  1. You said "a box for a cross." Jesus died on the cross, but didn't stay dead in a "box" (i.e. a tomb/grave); He rose again to life so that we may truly have life now and forever.

  2. I totally agree ~~~~~~~~--- and surprisingly enough---- initially Jesus will save us and the Holy Spirit will indwell us even if we do not love Jesus-- there is no good thing in us-- how can we love Jesus unless the Holy Spirit indwells us--it wont indwell us until we believe the Gospel. Loving him is not a condition to be saved because we can not love him UNTIL we are saved~~~~~Then the Holy Spirit will indwell us and we will be able to love him

  3. All it take for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit is faith in Jesus Christ as your Savior. Nothing else.

  4. John 14:15-23, NLT 15 “If you love me, obey my commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. 17 He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you. 18 No, I will not abandon you as orphans — I will come to you (as the Holy Spirit). 19 Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live. 20 When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. 21 Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.” 22 Judas (not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him, “Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?” 23 Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them. 24 Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me.” The above passage teaches us all of the following truths … • 2 wonderful blessings are available to you (v.16) the Holy Spirit to be given to you the Holy Spirit to never leave you • 2 conditions for the Father to give you the blessings above (v.15) loving Jesus obeying Jesus’ commandments The KEY to the whole passage is the very first verse (v.15). • 3 conditions for Jesus loving you and revealing Himself to you (v.21) accepting Jesus’ commandments obeying Jesus’ commandments loving Jesus • 2 conditions for the Father to love you (v.21, v.23) loving Jesus doing what Jesus says • 1 condition for doing what Jesus says (v.23) loving Jesus • 2 conditions for the Trinity to live inside of you (v.23) loving Jesus doing what Jesus says I've been saying for years: "If you have One, you have all Three." John 15:10, NLT 10 “When you obey my commandments, you remain in my love, just as I obey my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.” If you do not obey Jesus’ commandments, you do not remain in Jesus’ love. If you do not remain in Jesus’ love, does the Holy Spirit remain in you? If you do not obey Jesus’ commandments, does the Holy Spirit remain in you? Those who know and love Jesus obey His commandments … 1 John 2:3-5, NLT 3 And we can be sure that we know him if we obey his commandments. 4 If someone claims, “I know God,” but doesn’t obey God’s commandments, that person is a liar and is not living in the truth. 5 But those who obey God’s word truly show how completely they love him. That is how we know we are living in him.

  9. Blessings fantasymay Welcome to Worthy......The one thing that stands out most of all to me is that you said you are looking for LOVE,apparantly for some reason you have been lead here to us & I thank God for that because I can tell you that if you are earnestly looking for love then you are in the r6ight place for starters, you are loved. I don't even know you but Jesus in me loves you,I love you .....it breaks my heart top hear someone that has that void that you have & only Jesus can Fill it.....listening to Gods Word half heartedly from 7:30 to 8pm is not earnestly seeking Gods Face, not that I can tell.......have you ever read the Word of God for yourself? If you would open the Bible to the New Testament, the Book of John & ask God to Reveal Himself you will find out how truly special YOU are to Him & how much He does Love YOU...............BUT,ya have to mean it,He knows your heart better than you do yourself............. 10. OK I have to ask myself fantasymay, are you here to learn? I hope so because we do have so much to share. I joined Worthy back in 2004 and have gotten so much out of this wonderful ministry. It, and it's people got me through a very dark time after I lost my husband of 25 years in 08. Worthy is here to preach the Gospel and to point new people who do not know Jesus to the foot of the cross, because that is where you will find your answers. Please know we love you, and our only desire for you is to find Christ, and know that you will be with Him and us for eternity. Blessings, RustyAngeL

  12. God has empowered us! We are anointed for action! Our mission and mandate? Establishing the Kingdom! We are chosen by Him and for Him! "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10 AFFIRMATIONS: I have a God-given purpose! I was chosen by Almighty God in eternity past to live in the present. I have a divine DESTINY. NO one on earth can accomplish what I have been commissioned to do! It's time to get God's opinion of you; you're essential to His eternal plans and purposes -- so become the bold, brave, radiant warrior you are called to be. Arise, lift your head -- walk with confidence and assurance that God is with you. Therefore be radiant and shine bright in this sin-darkened world. We have a PURPOSE -- we have been chosen by God. ACCOMPLISHING THE COURSE SET BEFORE US You are divinely prepared to accomplish the task God has assigned you. You can do something no other human being can do. Meditate and ponder this message; believe that you have been chosen by Christ, for Christ, and your life will take on even greater zeal and purpose. Jesus said: "You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you." - (John 15:16). Your confidence and courage will soar as you understand in greater capacity the depth of these words -- "YOU ARE CHOSEN BY CHRIST!" Let these words wash over your soul – they are like refreshing water to the thirsty. You have been chosen by Christ, for Christ; the choice was made before the foundation of the world (see Ephesians 1:4). Knowing this promise will release you from rejection and depression. You Can Impact the others -- the hurting and the Lost. The goal is to finish the course and to be able to say with all confidence, "I've kept the faith and stayed on course, accomplishing the task set before me" (see 2 Timothy 4:7). It is to that individual Christ will say, "Well done, good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:21). INTO ACTION: God gives us His power for a purpose: the gifts are tools, not toys, and anointing is for action (see Acts 1:8). God releases His anointing on His children for one main purpose: to impact the nations, to bring the hurting and lost to Himself. During these days of division and confusion, the message of Christ's redemptive love and overwhelming mercy must be heard and heeded. ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY

  28. I don't get into debates with atheists. Especially online. It seems that they always through out the same old arguments, the same scriptures taken out of context, the same old accusations. It is exactly what Christ meant when he said not to throw pearls before swine. Once I realize that the person isn't interested in learning about Christ and being born again, but only interested in attacking my faith and GOD, I just walk away.

  29. Debate is futile. But one needs to show atheists that their belief is irrational. Every creation requires a creator. There is nothing humanly or divinely created that just happened to create itself.

  30. But I no longer get into the "Prove To Me God Is Real" debate. As I think it is pointless. If anyone wants to know I will simply share the experiences I have had with God. If they want to believe me that is fine. If not, so be it.

  33. Jesus' actions took place a long time ago. He, being a perfect, holy, mighty God, chose to become a man, live and work in this broken world, being scoffed at, ridiculed, abused and rejected, and finally executed in the most torturous method conceived at the time, in order to provide salvation to wholly unworthy people, people who have lived their lives ignoring and rejecting him.

  34. *Hour* is frequently used as a metaphor. Not necessarily of "an age of the earth" but by a considerable lag between events, or extending over several years. SEVERAL HOURS (the Passion of Christ) Then they sought to take him: but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come. (John 7:30) These words spake Jesus in the treasury, as he taught in the temple: and no man laid hands on him; for his hour was not yet come. (John 8:20) And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified...Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour. (John 12:23,27) SEVERAL YEARS (TribuLation and Great Tribulation) Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. (Rev 3:10). Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters. (Rev 14:7).

  40. This certainly does help tremendously ... for receiving this special baptism of anointing. However, often Jesus gives this baptism for a special ministry that He has for a person, and the complete surrender part is dealt with later (that's the Holy Spirit's job). The "special ministry" may even be something as seemingly-insignificant as being a closeted prayer warrior or intercessor.

  43. That's correct. If it depended on the degree of devotion and obedience, the situation would fluctuate like the temperature in some locations -- almost hourly. Misunderstandings about this important matter are generally because of an incorrect understanding of salvation.

  44. Blessings... It is that simple Brother & Sister but Zachs question is very complex, perhaps because he equates the Indwelling with having access to the Power in Whom we are Indwelled by,Holy Spirit........Yes,by Faith in the knowledge of WHO Jesus is,accepting Him by FAITH....we are Saved by the Grace of God and Jesus comes to live in us,His Holy Spirit,we are "Indwelled"......it is that simple! Zach is talking about walking in Spirit & in Truth,by the Power of the Holy Spirit....I know Saved,Born Again Christians who are certainly Indwelled & yet they have not completely surrendered their flesh with is the biggest hindrance to walking in Spirit,Faith indeed without works is dead..........yet,"IF" we LOVE HIM......then submission is not very difficult.......not everyone can even hear Gods Still Small Voice beckoning to them from within themselves, they are not forsaking something in the heart ....I thinbk Zachs OP is a loaded question......it can confuse many people into believing it is something they must do(works) to Receive Jesus Indweling when the Baptism of the Holy Spirit comes with complete surrender to Jesus Lordship......when you are on your Knees asking"I need you Jesus, forgive me & be my Lord & Savior"......even the demons "believe" but FAITH is alive with Love in the earnest heart With love-in Christ,Kwik

  45. Blessings Zach I have shared many times that for me personally, the one WORD that stands out to me in the entire Bible is "IF",,,,,your very first quote of that single verse of Scripture is the most important thing that Jesus asks us,,,,,"IF" you LOVE ME......& IF indeed,we do.....that is all it takes FOR....forgiveness,repentance,acceptance,renewal,re-birth,& the INDWELLING.,obedience.......Gods Grace.....IF,you love HIM Love,Kwik

  46. As a pastor, I run into this quite a bit. I'm reminded of the words Jesus gave to the church in Ephesus. Rev 2:3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. Rev 2:4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Rev 2:5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Many of the reasons why we lose our love is that we've allowed bitterness, unforgiveness, resentment, fear, and all the deadly D's to overwhelm us. The Deadly D's as I call them, Dispair, Discouragement, Disillusionment, Disgust, Depression, which finally leads to Death. To return back to your joy -- you need to go back to the basics of the faith. Just start praying, fasting, reading the Word! Ask the Lord to search you deeply, and thoroughly -- pray for and EXPECT God to bring revival within yourself! There's obviously more to this ... but this is a start! Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George
