  2. A second simple question, built on 1 Corinthians 13 & 1 John 4 1 Corinthians 13 - New American Standard Bible (NASB) The Excellence of Love 13 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 2 If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 3 And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body [a]to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 4 Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant, 5 does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;7 [b]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails; but if there are gifts of [c]prophecy, they will be done away; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be done away. 9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part;10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will be done away. 11 When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I [d]became a man, I did away with childish things. 12 For now we see in a mirror [e]dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I will know fully just as I also have been fully known.13 But now faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the [f]greatest of these is love. And 1 John 4: 7-21 - New American Standard Bible (NASB) God Is Love 7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is [a]born of God and knows God. 8 The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. 9 By this the love of God was manifested [b]in us, that God has sent His [c]only begotten Son into the world so that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has seen God at any time; if we love one another, God abides in us, and His love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in Him and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit. 14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son to be the Savior of the world. 15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has [d]for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear [e]involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. 19 We love, because He first loved us. 20 If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen. 21 And this commandment we have from Him, that the one who loves God should love his brother also. These two verses made sense of everything. I do not know God's love. I spoke faith in Christ on the cross, and believed INTELLECTUALLY, but my heart is wrenched with black tar, and I have no love. Some of you have come to know me...I have come across as downright tyranical and insensitive. How do I let God's love in? I do not know how.

  3. To the members of the forum. For the last few months I have been living a lie on this forum, being someone that I was not. Through a series of events that show the amazing workings of Lord and Savior, things took place and I have spoken with the mods of the board and after some resistance from me, I have admitted that I am the poster once known and Running Gator and was using the name Out of the Shadows. Through what can only be described as an amazing show of Christian love and understand they have allowed me to come clean and remain a member of the board. For that I am deeply grateful. I have learned a valuable lesson, one that we all know deep down inside but sometime need a humbling reminder. That lesson is that one lie leads to another which leads to another and it become a snowball rolling out of control. I would like to apologize first for misleading people and also for my actions under the guise of OOTS. I said many mean and hurtful things that were not warranted and I do those whom I did this to will find it in their hearts to forgive me. I am not proud of my actions nor the way that I was treating people. I let things get the better or me and there is nobody to blame but myself. I make this public pledge also, that I will from this point on do my very best not to be the person that I was on this forum but to be a supportive and understanding member. While my political views have not changed, I will no longer be an antagonist while expressing them. I cannot undo the last few months, I can only move forward and hope and pray that my actions will show that this is more than just a change of my name, but also a change of my heart. For those that were so supportive of me even when I was being a jerk, thank you so very much. To those I was a jerk to, I sincerely apologize. In Christ's Love, Jeff

  4. Blessings In this Christian Ministry,as in any other is where you will find the enemy, where else would he go? ....to a satan worshipping club,he already has them!! Its not always the tares we have to pray Discernment for.....they are not so difficult to see and those pop up& get pulled out or as Shiloh says"they come & they go" The enemy is subtle, insidious and relentless.....he roams about like a lion ,seeking who you MAY devour....his favorite prey, the Christian.....I'm not talking about the "people" who come against us here,I'm talking about the one enemy, the one that makes every attempt to steal, kill & destroy by putting thoughts in the Brother & Sister who is completely unaware and being used constantly but does not recognize principalities, powers, rulers of the darkness of this world, spiritual wickedness in high places.(the devils playground-the mind/thoughts) Its pretty easy to recognize the enemy in others, how about ourselves? When somebody says something less than loving,kind,gentle.....how do you respond? Do you "re-act" or do you reply? Who do you think gave you that quick, snippy remark in your mind to come back with, the one that was really below the belt? And out the mouth it plopped!!!! Resist the devil & he will fee ...take captive every thought, renew the mind...... Just thought I might add that.......Ephesians 6 With love-in Christ,Kwik

  5. Doubt is Satan's most used tool. If Satan can nudge us to doubt, the result, if we follow his lead, will be the loss of faith. Recognize doubt when it first pops its ugly head out and turn from it. When you do turn, watch carefully where you are turning to as Satan also has other ways to turn you from God. The best advice I can think of right now is to accept where you are and give who you are to God and, with a full heart, ask Him to change you. There are so many scripture that speak of a new creation we become in Him and how the condition of our heart guides us. Spend some time in a topic study to learn more about this and His words will not return to Him void. The Holy Spirit is waiting to change you from the inside out. All we have to do is allow Him to do His will in our lives and then give Him the glory when we realize how much we change.

  9. Hi, I love that you brought that up! For it triggered a fond memory of a time with the man I just now got off the phone with, my uncle, a fine bond-servant in so many ways. He long ago said what follows below to me in response to a serious conversation we were having about business, and of a man that was our enemy, but who my uncle considered to be friend. I had just warned him not to share of our business much information with this adversary that we were about to meet with, for he is not truly a friend to my uncle at all, but instead means us much harm. My uncle's response was: I may not be his friend, but He is mine. I learned over some time from that to be a friend to all and that it is not necessary for anyone to be a friend back. And this enemy? He did us great harm. He is now long dead, as also is the consequence of the serious damage he did us. In retrospect I see that it was all temporary; and in God's plan for our life. It is now kinda easy, once I do not demand reciprocation as a condition of being someone's friend, to be a friend to most anyone and everyone. And as to that particular enemy, may God have found him to have known Jesus as his Lord at the time of his death from the cancer that killed him. It was hard for me to learn, but I have since forgiven that man, and hope that he forgave me any grief that I may have caused him too. I even now enjoy the experience of that lesson I went through. It was an e ticket ride at great expense of time and money, but it shaped much of my life and in part led to my present service and circumstance under my Lord's employ as His bond-servant. Praise God for His long suffering patience till we learn the lessons He teaches.

  10. I have gone to several different churches. I was never embraced like a member of the "church family". Yes people were nice and would shake hands but there were a lot of cliques. I do not like cliques. The last church I attended was my favorite and even though I volunteered to be on several committees and serve their church they made me feel like an outsider. This turned me off. It seemed like those who had attended the church from the time it was first organized were the real family of the church and the newer ones were outsiders. The fact that a member had to have an "interview" to become a member of that church turned me off as well. I am sure that many have a church that they love and are embraced as a family member of that church and they are very loyal to that church. I have not found that. I have a friend that I pray with who embraces me as a sister in Christ. I am happy with that.

  11. Brother,We are to forgive those that ask forgiveness. Its is our obligation to forgive you just as God has forgiven us. Amongst the body of believers we are to find Love,Truth,Forgiveness, Patience, ect ect. You should expect nothing less. Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. 12. I love Joe's answer, "pray". Ask. There are many scriptures that command us to love. My understanding of what I was taught, was that love is a feeling. So is God commanding us how to feel or is there a better definition of what love is? How do you let God's love in? First, go to the source, as you are doing already. Read God's words, apply God's definition of love, meditate on what scripture is telling you, and apply it to your life. Ask God to show you. God bless you, my friend,

  15. For one thing, you need to acknowledge the fact that God's love is already working in your life. There are things you have in your life for which you should be grateful. Did you wake up this morning? Did you have enough food? Were you employed still? How about a roof over your head, and clothes on your back? These are just the basics, yet how many do not have them across the world? Start by praising God each day for what He provides. That doesn't mean you can't ask or hope for more, but don't let dissatisfaction with some things keep you from praising Him for what you do have. So realize that God's love has been surrounding you, even though you were unworthy of it. Doing so makes it easier to love Him in return. And it's a choice, by the way; many times we have to take action first. We have to build "healthy" habits in our lives and hearts. Love God and love others even if you don't feel it, and soon you will build that habit. Do your way into feeling. We don't always have to just suddenly feel something before we take action. Make a choice to live in love and display that same love to others, and soon it will become natural as your heart and mind changes. There is no great musician, painter, dancer, actor, athlete etc. who got that way without years and years of practice first.

  17. I don't know who you are and I was not around during the political discussions, but I am always impressed when people show humility and remorse for errors made. I would like to think the Holy Spirit is doing his job- convicting us so we can lead a righteous life, like our Savior. And of course, we all sin, so you are not alone on that front. So my friend, thanks for encouraging me here through your humility. Cheers Spock

What you've done is from the sound of it entered into a legal contract, the marriage license, with the express purpose to defraud. My sympathies lay with your wife.

Though we have the holy spirit inside us that does not mean Satan and his intentions do not try to lead our mind toward fear. I hope that article helps you Sight.

  22. It took a very long time from the first time that God said that Abraham and Sarah would have a child to the time they actually did. 25 years. Twenty. five. years! Most people - even the faithful ones - aren't good with patience. And both Abraham AND Sarah had ideas about how to help God out with his plans. Abraham wanted to use his faithful servant as his heir. He even went to God about it and told him "let's use this guy". God said no. [He even later said to God - let's use Ishmael.] God said the heir would come from his own body which by the time God was ready for Isaac to be conceived - was impotent. So says Hebrews 11. Sarah, too, was "past the time of women" and her plan was to use her handmaiden. Since God has told Abraham the heir would come from his own body - he agreed to the plan. Sarah could not conceive. So, it made sense to Abraham. Ergo, Ishmael was born. It's not that Abraham and Sarah didn't have faith in God to believe him about an heir - they just couldn't wrap their heads around a miracle for them both and made human plans to bring God's plans to fruition [no pun intended]. Abraham laughed at their both being unable to bear children in Genesis 17. In Genesis 18, Sarah laughs at the same thing. Ergo, the son of the promise is named "laughter" - Isaac. It wasn't a lack of faith. It was trying to help God out - and we all do that from time to time.

  29. I think Abraham's story is something that speaks to me at least as that which warns what happens when we grow impatient with God's timetable for our life. I do believe God used it all for furtherance of his intentions for this world. And for Abraham and his future as well. Did you notice also that none of God's chosen men of prophecy and destiny were perfect? They all had their human flaws. And yet God used them to further his kingdom. When we think we're not good enough that's a great reminder that we are able to serve God and his purpose.

  32. Nothing has changed in his faith. Had he joined Greek Orthodox church he would have said so. Had he been Chrismated he would have said so. He has no idea what Daniella from Tel Aviv is speaking of when she gives the details of the article claiming he's joined the Greek Orthodox church, and that he's been Chrismated. The article because it has been overlooked, was published April 11th.Hank said he joined an Orthodox church over 2 years ago. I'll let those who have the eyes to see and the will to realize what that means. Now, on to the claims below. I'll highlight my replies in red so as to have no confusion as to what is being claimed and what is actually in the articles offered to further the claims against Hank H. I notice you ignore your other argument that he has left the Christian faith and the last part of what he stated to Daniella who called from Tel Aviv and asked Hank directly about the rumors circulating about his leaving the faith. He has not left the faith. He said that. No one has said any different. Contrary to the furtherance of the false claims that persist. Your own links prove you false. Let me help others here to realize. So, there is no question that he has converted and we can dispense with the all of he drama and accusing other posters of giving false witness. There's no question that Hank Hanegraaff being a member of an Orthodox church means that he's converted to Greek Orthodoxy. Hank Hanegraaff was asked specifically if he had been Chrismated. No, he hasn't. How do we know this? Because he had no idea what was being talked about when Daniella of Tel Aviv called his show on April 11th and asked him if he'd been Chrismated the day before. If he had been it would be obscene to go through all that is required to convert and then say he has no idea what that woman was speaking of. She even asked Hank if he had converted at the church the Pulpit and Pen article named. And Hank Hanegraaff had no idea what she was talking about there either. Had he been through this Chrismation just the day before, on Palm Sunday, that would be a little odd to have no idea what she's talking about when he was there. Hank on that April 11th show referred to Watchman Nee as his inspiration to grow deeper in his faith. Watchman Nee was a Chinese Christian Fundamentalist! Who was Martyred in a labor camp . Sent there to die when he was very old by the intolerant Communist Atheist government of China because Watchman spread the Gospel in China. Hank Hanegraaff reaffirmed his commitment to the Christian faith in that April 11th show, the mere Christianity, spoken of in a book by C.S. Lewis. Here's a helpful reminder to the Christians here who respect Hank Hanegraaff and do not attempt to second guess God and whom he calls to his bosom. Something I've noticed in researching your posts is a labor you attempt to do repeatedly on this forum. Call people in the public eyes faith into scrutiny while claiming they are not Christian. C.S. Lewis was not Greek Orthodox! Not even a little bit. Hank Hanegraaff stating repeatedly from April 11th until yesterday, that he affirms Mere Christianity, renounces the claim he has converted to Greek Orthodoxy. One can be a member of a church and not convert to the faith that church represents. Some people even believe attending a church makes them a member. Hank Hanegraaff was not Chrismated. Therefore any published article that claims he was is lying.

  37. Hello Sight; Simply put, restoration in Christ Jesus, begins the moment you begin to seek Him, ask Him for forgiveness, and sincerely desire with all your heart to want to know Him more and more. Restoration began with the sinner also dying on the cross next to Christ Jesus at Calvary, who asked Jesus to forgive him and Christ Jesus assured him that he would be with Him in Heaven. Christ Jesus forgave him and said from this day onwards, that he would be with Him. Restoration began with the women who was about to be stoned and Christ Jesus stood up and asked who among any is without sin, cast then the first stone, and because all knew they had sin in their hearts, they left and then the women thanked Christ Jesus asked Christ Jesus for forgiveness and Christ Jesus said :your sins are forgiven, now go and sin no more. Restoration begins when we desire from the heart to turn away from sin , our sinful life and begin living a daily relationship with God our Holy Father, through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus and the Holy Spirit of God living in our hearts once we ask for forgiveness and invite Him to come make His home in our hearts . That is when restoration begins It was by repentance and by faith in trusting that Christ IS who He said that He is, that began the restoration process within that man, that woman and any other coming to Him just as they are and asking to forgive and restored them back into the wholesome child of God that they where always intended to be. Our restorations begins with our very own personal relationship and walk with God through His Holy Plan of Mercy and Grace, through His only begotten Son Christ Jesus, through His Holy Spirit working in our hearts, once we repented and asked God to come make His home in our hearts, and through the reading of His WORD written in the Holy Bible. Through these we become, new creations, restored into His Grace. I have been restored step by step ( and its still a work in progress) by God working in my heart, body, soul by cleansing my heart at each step of the way that I seek to know Him and desire to get closer to Him. forgiving my soul and convicting my soul, my consciousness with His Christ consciousness now living inside of me as I keep in relationship to Him on a daily basis and continue to seek His will in my life everyday instead of choosing the ways of the world. Firstly I had to recognize that I am a sinner and in need of a help much greater than myself to be able to forgive me, change me, heal me. It is by coming to Him and beginning a conversation with Him , with sincerity of heart, that the process of restoration begins. through listening more and more to the Word of God, I began to understand more and more, many things about life and about what healthy wholesome living is all about. In order to get any help or restoration, I had to first open my heart, and look to God and ask Him for His Truth and ask Him about the Holy Bible and begin to believe that the God of the Holy Bible, IS the ONE TRUE GOD of ALL and that HE truly could help me be restored. This required from me a little bit of faith in believing that Christ Jesus IS who He said He IS and that the Holy Bible is the truth, the way, and the life that God intended for all of us to have. In Christ Jesus; 1 to3

  38. Blessings Sight Hello Brother! Actually those are 2 questions, right? The Word of God restores a person because THe 2nd question what is "required" for TRUE Restoration in Christ Jesus I believe the answer to that is not so much what is " required" of us but that true SUBMISSION /SURRENDER is what initiates or activates our Faith First comes "Faith" and that Faith is that we (as individuals) trust that Jesus has Fulfilled every "requirement" by His Finished work on the cross, that knowledge of WHO He is and then surrendering "self" to His Lordship He Will help us to RENEW our MINDS.....by the renewing of the mind we begin the process of not only restoration but a complete renewal,rebirth....New Creature in Christ Jesus... & thats just for starters, lol With love-in Christ,Kwik

Click onto and pull A little man on the right side and drop him on any blue line and you will be on street level looking at cars, people, homes. its great. Only some communist countries like North Korea don't have street level entry, just sky views. When downloaded, type in your destination, for example, Okinawa. Google earth will zoom in to the area, left click anywhere on the picture and move the scene up down, in out, around anywhere you like. Also if you have a wheel mouse you can zoom in closer, even to ground level. Right Click and hold on to the little man on the right side of the screen and pull him over the map. The streets will light up as blue lines. Drop the man on any of these lines and you will enter street level. From there you can, using your mouse turn the picture any way you prefer zooming in or out.

  45. The writer makes some good points here, yet I am sure that the US is already considering these points. Take the border as an example. If the US ever decided it is necessary to remove NK's ability to use nuclear weapons, I highly believe they would not just target the nuke sites, but any means of retaliation ability NK has, including wiping our their boarder weaponry so SK would suffer far less damage by bombardments. As for any missile NK could fire, they are slow enough to be intercepted by US anti-missile technology. That said, I am sure the US is not going in to start a fight, but to monitor NK's activities. It would be wise to be at the ready just in case NK does try to lob missiles into SK or even the task force. What I am more concerned about is if they do try testing more missiles in the direction of Japan, will the US shoot them down?

And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. And they heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to Adam and said to him, “Where are you?” So he said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; and I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you that you should not eat?” Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” And the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.” So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this, You are cursed more than all cattle, And more than every beast of the field; On your belly you shall go, And you shall eat dust All the days of your life. And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.” To the woman He said: “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; In pain you shall bring forth children; Your desire shall be for your husband, And he shall rule over you.” Then to Adam He said, “Because you have heeded the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree of which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat of it’: “Cursed is the ground for your sake; In toil you shall eat of it All the days of your life. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for you, And you shall eat the herb of the field. In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread Till you return to the ground, For out of it you were taken; For dust you are, And to dust you shall return.” And Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. Also for Adam and his wife the Lord God made tunics of skin, and clothed them. Then the Lord God said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. And now, lest he put out his hand and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever”— therefore the Lord God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground from which he was taken. So He drove out the man; and He placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to guard the way to the tree of life.
