  1. Hi I'm David,Earlier this week my girlfriend of 2+ years asked to talk to me and called it quits. I don't know how to feel right now cause our relationship was/is great. Our compatibility up there on top of the chart, we have fun, love each other and individually our relationship with God is on the right track. We rarely fight or argue but during the two year span, we've had or rather she would ask to talk once every few months about our relationship. I'm the type of person who does a lot of things alone (qt/praying/many other things) and don't speak much, the quiet type. So during those talks she was not happy and upset that as two people who are in a serious relationship and both who are thinking about the future towards marriage we don't talk about our faith and lack communication in that area. She's been wanting to do marriage counseling from our church leaders and pastor, not in the tradition sense but so that we can communicate and share more openly about our faith. At first I didn't want to but evenly our young adults pastor felt compelled cause he saw us and knew that we felt serious and strongly about this relationship so he asked to marriage counseling before we even said anything to anyone. The most important thing that she values from her partner is where his faith is, how spiritual he is and how well he is in tune with God. I knew this from the start and I was confident enough to start this relationship with her so that both of us can grow stronger and more intimate with God. When she mentioned these things I would just always say "hey I'll do better, I'll communicate better and share more that's on my mine" to assure her that it will change. This same "let's talk" would arise once every couple/few months not because I wasn't sharing at all or just not owning up to my word but because it seemed like the bare minimum to her and because I'm not giving it a 100%. Don't get me wrong, I was doing more. Each time we talk there were little improvements but looking back now I can't say that I did give a 100% when I should have. I thought what I was doing and how I was approaching the situation was enough. Two years she waited and was patient with me, I understand how frustrating that can be. But I'm someone who never shares unless I'm force to, even in group settings, whether it's in small groups at church, I'm just not very good at sharing and don't prefer sharing my thoughts. So I was a little upset that she didn't take the small changes in my with that in mind. Then another one of these "let's talk" came about and she said let's talk in a week (since i was away from her half the time and she wanted give me some time to think and pray as well). Initially, you know waiting a week to tackle the problem seemed ridiculous and unfair to me because I was curious what she wanted to talk about this time cause things were going well (in my mind). During the "wait week", when texting each other she just didn't seem like herself (mind that we spoke and kept in touch 24/7 and just text whenever even if we had absolutely nothing to talk about), she just seemed like a shell of herself. So half the "wait week" we did talk but I knew something was wrong cause she's never been like this to the point where she couldn't even talk to normally, it just seemed like she was forcing herself to talk to me. So me going crazy wanted to know what was going on through text/phone but she insisted that we just talk in person when I'm back and when we're both free to talk in person. Which leads back to earlier this week when she wanted to part ways. I had time to pray and think about our relationship and through praying I was convinced that our source was the foundation on which we built/start this relationship. We both wanted to build a relationship centered around God yet we lost track of that and became caught up in the worldly/culture aspect in the relationship. So during during the other times when I said "hey things will get better cause I'll try harder to express myself and show my faith more," I wasn't lying but just taking the wrong approach and just tried to build on the wrong foundation. So on the day of the talk she just said that she's just tired and is drained of this relationship because the one thing (level of faith and the spiritual aspect) she needs she doesn't really see and change and tells me that she can't really see herself with me as a potential spouse. Of course I was devastated cause I was a point where I could really see myself with this person and to ask her to be my life partner was right here/there (I was looking at rings/houses and ready to speak to her parents' permission for marriage). I explained to her that during the "wait week" where I prayed and really thought about our relationship I believed that our foundation was the problem and she explains that yes that's true and that she's been saying let's do something about it this entire time for the past 2 years yet nothing's really been done about it. I told her that okay I get it clearly now so let's try to work this out and build a renewed foundation centered around what we wanted from the beginning cause even broken things can be a blessing if mended by God but she just said no and that she's be draining and that she is completely drained now to give me another chance. I understood her and didn't understand her because I wanted her give me another chance where the things she wanted didn't have to be squeezed/forced out of me and that they comes out naturally if our foundation is rebuilt but she said it's too late and it's been 2 years at that she can't do this anymore or have the desire to do this with me. She also mentioned that her color of faith is different from mine. She explained that her desire in this relationship was dissolving quickly and the only thing was keeping it was to think back to the beginning of the relationship and how she felt for me. I've asked multiple times and asked to let's try this again cause she is the person for me in every way and I just blew it. I asked to talk the following day and asked again and again to give me one last chance to make this relationship work so that but she said she doesn't want to and doesn't have any desire to be in a relationship with me. It's never that I didn't listen to her, it just took over and over several times for me to clearly take the right approach to this situation....but now it's too late.I don't know what to do. I know it's my fault that it lead to this point. I couldn't see that she was so drained, that she was on her last straw. I was too slow to listen and too quick to talk and become angry when it should have been the other way around. I blame myself for losing the girl of my dreams right now. I know that God made this relationship possible from the start (that another story in itself) and that God has a reason for all these things but I don't know what to do. I can't blame anyone but myself cause I didn't give a 100%. It was too late when I, myself saw the clear picture. I don't want to lose her. I didn't know being too quiet/not sharing a lot can show my faith/spiritual level, I thought it was more character based and maybe that what she means when she says "we have a different color of faith." I don't want this to be the end of our story cause I can't see my future without her in it. She's very certain on her decision, that she doesn't want a relationship with me. Is there anything I can do? What should I do? What can I do to possibly spark that fire between us again and for her to give it shot again, one last time? I want this relationship and want to make it work, where I know the problem and where I can give all I have.Thank you for reading my current situation and I'm apologize if it was hard to understand what I just wrote. Please let me know if I can clarify anything for you. Thank you again.

  2. Cohen photographs the world’s major cities, seeking out views that resonate for him and noting the precise time, angle, and latitude and longitude of his exposure. Cohen's Gallery of more major cities and their stars I'm not fond of big cities. These pictures change my mind. Can you imagine if there was no light pollution in cities? Some other light source that doesn't obscure the view of the stars? We'd have crinked necks and bruised faces , walking into things as we can't help but keep looking up.

  3. Sorry to hear about this. I think you need to go to work on yourself first. Get in to counseling on your own and find out how to express yourself. It looks like that was what she had been wanting all along. Some one to come along side her and be able to connect intimately (not sexually btw). Someone that she could really talk to and know her heart. Faith and spirituality are great but we also need connection. In your spiritual aspects, you should be praying with her. My wife and I pray together every morning before I leave for work. They are not long drawn prayers but just prayers for each other and for our kids. I think that puts a little fuel in our spiritual tanks before we face the day. Praying together should be a pivotal part of your relationship. Maybe find a group of older men who are married like the elders in your church to help you with this. Just telling her you are going to do better isn't enough. She needs to see actions. It seems you had been telling her this stuff for a long time but she never saw any actions to back up your words.

  5. I don't know about testing as much as I understanding about trials and tribulations. I look at this in the manner of the ability to grow as a human being and a Christian by going through adversity and the learning experience from that being used to support others who may just be going through or about to be going through what you just did. God knows our strengths and our weaknesses and is constantly wishing us to overcoming those weaknesses and extend those strengths, so that we can better serve him by being there to lend a comforting hand and a warm smile for those who are no so sure of themselves. We are all, hopefully after the same goal and that is to prepare others for the times to come and the more prepared we are the better we are at helping other to prepare themselves. We can't pack their bags, but we can ease the burden on them and that takes experiences of our own. I chose to look at Job in that respect. I just wonder how many poeple Job touched throughout the rest of his life, but I know from his experiences he had the potential to touch hundreds. How many have gone through what he did and came out well tanned in the word of God.

"CHOICE" Spoken Word Poetry "Abortion destroys precious individuals who are made in the image of God. “Choice,” a riveting Spoken Word poetry video by Living Waters President, Emeal (“E.Z.”) Zwayne, drives this urgent truth home, and holds up the glorious gospel as our only hope and remedy. 8. There must be some short of life which we can not see, but we see the works of that life. Time pass the astronomers setle this argument when they objerve a new hill that there was not there before in one of the planets. That was physical evidence that there was life in that planet. There was a lot of speculation , in the line of what kind of equipment they must have used to form this huge hill in that short period of time. Some claim it was their garbage dumb, because it kept sifting in shape and growing in size. And to everyone surprise , one time it all disappeared. The one who suggested that the hill consisted of salt, and they must have had a bad winter , that they used all of it to salt their roads got the Nobel prize of seeing where no one can see. When they took him in for an eye examination, instant of opening his eyes he closed them. And refused to open them up. And he said , I can see that all of you are very angry with me because I do not open my eyes , but if I open my eyes I will not see what I can see with my eyes close.

  9. Even more amazing is that Cohen has kept this to himself all these years. He is usually is such a quiet person and yet so dear to my heart. Thank you for sharing these photos. They are a real blessing. My husband used to take a telescope with him when he traveled and set it up on a remote forest hillside. Our kids were still small, but he took us up there one night to show us the beauty he had discovered. Well, it was all interrupted by a loud noise and being attacked by an unknown assailant! Hubby pushed me and the kids into the car, as we were struck again and again with a roar. Later we learned it was a Common Nighthawk, a nightjar. The males make a frightening noise when defending their nests which are on open ground. We had apparently come to close in the dark. "During the breeding season, the male makes a booming sound by flexing his wings while diving, making air rush through his primaries. He does this while diving at females during courtship, and while diving at intruders (including humans). The male may clap his wings when intruders approach the nest."

  10. I know what you mean. It takes a bit of imagination to pick out the named star clusters. Though a beautiful night sky is a wonder for the imagination in itself. When I was a child and still today, I wonder(ed) if there was life out there that as looking toward our own milky way galaxy and wondering if anyone was there looking back at them. Later in my early 20's I found a tee shirt that was a perfect reminder of those days. The design is shared below. Perfect to really put into perspective how small we are in God's galactic tapestry.

  11. I don't know if he did anything else than just omit the artificial lighting to arrive at these shots. The skies pictured are said to be the exact sky at that time of year over each city. With nothing but starlight illuminating any part of the evening I imagine there would be a natural dark hue to any big city. Cutting out the lights in the buildings pictured too of course. I have friends who went to Alaska to camp out.In the middle of nowhere, they chose to forego their tents and bring their sleeping bags outside so they could enjoy the stars in the pitch black. No light pollution, no other humans for miles. Thank goodness bears weren't anywhere around. They'd have been the human equivalent of a hot pocket.

  12. I am re-posting this one because the original posting got truncated during one of the site updates. Many years ago my good friend and fellow artist asked me to join her weekly art class. Since she was teaching fairly basic classes I had no interest in doing so. She was insistent, however, from her desire to get me out of the house and socializing with those in her circle. I finally agreed and showed up with my sketch pad and boredom all in tow. She had assembled the expected bowl of fruit, with apples, oranges, bananas and cascading bunches of grapes. Not really your standardized collection since she included the leaves on the grape clusters and even inserted a couple of wild flowers here and there. Nice, but it still didn’t grab my interest. She set up a single light source and then told the class to sketch the assortment by using a single color. “All but you, Rhonda,” she said. “You are to sketch only the shadows.” Pro 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart And do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He will make your paths straight. Now she had my attention. Imagine the dimpled effect of the orange, the smooth textures of the bananas and the swirling effects of the apples. This is not to mention the multiple displays of light exchanges on the grapes and leaves. Not only was this an advanced assignment, but as it turned out, this was one of the more fruitful (excuse the pun) lessons in my art career. My boredom turned to amazed interest, and continued throughout my life, to seek the light source and its profound or subtle affects. The light can drastically change the object. Jhn 1:9 There was the true Light which, coming into the world, enlightens every man. The shading on a grapefruit differentiates that fruit from an orange, and makes it 3 dimensional. We are the same. Our past experiences apply layers of shading to us, to make us who we are. Our Father, our Light Source, reveals the beings that are shaped by His Hand and reveals that we are not flat people walking around with no purpose, but are instead highly intricate, detailed beings with depth and substance. Rom 5:3-5 And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation brings about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope; and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Imagine a painting with a man walking down a road under a bright afternoon sun. With no shadow the man would not be grounded. He would not appear to belong in the painting. He would seem to be a blemish instead of part of his surroundings. With the shadow, meaning the hardships, the trials, the ups and downs of life, he wouldn’t have substance. Perhaps our trials help to anchor us, to keep us connected. Psa 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou [art] with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. I know many who seem to have longer shadows than others. They have endured much, and still are buffeted by some tough times. Yet they also seem to grow in beauty, and in stature. Like a highly detailed painting, they seem to stand out from the rest. It is those that carry the extra strokes of the charcoal, the added dabs of paint that we have come to know as the beauty and timelessness of the Masters. 2Cr 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

  13. That must be it. My pleasure. Did you click on the gallery and scroll through all the other city star scapes? Amazing shots. Rio, Rome, San Francisco and more. All these gorgeous cities with their respective star fields showing in the skies above. It's shocking what we're missing due to light pollution that we're so use to.

  14. Hi Worthy - I agree with your thread, that the KJV is the best translation. Just for an eye catcher to accompany your alarm concerning nearly all the modern translations, look at 2 Samuel 21:19. You'll see they read that Elhanan killed Goliath. The translators decided to leave out the phrase "the brother of" because it is not found in any of the extant Hebrew manuscript copies, but the KJV translators included it in order to maintain a correct reading. The King James translators brilliantly utilized a system that italicized words to let the reader know they were not found in the copies. Their additions are for the purpose of presenting a text that does not contradict itself, i.e. "the brother of" is italicized in 2 Sam 21:19 but there are no italicization in 1 Chronicles 20:5 which correctly records the account concerning Elhanan killing Lahmi the brother of Goliath. The majority of the modern Bible versions are based on manuscript copies (there are no known original manuscripts) that were recently discovered and are accepted as credible due to their antiquity because they are the oldest copies (only a few codices). But the reason for their good condition and age is due to the fact that they were too inconsistent in containing content found the majority of copies and fell into disuse because they rejected them. Hence if they had an acceptable text they would have undergone the same wear as most, which often required recopying before becoming illegible, and the copiers destroyed many among the majority of copies in order to prevent them from falling into misuse. These older manuscripts (Vaticanus, Sinaiticus, Alexdandrinus) have been proclaimed by some of the prominent Bible scholars of the past (Robert D Wilson, William Burgeon, et al.) to be products of scholars who were steeped into Gnosticism, which versions often detract from the deity of Christ, i.e. Ephesians 3:9 omits the phrase "by Jesus Christ." Translations that contain the plenary (entire) versions of the Word of God in the Greek NT are those based on The Majority Text (KJV, NKJV, YLT, WEB, et al). The errant versions are listed in the Minority Text (nearly all other modern versions, and the NIV just recently began publishing the correct reading in 1 Sam 21:19). When using a concordance for Word searching related to verse locations, etc. the KJV is the best to use because it is the most unchanged version. Since most of the modern versions significantly vary in content to the traditional versions, they cannot be used in a concordance for searches. I've shared this information with many in the least few decades and have surprisingly discovered only a handful of concerned Christians concerning this because most Christians for a long time now (last 50 years IMO) have discontinued reading and studying the Bible (which, IMO is one of the primary reasons for reading inconsistency. Making it difficult to decide on a translation usually results in indecisiveness and a cessation of study). Good subject and thanks for starting it!

  15. Could it be also a reaction on Lots part after many years of living in a depraved society and having part of that mindset and "culture" rubbing off on him ? Hence the offering his daughters to the men and also the episode later with the daughters' decision about bearing children (sired by Lot).

He coordinated then refused to veto a UN decoration from the UN that basically set in motion to punish Israel if they did not agree to a settlement with the Palestinian's that would pretty much put them into a completely defenseless position.. Two it tried to solidify a two state solution which would divide the land given to Israel both by God in the beginning and earlier UN resolutions...... and God has made some serious threats against people who would divide his land given to the Nation of Israel. I do not want to be among those people, so I ask the Lord to deal with the people behind this and not our whole nation.

  20. Thoughts? ~~ "There is a serious problem within protestant evangelical Christianity. We love right preaching and teaching more than we love right living. We love power and authority more than sacrifice and submission. We love honor over humility...." <Snip> "Leaders of the church are to be representatives of Jesus, individuals set apart to be under-shepherds. They are to care for the flock. And what do we need? We need teaching, encouragement, comfort, and rebuke in their proper times and measures. But most of all we need our leaders to be images/examples of our true Shepherd. "Quite simply, the good shepherd is one who lays down his life for the sheep (John 10:11) and who feeds, carries, and gently leads (Isa 40:11). Of course this is a picture of a powerful leader. Only one with power who knows right and wrong can choose to sacrifice rights and become smaller for the purpose of care of the most vulnerable. "But we have a pattern of enabling self-promoting leaders of the flock. These want to be listened to, respected and followed for their own sake. Sure, they may speak of the Gospel of grace, but how do live it? ..." https://philipmonroe.com/2017/01/16/a-cancer-within-evangelical-christianity/

  23. I think that you did a good job on the video Christopher. I, like yourself, also think that the tribulation is close. I wish that I could have some apocalyptic dreams like you do. If I do have any, I don't remember them when I wake up. You said something about being an atheist for awhile. Can you remember when it was that you began to think the end times are near? For me it was in July 2013. I enjoyed your idea to read Psalm 91 at the "third" hour. So I was listening to your video again while I'm writing this and had to stop it about 9 minutes in. This can be sobering material to consider. How do we go about our daily routine? I find that I have zero patience with traffic or with needless delays. You said something about the possibility of us having to leave our homes. I agree. I agree that there may be very little time remaining. There's a video called "Homeless sleeping pod Concept" where the author builds this cheap lightweight shelter out of a plastic sheeting called chloroplast. Add a couple of bicycle wheels to the end of it and I could have a portable emergency shelter. This thing would keep a person warm, dry and off the ground. I would have the thing packed up and ready to go. Wood stove, sleeping bag, fishing poles and some granola bars. I would haul it up north in the back of my pick up until the road ended and Crown land began. Then just pull the thing like a rickshaw as deep into the bush as I could. It can get negative 40 degrees up there in winter, so it's not for the faint of heart. Or I might just stay in my rural house and take a chance with my cats. If the Lord wants me to remain alive for His second coming, He will see to it. He will shorten the days. But if I am to be taken captive, then into captivity I will go. If I am to die by the sword, then by the sword I will die. I want to follow the Lamb wherever He goes. One last thing before I let you go. A hypothesis about the granola bars. Where I live there's a store called Wall Mart that sells them in a box of 32. I'm going to have 12 boxes of them ready just in case. I think that will be enough to last me through the tribulation of those days that Jesus was talking about in the Olivet. I have a hunch that the days have already been shortened on the front end. So that when the really bad things begin, they'll be over fast. Possibly 420 days, or a "third" of the 1260 day span.

  25. Amen. There's a video at You Tube that shows Christians daring to go into Dearborn and minister the gospel. The police turn on the Christians even when they're assaulted by the first offender Muslims there. It's amazing how the police , at least the one's featured in the video, will betray their duty just to side with Islam. I guess the fear groundwork was laid long ago. When a religions faithful will blow themselves up just to make a point, people tend to be afraid of giving such people cause to go boom in future. And people that do martyr themselves in such ways do so because they're assured paradise for their personal sacrifice. Something that Islam does not promise to all Muslims. Not even Muhammad thought he would see paradise for all that he did to spread the words of Allah. Had he blown himself up in Jihad or in furtherance of a fatway, a death warrant, against an enemy of Islam, he would have been a shoe in . And Islamic paradise? Is an enticement to the young males who are exploited for their lack of education in the middle east and by predatory Imam's and rich sheiks . The sheiks promise to care for the future martyr's family so they'll want for nothing after their loved one dies for the cause that rich sheik isn't willing to die for himself. Meanwhile, the enticement to carry out the mission of martyr is that when assured paradise, the dead martyr can enjoy to their fill all those things that are considered, Halal, forbidden, in this life.Women, liquor, foods that are forbidden, etc..... It was forbidden when they had taste buds and senses to enjoy such things in this life. But if they commit suicide in order to kill others who are innocent, they can indulge in the forbidden for all time. Yeah, that makes sense as fulfilling Allah's doctrine of right living. Just that when you're dead it doesn't need to be right anymore because hey, you're in paradise. Right? *cough*

  26. Perhaps your experience is different. That's what I've heard here in this part of the country. People here do indeed say that regarding Paul. And they really mean it. It does not matter if you believe it or not. Many people here believe that the 1611 KJV translation of the Bible was inspired. Again, many people here say they would die for such a stance. If you will note the questions I posed on post #4 of this thread were prior to the OP (worthy) clarifying on post #10 if she believed the KJV is the only version of the Bible people should read. So my questions were made prior to that knowledge. I don't find them inappropriate at all but relevant to the discussion. If you don't like the questions I asked feel free to ignore them or to find another thread. You've made your opinion known. Two times now in fact. And I disagree. There's no rule on Worthy that states one cannot ask questions in the forums. Or share thoughts or opinions regarding a given subject which in this case is a particular version of the Bible in English. While the KJV is a good translation there are other translations in English that are valid. The KJV has it's own set of translation issues just like any translation of the Bible. Bottom line the Holy Spirit must guide each of us in determining which translation of the Bible is best suited for us to read. God bless, GE

  28. When I was learning to walk with God in the 70's I read a lot of testimonies that were inspirational as well as Christian classics that were encouraging. But my hunger for the Word was insatiable. While I was in Bible Study Fellowship as well as while teaching Sunday School, God put me through trials in which I had to apply the scripture I studied to my own life's situations. Thereby He made it my own and it became a part of me. I remembered it as well. This reading and applying is what fulfilled the hunger. The more I read the Bible the more I became acquainted with the God of the Bible. Through His dealings with Israel and through the life of Jesus I became acquainted with His Character, which is what is meant by His Name. Too many people have their own ideas of who God is, which is partly based on the world's ideas and on myths like Santa Clause which promote a works based salvation. That is how they conclude that there is no hell and when they die they will get their wings and turn into angels! Some of the experiences published as testimonies were produced to sell books and make money. Some were fabricated. The ones that were real truly turned their lives upside down and changed them by humbling them. They rejoice only that their names are written in the Lamb's book of life, and are left with hearts full of worship and praise for their Creator Who died for them.

  30. Oh absolutely there are a lot of non fiction Christian books out there that can allow a Christian to stumble and fall. I would research the author and where the author stands as far as their belief. Having good discernment comes in handy here. Being well grounded in the Word of God so when you see a counterfeit you know it.

  31. We accuse others of being unjust to us because they robbed us of some physical good, but we are being much more unjust by depriving them of the spiritual good that is theirs right (after all, Jesus died to call sinners to repentance - Matt 9.12,13). Jesus already ordained His love for them in us (Psalms 23: 6), and this is what all creation expects of the children of the Eternal (Rom. 8:19-22). Jesus has already enabled us to help them in their afflictions and besiege of Ha-Satan (1Peter 5:8,9). But, instead of humiliating ourselves beyond what we were humbled (1Peter 5:5-7) and set ourselves up to give to the individual more than he hoped to wrench from us (Matt 5:38-42), we resented and resisted the goodness and mercy of the Spirit of Jesus in us (see John 15:9; Rom 11.22). The only reason Jesus allows anyone to sin against us is because He can show himself to the person through us (see Matt 9.12,13). Therefore, when we resent someone, we are, in fact, rebelling against Jesus. After all, it was He who gave us such a mission. Hence Jesus said: · "Then said he unto the disciples, It is impossible but that offences will come: but woe unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him. And if he trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not. So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which was our duty to do."(Luke 17:1-10). · "For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:20). If we do not forgive we run the risk of remaining under eternal torment: · “Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee? And his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him. So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.” (Matthew 18.32-35). May Jesus free us from the curse of spending our life hating the one for whom He died.

  32. That is a good idea. Of course they will be banned during the tribulation but they can be given secretly to those who come to Christ during that time.

  33. The Bishop is offended by the reaction because he's ignorant about Islam. The attempt of ecumenism is fraud. And that he'd rather concede to Muslims entering the cathedral rather than hoping to save their souls from their false god and religion is what is distressing. Islam does not recognize Isa, which is the name for Jesus in Islam, as the divine son of God. Allowing a Muslim to read from the Quran during the feast of the epiphany is blasphemy.

  34. 1Pe 4:12 Beloved, don’t be astonished at the fiery trial which has come upon you, to test you, as though a strange thing happened to you. 1Pe 4:13 But because you are partakers of Christ’s sufferings, rejoice; that at the revelation of his glory you also may rejoice with exceeding joy. 1Pe 4:14 If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed; because the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you. On their part he is blasphemed, but on your part he is glorified. 1Pe 1:6 Wherein you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been put to grief in various trials, 1Pe 1:7 that the proof of your faith, which is more precious than gold that perishes even though it is tested by fire, may be found to result in praise, glory, and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ— Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, Jas 1:3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. Jas 1:4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. Mat 5:10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. Mat 5:11 “Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Mat 5:12 Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you. It seems that it is normal for Christians to endure trials. We may not go through everything Job went through but some of us have felt like it. We go through the grief of losing loved ones. We go through illness of various kinds. We go through the rejection of people we love for Christ's sake. God gives us grace to endure, but sometimes it didn't feel that way. A common cold can make you feel like Job, let alone the flu. For some of us these common respiratory infections can be life threatening. But it is nothing to being threatened with beheading if we don't renounce our faith, and watching our family and friends die. It makes me wonder if a person is a genuine Christian if they have not endured trials. It is the human condition. But it is also the mark of a true believer to have our faith tested. Those who endure and are more solid in faith after trials have been tested by God and have developed patient endurance. Our trials have differed, but they were putting a finger on a sore spot, a weakness or a fear, and they were tailor made for each of us. Sometimes it seems like we go through the same thing over and over and we ask God to please help us learn the lesson. Jesus was tempted by satan when he was in the wilderness. They were tailor made for Him. We are told that He was tempted in all ways as we are, yet without sin. Often the words trial and temptation are interchangeable . peirasmós Satan may tempt us during a trial that was sent by God to establish us and show us to be faithful.

  36. Hi Iamsarts Mike, CBM, and Bill have given you excellent replies and I have little to add. I believe that we say that we have a personal relationship with God for a reason... because it IS personal ! Reading about God and/or the bible is kind of like meeting someone you like but instead of being with them to get to know them, you just read ABOUT them. I believe praying is a method of getting to know God. Speaking to Him throughout the day, keeping Him in your mind and in your life in general. I believe reading the bible is another way of getting to know God. Especially the New Testament which tells us exactly what God expects from us and how He has saved us from ourselves (the harm we do to ourselves through sin), from death (of the spirit and physical) and from punishment by being separated from God after our death. The bible is also very positive - it teaches us life and how to live it to the best of our ability and to know what God would want for our well-being. This is what I do: I read and think about what I've read. I use the New American Standard Bible, or NASB. If I don't understand it, I read 2 or 3 other different bibles, including Young's Literal Translation from the Greek. I give everything much thought. I like to come to my own conclusion before I read any commentary - which is very rare. God has something special for each of us. Let HIM talk to you! Fran BTW, Mere Christianity was the best book I ever read that explained Christianity. (I do also read other books but I started out many years ago with the bible).

After Jonathan's death, David went forth to show kindness to Saul's house. Mephibosheth had become lame at the young age of five -- he had lived his entire life as a cripple. 39. Thank you for your answer. I always look into my dreams and try to understand the significance of them. Sometimes I dream of times were everything is different, like a survival situation, and some of the events occur during that time. Other times everything is normal and something suddenly strikes. I've read a lot of dreams and visions of fellow Christian's and there were a lot of similarities in the dreams I was having. I made this video, and overcame the embarrassment of being public about my views on Facebook, internet because I felt strongly that I was being warned of the coming times. Thanks again.

  40. I have edited my post to remove that. My apologies, you were not belittling, you were posting scripture and stating your interpretation. I just found that your position of emphatically stating no one can prepare for these times, when there are different ways to prepare yourself (physical, mental, spiritual) that are sensible, I had difficulty with. I didn't agree with your interpretation of scripture but this does not mean you were belittling. My apologies for over-reacting.

  41. Greetings hmbld, I actually had a similar thing myself. I had dreams of disaster, tsunami, earthquakes, all before I came to believe in God and eventually came to faith in Jesus Christ. I felt like I needed to prepare for what was coming in the future. I don’t believe in a pre-tribulation rapture. I believe Jesus will collect us upon His return. His return is when he comes to defeat the beast, false prophet and dragon (satan) and the kings and armies of the world at Armageddon. I believe we will undergo tribulation. Many saints are said to die, and the beast makes war with them during the tribulation. We are told by Jesus we will be delivered up to be killed and hated by all nations. If these Words of God are to be true, then we can’t be taken from the earth before these times. Jesus prays to His father at John 17:15 for us to not be taken from the earth, but to keep us from evil. I believe this is His provision for us during these times. Now being a ‘prepper’ is a bit of an uncomfortable label that has been created. We are told in 1 Timothy 5:8 “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.” Also at Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” The story of the 7 years of plenty and 7 years of famine given by prophetic dream to Pharoh that Joseph interpreted, they prepared for this time with physical preparations and were saved as a result. We are warned of coming famines in the Word of Matthew 24:7 “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.” Also in Revelation 6:6-8, with a fourth of the earth killed “with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.” So twice we are warned by Jesus of famines. If Joseph and Pharoh prudently prepared physically for the coming famine, why is preparing for the famine and war warned by Jesus to be considered foolish? I don’t say you need to go out and be a gung-ho prepper, but having some food and water on hand, and some basic survival equipment (backpack with sleeping equipment, means of starting a fire, purifying water, cutting tool etc.) are all useful basic preparations to take. We are told in Matthew 6:25 “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?” So I believe the Lord will provide for us, but this doesn’t mean we should not heed the warnings of the Lord and make some simple preparations for the times He has warned us about; famine, persecution, death. This is going to involve collapsing economies and death by hunger. Trusting in the Lord does not mean you do nothing yourself to prepare, even as He has advised us to do so! The mental preparations I discuss are grounding yourself in the Word of the Lord and to test for the fruit and to test the spirits to whether they are of God. To ground yourself in the truth of the Word of the Lord is to protect yourself from deception. This world is already steeped in deception, but this will only increase as warned by the Lord, and the whole world will marvel after the beast except those who are true to God. False-Christs and wolves in sheep’s clothing will abound, we must be guarded against deception by being close to the Lord. In terms of spiritual preparation this is strengthening your faith and your spirit to spirit relationship with the Lord. Humbling yourself, seeking His correction and His forgiveness, repenting and turning from sin. Also knowing of the qualities and attributes of the Lord. He is all things. He knows the beginning from the end. Nothing falls to the ground without the Father knowing. All of the hairs on our heads are numbered. All is within God’s hand and control. He is almighty. He is omnipotent. Knowing of the Lord’s attributes gives us strength in times of difficulty, we know He is faithful and He is true. Also I discuss putting on the whole armor of God contained in Ephesians 6:10, focusing on each item and what it means to you and seeking the Lord to manifest the armor unto you. Also I read Psalm 91, which contain important promises and protection from the Lord. I encourage all to pray to the Lord in times of difficulty, in fear, when under attack, and to pray for the brethren. Knowing that 1 Corinthians 3:16 says “know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” so wherever we go we are with God. These times of tribulation may force us to leave our homes with nothing but what we can take with us. They involve war and death on unprecedented levels. The most important preparation is spiritual preparation. Mental preparation is the next priority. The final priority is physical preparations. Whatever preparations you make there are no guarantees. We aren’t to love our lives in the flesh, but taking preparations I believe is wise. I foresee evil and I shall do something about it, at least some simple preparations of food and water, given the warnings of the Lord that we will see famine. Preparing is not only for yourself, but your family and those who are near you, you may be able to help them in this regard. But know that you could lose everything, have no possessions or be forced to leave it all. This is why physical preparations are least important. But I do not believe physical preparations should be ridiculed in anyway. If we experience a global war, or the electricity goes out, and we are under tribulation and persecution, and you realise you aren’t taken from the earth before you experience suffering, then you may be glad you made some simple preparations for this time. Well I only go by my own beliefs and by the dreams and experiences I have had. You all are welcome to come to your own conclusions and to prepare in the way you desire. This isn’t all directed at you hmbld, but to generally discuss these issues as brought up by others. Thank you for your post. Abdicate – You cannot say we are not to prepare based on the warnings of the Lord Jesus Christ. He has warned us in the Word before time so we know what is to come. Proverbs 22:3 “A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.” Nowhere does it say we are to not prepare for the coming of the Lord. Preparation is more than physical, it is mental and spiritual, as I have discussed above. 1 Thes 5:9-11 does not say He will take us out of the earth. True believers in Christ are not appointed unto His wrath. It does not say they are taken from the earth. As I said above, the Lord says at John 17:15 in prayer to His father that we be not taken from the earth, but to be protected from evil. We will be protected by the Lord in these times, to do HIS will. This may be to preach His Word. In overcoming the dragon (satan), Revelation 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Those who overcame gave word of their testimony. If we are to give word of our testimony during the tribulation (many saints die during the tribulation) then we will be roaming around. I suggest basic physical preparations such as some stored food and water, some survival equipment, some survival knowledge. Knowing how to make shelter, find food in the wild, make fire to keep warm. All of this involves a physical life on the earth. It is not wasted knowledge. Nowhere are we told to NOT prepare ourselves. Those who think they will be taken from the earth before tribulation will potentially curse and rebuke the Lord when they undergo suffering. These events in Revelation are extreme. One third of the people on earth dying. One fourth dying. Massive earthquakes, meteors, armies of the beast, the dragon making war against the saints, the beast being given power to overcome the saints, the blood of the saints being found in Babylon. This is all extreme. This does not mean we do not prepare. And as I said, preparation can be physical, mental and spiritual. You should make the physical preparations you see fit, as I advise in my letter and video to “seek the Lord and make the physical preparations you feel you should”. None of the scripture you quoted supports that assertion. Thank you for your post. Warrior12 –very true. Many are not able to make physical preparations for themselves. Spiritual preparation is the most important. We will all die at some point. Coming into extreme times we must ready ourselves spiritually by being close to the Lord and not denying Him until the end and we will be given the crown of life (Rev 2:10). Jesus and the Word describes a very grim picture. But we are not to fear these things coming, but only fear the Lord, and put our trust and faith in Him. Our faith is our shield and “the Lord is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in Him I will trust” (Psalm 91:2). I like this verse. Thanks for your post. Onelight – I feel the same. I have one person only who I can speak to about these things. The rest of the people I know tell me not to talk about these things or what might be coming in the future because they don’t want to hear it. I see the trajectory as you do, though I am relatively young. I feel the oppression of this world and see how full of evil and deception it is. I made this video to discuss the Word of what is coming, and to give my interpretation. I quote the Word much throughout my video. I find comfort in the Word, since I know it is the Word of the Lord. And as much as people want to twist and deny it, they cannot assault its truth to me. Thank you for your post. Daniel 11:36 – I stated the reasons above why basic physical preparations is something that I advise. We are in a fragile world. A simple hurricane can clear out the stores for a week. How much worse if the power went out for a longer period of time? We are warned in the Word of coming wars and famines. These are physical events. To ridicule physical preparations I believe is a mistake. Of course I do not prepare with basic physical preparations and ASSUME I am going to be fine from the sheer extremity of what the Word says is coming in Matthew and Revelation. Our faith in the Lord is our shield, but this doesn’t mean we do not act sensibly given the warnings and Word given to us by the Lord. 1 Peter 4:12 says “Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: 13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. 14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.” Further in Revelation 3:18 “I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.” Gold refined in the fire so that we may be purified. This does not take away from the Lord’s promise in Revelation 3:10 “Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.” The Lord does not say He will take us from the earth, but keep us from the hour of trial that will come upon the whole world. This is Jesus’ words to the 6th Church who Rev 3:8 “I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.” Those who have kept His Word, have not denied His name, they have a little strength. Important to note Jesus calls most of the church to repentance or He will come at them with the sword of His mouth (Rev 2:16), will be vomited out (Rev 3:16-17). Do you assume you will not go through tribulation? I agree that the only true protection is your faith to the Lord. One of the primary goals is to bring people to the Lord. Again the Lord does not say He will take us from the earth. Believing in the Lord is not a guarantee, you must do the will of the Father, Matthew 7:21-23 “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” This and the words in Revelation show that many who consider themselves believers in the Lord will NOT actually be true believers in the Lord. Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God”. We must be faithful in the Lord. This means being faithful to His Word, His teachings and what He commands of us. Many will be vomited from the Lord’s mouth. The church is called to repentance. The apostasy and falling away will come. Do these people who consider themselves believers in the Lord, but are vomited out, are they SAVED? I bet they thought themselves SAVED... Thanks for your post.

  42. "That's my two cents." Your two cents of advice is worth millions .... good post Why would anyone adventure to prepare for the Lord's coming judgment and wrath upon them? [Psalms 2; Revelation 6:12-17] No man's preparation will make one iota of difference against the Lord's wrath This idea has come from those of professing Christianity who seem to think they need to be purified by the coming tribulation period and therefore no truth exists about the Lord's promise [Revelation 3:10] What needs to be done is exactly what you advocate .... preach the Lord's Word and His offer to save a man [2 Timothy 4:] ..... this is the only preparation against the Lord's coming wrath that will work [John 3:16-18] A man who enters the coming tribulation has no such guarantee [Revelation 3:15-19]

  43. Hi Christopher and Welcome, You asked how we feel, so I will answer accordingly. I have seen the world become far more dangerous in the past 60 + years, much more hateful, much more angry. I have seen the rise of many forms of witchcraft, from open religious gathering of such with very popular movies/shows to the rise of division among cultures/people where hate is the driving force. Many things have happened in my lifetime from the threat of nuclear war in the 50's to the 60's to the threat of if you neighbor is a terrorist or just "different". Peace has been slowly removed as the reporting of news became more grandstand. All in all, I cannot stand the world any longer and look forward to His return. His creation is the only place I can find peace, if I remove all the human errors from my mind as I contemplate His purpose for all this. I used to find comfort on sites like this when there was far more discussion of Christ and His reasons for creation, but these sites have become as hateful toward each other in the threads I read and I no longer find comfort here either. I long to see His hand move toward the end time when He returns. This is how I feel in a nutshell, be it very vague in content. We can discuss these feels yo ask about, or we can discuss scripture telling us how the end of this age will be like. Your choice.

  44. Thank you for posting your heartfelt and visionary insights that has come to you as you described. Many love this world too much not to see what the Bible has spoken of and the signs that abounds. But truly, no man knows the day or the hour. Yes, we are to have a reasonably amount of food and supplies always, as tragedy can strike without warning. I remember here in North America about 15yrs ago, there was a nation wide blackout, no one thought that would ever occur, but it did and it was scary. But as a believer, you have to keep in your heart that death has be conquered by your new birth. Absent in the body is presence with the Lord. Galatians 2King James Version (KJV) 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. Multitudes of believers live in cities and have no way of preparing for disasters and depend on the government services. There are many who are old and sick that would be very vulnerable and how are they to have that security except to trust in the Lord with all their heart for his divine protection. Physically a believer may not have the resources to do all the precautions that those in the rural areas may have, but spiritually, they have all that is necessary to see them through any tragedy and troubles that may ensure. So fundamentally, make sure you have surrendered your life to Jesus Christ and let him be your shield, rock and armor. Matthew 24 gives a grim picture of what some of the things that will take place. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. 9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. 12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. 13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Hebrews 9:27 Or, For Lack Of A Proper Tool Some Ideas Have A Screw Loose.... Proverbs 21:30 ~ Be Blessed Beloved Of The KING The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:24-27 (King James Bible) Love, Your Brother Joe ~ Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever. Psalms 119:160 (King James Bible) The Bible contains the mind of God, the state of man, the way of salvation, the doom of sinners, and the happiness of believers. Its doctrines are holy, its precepts are binding, its histories are true, and its decisions are immutable. Read it to be wise, believe it to be safe, and practice it to be holy. It contains light to direct you, food to support you, and comfort to cheer you. It is the traveler’s map, the pilgrim’s staff, the pilot’s compass, the soldier’s sword and the Christian’s charter. Here too, Heaven is opened and the gates of Hell disclosed. Christ is its grand subject, our good its design, and the glory of God its end. It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet. Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth, a paradise of glory, and a river of pleasure. It is given you in life, will be opened at the judgment, and be remembered forever. It involves the highest responsibility, rewards the greatest labor, and will condemn all who trifle with its sacred contents. From The Inside Of My Gideon New Testament

  46. It would seem that your husband can't completely come to terms with your past. Sadly, this is a burden that he is bearing and to the detriment of the relationship you have together. Simply put you trusted your husband with a past he was not ready to bear. This is no fault of your own, nor is it his. That level of vulnerability should be had, with the knowledge that an equally matched security will be given. I empathize with your pain, your spouse should be your best friend and one you can share anything with. The only advice I can give is to offer the love and understanding to your husband that you desire he would give to you. Hopefully the relationship that God desires for you both to have together can be realized. I will close with this and it may not be popular. While your husband my not have fully come to terms with your past that does not give him the right to become emotionally abusive, nor give him any reason not to honor his vows. Do not allow anything like that to become something consistent in your marriage.

I worry it's too late to ask forgiveness, ask Jesus into my heart, and make Him the Lord and Savior of my life. Have I lost my opportunity to be forgiven, be saved, and have a relationship with God? I can't find peace at all.
