  1. Serving If I could give some good advice, don't get drawn into this any further brother. You don't need to justify yourself or prove anything, just let it go, or it will turn into a circus. Proverbs 16:19 Better it is to be of an humble spirit with the lowly, than to divide the spoil with the proud. Ecclesiastes 4:6 Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. Ecclesiastes 7:8 Better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof: and the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.

  2. Hi Diaste, It's okay to disagree, but do it with taste .. bring forth your scriptures you believe I am abusing & allow me to defend them .. you still haven't brought forth anything substantial but merely engage in "Elephant hurling". Don't be "sorry" .. it only took me a minute to whip up seeing I know the subject well, it was very simple & quickly & easily rebutted .. all one needs is PERSONAL understanding, it took no time at all, the answers were already withn me .. I have been feeding on His flesh after all .. you should try it someday. Anyway, considering you accused me of no understanding biblical concepts in any way shape or form, the ONLY post I could think of where to defend myself was in the example I answered .. so I didn't need to "find out what position to defend" as you say, merely showing how wrong your interpretation was just by using the scriptures did that for me .. other words, I proved that what you used as representing "your understanding of biblical concepts" was glaringly WRONG against the correct use of them of which I, who am meant to be scripturally blind, actually had to point out to you. So no .. I made my point quite well I believe. Unless of course you wish to defend that rebuttal and try and prove me otherwise. WHY? Because I disagree with you in arguments you have not once been able to refute scripturally? How presumptuous .. you don't know a thing about me & my many sacrifices for my Lord. Again, no evidences provided, just personal presumption. And secondly, NOTHING I have read ANYWHERE totally agrees with my interpretations, ALL interpretations have similarities to some extent simply because we all source our interpretations from the SAME BOOK. Of course things seem like this or that doctrine ON THE SURFACE, but I assure you, NOT ONE doctrine "out there" fits with what I am speaking .. so no, you have no substantiation to your claim STILL. Bring forth your evidences as to WHAT doctrines I am speaking that are "generally considered erroneous" and exactly WHO these are doing the considering .. who .. YOUR church? Now that would make sense. And yet I have already used scripture on more than one occasion (thanks for reminding me Sister) to rebut you, and it was THOSE SCRIPTURES I used that exposed your errors, errors you are teaching .. yet I am the holder of doctrines of devils am I? Isn't the one who teaches error more likely to be the holder of such doctrines? Hmm .. your accusations are baseless. What? Erroneous ones I have already long ago considered and TESTED and rejected !! Or do you really mean it is because I disagree with your interpretation? Hmm There Is your problem .. feeding on the flesh of man .. no wonder you are so confused. WHY didn't you just read the scriptures themselves? WHY rely on others to do the work for you? That kind of laziness is never rewarded with true understanding from on high, but only earthly understanding from on low. The key is to live the gospels in sincerity, just YOU and the Source .. not these worthless books of men that only serve to confuse .. LIVE the gospel & SUBMIT to the Lord in your daily walk & only then will wisdom come .. trying to do it any other way is trying to sneak in through the back door .. Another baseless judgment. I consistently pretend to be interested in every world view put forth Why say cheers to a man who promotes "doctrines of devils"? I am no noob that needs others opinions to teach me Diaste .. how about you bring forth your churches doctrines and let me dismantle them piece by piece with the TRUTH .. I certainly won't need to feign interest then let me assure you. Serving.

  5. The Ten Commandments of Online Witnessing Commandment #1 Thou Shalt be Humble. Upon this one commandment do most (if not all) the other commandments hang. Humility is the key to reaching out to others. If arrogance fuels your witnessing, people take note and very rarely desire to listen to more than two sentences from you. If you are struggling in this area, pray for help. God will listen. Proverbs 29:23- A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit. Commandment #2 Thou Shalt Not Pick Fights. Thou shalt not fight with thy neighbor, nor thy neighbor's friends, nor thy website admins. This one should go without saying, but how often do we find Christians actually trading verbal blows with unbelievers and believers alike! What unChrist-like behavior to exhibit. If you feel the onset of AIMrage, step back and cool it. Go take a shower or have a run though the park. If it feels like people are being more unruly than normal, give the internet a rest for a day and come back to it. Doing nothing at all is better than ruining your Christian testimony online. Proverbs 15:1- A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Commandment #3 Thou Shalt Listen. Don't cometh crying to me when people don't want to hear you because you won't heareth them!! You want to make an impact right? Well so does everyone else online (well okay, maybe not everybody). But eveyone at least wants to be heard or they wouldn't be online in the first place. Give them that respect and open your ears and mind to what they say. Many people are driven to the online world because of stress, depression and lonliness. Reach out to them and hear their cries of desperation. When you hear them out they will return the favor in kind. Proverbs 1:5- A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels. Commandment #4 Thou Shalt Use Thy Bible Search Engine With Great Ferver and Dilligence! How canst thou take on the forces of the Evil One without thy sword? The answer is YOU CAN'T!! The internet has one huge advantage that witnessing in real life will never even come close to comparing to- Bible search websites. Twenty years ago if you were witnessing to a person and they produced a difficult question you had no answer to it might take a week or longer before you could get back to them. Not anymore. Drop the question into Google and have your answer. Type some text into a Bible search engine (like Blueletterbible.org) and have a verse in 5 seconds. What an amazing tool! Don't waste it! Hebrews 4:12- For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Commandment #5 Thou Shalt Avoid Chatroom Arguments What? Know ye not that nothing is resolved by arguing in chat rooms? Think back for a moment. Was there ever a time you were in a chat room and were just hit with an amazing spiritual epiphany? No? Me neither. Why's that? Because there are 20 other people in there talking which distracts you and whoever you're talking to from getting the message. Chat rooms should primarily be used for one purpose in regards to witnessing- meeting people to talk to one on one. Which is the more ideal witnessing situation- on a loud, profane, crowded bus, or in the quiet of someone's living room? The same principle applies here. Leave the witnessing for instant message and watch your results change drastically. Acts 8:31- And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up and sit with him. Commandment #6 Thou Shalt Begin With the Gospel Always Remember that it is not by thy strength thou doest what thou doest. The Holy Spirit is the person that does the work of bringing people to an understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. He's going to have a time of it if you're always butting in with different doctrines/beliefs/religious discussions. From the outset, your best bet is to present the word of God and see how it registers with the person. The Bible is the most powerful tool to use with unbelievers because it can say so much more than you or I can. It is the water of life, and people are thirsting. Keep the Romans Road and other great verses handy at all times (even memorize them if you can). 1 Corinthians 1:17- For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. Commandment #7 Thou Shalt Not Ignore Questions Wouldst thou like to be brushed off? In Commandment #6 we realized that our first approach should be the gospel, but what if people have reservations due to skepticism in matters of the Bible, theism or any other aspect of Christianity? Answer their question if you are able. That is what Pre-Evangelism is all about: breaking down all the barriers that prevent the person from accepting Christ. Start out with the gospel, but if a person wants to challenge all that the gospel is based on, don't ignore this challenge. Study up now before you meet it and when it comes have an answer to every person of the hope that you have in Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 3:15- But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear. Commandment #8 Thou Shalt Be Reasonable! The worst thing thou canst possibly do in a conversation is reducing yourself to being beyond reason. Many skeptics will only listen to you if you sound like a reasonable person. Realize this and think about it while you talk. Don't waver from the truths of the scriptures, but also don't dismiss everything an unbeliever says just because they are an unbeliever. Skeptics are fully capable of rational thought and treating them any less than rational normal people will only result in a bitter end to what could have been a useful conversation. Isaiah 1:18- Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. Commandment #9 Thou Shalt Not Waste Time Art thou called to preach Christ unto all people? Then why are you spending all of your time browsing entertainment and shopping sites? Sure, those things are fun, but are you really willing to be used of God to reach people? If you can't pull yourself away from mindless activities like games and quizzes, why even bother witnessing at all? You are there. Unbelievers are there. Do what you know you should be doing! Revelation 3:15,16- I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So because thou art lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will spew thee out of my mouth. Commandment #10 Thou Shalt Be Kind at ALL Times Is not a believer in Christ a new creature? Sometimes we forget who we represent and what God has done for us. We get distracted and taken in by the cares of the world. We begin to get afflicted by the same things that rob unbelievers of their joy such as depression and anger. When our minds are set on the cross and what Christ has done for us, our hearts are able to reflect that love onto other people. Kindness is simply a demonstration of love and can go a million miles towards showing an unbeliever you really care. Don't hesitate to love people. Don't hesitate to be there for them. Put your differences aside when they grieve. Never beat them over the head with the message you bring. Ultimately when you present the truth in love, they will listen, and many times you will see the fruition of your labors for Christ. Psalms 126:6- He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him. 7. Oh, and one more .. er .. last thing I've only ever disagreed with you ONCE and on ONE subject ALONE !! We've only SPOKEN a small handful of times and quite a bit back too !! So is this what this is about? You think that I'm not interested in what you're saying? I listen to what everybody is saying .. I only ever "jump in" randomly when I feel inspired to share or question. I don't have a clue what your "message" even is to "not care for" !! Since we have only ever established one conversation in regards to ONE subject?? (honestly hun .. LOL) Disagreeing on ONE subject doesn't mean I reject everything you might say, just on that ONE subject so far is all Get over it, don't take it personal, debate it instead, what if you are wrong? And I help you to see it? Now that would be nice.

It's only a few minutes long... Lets carry on the conversation between the professor and the man in the white shirt. I'll be the man in the white shirt, and you can continue to be the "professor" yes? So professor :)... why should I not kill you?

  9. Oh Diaste, One more thing .. You either found it convincing or error filled .. you can't have both friend. Did you find it convincing .. buuuuut .. when you realized it contradicted your interpretation TOO much .. all of a sudden it became "error filled"? IF so, it's not a very honest way to weigh up evidences, finding something convincing yet dismissing it with insults instead of scriptures, personal attacks instead of reasoning !! Like evolutionists say .. "things may indeed appear to be designed, but they aren't really, they just look that way" Just like "Convincing arguments, but, error filled" !! Yes I am being picky now .. you've provoked me after all to defend myself It's okay btw .. I don't mind that you dislike me, I got no problem with you personally, and can still hold civil conversations with you hereafter, after I grill you a bit first and no need to apologize (as Sister suggested) okay? Just debate me with evidence and not insults unbacked & we should get along fine enough. Regards.

  10. Wow, I can navigate to the end of the post, now. Thanks George Don't feel alone. I'm also finding the new interface to be somewhat of an adjustment. All my posts look like someone else's quotes. For that reason I've gone old-school. Your quotes are in green and my responses in black. Yes, I had a great weekend studying the integration of pseudo-forms on not orientable surfaces and how it applies to the covariant formulation of Maxwell theory; what could be more fascinating ? okie dokie then..... I guess I'm glad you enjoyed whatever it is that you did. Point 1: it is true that the naturalistic explanation has no sufficient evidence to be granted. I am not sure that the not naturalistic one has more evidence, thought :). I am interested in the necessity of a position. If there are alternatives that have the same evidentiary support, then such necessity fails, at least for what is known today. This is valid for both, klar. Well in philosophy you have something called the law of excluded middle, which basically says that if either P or Q is true and P is false, then Q must be true. If P is more probable than Q then Q is more probably false. One can apply this to moral ontology so that if subjectivism is false, then morals have to be objective. I have been doing just that, by looking at the problems that subjective morality possess and if so, we can conclude that the nature of morality is more likely to be objective than subjective. If morality is objective, then from then one can ask what such a scenario entails and then I think the God hypothesis offers the best explanatory power, but for now we can simply look at likelyhoods, probabilities. Point 2: survival is not important in nature, since we all die eventually. What is important (in a sort of ateological way) is reproduction. I suspect that things like voyerism might interfere with that, like all sexually related things we consider immoral. I'm not sure why you say that because we all die, survival isn't important in nature. I think the mere fact that reproductive drives decline when a species is under threat proves that the survival drive is much stronger than the reproductive drive. Now you can redefine good and bad to mean "good for reproduction" and "bad for reproduction" but you still need to deal with society's counter examples. Would you say abortion is good or bad for reproduction? What about homosexual relationships? And the only answer you gave regarding voyeurism is that you *think* it might interfere with reproduction, but how and why do you say that? I might disagree that it interferes with reproduction, because perhaps voyeurs are more excited than other people, and then where does that leave us? Point 3: we turned 6 billion in the wink of an eye, in evolutionary terms Exactly, so why should I care about killing 10 people especially if doing so eliminates my competition and ensures my genes have a better chance in the gene pool? point 4: now we are adding things that might belong to the next level. Organizational issues, like belonging to a tribe or not. I don't think that survival and reproductive "fitness" is achievable by one simple rule. Usually, it is a messy entanglement of mutually contradicting things with trade offs that still provide a net benefit. And the day it stops to provide those little benefits is the day we will just add our species to the 99% that are already extinct. I agree that morality is complex but notice the problem: on one hand socio-biologists are telling us that our moral instincts are basically just survivability calculations, but they cannot tell us what precisely is being calculated in the first place, yet our moral choice are on a case by case basis. We simply don't calculate our evolutionary fitness before helping an old lady cross the street, even though socio-bioligist tell us we sub-consciously. Doesn't it seem odd that smart socio-biologists cannot tell us what's good or bad, but they know for sure that our genes make these calculations all the time. And why should I listen to my genes? What we should avoid is appeal to nature. The idea that there are things that follow natural order and others that do not. Social Darwinism is a typical example. It attributes teleology to something inherently a-teleological. What exists is nature is, by definition, natural. I would, be the last to call it supernatural For this reason, i think that marking things that seem to contradict nature/evolution as not natural, might suffer from the same fallacy. After all, as long as we are 6 billions, and growing, I doubt evolution would care, even if it could. I'm not sure I follow you point 100%, but I agree with you that evolution doesnt care, but most people who stand with you on the side of subjectivism say that people ought to care. I'm trying to see why, because if it is just because of reproduction, then why should one care? Evolution doesn't and neither do any chemical or physical processes or are even capable. If human beings are mere physical processes, why should one care?

Nevertheless, I'm sure he was just having a bad day and was just taking it out on me, hopefully he will refrain from such tactics of character assassination & false accusations unsubstantiated and see that we are not enemies but fellow seekers of truth. 13. Hi Daniel, This king of the north can not be a Muslim confederation. Firstly, he regards no god nor even regards God Himself .. if he were Muslim he would HAVE to regard Allah full stop .. no getting around that one not even an inch. NO Muslim could EVER be accepted as this coming "Mahdi" if he never acknowledges Allah .. never going to happen, this just can't be reconciled with Daniel 11's "nor regard any god, for he shall magnify himself above all" or "he shall honour the God of forces" so he believes in military might, Since Muslims demand Allah is worshipped (regarded), even their "coming Mahdi" is said to be coming on Allah's behalf .. well .. since this little horn regards (acknowledges) no god, then HOW can the Muslims accept him as their Mahdi since he will never regard Allah nor any god? Find a way around that conundrum and then we can discuss the other problems with that interpretation to do with all the Muslim nations this king is going to overthrow when he comes in to doublecross Israel whom he makes a secret agreement with .. MANY Muslim countries (in the middle east) will be overthrown by this king .. that is .. militarily conquered .. MANY .. ALL Muslim nations at that !! ( do you honestly think that Israel makes an agreement with this Muslim empire to LET THEM come through their country with all their armies whilst on his way to conquer Egypt & co only to have other Muslim countries getting very angry over this attack on Israel?? .. it makes no real world sense at all) Nevertheless, isn't this coming "Mahdi" meant to be UNITING the Muslims and not conquering them by military force? You see .. problems are many if we say this king is a Muslim king / federation. THEN we'd need discuss the Muslim nations that rise up against this very same king near the very end, .. Iran and ALL the kingdoms of Ararat (Turkey) etc and all their ALLIES .. so already we see this so called Muslim federation severely thinned out, first the MANY Muslim nations this king conquers .. THEN all the Muslim nations that rise up against him near the end. So WHO is left to be in this so called Muslim federation? All scripture points to this man being a conqueror of Muslim nations, not a uniter. Another point .. the Assyrian is just another name for Satan & by extension, whomsoever is Satan's human vessel, in this case, the last days false prophet himself .. this title was given long time ago & has nothing to do with meaning this mans nationality .. it is a spiritual title God gave long time ago .. God even called the Assyrian (Satan in this case) as the one oppressing His people when they were in Egypt before exodus .. which of course we know NO human Assyrian or Assyrians could possibly have fulfilled this back then against the superpower of it's day in Egypt .. so you see, the "Assyrian" is in no way some clue as to this false prophets nationality .. but there is one clue .. that this man doesn't even regard the God of his fathers .. this is speaking of our God whom his fathers worshipped .. again, this too goes against him being of some Muslim federation. There are just too many scriptures against this confederation being anything other than north as in EUROPE & NOT Muslim. regards.

  14. Diaste I remember that conversation you had with Serving and he provided many scriptures with reasoning as to why the fourth Kingdom could not be a Muslim empire. Your defense did not hold any water. I also gave you scriptures which showed that the Fourth Kingdom, the same one as the beast rising out of the sea in Rev (the 7th head, with the 10 kings) could not be anyone else but THE WEST. Why? because the The Medes will stand up against the False Prophet's kingdom leading to the 3rd WWW. So according to your reasoning, the fourth kingdom with the 10 horns, which the little horn will spring up from is a Muslem empire, and this Muslem empire will go against a Muslem False Prophet creating a 3rd WWW? Where does that leave the power of the West? Do you think the West are so small and insignificant that they can be trampled on by 3rd world Nations? Who controls the money DIASTE? because he who controls the money, controls the power. Are you not aware that "THE WEST" even created all these Muslem factions? Are you not aware that the 10 kings from the WEST have set the stage to destroy nations using men for hire? You have not done your homework. So you see it doesn't matter how many views you have studied, you yourself are not looking to God for the answers. Your insults on Serving's other post was done in poor taste and revealed your pride. If you disagree, fair enough, but God does not give grace to the proud, and if there is no grace, then he will not give you wisdom to see truth. I think you owe him a great big apology for your conduct, and if you disagree with him fair enough, but to take it to the level you did was disgraceful.

  22. I have periodically read this topic and have read the last few so forgive me if I am repeating something that has been stated. In Luke 22 : 35-38 Jesus asks the apostles if they lacked anything when He sent them out. They replied no. He now tells them that if he who has money let him take it and likewise a knapsack, and he who has no sword to sell his garment and buy one. The apostles reply that they have 2 swords Jesus replies that it is enough. Now, yes we are to trust God in all things. But, do we not go and get a job to put food on the table.. the apostles found money in the mouth of a fish... we work.. or does God just say..he's hungry I'll drop food in his mouth. Depend on God for all our needs yes but where do our actions come in. We also need to protect ourselves.. lock doors, have alarms, bear arms if need be...if one calls 911 by the time police come it is too late for a child or wife or husband or any family in the home... if not a gun a baseball bat...too close for comfort, and it may be used on you. Patriot, I agree. God does help those who help themselves.

  24. If the words of a preacher contradict the words of Christ, then I would not listen to such a preacher. The words of Jesus: Matthew 22:32I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? He is not the God of the dead but of the living." John 12:26Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me. The words of Paul 2 Corinthians 5:8We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. Philippians 1:23I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; All who die in Christ are alive for God is the God of all who are in Christ, and He is not the God of the dead. All who are Christs are where Christ is. If Christ is in heaven, they who have died in Christ are also in heaven. All who are in Christ, when they die, and leave their body, are at home with the Lord. All who are in Christ, when they die and depart this earth, they are with Christ who is in heaven. This is the word of the Lord.

  26. When reasoning skills become this poor: because I do not wish to use carnal weapons against another I also shouldn't have locks on my door ... really this should be a shame for you to have even written this! if you ddont want to use carnal weapons against your brother is your choice, I'm not saying your wrong for not owning a weapon. Where I take issue is where you suggest my heart isn't right with God because I do. It is allowed, and just because I own one doesn't mean I lack faith. Nor does it mean I want to use one against another human being, I don't. There is a difference between want, and being willing to do so. I own multiple weapons. I fire hundreds of rounds through them every year. But they have not once, ever, even been remotely been pointed at another human being, nor do I plan to. But on the same note, I firmly believe God has allowed me these weapons for a reason, and self defense is allowed biblically. So please, if you don't want to carry or own a gun fine. But don't judge the faith of those who do, its nowhere near biblical, nor Christlike, to do so.

The second time that he sent them out he told them to take money and even an extra coat and that they should also take a sword with them. It seems to me that Jesus told them to arm themselves so they could have protection when they carry something worth stealing. I think we should follow suit and carry weapons today that would be a firearm. For me that would be handgun.

  28. If your faith is truly on God then there's no response for that piece of metal on your door. Now, in reality your right locking your door is common sense. It's a easy simple tool to help keep you safe. But that same logic can be applied to guns. You can say that if you don't own a gun that your testing God. Now, I'm not saying that I don't believe that to be true, I'm just pointing out how ridiculous your argument is. There is no scriptural argument against owning a firearm-period. At all. Zip. And using a firearm for self defense or defense of another is indeed biblical. In fact there's more scriptural evidence for owning a weapon-then a lock on your door. So if you don't want one, that's fine. I respect that. But don't question my faith because I do.

  29. no you didn't. Well, you did, you basically, said, in not so many words, that you would just turn a blind eye and allow that woman to be killed. Hmmm. Guess you love the murderer more then the victim. Thats what your actions would say. I guess if your conscience coudld live with that, so be it, but mine could not. You can't take one verse, and base your entire view on the subject off of it, the preservation of life, is a repeated theme throughout the Bible. As far as the argument about Jesus not freeing the slaves, let me bring up 2 very important points. One, ive already brought up but I guess it needs repeating, as no one here seems to want to actually read, Jesus DID NOT COME as a king, to fight earthly battles, Jesus came as a sacrificial lamb, He could not be that sacrificial lamb to save the world-if He was overthrowing empires. Second point, what DID Jesus do, if He came upon a situation where lives were at stake? like the woman found in adultery? wait for it, yes, He INTERVENED. He stepped in. He didn't use violence, but neither did He allow that woman to be killed. Lets bring up another example, Jesus, used a whip to physically chase the money changers out of the temple. Thats right, Jesus, used violence, to do what was right. He also, told His disciples to sell their lcoaks and buy real, physical, swords. Throws the entire "Jesus was a pacifist" argument right out the window, shows that whole theory for what it is-false, and entirely, unbiblical. And again, the NT speaks mainly, about the spiritual side of things-but when it comes to the aspect of our physical life on earth, including self defense, it does speak to that, but so does the old testament-which is still relevant today. If you ignore the Old Testament teachings, your are ignoring the very word of God, He made it clear multiple times in the NT (romans and timothy for starters) that the Old Testament is still to be used to define what is sin, what is NOT sin, and for teaching and sound doctrine, and the Old Testament lays it out in black and white when it is-and it is not ok, to use violence. Now, if you don't want to own a gun, thats fine. You don't have to. but not doing anything to protect your family, or an innocent person on the street, "in the name of Jesus" isn't Biblical, it isn't loving, and I dont want to come across as rude, but its nothing more then cowardice. And if your going to say that if your willing to use violence to protect your family that your hearts not right with God, well thats flat out judgemental, for one, and clearly, not Biblical, for second. You can't say that. You don't know where my hearts at, but I do know what the Bible says. The protection of my family is in God's hands Pat.My faith and trust in Him is 100% not in a gun.God's will be done in my families life and in mine.I pray everyday for God's protection over my family and myself. That is my gun.God gave me a brain.I keep my door and windows always secured the rest is in God's hands. You shouldn't. I mran, if Gods going to protect you then there's no reason at all to ever put a lock on your door. That's still man made way to protect ourselves and its not putting our faith in God. So, if using a gun is relying on ourselves, so is locking ones door. Another flaw with this whole thing is, what about the Christians whom God doesn't miraculously send an army of angels down to protect? Did they not have enough faith? Got news for you that's prosperity doctrine, and God doesn't work that way. From the beginning of time till now, God uses PEOPLE to do His work. When Israel needed saving from an oppressor, who did He send? A person. Wielding of all things, a weapon most of the time. God uses people to pprotect His own. And weapons. If you don't think you need a gun, then that's fine, but you can't make an argument that guns are evil and that you lack faith if you own one. Its not a biblically sound argument. I own a gun, does that mean I don't have faith? No. It just means that the good Lord has provided me with a tool that I can use to protect my family. Just like that lock on your door is s tool to protect yours.

He broke into pieces the bronze snake Moses had made, for up to that time the Israelites had been burning incense to it. (It was called Nehushtan.) 2 Kings 18:4 (NIT) ~ ~ The And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for there is no bread, neither is there any water; and our soul loatheth this light bread. This was to demonstrate His righteousness, because in the forbearance of God He passed over the sins previously committed; for the demonstration, I say, of His righteousness at the present time, so that He would be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 31. I think I was overly optimistic about my capabality to post things with an ipad, sorry. Point 3: we turned 6 billion in the wink of an eye, in evolutionary terms point 4: now we are adding things that might belong to the next level. After all, as long as we are 6 billions, and growing, I doubt evolution would care, even if it could. siegi

  32. Wow, I can navigate to the end of the post, now. Thanks George Yes, I had a great weekend studying the integration of pseudo-forms on not orientable surfaces and how it applies to the covariant formulation of Maxwell theory; what could be more fascinating ? Point 1: it is true that the naturalistic explanation has no sufficient evidence to be granted. I am not sure that the not naturalistic one has more evidence, thought :). I am interested in the necessity of a position. If there are alternatives that have the same evidentiary support, then such necessity fails, at least for what is known today. This is valid for both, klar. Point 2: survival is not important in nature, since we all die eventually. What is important (in a sort of ateological way) is reproduction. I suspect that things like voyerism might interfere with that, like all sexually related things we consider immoral. Point 3:

  39. Diaste, Seeing that I have suffered an unprovoked & non specified personal attack at your hands lately, let me defend myself starting here .. and let us see who's really not "seeing the forest past the tree" shall we. Besides me already acknowledging the MIRACLES .. there is also this you are obviously neglecting : Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Which was related to this : Those horns are LEADERS .. this man comes up amongst them .. this means he is one of them too, that is, amongst that same PROFESSION .. comprendo? Nevertheless, God tells us over & over, "marvellous words", "great words" etc .. it is obvious that these words that wicked one speaks are the MOST important focus, obviously you're not as familiar with this subject as you should be, come, look past your little tree and behold the real forest : Daniel 7:8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things. Daniel 7:11 I beheld then because of the voice of the great words which the horn spake: I beheld even till the beast was slain, and his body destroyed, and given to the burning flame. Daniel 7:20 And of the ten horns that were in his head, and of the other which came up, and before whom three fell; even of that horn that had eyes, and a mouth that spake very great things, whose look was more stout than his fellows. Daniel 7:25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. Daniel 11:36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. It seems scripture disagrees with you. So you think .. Acumen .. keen insight; shrewdness : remarkable acumen in business matters. keen insight (even of that horn that had eyes) eyes represent the spiritual .. this man has a very keen Satanically sourced spiritual insight (in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man) materially focussed at that. shrewdness Daniel 7:24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings business matters Daniel 8:25 And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand. LEADERS have POLICIES .. so he is political too. Again, you are way off the mark and conflict with the scriptures themselves. Do not fall victim to that "wind that blows through trees that wilted with the seasons children" .. concentrate on the Lord instead. Wrong again .. Daniel 8:12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. Revelation 19 19 And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20 And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. Daniel 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. Daniel 8:24 And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. Wrong again .. Daniel 11:38 But in his estate shall he honour the God of forces: and a god whom his fathers knew not shall he honour with gold, and silver, and with precious stones, and pleasant things. ONLY correct after taking into account the above corrections to your errors. Wrong again .. this is GODS PLAN .. as for your musing : "attempts" .. no sorry, wrong again, God WILL have this happen without any doubt whatsoever. Satan is God's axe .. go learn what this means so you may better understand the real plan and perhaps you will begin to glimpse the forest in all her splendour. A total lack of understanding God's metaphors here. it was "one of the beasts" 7 heads that was wounded .. the HEADS are the EMPIRES, the HORNS are the KINGS .. your private interpretation is way off. Your mainstream speculation is as erroneous as the secularly taught ones who proposed it in the first place. Starting to see the other trees yet? Wrong again .. the beast being mentioned is the beast empire .. "who can wage war" against that beast .. you are making beginners mistakes. Er .. what? How on earth did you come up with that error? Don't you realise that by simply worshipping the false prophet & the beast, then automatically they worship Satan too .. where does it say in the scriptures that the world can see that the Dragon himself has empowered this beast? That is ludicrous on so many levels you obviously haven't even entertained as of yet, that I won't even bother elaborating. In conclusion, your private interpretation is way off and needs much work on your behalf to straighten out all the errors. Only when you personally understand the whole subject for yourself, as I do, will you see where you have gone terribly wrong, and only then can you attempt to correct the ones who do understand .. It is obvious, by the many errors, that there is a great deal of catching up to do yet. Serving.

  40. Bravo to the OP for being an apologist. I once was one and was severely burned out for years as the result of going it alone. If you haven't already got it, get a support group of believers who help you with your needs (including and especially prayer). The enemies from hell are aimed specifically at you and those like you who give them answers they can't question and questions they can't answer. I have no doubt in my mind that God can simply turn out the lights everywhere whenever he wants to. Just like he could have spoken the universe into existence with a single word. But Genesis chapters 1 and 2 speak of how he chose to go about creating all things created. At times in his Earthly walk he spoke and people were raised from the dead. At times he smeared mud on blind eyes and told them to wash in a specific pool to be healed. There was no method to his miracles (eye-blinking, nose-twitching, arm waving, or spoken mantras). It was sheer divine will. According to an interesting theory (the orbital resonance hypothesis) a close encounter with planet Mars could have triggered the Noachian deluge by collapsing Earth's former vapor canopy and cracking the Earth's crust (bringing water from below and above). Does this de-miraclize God's bringing the flood to judge the antediluvian world? No. In fact, the timing of it speaks of the omniscience of the Creator who set in motion the events long before the time came. Also possible in the case of the OP that a gas cloud or dust cloud in space could have passed between the sun and earth for an instant on the cosmological time scale. Would that relegate the occurrence to when Jesus was on the cross as a mere coincidence / happenstance? No! It speaks again of the omniscience of the Creator who set the events of that three hour period into motion from the time he created the cosmic cloud to its pin point position at that precise moment.

  41. Slavery is a state of mind. Slaves can be free while enslaved. Freemen can be slaves while apparently free. Paul was not addressing slavery per se in Philemon but the relationship of believers to each other. Within the Body of Christ there is neither bond nor free. At the same time all believers are the "purchased possession" of Christ who has purchased us from the slave market of sin. We should consider the various forms of slavery to which people are bound today, particularly theirs sins, addictions, obsessions, and their fallacies. As indicated above If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed. John 8:36 True freedom comes from becoming a "bond slave" of Christ.

  42. Good point. Christians need to be aware that during the Antichrist's future, literal 3.5-year worldwide reign (Revelation 13:4-18), even though the world will consciously and openly worship Lucifer (the dragon, Satan) and the Antichrist (the individual-man aspect of the beast) (Revelation 13:4-8, Revelation 12:9), this won't require that the Antichrist's one-world religion will say that Jesus is evil, or will turn the world against Jesus. For almost the entire world reveres Jesus, at least as being a good man. The Antichrist could confirm this basic world belief, but simply (in his words) "clarify" that while Jesus is indeed a good man, he isn't the Christ or the Son of God (1 John 2:22). No doubt the Antichrist will also deny that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins, as this, just as believing that he is the Christ and the Son of God (John 20:31, John 3:36), is one of the core beliefs of the gospel by which people become saved (1 Corinthians 15:1-4). So what the Antichrist could do is keep the idea of a good Jesus, but strip it of everything by which Jesus saves people from hell. And this wouldn't require that the Antichrist deny Jesus' 2nd coming. Indeed, the Antichrist and his False Prophet (Revelation 19:20) could even try to employ to their own ends the Biblical prophecy of Jesus' 2nd coming, as well as the Muslim prophecy which says that the miracle-working prophet Jesus will return bodily from heaven in the last days to bring the whole earth into the worship of the true God. For the False Prophet could claim that he is Jesus returned. And he could perform amazing miracles (Revelation 13:13) as purported proof of his claim (cf. John 3:2). This is one reason why it is important to know when and how the real Jesus' 2nd coming will happen (Matthew 24:29-31; 2 Thessalonians 2:1-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17, Revelation 19:7 to 20:6, Zechariah 14:3-21). Once the False Prophet by his amazing miracles has brought the world under his spell (Revelation 13:13-18, Revelation 19:20), including many Muslims and Christians who may not care much for scriptural dogma, but could go wild over his signs and wonders, he could begin to (in his words) "restore to the world the real message which was spoken by me (Jesus) at my first coming, and by the great prophet Mohammed, but which message became corrupted by power-hungry men when they copied and changed the early manuscripts of the Bible and the Koran". He could then gradually initiate the world into the Antichrist's Gnostic Luciferianism (1 John 4:3, Revelation 13:4-6), a religion which could have existed since ancient times in some "mystery" cults, and which still exists today in the highest degree of initiation of a worldwide secret society. The False Prophet could present his miraculously calling fire down from heaven (Revelation 13:13) as purported proof that Lucifer (the dragon, Satan) and the Antichrist are the true God (Revelation 13:4-8, Revelation 12:9), in an inversion of how back in Old Testament times, Elijah miraculously called fire down from heaven to prove that YHWH is the true God (1 Kings 18:37-39). The person whom the Antichrist will revile is YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36), whom many people mistakenly think of as being (in their words) "the God of only the Old Testament, that cruel and hateful God who commanded people to commit genocide and kill babies (1 Samuel 15:3), whereas Jesus came and preached love for everyone (Matthew 5:44)". The truth is that Jesus confirmed that the God of the Old Testament, YHWH (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Leviticus 19:18), is the same as the God of the New Testament (Mark 12:29-31), and that the Old Testament is true (Matthew 5:17-18, Luke 24:44-48). Jesus died for our sins in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy from YHWH (Isaiah 53; 1 Peter 2:24). And he rose from the dead in fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy from YHWH (e.g. Psalms 16:10, Acts 2:31). Jesus died to establish the New Covenant (Matthew 26:28), which YHWH had foretold in the Old Testament (Jeremiah 31:31-34). And Jesus died to bring about the defeat of Satan (Hebrews 2:14), which YHWH had foretold from even the first book of the Old Testament (Genesis 3:15). Nonetheless, building on many people's misconceptions of YHWH as being (in their words) "the cruel God of the Old Testament", no doubt one of the Antichrist's chief blasphemies against YHWH (Revelation 13:6, Daniel 11:36) will be that YHWH is an evil god. This is one of the ancient blasphemies of Gnosticism, another being the antichrist lie that Christ isn't in the flesh (2 John 1:7). The world will be deceived into completely rejecting YHWH, and worshipping Satan and the Antichrist instead (Revelation 13:4-8, Revelation 12:9). Satan may be worshipped not as "Satan", which most everyone sees as a bad name (it means "Adversary"), but as "Lucifer" (Isaiah 14:12), which means "the morning star". The Antichrist could falsely say that it is YHWH who is the true "Satan", the true "Adversary" of mankind. Because the Antichrist and his False Prophet (possibly masquerading as Jesus) will deny that Jesus is the Christ (1 John 2:22), and will deny that Christ is in the flesh (1 John 4:3), and because they will bring the unsaved world into the worship of Lucifer (the dragon, Satan) instead (Revelation 13:4, Revelation 12:9), they could falsely say that (the non-mortal flesh) Lucifer is the Christ, that the new name of Christ (Revelation 3:12c) is "Lucifer Christ". For just as "Lucifer" means "the morning star", so Christ is the morning star (Revelation 22:16b). Also, Christ identified himself with the serpent (John 3:14), and Lucifer is the serpent (Revelation 12:9). Also, Christ said "Ye are gods" (John 10:34), and it was the serpent who said "ye shall be as gods" (Genesis 3:5). But the truth is that Lucifer fell from his office of morning star (Isaiah 14:12) and became Satan (cf. Luke 10:18). Jesus Christ has taken over the office of morning star (Revelation 22:16). And Jesus Christ identified himself with only the brass serpent on the pole in Numbers 21:8-9 (John 3:14), which typified Jesus Christ's crucifixion for our sins (John 19:16, Matthew 26:28). And in John 10:34, Jesus Christ (John 20:31) was quoting YHWH in Psalms 82:6-7, which shows that even though humans have knowledge of good and evil as gods do (Genesis 3:22), they will still die like humans (Psalms 82:7), contradicting the serpent's lie (Genesis 3:4). Nonetheless, the Antichrist could falsely say that Lucifer is the Christ and the true and beneficent God of mankind, and that the False Prophet is the miracle-working prophet Jesus (cf. John 3:2, Acts 3:22-24), returned to point the world to the true Christ/God. The Antichrist could falsely say he (the Antichrist) is the human/divine "Son" of Lucifer, who must be worshipped as God along with Lucifer (Revelation 13:4,8). This would be similar to how Biblical Christians rightly worship the human/divine Jesus Christ (John 1:1,14) as YHWH God (the Son) along with YHWH God the Father (John 20:28, Hebrews 1:8). Near the end of the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24, unclean spirits like frogs will come out of the mouths of Lucifer, the Antichrist, and the False Prophet (Revelation 16:13). And these unclean spirits like frogs will go forth and perform amazing miracles to convince the world's armies to gather together at Armageddon (Har Megiddo: Mount Megiddo in northern Israel) (Revelation 16:16) in an attempt to fight and defeat YHWH himself (Revelation 16:14, Revelation 19:19). After gathering together at Armageddon, the armies will travel south and pillage Jerusalem, right before the real Jesus (who is YHWH: John 10:30) returns from heaven and defeats them completely (Zechariah 14:2-21, Revelation 19:20 to 20:3). -- Note that the Antichrist may not appear on the world stage until after the horrible, future, tribulation-starting war of Revelation 6:4-8 and Daniel 11:15-17 has resulted in the total defeat and occupation of Israel, and Egypt, and the death of 1/4 of the world. It could be this war which will help open the way for the Antichrist to arise on the world stage as a great man of peace and antitypically fulfill the "vile" person of Daniel 11:21-45. One way this war could happen is the U.S. could undertake a massive buildup of the Iraqi Army, initially to prevent the Islamic State militant group (also known as ISIS, or ISIL) from taking over Iraq, and Syria, and all the rest of the Middle East, and eventually so that the Iraqi Army can serve as a proxy army, for the U.S. and Israel, for an all-out ground invasion of Iran, in order to end Iran's nuclear weapons program and extremist regime. As part of the buildup of the Iraqi Army, the U.S. could reinstall much of the former Iraqi Baathist military hierarchy (i.e. that which existed under Baathist Saddam Hussein), to run the present Iraqi Army more efficiently and ruthlessly. And if the current, Shiite-dominated government of Iraq balks at any return of a Baathist-dominated military (which cruelly suppressed the Iraqi Shiites under Saddam Hussein's rule), or balks at any invasion of fellow-Shiite Iran, this could lead the CIA, MI6, and the Mossad to bring about a Baathist coup d'etat in Iraq. For they could see a well-run, Baathist Iraqi Army and government as the only way to keep ISIS/ISIL under control, and the only way to eventually invade and defeat Iran, which invasion the Iraqi Baathists could agree to perform, for they see meddling, non-Arab Iran as a great enemy of Arab autonomy. To help get the Iraqi masses and the world behind the idea of an all-out Iraqi invasion of Iran, "false flag" operations could be managed by the CIA, MI6, and the Mossad by which it will be made to seem that (non-Arab, Persian) Iran is attacking the Iraqi Sunni Arabs and their little children terroristically with "dirty bombs" made from Iranian-enriched uranium, so that the Iraqi Arab masses will become enraged and begin to call for all-out retaliation against (what they could call) "the vile Persians". And the world could see an Iraqi invasion of Iran as being completely justified by self-defense. But then, right when Iraq is all ready to invade Iran, the ultra-Orthodox Jews in Israel (who by that time could be led by a great miracle-working false Messiah: cf. Matthew 24:24) could completely destroy the Muslim Dome of the Rock and the Al Aqsa Mosque (the 3rd-holiest sites in Islam) on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, to clear the site for the building of a 3rd Jewish temple (Revelation 11:1-2, Matthew 24:15, Daniel 11:31,36; 2 Thessalonians 2:4). This could so enrage Muslims worldwide, including the (Muslim) Iraqi Army, that the Iraqi Baathist Generals could see it as a perfect excuse to abandon the plan to invade huge Iran, and instead (pretending that they are doing so in the name of Islam) turn and send their vast army against the little territory of Israel, completely defeating and occupying it (Daniel 11:15-17; in verse 17, the original Hebrew word translated as "daughter" is "bath"). But this wouldn't be the ultimate reason for the Baathist attack, which could continue on south to also defeat and occupy Egypt (Daniel 11:15). For Egypt is ruled by the U.S.-supported Egyptian Army, which the Baathists could see as being a puppet of the U.S., just as they could see Israel as being a colony of the U.S. Baathism's ultimate aim is to unite all Arab lands from Oman to Morocco into one massive, powerful United Arab States free of all foreign hegemony. The all-out Iraqi attack on Israel could be joined by the entire (Baathist) Syrian Army (with all of its missiles, many still secretly tipped with nerve agents), as well as by all of Iran's long-range missiles and all of Hezbollah's and Hamas' missiles and guerrillas. Israel could find itself suddenly attacked from 3 directions at the same time, with tens of thousands of missiles raining down on its cities and military bases, and tens of thousands of Iraqi tanks (meant to defeat and occupy huge Iran) pouring across its borders. As Israel starts to see its little sliver of land completely overrun, and sees that its total defeat and occupation is imminent and assured, in retaliation it could drop nuclear bombs on Baghdad, Damascus (Isaiah 17:1), Tehran, and other major cities of Iraq, Syria, and Iran. There could be so many nuclear explosions sending so much radioactive dust and ash so high into the atmosphere that it could be blown eastward and fall on hugely-populated South Asia, ruining so many crop fields and immune systems there with radiation that 1/4 of the world's population could end up dying from the war and its aftermath of famines and epidemics. This could fulfill the horrible war which will begin the future tribulation of Revelation chapters 6 to 18 and Matthew 24, which war will, with its aftermath of famines and epidemics, end up killing 1/4 of the world (Revelation 6:4-8). The "great sword" of this war (Revelation 6:4) could be Israel's nuclear weapons. This war could be blamed not only on the religious fundamentalism of Islam and Judaism, but also on religious fundamentalism in general, and so could lead to a worldwide crusade against all forms of religious fundamentalism, including Christian fundamentalism, i.e. the (correct) idea that the Bible is wholly true (2 Timothy 3:16, Matthew 4:4) and that all other religions are cursed (Galatians 1:8-9, John 14:6, John 3:36, Acts 4:12). After an Iraqi Baathist General who could lead the defeat and occupation of Israel and Egypt mysteriously disappears from the scene (Daniel 11:19), the Antichrist, who could be an Arab, could arise peacefully out of Lebanon (from the modern city of Tyre: Ezekiel 28:2; cf. 2 Thessalonians 2:4), and he could take up the mantle of Baathism and vow to (in his words) "complete the great work of Arab liberation and unification". The first thing the Antichrist could do once he is given control (Daniel 11:21) of a Baathist federation of Iraq, Syria, Egypt, and a "United Palestine" (i.e. a defeated and occupied Israel), is to perform a small and localized attack against an army of ultra-Orthodox Jews holed up in the walled Old City of Jerusalem and led by an ultra-Orthodox Jewish false Messiah (Daniel 9:26a, Daniel 11:22). These ultra-Orthodox Jews could have managed to hold off the first Baathist attack even as it overran the rest of Israel, because the walled Old City of Jerusalem is considered holy to the Muslims, and so it is not to be bombarded or destroyed. The Antichrist could manage in some way to take the Old City without doing it much harm (such as by incapacitating its Jewish defenders with huge clouds of tear gas while tens of thousands of Arab soldiers wearing gas masks take control of the city by climbing over its walls on thousands of tall ladders). But then, instead of imprisoning or executing all the ultra-Orthodox Jews and their false Messiah, the Antichrist will do an amazing thing. He will "cut" a peace treaty with them and their false Messiah (Daniel 9:26a, Daniel 11:23), permitting them to keep a 3rd Jewish temple (Revelation 11:1) which they will have built on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem, and to keep control of the Old City, for at least 7 more years (Daniel 9:27a), so long as they give up the outer court of the temple (Revelation 11:2a) to the Muslims so that the Muslims can rebuild the Al Aqsa Mosque on the southern end of the Temple Mount and resume worship there. By this peace treaty, the Antichrist could present himself to the world as (in his words): "A reasonable man, a man of peace. I am no Hitler. I do not desire a second Holocaust. I am willing to give the religious Jews in the Old City seven years to show that they are willing to live peacefully with others, that they are different than the Zionist Jews who have just destroyed the world with their nuclear weapons". And if the Antichrist gets flak from his fellow Baathists for letting the ultra-Orthodox Jews keep the Old City of Jerusalem, he could explain to them privately that (in his words) "It is all a temporary ruse, meant to keep world opinion off guard while we consolidate our position". The Baathists could consolidate their position by becoming so well dug-in, and so well-equipped and -advised militarily by the Russians (in the name of "Arab self-determination"), that a U.S. counter-attack to "restore" (i.e. to take back) Israel and Egypt could fail, and leave the Baathists in control, and in a position to extend their power over all the rest of the Arab nations. For if the Baathists defeat and occupy Israel, they will be hailed by the Arab masses across the Arab world as magnificent heroes, so that the Baathists could have no problem persuading the Arab masses to support them. And the Baathists could justify their defeat of the Egyptian military regime, and then their subsequent defeat of other regimes such as in Jordan, by railing against them as being (what they could call): "These vile cronies of the Americans. These cronies pretended to be for the Arab people while in fact they were taking American bribes in the billions, completely selling out our Palestinian brothers to the endless cruelties of the Zionist occupation, and keeping you, the great majority of the Arab people, in poverty. These cronies, like the Zionists themselves, were the American bulwarks against our glorious Arab unification and return to world power. Join now with us, the Baathists, that we might bring about the long-awaited Arab Renaissance, the long-awaited Arab Resurrection [the Arab word 'Baath' can mean 'Renaissance' and 'Resurrection'], that we Arabs might all rise up together and unite, from Oman to Morocco, into one great United Arab States, one great Arab Empire, shaking off completely all the shackles of the West, placed upon us so long ago, and return to our former glory as we had during the Middle Ages, when we were free and far superior to the West". The Baathists could also rail against the kings and sheikhs of the Arab Gulf States for (in their words) "Hoarding the huge oil wealth given by Allah to all the Arabs, and keeping the Arab masses in poverty and subjugation to Western interests". The Baathists are socialist, and so could call for the distribution of the Arab oil wealth to the Arab masses (Daniel 11:24). In this way, and by their defeat and occupation of Israel, the Baathists could easily turn the masses to their side in every Arab nation. During the first few years of the 7-year peace treaty referred to earlier, the Antichrist could employ Baathism as the means by which he will gradually and peacefully put together a United Arab States, or Arab Union, stretching from Oman to Morocco. Once he has accomplished this, he could then begin to downplay Baathism and start speaking of "World peace and the unity of mankind". He could convince an oil-thirsty European Union to let the oil-rich Arab Union join it, thereby forming a massive Mediterranean Union, which he could manage to peacefully gain control of and use as his base of power to eventually exert his hegemony over the entire earth (Revelation 13:7b). Then, only some 3.5 years after making the peace treaty, the Antichrist will break it, attack the 3rd Jewish temple in Jerusalem, stop the daily Mosaic animal sacrifices offered in front of it, and sit (at least one time) in the temple and proclaim himself God (Daniel 11:31,36, Matthew 24:15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4). He will then rule the whole earth by the power of Lucifer (Satan, the dragon: Revelation 12:9) for 3.5 literal years (Revelation 13:4-18, Daniel 7:25, Daniel 12:7, Revelation 12:14), or 1,260 literal days (Revelation 12:6). The return of Jesus Christ from heaven (Matthew 24:30, Revelation 19:11-21; 1 Thessalonians 4:16) may not occur immediately after the 1,260 days of the Antichrist's worldwide reign, but could occur 75 days later, on the 1,335th day after the Antichrist and his followers set up the abomination of desolation (possibly a standing, android image of the Antichrist) in the holy place (the inner sanctum) of the 3rd Jewish temple (Daniel 12:11-12, Daniel 11:31, Matthew 24:15). The 75 days could be taken up by the vials of God's wrath which will be poured out on the Antichrist's worshippers (Revelation 16). When Jesus returns, he will completely defeat the Antichrist (the individual-man aspect of the beast) (Revelation 19:20; 2 Thessalonians 2:8-9), and he will have Satan bound in the bottomless pit (Revelation 20:1-3). Then the returned Jesus and the physically resurrected church (including those in the church who will have been beheaded by the Antichrist) will reign physically on the earth for 1,000 years (Revelation 20:4-6, Revelation 5:10, Revelation 2:26-29, Psalms 66:3-4, Psalms 72:8-11, Zechariah 14:8-21).
