  1. Shalom everyone, As we continue this study, I'll be focusing on Daniel and his picture of the resurrection and its connection with Yeshua (Jesus). Dan 6:2 and over them three high officials, of whom Daniel was one, to whom these satraps should give account, so that the king might suffer no loss. Dan 6:10 When Daniel knew that the document had been signed, he went to his house where he had windows in his upper chamber open toward Jerusalem. He got down on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as he had done previously. So Daniel prayed three times a day, as his custom was -- and we've seen previously how often the number 3 is connected to the resurrection. Dan 6:4 Then the high officials and the satraps sought to find a ground for complaint against Daniel with regard to the kingdom, but they could find no ground for complaint or any fault, because he was faithful, and no error or fault was found in him. Mat 26:59 Now the chief priests and the whole council were seeking false testimony against Jesus that they might put him to death, Mat 26:60 but they found none, though many false witnesses came forward. Luk 23:4 Then Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds, "I find no guilt in this man." As Daniel, a Jew, was brought before Darius a pagan king, so was Yeshua, a Jew, was brought before pagan ruler to be executed. In both the lives of Yeshua and Daniel, there was no fault found in them! Dan 6:5 Then these men said, "We shall not find any ground for complaint against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God." Joh 19:7 The Jews answered him, "We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God." Notice also the satraps used the "law of his God" to execute him, just as the "pharisees" used the "law" to execute Yeshua! Dan 6:6 Then these high officials and satraps came by agreement to the king and said to him, "O King Darius, live forever! Luk 23:2 And they began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king." Joh 19:15 They cried out, "Away with him, away with him, crucify him!" Pilate said to them, "Shall I crucify your King?" The chief priests answered, "We have no king but Caesar." Just as the "satraps" peddled their trap in disguise as "oh King", the Pharisees plotted against "Jesus" by claiming they had no King but Caesar! Dan 6:7 All the high officials of the kingdom, the prefects and the satraps, the counselors and the governors are agreed that the king should establish an ordinance and enforce an injunction, that whoever makes petition to any god or man for thirty days, except to you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Mat 26:15 and said, "What will you give me if I deliver him over to you?" And they paid him thirty pieces of silver. Notice the "satraps" of Daniel's day -- plotted as how they could destroy Daniel -- just as the Pharisees did in Yeshua's day. Connected to the plot to destroy Daniel was the number 30 -- just as 30 was connected to the plot to kill Yeshua. Dan 6:13 Then they answered and said before the king, "Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or the injunction you have signed, but makes his petition three times a day." Dan 6:14 Then the king, when he heard these words, was much distressed and set his mind to deliver Daniel. And he labored till the sun went down to rescue him. Dan 6:15 Then these men came by agreement to the king and said to the king, "Know, O king, that it is a law of the Medes and Persians that no injunction or ordinance that the king establishes can be changed." Mat 27:17 So when they had gathered, Pilate said to them, "Whom do you want me to release for you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?" Mat 27:18 For he knew that it was out of envy that they had delivered him up. Joh 19:12 From then on Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar." Darius knows the reason the men delivered Daniel was because of 'envy' and Darius didn't want to execute Daniel in his heart. Just as Pilate knew it was out of envy the High Priest delivered up Yeshua to be crucified, and Pilate didn't want to execute Yeshua and said, "My hands are clean". As Daniel is thrown into the lions den -- it's a death sentence, yet this picture of death becomes fully understood as Daniel emerges and later is a picture of resurrection! Dan 6:16 Then the king commanded, and Daniel was brought and cast into the den of lions. The king declared to Daniel, "May your God, whom you serve continually, deliver you!" Mat 27:43 He trusts in God; let God deliver him now, if he desires him. For he said, 'I am the Son of God.'" As Darius tells Daniel, may the Lord deliver you -- the same words are uttered before Yeshua. Dan 6:17 And a stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed it with his own signet and with the signet of his lords, that nothing might be changed concerning Daniel. Mat 27:65 Pilate said to them, "You have a guard of soldiers. Go, make it as secure as you can." Mat 27:66 So they went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard. The tomb of "Daniel" is sealed with the King's signet, so was the tomb of Yeshua! Dan 6:18 Then the king went to his palace and spent the night fasting; no diversions were brought to him, and sleep fled from him. Darius could not sleep and was troubled by Daniel in the Lion's den. Mat 27:19 Besides, while he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent word to him, "Have nothing to do with that righteous man, for I have suffered much because of him today in a dream." Pilate's wife was troubled in her sleep because of Yeshua's death. Dan 6:20 As he came near to the den where Daniel was, he cried out in a tone of anguish. The king declared to Daniel, "O Daniel, servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you from the lions?" Dan 6:21 Then Daniel said to the king, "O king, live forever! Dan 6:22 My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm." Dan 6:23 Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. Dan 6:25 Then King Darius wrote to all the peoples, nations, and languages that dwell in all the earth: "Peace be multiplied to you. Dan 6:26 I make a decree, that in all my royal dominion people are to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel, for he is the living God, enduring forever; his kingdom shall never be destroyed, and his dominion shall be to the end. Dan 6:27 He delivers and rescues; he works signs and wonders in heaven and on earth, he who has saved Daniel from the power of the lions." Dan 7:13 "I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. Dan 7:14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. Rev 5:9 And they sang a new song, saying, "Worthy are you to take the scroll and to open its seals, for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation, Rev 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." Rev 5:13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying, "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!" Rev 12:10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, "Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. And finally the thematic connection to the "resurrection" is its connection to the Kingdom of God! For His is a Kingdom that shall never be destroyed! Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George

  2. Satan certainly started the ball of evil rolling. But some stuff just happens because of circumstances. God doesn't protect us from all evil, but i do believe He is opportunistic and makes the most of circumstances to teach us and refine us. Sometimes it is our own bungeling that we miss the last step in the dark. Sometimes we are the victim of a drunk driver or we are distracted by someone vomiting on us while driving. Stuff just happens. That doesn't mean that satan directly caused it or the God sent it into our lives. I do believe that God forsees it all and has a plan to make it work for good in the lives of believers. God has sent judgement on nations. Satan does try to thwart the efforts of those who spread the Gospel. God may also intervene in peoples' lives as He did Saul's on the road to Demascus. But I don't believe that this is the norm. Many people are tempted on the way to church, for instance, and arrive with a bad attitude. Pastors ususally are attacked in some way during sermon preperation or just prior to Church. God gave permission for Job to be afflicted but set limits to which satan still had to abide. God is still in ultimate control. We can entrust ourselves to His hands.

  3. We are faced with choices every day, every moment of every day...do we not play any part in our choice? If we choose wrongly is it satan who forced our choice? Where is our responsibility for our own actions and choices? It is too easy to blame satan.this does not mean that he does not present us with a temptation but we choose. Satan tempted Jesus but He chose to,put satan in his place. We are resposible for our actions and choices that lead to consequences we may grievously regret. Satan always to blame? No. We were blessed with free will.

  4. Do you ask others to pray for you? Why do you go through them as well instead of just go to Jesus yourself alone? Why does a Catholic have to go to a confession and a priest for forgiveness when they have a direct line to Jesus themselves? Why did Jesus tell his Apostles John 20:23 "If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” if the Apostles and their successors were not to be available to forgive sins? Most of this is hinted to be at a Millennial reign of Jesus whereby there will be the Disciples on twelve thrones judging the nation of Israel and Jesus will be with a rod of iron ruling the world while the perpetuation of confusion ,by sin, will be greatly reduced by lucifers placement in the bottomless pit... They (Disciples and Jesus) at this time will be ruling together and bringing the world back to a garden like state- (cleaning up the mess we will) . We, as now, are sinners left in (flesh not redeemed) and are able to be deceived by that flesh and are even told not to judge one another as to eternal outcome... as we are in this present weakness the verse cannot be of the Church age but another... what Shiloh has said is a possible partial fulfillment but the fullness of The Word fulfilled will be in the Millennium. There can only be one redeemer- The One Who 'IS' without sin and that of course is The Lord Jesus and when we go home we then also shall be without sin but the eternal debt as to why we are-> will be the eternity of worship He will be due by His very presence we will be in... love, Steven Do you not participate in the process of redemption every time you pray for and help someone accept Jesus as their savior? Do you not become a co-laborer with Christ? Do you not work alongside of Christ? There is only ONE Redeemer. There are many co-redeemers - Christians who work along side of Christ is His work of redemption, bringing redemption to others. That is what "co-" means - with, along side of. We participate in Christ's redemptive work in a lessor way. We do not take his place. We point to him as we work with him. The power to forgive sins was given to toe Apostles in that verse, and it is very plain. It immediately follows the sending by Jesus of the 12 - JUST AS the Father sent Jesus - so Jesus sent the 12. JUST AS. IN THE SAME WAY. With the SAME power and authority Jesus was sent with, so he sent the 12. That SAME power and authority included the power and authority to forgive sins. That SAME power and authority included the power and authority to send others with that same power and authority. So Jesus says: John 20:21-23 Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you withhold forgiveness from any, it is withheld.” It is plain as day. The words are unambiguous. Jesus gave the apostles the SAME power and authority to forgive sins he was sent with. That is the plain, clear, text of scripture, even in English. When we look at the Greek it becomes even clearer: "you forgive" "aphiēmi" ἀφίημι means: to let go, give up a debt, forgive, to remitThe word is in the 2nd Aorist tense, Active Voice, and Subjunctive Mood. This means: 2nd Aorist is the same as 1st Aorist, andThe aorist tense is characterized by its emphasis on punctiliar action; that is, the concept of the verb is considered without regard for past, present, or future time. There is no direct or clear English equivalent for this tense, though it is generally rendered as a simple past tense in most translations. So the forgiving by the 12 is without regard to any particular time. It happens when they decide it will happen. Active Voice - this means:The active voice represents the subject as the doer or performer of the action. e.g., in the sentence, "The boy hit the ball," the boy performs the action. so the 12 Apostles are the doers of the act of forgiving - they are actually the ones forgiving just as Jesus forgave people. Subjunctive Mood - this means:The subjunctive mood is the mood of possibility and potentiality. The action described may or may not occur, depending upon circumstances. so the choice to forgive sins is really and truly theirs. They can choose to forgive or not forgive, and what they choose to do, heaven follows.which is seen in the very next words: "they are forgiven" "aphiēmi" ἀφίημι means the same as it did above: to let go, give up a debt, forgive, to remit This time it is in the PRESENT TENSE, PASSIVE VOICE, and INDICATIVE MOOD. This means: PRESENT TENSEThe present tense represents a simple statement of fact or reality viewed as occurring in actual time. In most cases this corresponds directly with the English present tense. so, the affirmation of forgiveness when the apostles forgive sins is immediate and in the present moment of when the forgiveness is given by the 12. PASSIVE VOICEThe passive voice represents the subject as being the recipient of the action so the forgiveness is received as a natural consequence of the forgiveness actively given by the 12 Apostles.there is nothing more that needs be done. By their word another is forgiven their sins. INDICATIVE MOODThe indicative mood is a simple statement of fact. If an action really occurs or has occurred or will occur, it will be rendered in the indicative mood. so this is a simple, plain, statement of fact. It is true on its face. There is no mystery here. Just as Jesus was sent with the power and authority to forgive sins, so the 12 Apostles were sent with the power to forgive sins. The word of the Lord.

  5. Christians should clearly distinguish between persecution for the sake of the Gospel and their Christian witness, and self-defence against those who would harm us and our loved ones. Christians should also use every means available to maximize their personal security, and for some it may mean carrying lethal weapons, which can be used to disable rather than kill. The examples we have in the New Testament pertain to persecution, not predatory personal attacks by criminals. While God does have His hand over His children, He also requires the use of prudence and wisdom by all believers. Faith should not become foolishness. And the Lord did tell His disciples to purchase swords for their own protection (Lk 22:36), while He rebuked Peter for trying to protect Him who called have called down "more than twelve legions (a great multitude) of angels" had He chosen to protect Himself.

  6. Slavery is a state of mind. Slaves can be free while enslaved. Freemen can be slaves while apparently free. Paul was not addressing slavery per se in Philemon but the relationship of believers to each other. Within the Body of Christ there is neither bond nor free. At the same time all believers are the "purchased possession" of Christ who has purchased us from the slave market of sin. We should consider the various forms of slavery to which people are bound today, particularly theirs sins, addictions, obsessions, and their fallacies. As indicated above If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 True freedom comes from becoming a "bond slave" of Christ.

  7. different place different time, this topic is actually two different topics rolled into one, let me seperate them: The first, is whether or not its a sin to own weapons (note, this is just to OWN them, not to use them) Which, regardless of what anyone says, there is nowhere in the Bible that says you can't own one. Period. All the verses pertaining to weapons, deal with their use, not whether or not you own one. So, simply owning one, is not a sin, no matter how you look at it-a gun thats locked in a gun case and never comes out, is simply a hunk of metal locked in a gun case never to come out. Some may argue that simply "owning one" isn't trusting God or that its living by the sword-but lets face it, that is stretching those arguments so far as to be totally unrealistic. The second, and this ones the controversial one, is the actual use of the weapon, whether they can or should be used, and in what circumstances they can be used. Some draw the line at only target shooting and/or hunting. Some for self defense. Others, only soldiers. Of course there are those that say if you use a firearm your living by it. Me personally, there is a difference between being beat for my faith-and someone breaking into my home at night to try and take my kids, for example. If someone is mocking me or persecuting me just because im a christian, I think the proper approach is what Paul did-take it, or leave. We are called to be lights onto the world, and were not called to kill people just because they are persecuting you, we do not serve Allah. But that guy breaking into my home in the middle of the night, isnt after me because im a christian-he has other devious things in mind, which may include hurting my family for his own gain, the family that God put me in place to protect-so in that case, while I do not want to, I feel deadly force is indeed justified, and biblical.

  8. I've been away in the mountains for a couple days, I needed some long over due one on one time with God, so I went camping. I thought it would be all one on one time, but God had different plans. My heart was burden and I needed some answers, I was hoping during this camping trip that I would find the answers I was looking for. I wasn't going to write what was weighing heavy on my heart, but I can't make the point on how God gave me the answer I was looking for without writing about it. I've been having this feeling there was something missing in my relationship with those I love, mainly my wife. We have been married forty one years now, I love my wife very dearly but something was different, I wasn't feeling the closeness, the affection as it use to be and it was tearing me apart inside. My father passed away May a year ago, I hardly shed a tear and I loved my Father very much, maybe that is why this is coming to ahead and weighing heavy on me (I knew something wasn't right). I needed to find the root to my burden and prayed God would lead me to it. Before I headed to the mountains I went to a grocery store for food supplies, while waiting in the checkout line I seen a book on the book rack written by a Christian outdoors writer whose last name is Chapman (can't remember his first name and I don't have the book with me). I had the feeling God was telling me to buy the book and take it with me camping. So the book came along with me and my Bible, can't have one on one time with God without my Bible. As I said I thought this was going to be one on one time with God and there was some one on one time, but I was camping not too far from our cabin where my son and his family are staying. Needless to say when my grandsons knew pappy was camping not too far away, they visited me very often. One morning my five year old grandson came for breakfast, food always taste better in the outdoors, specially when pap is making it. After breakfast and the dishes were washed we sat at the campfire and my grandson noticed this book which I haven't opened yet and he wanted me to read him some stories out of it. After reading about two stories I came to a short story about a boy and his dog. The story told how this boy and his dog did everything together, time past and the boy grew up to be a man, towards the end of the story we found out that it was the mans wife telling this story to her grandson. In the end she said now grandpa has gone to be with his dog again. Right there it hit me, I started to cry and said to my grandson the man in the story is me. If anybody remembers a post I made a week or so ago about a dog I had when I was a child, this story might as well have been about me and my dog. I realize in my first twenty years on this planet I lost so many things I loved dearly and I remembered saying I would never get close to things I loved again, I didn't want to feel the pain of losing them. The problem was me, I was the root to what was weighing heavy on my heart, I was keeping people I loved at arms length, not wanting to get too close. Now God has revealed to me the root of the way I feel, I now have to figure out how to deal with it. Well that's my story on how God used a book and my grandson to shed some light on my heart. Oldzimm Side note: My grandson also learned there is nothing wrong for a full grown man to cry over his emotion.

  9. Incidentally, were all forgetting 4 very important things, one Jesus told the disciples to purchase swords before Peters incident in the garden, 2 Jesus didn't rebuke Peter for having the sword, just for its improper use, 3 the new testament does NOT prohibit owning a sword, and finally the old testament does tell us when and how deadly force can be used, and the new testament not only says that ALL scripture is to be used, and that the law is there so that we know what sin is.

  10. I agree that we will be gathered on the day of the Lord. I do not think that anyone can say for certain when the first four seals have been or will be opened. I do believe the 5th seal will be opened during the 42 month war with the saints and that the 6th seal will be opened just before the day of the Lord begins. Jeff

  11. Larry 2 - With no fault, why was Daniel allowed to go to the Lion’s den (Dan 6:16)? What of Dan 3:20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. But Dan 3:25 shows that Jesus was in the furnace protecting them from all harm. I suggest that since we read in Heb 13:8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever, and that we are told by Paul in: Rom 13:1 Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Rom 13:2 Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God . . . They suffered the consequence, but God protected them in their righteous stand for Him. George - As Daniel is thrown into the lions den -- it's a death sentence, yet this picture of death becomes fully understood as Daniel emerges and later is a picture of resurrection! Larry 2 - Are you basing this on Dan 7:14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. George - Dan 6:22 My God sent his angel and shut the lions' mouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless before him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm." Larry 2 - Jesus appeared with Shadrach in the fire. George - Rev 5:10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God, and they shall reign on the earth." Larry 2 - I’m pretty sure that you’re aware that the word “On” the earth in Rev 5:10 can also be translated as “Over” the earth. My question is why Jesus and all with Him in heaven would come to earth to rule? The all Israel that shall be saved will be on earth at that time, while the firstfruits of them (The 144,000) are already in heaven with Jesus on mount Sion (The heavenly Jerusalem – Heb 12:22 ) Rev 14:1 And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. Rev 14:4 These are they which were not defiled with women; for they are virgins (the five wise ones?). These are they which follow the Lamb whithersoever he goeth. These were redeemed from among men, being the firstfruits unto God (of Israel) and to the Lamb. George - As Daniel, a Jew, was brought before Darius a pagan king, so was Yeshua, a Jew, was brought before pagan ruler to be executed. In both the lives of Yeshua and Daniel, there was no fault found in them! Larry 2 - Rev 14:5 And in their mouth was found no guile: for they are without fault before the throne of God. Are these 144,000 in type the same as with Yeshua and Daniel with no fault? Thanks for the study Brother George.

  12. Absolutely. Not only did He give them to Moses but He personally wrote them supernaturally on those stone tablets TWICE (Exod 24:12; 32:16; 34:1-4).

  13. hello agai, Paul mentions aspects of Bishops (overseers) in Timothy, but pastor gifts and apostles, prophets, evangelist and teachers, are given from God we can discuss the aspects of these gifts but that is a longer talk. Remeber Paul said he was an aopstle, not of men, or by men, but of God. This is the calling for all ministers. Men can recognize this call and gift. But these overseers who are also elders and who may have one of the five fold gifts, are not as Lords or exalted men over others The marks of false ministers Paul warns about in 2 Cor they exalt themsleves and take of others etc, Pal also said that they wpuld draw away disciples after themselves. John warned of Diotrephese who loved to have the preminance among them and did not receive the brethren and kicked them out. John also tells believers how to know the false and true by the anointing which abides in believers. He said you have no need that any man should teach you 1 John 2 . Yes God gives teachers but we listen for the witness in us and for the word.

  14. Depends on the tribe. The only ones who view it as a holy site are the local tribes. Other arizona tribes dont care. (Mt Graham is in az.) When Tom Horn talked with the Apaches, Navajoes and one other I can't remember, that is what the elders and a shaman told him. and I do remember the court cases at the time for I wondered why they wanted to go there in the first place.... and why they would get congress to force the issue. Anyway it didn't make sense to me then... and i guess really doesn't now...

John 8:58 (NIV84) 58“I tell you the truth,” Jesus answered, “before Abraham was born, I am!” Exodus 3:13–15 (NIV84) 13Moses said to God, “Suppose I go to the Israelites and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ Then what shall I tell them?” 14God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ” 15God also said to Moses, “Say to the Israelites, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers—the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob—has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation. 17. Thank you for taking the time to answer,I will read the book you suggest I very much appreciate your time to explain knowing how many people get saved through Worthyboard and your and Rivka's ministry. There is still a lot of misunderstanding about those topics amongst Christians , I very much do agree with you when you mentioned the Holy Spirit gives different gifts at different times to different people. For me to able to be a witness and show Jesus to other people is the most important gift to posses . We need the Holy Spirit today to convict people and bring more people in the Kingdom ,we all should we looking for more of God,less of us ,so He can work through us for the days are getting short~~~ Thank you~~~waiting for more messages to be posted?
