  1. Blessings.... Thousands of years ago a very special people were hand picked by God & H e Called then His Chosen ones.....The Hebrew people were given the very Word of God with very specific instruction ,these instructions were a list of do's & do nots......they were so full of WISDOM far beyond human comprehension, only recently have men realized that the dietary laws for humans described in these Holy Scriptures are perfect to keep ones body healthy & functioning as best as it possibly can in every way........God did not give man a set of daily instruction without very good Reason, for our best interests, because He Loves His children...... We have seen many replies here that are wonderful, well thought out answers.....covering many reasons why we should not defile the Temple of God,we understand the pagan origins of this practice,we understand that it was a "do not".......& now let us consider Gods Infinite Wisdom that once again, only recently have men realized that this method of "decorating" ones body has had terrible consequences, like Hepatitis C for one, tattoos having been one of the ways to contract the disease......God Knew these things before the thought ever entered mans mind......it just Amazes me how our Loving Father never leaves any stone unturned in our Daily Life Instriction Book...............His Word,to God be the Glory! 3. Demons came from the sexual union of fallen angels and women in the times before the great flood, in accordance with the passage of Genesis that the "sons of God came in to the daughters of men". The giants that the women bore, then became demons when they died, and were cursed to roam the earth as foul spirits. Unlike fallen angels, demons try to live in human bodies. Although not part of the canon, the Book of Enoch is an interesting read.

  5. Our pastor has Lev 19:28 tattooed on the inside of his forearm Every time he holds his arm out it is visible. I have mixed feelings about it. On the one hand he has put it on his arm to start a conversation about how we are not under the law any more. It is intended to lead a discussion ultimately to "we are forgiven" I get what he is getting at and he is using that as one of his tools to create an opportunity to share the gospel. He has a conversation all ready to move that along and it works well ..............for him. On the other hand I read how Paul describes in both his letter to the Romans and the Corinthians about how we are no longer under the law and that if we want to eat meat offered to idols go ahead because it is only food and we have a strong enough faith to realize that. Our pastor having that tattoo gets that, but here is the rub for me.....Paul in his letters also says that not all of us have a strong enough faith to realize that the food is only food and not sinning by taking part in offering sacrifice to false gods. But because there is a chance Paul may lead someone who doesn't understand that astray, due to their weaker faith....he won't eat it. He doesn't want to take the chance......Our pastor has an explanation down pat, but what about those in the congregation that have to explain to others or even understand why he is "breaking the law".What about those that simply think "hey the pastors breaking the rule so I can too"..... I think the pastor, by his actions and inability to explain to everyone that sees his tattoo, particularly from afar, is confusing some people and possibly inadvertently leading some people, in their own hearts, into sin. I have to agree with the post that asks "why the tattoo?" I don't have one because I'm of the opinion that it is to draw attention to oneself. It's almost always....even to great fan fare "revealed". Still ......some of it is real cool and I have often started a conversation by asking someone about their tattoo.

  6. YHWH did the end of the first week. Multitudes of Jews and gentile believers , following JESUS , have since the first century. You can be legalistic if you want to be, but it won't stop those who are following JESUS - they will honor YHWH'S WORD and YHWH'S SABBATH as they always do.

  8. All of Isaiah 58 is important and fits perfectly together. Fasting that Pleases God 58 “Cry aloud, spare not; Lift up your voice like a trumpet; Tell My people their transgression, And the house of Jacob their sins. 2 Yet they seek Me daily, And delight to know My ways, As a nation that did righteousness, And did not forsake the ordinance of their God. They ask of Me the ordinances of justice; They take delight in approaching God. 3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and You have not seen? Why have we afflicted our souls, and You take no notice?’ “In fact, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, And exploit all your laborers. 4 Indeed you fast for strife and debate, And to strike with the fist of wickedness. You will not fast as you do this day, To make your voice heard on high. 5 Is it a fast that I have chosen, A day for a man to afflict his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a bulrush, And to spread out sackcloth and ashes? Would you call this a fast, And an acceptable day to the Lord? 6 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? 7 Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? 8 Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard. 9 Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away the yoke from your midst, The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness, 10 If you extend your soul to the hungry And satisfy the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. 11 The Lord will guide you continually, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail. 12 Those from among you Shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; And you shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. 13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, 14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken.”

  9. THUS also YHWH says "RAISE up a son in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not depart from it". Finding parents who raise their children right is very precious, rare, a beauty to see. Their children do not lie, nor harm others, nor steal, nor do drugs, nor get involved in sex, drugs and crime by the time they are 12 years old, or teens. They seek and serve the ONE TRUE YHWH, CREATOR, FAITHFULLY IN Y'SHUA MESSIAH, trusting and relying on HIM.

  12. Blessings Banky Welcome to Worthy.....this is a difficult question to answer as far as "Will I be free from her after confessing & IS IT SIN"......God has Convicted your heart so you already know that your motives were definitely "wrong" in the first place, besides it being totally "illegal" it was just the wrong thing to do,marrying someone to be eligible for a green card application is in no way justifiable, imo My husband is not an American & we are working very hard to go about the whole "move" as it should be done, legally ...it's not easy but we simply TRUST GOD......I think that's where the problem lies, often times we take matters into our own hands & then we feel bad about what we have chosen to do when we could have just placed our hearts desire before God & be STILL & wait in HIM,what is His Will for us... Having said that I do agree with you it is time to set the record straight.....we are Christians, that Precious Blood of the Lamb has afforded us Gods Blessed Assurance that we ARE Forgiven....God Knows your heart, repent & sit down with "her" and ask her forgiveness, she did know why you got married, didn't she? That is why I find this difficult to answer, you have not really said whether she was in on your plan or not? In any event she does deserve your sincerity & apology....whether or not you will be FREE of her,I can't answer that,I think it depends on what she decides to do & whether or not she was merely a pawn in your game or part of the scheme to immigrate?A woman scorned is no joke,is she a Christian too?Did the Pastor know your real reason for wanting to marry...there are quite a few variables in the equation.did you dupe everyone? Yes,Brother,,,it is time to confess,no matter the consequence and the Good News is that we know you have made quite a mess f or yourself & STILL,God Will Strengthen you to get through it all simply because He Loves you......what you will be FREE of is that guilt that is heavy on your heart.....now this time, pray for Gods Direction,Wisdom & Understanding & FOLLOW His Lead,,,,,,,praying for you,go in Peace With love-in Christ,Kwik

  13. I sure like that answer. for this reason: Romans 14English Standard Version (ESV) Do Not Pass Judgment on One Another 14 As for the one who is weak in faith, welcome him, but not to quarrel over opinions. 2 One person believes he may eat anything, while the weak person eats only vegetables. 3 Let not the one who eats despise the one who abstains, and let not the one who abstains pass judgment on the one who eats, for God has welcomed him. 4 Who are you to pass judgment on the servant of another? It is before his own master[a] that he stands or falls. And he will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make him stand. 5 One person esteems one day as better than another, while another esteems all days alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind. 6 The one who observes the day, observes it in honor of the Lord. The one who eats, eats in honor of the Lord, since he gives thanks to God, while the one who abstains, abstains in honor of the Lord and gives thanks to God. 7 For none of us lives to himself, and none of us dies to himself. 8 For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's. 9 For to this end Christ died and lived again, that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living. 10 Why do you pass judgment on your brother? Or you, why do you despise your brother? For we will all stand before the judgment seat of God; 11 for it is written, “As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” 12 So then each of us will give an account of himself to God. For the above guidance I find I should not be judge of a tattoo of any kind upon a saint in Christ Jesus, nor any other person for that matter. They serve their master. It is to their master they give account, and not to me.

  16. No, he did not. Jesus fulfilled the law because we could not do so on our own. We were dead in our sins. Paul gives a great picture of fallen man in the first chapters of Romans. The redeemed have a new nature that does not *want* to violate God's law.

  17. I see those words as a declaration that Yowm is not perfect, as only one who is perfect can keep the laws. That was the reason for the laws, to prove to us, think headed humans, that they cannot be perfect.

  19. Matthew 22:34-40 But when the Pharisees heard that He had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together. Then one of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, and saying, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Your link seems to describe picking and choosing what laws you want to follow from a time when people did not have the Holy Spirit. We have Him now and He guides us. There is a difference between following His lead and trying to earn our way by following the letter of the law. Paul explained that the law kills while Jesus saves. There is no "fatal mistake" following the Holy Spirits lead through study and living. Following the law also declairs that if you break one of the laws, you break them all.

  21. Is this your work in the links? I have found it wise to never "lend" anything you cannot do without. In other words, I don't expect to be paid back. Luke 6:35-36 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.

They were the offspring of the 200 watcher angels that took wives of human females and they had lost their physical bodies in the flood. I don't know of any real way to prove that, but it has been my experience that when you invoke the name of Jesus they are afraid to lie to you.

  31. Exactly, which is why I asked the question. Since we are being made into His image, we must put the old man away and allow His new creation to grow. When we hold onto the old man, we hinder that process. Yes, we all have part of our old selves still ingrained in us, and it is a process to give it all up and place them at His feet, but if we do love Him as we all claim, that should be our goal.

  33. Excellent answer. For those who have tattoos it is also a good answer as God looks at the heart and what is inside not the outward person. Personally I do not have any tattoos as my grandfather a very wise man said it was something one should never do. I do have a grown son that got tattoos and as much as it disappointed me I still love him dearly and would not deny my love for him over it. 1Samuel 16:7 But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.

  37. You have asked a question for there is no scriptural answer. That means that there is no Bible verse that says He did not. However, Jesus was a Jew and followed all the Jewish traditions of faith. As a matter of growing up as a Jewish boy, he would have been required to memorize the first 5 books of the Hebrew Bible (also called the Torah), generally believed to be Genesis, Exodus. Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Numbers (all written by Moses). Since the laws were all contained in these 5 books, Jesus would have read and studied the one about tattoos. One other thing needs to be noted here. Jesus' mission in life was to be the sacrificial lamb for the sins of all mankind. Hebrew tradition says that a sacrifice for sin must be perfect, without blemish. I believe (my opinion) is that Jesus did NOT have any tattoos or other markings on His body because the Bible says in Hebrews that He was tempted in ALL ways like we are, yet without sin. When I was in the Navy, I was temped to get a tattoo. But I resisted because in those days nearly all the tattoos were black and green and involved snakes, skulls, MOM and other UGLY stuff. So my resistance was not spiritual at all. Personally, even though I have seen many tattoo masterpieces, my question is why? If you decorate your body, who is really getting the glory? Even if you cover yourself with Jesus tattoos, you are still drawing attention to YOUR body. I would only do that if I knew absolutely that was how God wanted me to witness. Of greater beauty are those rare Christians who have love, joy, peace, patience....etc. you know, the fruits of the Spirit. These flow from the inside out and are more miraculous and beautiful because they are exhibited even in the midst of great trial and tribulation, when people need to experience the "real" Jesus and not a 2-D beautiful tattoo. What God has highlighted in your heart is a desire to represent Him. You are a treasure to God and He wants you to be pure, powerful, prophic, peaceful and proactive in reaching lost and hurting souls for Jesus!!! Blessings

  38. Yes. The same question was posted here: And the basic answer is, yes. Here's a part of the answer from the other thread: "We are not to suppose that the Pharisees had become the friends of Paul or of Christianity. The true solution of their conduct doubtless is, that they were so inflamed with hatred against the Sadducees that they were willing to make use of any argument against their doctrine. As the testimony of Paul might be turned to their account, they were willing to vindicate him. It is remarkable, too, that they perverted the statement of Paul in order to oppose the Sadducees. Paul had stated distinctly Acts 22:17-18 that he had been commanded to go by the Lord, meaning the Lord Jesus. He had said nothing of "a spirit or an angel." Yet they would unite with the Sadducees so far as to maintain that he had received no such command from the Lord Jesus. But they might easily vary his statements, and suppose that an "angel or a spirit" had spoken to him, and thus make use of his conduct as an argument against the Sadducees. Men are not always very careful about the exact correctness of their statements when they wish to humble a rival." from: http://biblehub.com/commentaries/acts/23-9.htm They, being enemies of the cross, would not admit the TRUTH. (that Y'SHUA MESSIAH had taught Paul)

  39. This tattoo question comes up a whole bunch of times in here. I think that the standard answer should be what No124 has posted. I never heard of it addressed in that way before. Simple & straightforward. Now there is the question about Temporary Tattoos. Once in a while, mid summer, when I go with my grand kids to a certain water park, they offer those temp styles. I have gotten one that said USMC and was real proud of it and even protected it by not washing it during a shower. When it did begin to fade, I just scrubbed it off entirely, because I didn't want to dishonor the Corps by not having it at full glory. So this was proof to me that tattoos can be self indulgent, because when I was stand in lines to go on a ride, I wanted everyone to know that I was a Marine.

  43. People in the OLD TESTAMENT sometimes sinned without knowing they sinned. There were instructions given by YHWH in TORAH for that case also --- as soon as someone finds out or is made aware that they sinned , they are instructed to repent of it. Some people may get a tattoo either before they are saved, or afterwards, but before realizing it is rebellion against JESUS. Then, later, when they find out it is sin, they can repent of it, as YHWH'S WORD directs.

I needed help seeing myself so I had to invite a spiritual adviser into take a look at me with me. It was hard but necessary.
