroyed and consigned to Hell. Those who wish to confirm this should study the Scriptures for themselves.

  22. Kan Here are some scriptures for you dear brother. Isaiah 14:4 That thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon, and say, How hath the oppressor ceased! the golden city ceased! (the King of Babylon is Satan. His golden city is Babylon. This prophecy concerns the take-over by Christ) Isaiah 14:5 The LORD hath broken the staff of the wicked, and the sceptre of the rulers. (The wicked are no longer ruling - Satan's men, for they are cut off) Isaiah 14:6 He who smote the people in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the nations in anger, is persecuted, and none hindereth. (He = Satan. Since the beginning he has ruled unjustly. He is going to be persecuted now - 1000 years in prison first. No one can stop it) Isaiah 14:7 The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet: they break forth into singing. (Finally peace for a time, the earth rejoices) Isaiah 14:8 Yea, the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us. (The trees symbolise people, they are not being cut down anymore. No more wars, no oppression.) Isaiah 14:9 Hell from beneath is moved for thee to meet thee at thy coming: it stirreth up the dead for thee, even all the chief ones of the earth; it hath raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations. (Hell is waiting for Satan, even the dead are being stirred for his arrival. The 2nd judgement is waiting for him and his men. This is the beautiful poetry God uses to describe what's going to happen to him) Isaiah 14:10 All they shall speak and say unto thee, Art thou also become weak as we? art thou become like unto us? (Where is his strength now? Satan will be judged like a man)

  23. I agree with everything you say there alpha, but I would point out that the kinds of threads you are addressing, seem to gravitate to insisting that women dress modestly, and then go on to inject personal opinions and what constitutes modesty. I recently read an article, about how maternity jeans are being manufactured for women in Malaysia, so that they can give birth in hospitals, without disrobing. Modesty takes shape in many forms. However, I do not think that the command to dress modestly, is limited to, or even primarily aimed at, not showing to much skin. I think's it's focus, is more about not getting all gussied up, so as to impress people and be attractive through outward beauty. Instead, I think it is about the inner self, being Godly, and that is a beauty, that is seen in action, not in reflected light waves. As far as how men are to behave, it is no different. Where we might not typically wear eye shadow, perhaps we drive a macho car, or put custom wheels on a car to make it stand out. We want to be seen as standing out, not blending in. Many of us are way to focused on how we are seen by others. It can be in what we own, what we wear, where we live, even wear we work. Being a movie star, has a kind of prestige, that collecting the garbage does not. Collecting the garbage, is a much more useful occupation to the benefit of others. The Bible even addresses our prayer life in this way. We can pray publicly, in a way so as to be seen by others, or we can retreat to our closet to be hear by God only. Vanity, self centered expressions (Facebook and Twitter exist for this), even writing a post in the forums, can all be misused and wasted efforts. Maybe both genders, can look at any action and ponder, how is this helping others, how does this make others feel, how does this glorify God? If we were to keep those things in mind, we would not go too far off.

  25. John 8:1–11 (NASB95) 1But Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2Early in the morning He came again into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him; and He sat down and began to teach them. 3The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman caught in adultery, and having set her in the center of the court, 4they said to Him, “Teacher, this woman has been caught in adultery, in the very act. 5“Now in the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women; what then do You say?” 6They were saying this, testing Him, so that they might have grounds for accusing Him. But Jesus stooped down and with His finger wrote on the ground. 7But when they persisted in asking Him, He straightened up, and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8Again He stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9When they heard it, they began to go out one by one, beginning with the older ones, and He was left alone, and the woman, where she was, in the center of the court. 10Straightening up, Jesus said to her, “Woman, where are they? Did no one condemn you?” 11She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more.” Set aside every sermon you ever heard on this passage, every commentary, every thought as to why the scribes and Pharisees did what they did and did not do what they did not do. Focus just on the woman and on Christ. This was before the cross. Before the New Covenant took affect. Grace. Now look at us. Long after the New Covenant too affect. How many of us committed adultery lately? Showing too much skin? Ogling everything that moves? How many of us are divorced? Remarried? Married to a divorcee? How many have had actual adulterous affairs? How many times have we been to the 1 John 1:9 bar of soap? Back to the woman in John 8. Doubtless she went through hell on earth after that kind of exposure before people. And more than likely she never committed adultery again. But can we rationalize she never committed any other sin ever again? Back to us... I am not soft peddling homosexuality. But I am saying we heterosexuals and more to the point we Christian heterosexuals bear a lot more guilt and responsibility for the condition of the world than we realize or face. So what is the big difference between the scribes and the Pharisees trotting the woman caught in adultery out to be judged and we Christian heterosexuals trotting the homosexuals out to be judged? We need to get our house in order first! Homosexuals mocking marriage? Why not? Heterosexuals have been doing a bang up job of it for generations. Ask yourself, if getting all cleaned up before you were saved was a requirement for your salvation would you be saved now? And how well would your personal sacrifices for the faith (after the fact of salvation NOT for salvation) stack up to: Luke 14:25–35 (NASB95) 25Now large crowds were going along with Him; and He turned and said to them, 26“If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple. 27“Whoever does not carry his own cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. 28“For which one of you, when he wants to build a tower, does not first sit down and calculate the cost to see if he has enough to complete it? 29“Otherwise, when he has laid a foundation and is not able to finish, all who observe it begin to ridicule him, 30saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish.’ 31“Or what king, when he sets out to meet another king in battle, will not first sit down and consider whether he is strong enough with ten thousand men to encounter the one coming against him with twenty thousand? 32“Or else, while the other is still far away, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. 33“So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions. 34“Therefore, salt is good; but if even salt has become tasteless, with what will it be seasoned? 35“It is useless either for the soil or for the manure pile; it is thrown out. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.” When we do not do our duty when we do not do our job the world goes down the toilet. Ah but we have lives to lead and worldly things to purchase to pursue happiness... Now reread the scriptures above. Such things must happen to the little children but woe to those through whom they happen... including those of us who did nothing to stop it not even lifting a finger or bending a knee in prayer... God help us to repent and revive and step up!

  26. That's what I just said the magi met the king , from Juda and they brought to him gold to make the golden sensor and the spices to burn, that is a good picture of the king who would be the high priest the Christ. Couple with the sign of the of the Aaronic priesthood by not giving him a son. Later he got a son who declare his is greater than me meaning also a greater priest, thank you for interacting, You have guts, Jesus needs people like you in the front line, I am only suggesting, allow the spirit to work in you, don't come to Jesus with a frame mind from the information you get from some sources, go to him with a empty mind do to speak Thank you for interacting, I am always here.

  27. Revelation is a very good book to study even in the beginning of one's biblical studies. The book is fraught with old testament symbolism and understanding. So it drives you back into the rest of the Bible to search out the matter / symbolism / figure of speech. In the case of Jezebel in Revelation you would do well to study about her in the old testament. As I recall (somewhat rusty on her as it has been many years since I even read that passage) after the prophet Elijah had such a victory over the prophets of Baal (Jezebel's name has to do with baal and it was her god), she threatened to kill Elijah and he ran like one of us would... after so great a miraculous victory over the prophets of baal. 1 Kings 16 - 19 and 2 Kings 9 or thereabouts.

Never in the past an angel took goods and left, and I am sure that Abraham if he wanted to go and visit Melhisedec at his Kingtom he could do it. To Make fictitious stories like that don't help the Gospel and we know who Jesus is when he was born and we knowvhis mother i hope so and we know his father who is in hesven the heavenly father , by his own testimony, also know who he was before he comes in the flesh, EMMANUEL , and we know that is the first of all creation. And that he came from the father, and we know what he did before he empty himself from all his glory and knowledge ... Been found as in conception void from everything from the past he brought nothing with him, no cheating there he started from scratch. He was inform who he was. 29. The wise men came to honor the King of the Jews not the High Priest. Jesus is the High Priest of the faith and King and Prophet. Only his messianic office was to be all three. This is why King Saul was eliminated. The last straw with God was being a prophet and king he crossed the lines over into the priesthood when he offered an official sacrifice because he feared his troops were abandoning him and Samuel the priest was tardy.

And you know that already, you know the birth of the hight priest from the tribe of Juda, you know how the spirit sent thre men from afar and how they follow the light and how it was witnes to them, who is that star when it rested on Jesus and they gave him the gold and the spices, symbols of the sign that he is the priest from the tribe of Juda, the gold to make the golden insence holder and the spices to burn. That's what the high priest do before they enter in the most holy place. We all know his birth, why would you say, you don't know, this not good people may question your soundness , your credibility, I dont mean the Christians that too, but the enemies of the Gospel. Remember that Zaharias was without a son, a son was not given to him to continuing in the pristhood, instand the pristhood was given to a another son out of the Aaron's family. Even when Jonh the Baptis later been the heir of the priesthood said not me he is greater than me, he pointed to Jesus been the Christ. You know Jonh never served in the temple.

  31. The "perfect" condition of Eden was at best a buffer between the two realities of eternal life and eternal death. A condition we exist in today though in a dying imperfect Eden now. The implications are staggering of the existence in Perfect Eden of the two trees (the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil) of destiny, gateways to either eternity. God warned man about the tree of death. As far as the scriptures read, he did not even tell man about the tree of life††. And to keep man's fallen nature from being made eternal (the fate of the fallen angels, btw), God banished man from access to the tree of life and set a guard (an angel with a flaming sword)... the world's first Jedi Knight. Was procreation prepped and raring to go? Yes. But until the fall, it was unnecessary. God knew the fall would take place soon. †† Warning Adam about the tree of death was also to bring his attention to it. Curiosity killed more than the cat. I interpret (meaning I may be completely wrong) that to be a nudge to kick start a greater purpose God had in mind. That from the very beginning what was done down here was intended to affect "heavenly places." That what began in the spirit realm has been / is / will be resolved in this realm. In my foolish feeble mind, I imagine it is nothing more than to show to the spirit realm that God is more than just, more than fair... remember the angels who sinned just once did so in their eternal state and are irredeemably condemned since they cannot die. To create a race of beings that can be redeemed to prove God is just and fair required this immense universe we are just now discovering how big it really is. Remember too that the Creator of all things created in the beginning paid the greatest price becoming one of us and laid down that life to pay the redemption price for all mankind... all we have to do is believe to claim that redemption.

I believe this is the true understanding of Melchizedek -- King of Salem (King of Peace) and King of Righteousness (Heb 7:1-3): 1 For this Melchisedec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him; 2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace; 3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually. 4 Now consider how great this man was, unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils. On the contrary, no evidence has ever been presented that the Second Law breaks down under any circumstances.” {Emphasis Mine} A.B. Pippard, Elements of Chemical Thermodynamics for Advanced Students of Physics (1966), p. 100. When he says this... That means he's referring to the Mistaken Antecedent ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^. In other words, there aren't any Violations, EVER. Follow? It's quite clear what he's saying, just like.....(Einstein, Asimov, Ross, Davies, et al), by the totality of his thought here. What does this mean to you (From Above)..."no evidence has ever been presented that the Second Law breaks down under any circumstances" ?? Really? How so.....? Go ahead and Validate this Baseless Assertion (Fallacy) by specifically showing HOW and WHERE it is out of context....? Yea sure....especially when each systematically refutes your unsupported conjectures. It's called Supporting what you say and it's practiced from 3rd Grade to the Supreme Court on a daily basis and is Uber Prolific in Scientific Literature....in the form of Parenthetical Citations, Bibliographies/Works Cited Pages. Due to the Impracticality of using a Bibliography/Works Cited Page in forums and their formats, I just go ahead and Provide the Entire Quote/Quotes with the Appropriate Citations right in the body of my posts. Your "contrived" charge is quite Nonsensical here. You also have seemed to have dropped (among others) your: 2LOT only applies to "Closed-Systems" motif. Does that mean tacitly, that you were mistaken with this conjecture? 2LOT applies to the entire universe IN TOTO...it is Immutable like all of the Laws of Thermodynamics. However, I always think of it it terms of DeltaG and it's impact on Biological Systems... that's where my expertise lies. Now we're moving beyond mere "Statistics" sir. 38. The focus, I believe, is inappropriate given that there doesn't seem to be first a focus first on how believing men treat women. Men don't indulge in such exposure because women don't respond to it in the same sort of way that men respond to scantily clad women. Were believing men doing what they were supposed to, simply by treating women in the ways outlined in scripture in the OP, this issue would diminish. Why can't it be both? We should be teaching our young men how to treat women in a biblical manner as the daughters of God that they are, and our young women should be taught to dress and behave in a biblical manner as the daughters of God that they are. This teaching should begin in the home, by the parents, and re-enforced in the church. If you have Godly parents who teach their children these principles (and live them themselves) then the girls won't grow up to idolize the Hollywood starlets and how they dress, and the young men will know how to treat women. We shouldn't be focused just on the males, or just on the females, but both.

  42. Larry 2 - With no fault, why was Daniel allowed to go to the Lion’s den (Dan 6:16)? What of Dan 3:20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. But Dan 3:25 shows that Jesus was in the furnace protecting them from all harm. I suggest that since we read in Heb 13:8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever, and that we are told by Paul in: Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God . . . They suffered the consequence, but God protected them in their righteous stand for Him. George - As Daniel is thrown into the lions den -- it's a death sentence, yet this picture of death becomes fully understood as Daniel emerges and later is a picture of resurrection! Larry 2 - Are you basing this on Dan 7:14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. George - Dan 6:22 My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm." Larry 2 - Jesus appeared with Shadrach in the fire. George - Rev 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." Larry 2 - I’m pretty sure that you’re aware that the word “On” the earth in Rev 5:10 can also be translated as “Over” the earth. My question is why Jesus and all with Him in heaven would come to earth to rule? The all Israel that shall be saved will be on earth at that time, while the firstfruits of them (The 144,000) are already in heaven with Jesus on mount Sion (The heavenly Jerusalem – Heb 12:22 ) Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins (the five wise ones?). These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God (of Israel) and to the Lamb. George - As Daniel, a Jew, was brought before Darius a pagan king, so was Yeshua, a Jew, was brought before pagan ruler to be executed. In both the lives of Yeshua and Daniel, there was no fault found in them! Larry 2 - Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Are these 144,000 in type the same as with Yeshua and Daniel with no fault? Thanks for the study Brother George.

  46. That's a common erroneous assumption just because there are parables preceding this narrative in chapter 15. But the Holy Spirit is careful to distinguish this narrative from parables. The parables probably end at Luke 15:32, and the narrative of the unjust steward (Lk 16:1-8) appears to be a real life scenario with a very significant lesson. It starts with "And he said also..." whereas Lk 15:3 says "And he spake this parable unto them, saying..." But at Luke 16:14 we see an end to the parables and the response of the Pharisees to those "sayings" of Jesus. Then we have Christ's teaching on divorce, followed abruptly by the story of the rich man and Lazarus. None of the parables use specific names such as Lazarus and Abraham, but this narrative is very specific, therefore this is a revelation of the unseen world (Sheol) by Christ Himself. It reveals two *compartments*separated by a wide chasm in Hades, one for the righteous dead, the other for the unrighteous. We also have a dialogue between Abraham and Dives or Diverus (as the rich man is sometime called). It is truly amazing how and why some Christians would like to dismiss this narrative as a parable, when there is no such indication, and there is no other teaching on the unseen world in the NT similar to this. As to the comment above that this story is "illustrating" something, exactly what is it "illustrating"? Parables use ordinary life illustrations for teaching a spiritual lesson, but this narrative is about something which men know nothing about. No one has visited Hades and returned to earth. Christ was in Hades and then went to Heaven.

  48. Question: "Who was Melchizedek?" Answer:Melchizedek, whose name means “king of righteousness,” was a king of Salem (Jerusalem) and priest of the Most High God (Genesis 14:18–20;Psalm 110:4;Hebrews 5:6–11;6:20—7:28). Melchizedek’s sudden appearance and disappearance in the book of Genesis is somewhat mysterious. Melchizedek and Abraham first met after Abraham’s defeat of Chedorlaomer and his three allies. Melchizedek presented bread and wine to Abraham and his weary men, demonstrating friendship. He bestowed a blessing on Abraham in the name ofEl Elyon(“God Most High”) and praised God for giving Abraham a victory in battle (Genesis 14:18–20). Abraham presented Melchizedek with a tithe (a tenth) of all the items he had gathered. By this act Abraham indicated that he recognized Melchizedek as a priest who ranked higher spiritually than he. InPsalm 110, a messianic psalm written by David (Matthew 22:43), Melchizedek is presented as a type of Christ. This theme is repeated in the book of Hebrews, where both Melchizedek and Christ are considered kings of righteousness and peace. By citing Melchizedek and his unique priesthood as a type, the writer shows that Christ’s new priesthood is superior to the old levitical order and the priesthood of Aaron (Hebrews 7:1–10). Some propose that Melchizedek was actually a pre-incarnate appearance of Jesus Christ, or aChristophany. This is a possible theory, given that Abraham had received such a visit before. ConsiderGenesis 17where Abraham saw and spoke with the Lord (El Shaddai) in the form of a man. Hebrews 6:20says, “[Jesus] has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” This termorderwould ordinarily indicate a succession of priests holding the office. None are ever mentioned, however, in the long interval from Melchizedek to Christ, an anomaly that can be solved by assuming that Melchizedek and Christ are really the same person. Thus the “order” is eternally vested in Him and Him alone. Hebrews 7:3says that Melchizedek was “without father or mother, without genealogy, without beginning of days or end of life, resembling the Son of God, he remains a priest forever.” The question is whether the author of Hebrews means thisactuallyorfiguratively. If the description in Hebrews is literal, then it is indeed difficult to see how it could be properly applied to anyone but the Lord Jesus Christ. No mere earthly king “remains a priest forever,” and no mere human is “without father or mother.” IfGenesis 14describes a theophany, then God the Son came to give Abraham His blessing (Genesis 14:17–19), appearing as the King of Righteousness (Revelation 19:11,16), the King of Peace (Isaiah 9:6), and the Mediator between God and Man (1 Timothy 2:5). If the description of Melchizedek is figurative, then the details of having no genealogy, no beginning or ending, and a ceaseless ministry are simply statements accentuating the mysterious nature of the person who met Abraham. In this case, the silence in the Genesis account concerning these details is purposeful and better serves to link Melchizedek with Christ. Are Melchizedek and Jesus the same person? A case can be made either way. At the very least, Melchizedek is a type of Christ, prefiguring the Lord’s ministry. But it is also possible that Abraham, after his weary battle, met and gave honor to the Lord Jesus Himself. Read more:http://www.gotquestions.org/Melchizedek.html#ixzz3es3Y6HIt
