  1. Consider what Jesus said: "‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ". What does it mean to live these words? Far more than just obeying the laws. Jesus continues by saying "On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets." By no means is this reducing anything, but expounding upon them. Meditate on this and consider what loving God like this really means and you will understand.

  2. Jesus made us take more responsibility for our actions and be more responsible to each other. He simplfied the deduction of the laws and tore away the red tape and the neuances that those who were the scribes and the religious hierachy of the day had built around these laws, which Jesus said, made Gods laws of non effect. The Scribes were all about being seen as dignified by the rest of the Israelites. They liked the idea that people had to come to them for their special little take on the laws they had manipulated for years. If I'm not mistaken The Pharisees and Sagisees were religious movements who highlight different ideals within the laws to make themselves more favorable to those of the Israelites they could con into following them. They were the religious version of our political parties of today and wanted more to control those filling their ranks then they were the well being of these same followers. What blows my mind is the left always seems to thing the the new testament is so degrading to women, but Christ updated the status of women from that of a person who could be put away like old baggage to a human being that deserved to be recognized as a person and a wife. He did more for women in that short time he walked the world then anyone before him dating as far back as the carving of the Ten Commandments.

  3. I don't know about anyone else, but i have a very hard time being angry at anyone for a very long time. Even those I place on ignore I have the tendency to remove that off them. I don't see anything good by embracing hurt and anguish, because I don't like how it makes me feel and I don't like what I become when I keep my anger bottled up. I guess the best thing for that is to forgive those who angered you and forgive yourself for letting someone get you angry. God knew this when he instructed us to do so and I praise him every day for his love and understanding. My main problem is that I've suffered so many years of self doubt and insecurity that I have come to the conclusion that I will be open and honest to a fault, so I will leave no foothold in which someone can hurt me or cause me pain by pushing a button that I am trying to conceal, so I won't be hurt. I've found out that if you reveal all the dark places in my soul that they can never be used against me, because they are no longer dark. They are filled with the light of acknowledgment and if anyone pokes at them all I have to say is, Yes that is there and I'm dealing with it. I don't know about anyone else, but this works for me! One of the many things I dislike about politics are there are so many people who have so many skeletons in their closets that anyone who disagrees with them can just poke and prod around until they find something juicy and the allegations and denials soon fly everywhere and everybody and their brother comes out of the woodwork for something that could have been defused at the first if the person was open and honest.

  4. Of course we are not to hold grudges. Forgiveness for the believer is mandatory. We are required to forgive. Forgiveness is not about the person we forgive but about us. When we forgive we are freed up from bitterness and all the things that can hold us and sour our relationship with God.

  6. "We all have reasons to hold grudges. People wrong us. Situations hurt us. Even God does not always do what we think He should do, so we get angry. We hold offenses against those who have wronged us, and often against God who we think should have done things differently. A grudge is nothing more than a refusal to forgive. So, since this tendency is inherent in all of us and seemingly unavoidable, what does the Bible say about it?" We all have reasons to hold grudges. I don't. People wrong us. Not really. Situations hurt us. Nah, people are people is all. Even God does not always do what we think He should do, so we get angry. I sure don't! We hold offenses against those who have wronged us, and often against God who we think should have done things differently. No and no! A grudge is nothing more than a refusal to forgive. If you say so I can't say one way or another. So, since this tendency is inherent in all of us and seemingly unavoidable, _ Whoa, inherent? I don't think so. What does the Bible say about it ? My Bible writes of my forgiving, as I too are forgiven by God. Such stuff doesn't even come up, especially if I don't hold anyone to any standard I might try to set for myself to obtain. But truth there is that I don't hold a grudge against myself either- it is just a non issue. After all nobody promised me fair. That was th emessage I learned and have retained from a sign above the pass through window to a college math profeesers exam results pile. It read "NOBODY PROMISED YOU FAIR" IN OTHERS WORDS DON'T GO AROUND SAYING THAT'S NOT FAIR, and there won't be reason to be acquiring a taste for grudge holding. "It's" all like water off a duck's back let it go. Avoid suffering Festinger's Theory of Cognitive Dissonance, by not seeking that which only conforms what is already believed to be so. Expect less so to be pleasantly surprised when there is more. And, count it all for gain. Praise God! He is the awesome God. Oh, and please don't hold a grudge against me for thinking a bit differently on the subject

  9. More backpedaling. It sounds to me like the vote was firmly against the report, but a few clerics, not willing to bear any criticism have made the spurious claim of being baffled by the buttons. Life is easy when you can vote one way, then suggest that you may have voted another if you hadn't been confused.

  10. Very wise answer. It's just not about loving them, petting, snuggling with them. It about responsibility. Young people who work all day and are not home should not have pets. It's not fair to the pet, being along all day is no fun, then when they do something wrong, the pet get's the blame. You need to teach them just you would teach a child. I just got a new puppy, not on purpose, He was left in a parking lot and now he is with Max is his name. He needs work and he will get it. I"m very careful about the shots. He has had his second set of shots and in two weeks he will get his third and final shot for Parvo and Distemper. At six months it will be Rabies. In the meantime he will be neutered. Yes I believe is neutering and spaying. Ask yourself do you have the time to spend with your new pet. I hope you have a good life with your new companion should you choose to get one.

  11. What did JESUS say ? That GOD is the GOD of the dead ? (Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) No. YHWH is ELOHIM of the living ! (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) But neither the soul-sleepers, nor the anti-soul-sleepers, seems to understand or consider concerning this that YHWH does not live confined by time, nor is HIS KINGDOM restricted by time nor in time. When a person dies, as SCRIPTURE says, they can do nothing. (this cannot be broken and is truth). Yet time means nothing to those who have slept. When anyone is resurrected, to them it is as if in the blink of an eye. No surprise there. Nothing contrary to any part of YHWH'S WORD.

  13. Im breaking my silence for this ... Its media hype. Few mcdonalds shut down. Very few. In my area, which has a lot of illegals, like sparrows they are everywhere, no one noticed ANY difference. Even the lawn care people were out today and they are ALL illegals. No one cared enough here to protest except one woman who owned 3 mexican restaurants and wanted to make a statement. Thats it. Back to keeping to chat and not hanging out here.

  19. Hello Churchmouse thank you for your reply. Over the past 2 years I have started to limit my contact with my mother in law more and more. Manly because she just makes me mad. My husband and I get into disagreements about it because she will call and want us to come over to her house and I don't want to go. Sometimes it is okay but most of the time you just never know. I am starting to understand that what she is doing to me is a form of abuse. Emotional abuse but still abuse. I wouldn't put up with someone who physically abuse me so why would I put up with someone who is emotionally abusing me. Anyway I have much to consider and will seek God's guidance on this matter.

  23. Thanks Morning Glory. We had another thing hit - and I experienced fear. I've been 'taking every thought captive'. Please keep praying for us. My adult daughter is having a struggle with trying to keep her son's father from invading his life. Please pray! His father is not good to have around my grandson. He is a liar - one of the worst I've come across. He remarried a woman on drugs, and she did vile things in front of my grandson. We went before a judge, and he is not good. My grandson is doing well, and his father will disrupt his life. He is bad news. He assaulted my daughter and me, yet the judge is forcing her to bring my grandson to the court for his father to see him. He has not paid child support for 9 years, and the judge said it doesn't matter. My husband & I are sick over it. I have been going before God repeatedly.

  26. Blessings Churchmouse I'm sure many will come & say" The dead don't come here as ghosts etc,,,,," But I don't look at things that way.....Where a person is in their walk or unbelief can be an opportunity for Gods Heavenly Angels to Comfort or Encourage,,,,,if they ever came to us in their real appearance or form we would most likely be terrified, run for the hills or hide......I certainly don't believe in "ghosts" & before I had the Wisdom * Understanding I do in this day ,I didn't at one time & I saw many apparitions, some of God& others not......I know which were "of God" because the message they brought saved my life....an Angel appeared as someone I loved that died,I was awakened from a dead sleep & saw him standing there,I was unafraid & simply listened & followed his instruction.....did the Angel of God LIE to me,? LOL,No,not at all,he just knew I would "listen" & move quickly from danger in that manifestation appearance.................So,did this "person" say"I am the spirit ofa little girl named Megan that died.....No,he didn't ...He said "Call me Megan" ..........this can be either an Angel of God or maybe not, much more info is needed ,,,,,like why was this info given to tell the parents,,,,,,,we cannot discern from 17 minutes of a story...... Anyway, its my 2 cents With love-in Christ,Kwik

  27. Dozens of times.. Through the Occult I practiced I am kind of a magnet. (after I got saved) I used to get nightmares so bad I wouldnt want to go to sleep. Once I was woke up by a ugly witch looking thing over me saying that I will die. (That was the first time after I got saved that I literally had the courage to get up against things like THAT) and I sat up looking right into the eyes saying " THAT is on God to decide, not you! Get out in Jesus name!! And dont you come back!" and like hit with a bolt it was gone and never came back since.. And Im still alive hehe I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord!!

Same tv on off, things in hallway, on wall I prayed alot and thats where I stopped all occult activity. A neughbour had problems things moving, falling, i sprinkled water prayed job done. Never got back. But it was all through faith and by being close to The Lord. Yes fear. He cant get in if you dont fear him. (Unless you have the wrong stuff)

  29. Youre right kwik, dear sister, so right this is exactly how it is. When I start to glide away from The Lord when I did I could also litterally feel the power of The Lord slip away. Sad to say as God had told ne you have to be HOLY and close to me if youre gonna do this or evil will get ya! Thats why some have no power! And John Todd a forner high illuminati witch agrees in the information hes spread. But foremost The Lord does. I didnt knew it it was The Lord that told me. Thats why we have to clear out sin.

  32. Ha, -and Hi, A personal opinion: I have a cat, not any cat but "Cookie" a ferral Tabby cat. Not being a cat person at all, but having a cat, a wilder cat that loves me is my fate. Hey what can I say? Even wilder cats love me, a plague that is is mine to bear. I am a lover of dogs, if I am to have a pet. My new bride however came with a cat. A compensating value is she also came with a pick up truck. Really, I met my bride on a Christian Message board- long story- neither of us were seeking company of that sort. She has a pick up truck,- and a cat. The plan was that my bride was to leave her cat behind with a friend out in the countryside and come marry me, knowing I have allergies, and that I just plain don't like cats. But there she was meeting me after I flew out to help her drive here, with her pick up truck, and a little case a carrier-ohoh, a cat in the carrier. What to do? I knew immediately, she could not part with her cat. So I too have a cat. And the skittish wild cat from a wilderness place just beyond the edge of earth, out in the far country, now treasures living in the city with us. Cookie the wild cat is part billy goat, loves high places, not something I appreciate. She bounds places, never walks. But she loves me and approaches with caution, makes sure I see her about to bound, and then if I place a lap blanket on me she bounds and sleeps on my lap. I do hate cats. They bound, they have hair, they stuff up my nose, and they love me. And yes she visits us at night, I used to hear a little tap tap tap and then a soft landing as she lighted herself onto the foot of the bed. I knocked her off once, but she pouted all the next day. So I gave in. I do hate cats. Now at night I hear the window shade rustle, and then the high boy dresser chatter, and then bam there is a crash onto the bed and the lampshade rocks back and forth having suffered the cat brushing by in mid air. And there she is- announcing, hey I'm here too, when did you go to bed? As she balls up at my feet declaring that as her turf. I do hate cats, can't advise ever having one. Close as I ever came before was to have a wild cat at my front door. It was cold, she was hungry, I made a bed on the porch fed it and got a heating pad for it put it under the blanket, found cardboard box to break the breezes and dampness. An act of temporary kindness only. I named her Miss Kitty- from Gunsmoke. Turned out ot be a mistake, seems she was Mr. Cat. None the less Mr. Cat remained named Miss kitty. The cat it stayed for fourteen years. I thought it would never die. Fourteen years that cat demanded bed and board, but never once was a tender pet, just a wild thing, that occasionally left me a mouse or squirrel, as payment. So cats? I don't know, for others I have no opinion I guess. Oh, for a few hours I had a third cat. Cookie had gone out for the first time at my house and disappeared. We looked and looked. My bride, saddened and worried, finally had to go out for a bit on an errand while I kept an eye out for the cat. And it appeared. It was wary of me, but my magnetism prevailed and it came inside. I fed it, and phoned my new bride with, "Hey I got the cat back inside!" She was happy, ever so happy and thankful. She was until she got home and saw the cat. She said, "That's not my cat!" Ooops, and saying, "Well okay, but all cats look pretty much alike wasn't yours kinda gray too" wasn't the best tactical move either. I quickly became educated to the fact that was a male Tom cat not a petite tabby girl cat. Then I had to get my new "friend" the strange cat out of the house. Turned out Cookie was inside all the time, had evidently got past us when we were outside with the door open and then evidently hiding out much of the time after I had let another cat into the house. That's about all I know about cats. Except that fleas are the reason most apartment management will not allow them. It is very costly to get rid of an apartment full of fleas when the tenant just up and leaves in the night. Used to cost me about $700 and ten days loss of use of the apartment for rent. plus often there was carpet damage.

  33. yes i agree, however if like me you had no one to talk to or turn to for that matter then i can assure you it doesnt just go away. just wishing it away or ignoring it doesnt work. i went and saw a vicar which was totally off the wall for me as i was an atheist at the time and a very scathing one at that. i dont ever talk about it in full detail as yes its not good but to ignore it.. and back then i wasnt a christian and just recently only yesterday something happened in my parents house again and like i did several decades ago i am asking for help and advice and reassurance. which you cant do if you ignore it. i will be looking at scripture but i need guidance to to help me chart through it as this time it involves my family.

  37. The enemy does his best to instill FEAR......tactics,all tactics, whether he manifests to a visual entity or uses ac physical being, there is one agenda,to steal, kill & destroy by whatever means possible ......the things we speak about are very common, the enemy is just as much rampant s he always was from the beginning & if he cannot dp physical harm through someone(steal, kill destroy) ,he will do it through emotions ,mental etc........steal Joy,kill hope, destroy FAITH The biggest problem I see is not the obviously possessed or the demon manifestations & appearances etc,,,, but the very insidious & subtle oppression of ....who else,Christians!!!and their failure to RECOGNIZE the relentless ,constant, feeble attempts that are actually quite succcessful because of the ignorance within the church & I do mean the church,Body of Christ I hear more Christians say things like "Well, just put on Gods Full Armor" & Resist the devil & he will flee" and yet if you are not walking in Spirit & in Truth ,going through most of the day with a carnal mind & not constantly feeding your Spirit with the Word of God,,,,,well, those are just words without operating in Holy Spirit Power Gods Word says "My people are DESTROYED by lack of knowledge" That was Gods charge against Israel for disobedience,as Written in the Book of Hosea.......Jesus said "IF YOU LOVE ME,you will obey my commands"......we are obedient to Christ command to first love god,no other & then our neighbor as ourselves,,,,,,the Law of Love,in Spirit & in Truth this is Faith activated....Holy Spirit Power!!!!Going through the motions, speaking words from a carnal mind & not living according to the Purpose of our Calling.....to "reproduce",spread the Gospel, live FOR CHRIST.....leads to a live wit no POWER,no AUTHORITY............................vulnerable & susceptible to the wiles of the devil, the fiery darts of the enemy........ So,as I was saying,,,,,I believe the greatest accomplishment if the enemy is to convince people he is no threat, not in their own life, non existent....meanwhile the folks that pay hi the least attention are doing most of his work in subtle little ways,,,,passive aggression, snippy little argumentative remarks, unkindness, lack of compassion, idle words, unedifying conversation, pot stirring, false reports,gossip.....the little foxes that spoil the vine........ Pray without ceasing, feed the Spirit, read His Word, praise, worship, spread the Gospel,go about our Fathers Business & put away the things of this world......make GOD FIRST.....be alert, seek Wisdom......always ask God to Reveal to us our own hearts, what am I doing to live FOR CHRIST? With love-in Christ,Kwik

  38. Things that happened to me make no sense either. I feel God very close but wish He would grant us relief. I don't doubt we're being attacked. Sometimes an event will take you off guard until you realize it's an attack. Can you please pray for my family & I? We have been hit terribly and I'm weary. I hope you do okay as well. It makes you think maybe the end is coming because the evil one knows "his time is short..."

  42. I have had some weird experiences. Years ago when I was studying the bible online with a mentor via Yahoo Messenger we would have messages pop up using our IDs while we were chatting. Sometimes they would appear on one end but not the other which is normally impossible. They would also appear when we would sometimes play games on the old Yahoo gaming parlours, in the private games rooms, which my mentor (an experienced hacker) told me is impossible. Then when we would save out notes on Yahoo messenger to refer to them later, any such messages would disappear. Again according to my friend is equally impossible. One night I had this dream (at least I think it was a dream, might have been a vision cuz I am not totally sure if I was asleep) where I was surrounded by choking blackness, the kind where you literally cant see your hand in front of your nose. I hear the name of Lucifer whispered all around me. Then I really did wake up and saw a black....something....passing over my body. Scared the crap out of me.

  44. Yes, I've seen demons...twice. I've told this story here before but not since you've been here. Several years ago, after I was saved, I was typing an email here in my computer room and I glanced up into a mirror over the computer and saw a small, black figure standing behind me. But there is no mirror over my computer and there never has been. Very unsettling. The next time I saw one was when I was getting ready to get into bed and looked out my bedroom door as a black, nebulous entity floated by my door; I didn't see a face but I sensed one as it looked into the bedroom and continued on down the hall; I'd liken the thing to ink floating in water. Yes, in both instances I invoked the name of Jesus and prayed the power of His blood over my home. I should have been terrified but I wasn't and I still don't know why. They don't oppress me because I know that they can't be where Jesus lives. Now you know. I pray that you never encounter one of them.
