  5. I have known good people who can't find a mate now entering their 50's. I have encountered people all my life that I would not seem likely to ever have a date let alone the families they have. I tend to think it has a lot to do with over expectation, and disingenuous representation of one's self for the purposes of "hooking a fish." In my case, I know God had everything to do with it. I was pretentious, I said and did things wrong, I literally stumbled across a vision of loveliness that millionaires desired... but she "fell" for a broke sailor who was so full of himself I can hardly admit today it was me. The one thing I remember doing right was (after many failed attempts by age 19 ←no kidding, I was consumed with finding Miss Right from a very early age), one day I said (before God) If I never meet Miss Right, I will live my life to the full... Praise God I met my beloved bride the very next day! I guess what I am trying to say is that every iteration of the "dating scene" for singles since time began all have one ting in common... people getting in the way of what God could do for them in that department. I simply got out of God's way and that was 37 years ago and still going strong! Praise God!

  6. 1 THES. 4 [13] But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye SORROW NOT, EVEN AS OTHERS which have no hope. [14] For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. [15] For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. [16] For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with THE VOICE of the archangel, and with THE TRUMP OF GOD: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: [17] Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them IN THE CLOUDS, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. [18] Wherefore comfort one another with these words. 1THES.4 – voice – clouds – trump of God – sorrow not as others - ZEPH. 1 – voice – clouds – the trumpet – man shall cry bitterly - ZEPH. 1 [14] The great DAY OF THE LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even THE VOICE of the day of the Lord: the mighty MAN SHALL CRY THERE BITTERLY. [15] That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a DAY OF CLOUDS and thick darkness, [16] A DAY OF THE TRUMPET and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers. [17] And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the Lord: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung. No doubt about it. Both scriptures are speaking of the same event. Both scriptures speak of what happens on the Day of the Lord. The Day of the Lord takes place AFTER the tribulation period

  8. Hi everyone, Way back when I was still unbeliever I do like secular music a lot. But when I become a Christian, I'm in love with Christian music and it has a great impact and connection to me. To the point, I no longer appreciate secular music today. Actually not only me who appreciate and love Christian music but also my sister, she said that she learn to love it because of my influence. I'm praying that she will be saved one day. I can see the Lord is working in her life right now. Acts 16: 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

  9. Ah the good old days, where have they gone? Where? They went onward to tomorrow if, I live today well. And if God grants me tomorrow. So when pensive melancholy visits today bringing forth the question of the old gang, the old times, the old things, I must remember; today is that same yesterday I wonder about today come tomorrow. So, I must live today well, enjoying the new people I meet, as much as seeing the old yet again if only in my memory, for I am not going to concede my day to dreaming the dreams of old men about yesterdays friends and events. I much prefer building up upon the visions of the young by doing something well today. And whatever I do, I must strive to attain that goal of doing all things well unto the glory of God. Whatever I do, I need to pray and work in order to do it well, including meeting new old friends. So hello! So glad to meet you today in this cyber way. May it be that we, each one, share of the abundance of blessing our Lord has laid out for each of us individually even in the shadow of the valley of death, that banquet of security the psalmist shared about with us as He gave his appreciation to God for them, in full confidence they are there, beside the still waters in the protection of the tall grasses. It is a grand day for another walk with the LORD via the guide the Holy Spirit. Praise my Lord Jesus for His making it so.

  10. After speaking to a family member about church, I found out that a lot of people don't read and study their Bible. My church did a survey about this and found out that some people who have been attending church for more than 10-years have never even opened their Bible at home and read it. Most people even said the only time the hear the Word of God was at church only. How can Bible reading and Bible study be so neglected at home? Now we have decided to have 'at home' Bible reading, and study, 2-times per week, in addition to our regular church attendance. Does this sound like a good idea?

  11. Blessings daughterofGrace I was wondering why the spelling Yahushua,I took quite a bit of research as I have not been the best with learning Hebrew ...every time I got "so far" I gave up,tried again & so on & so on for years, lol Anyway, correct me if I'm wrong but I am understanding this is JESUS but in human form,as we have seen Him & Will see Him again....so it seems appropriate with the "song of the bride" singing out to the returning Messiah (Yahweh in human form as Jesus ,God the Son) Did I get it right? Also I read some comments (I can't find where I found it-I'm sure someone else can, lol) ...but a poster by the name of Yada said: With love-in Christ,Kwik

Neighbour I picture myself hiking up this long winding path, up a mountain, switchback after switchback slowly inching myself up from the valley down below, going up into the cloud banks past meadows of mountain flowers then up into the rocky crags. Yes I see myself going around a bend on that mountain path and coming upon a small oasis and there you are sitting there. I say this not to mock you but to say that I don't often hear such beautiful words of wisdom. God bless you brother. and thank you Mike2

  15. Well, I figured, why not take up a trade my Lord was taught, that carpenter from Nazareth. I'm fortunate to have a business that when installed, my customers get to see their anticipated results before them, and I generally receive the little pat on the back. (Usually) I mostly have done installs for other shops, large architectural cabinet and mill work jobs with my crew, and custom homes. Lived on job sites for almost fifty years, (another world), and it's nice to finally "retire" to my shop for the jobs of my choice, right at home. (My shop is my 401K) Yes, I am blessed, more than I deserve. I'll tell you sometime about an almost plane crash back in sixty eight on a Saturn Airlines four engine flight to a little place in the orient. Exiting, fur sure..........

  21. The purpose of the millennium is for the true Word of God to be taught without the influence of satan. God will not judge anyone in ignorance. When everyone has been taught who are in their mortal (liable to die) soul bodies, then Satan will be loosed. Those teachings will have been given under perfect conditions, and all will have bodies with no ailments, perfect thought, and no temptations by Satan. In fact, all will know he was the deceiver of this earth age. Their understanding will be perfect. We be in our spiritual bodies at that time, the difference is it's condition for although we will be in those bodies those who did'nt over come before Christ returned will have a mortal soul. https://www.theseason.org/revelation/revelation20.htm

  23. I hope everyone realizes that the author of Luke was not even there when Christ died on the cross. What we have was an oral version of what the disciples spoke. Second, when someone converses in real life, there is no comma, periods, explanation marks or questions marks. These were put in for ease of reading centuries later when it was translated. I suggest that we look at how it was translated word for word without the comma. (http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/NTpdf/luk23.pdf) AND said to-him THE JESUS AMEN I-AM sayING to-YOU toDAY WITH ME YOU-SHALL-BE IN THE paradise There is not one translation I can find where they disagree with each other as to where the comma is to be placed. People try to twist scripture for a reason, and that is to support their theology. Let the scripture speak to you through the Holy Spirit, not your intellect.

  24. This discussion is about the night of Jesus betrayal, not post-Ressurection. Plenty of people have died for Jesus from 66-312 A. D. And beyond, but they all knew the Risen Christ, while the Disciples the night Jesus was betrayed still doubted and didn't understand God's plan to sacrifice Himself for Sin. Its about what you knew when. The night of Jesus' arrest I would as I said, flee with rest of the Disciples. But after Ressurection Sunday and even now I will die for Jesus. The comtext of question on page one was would you flee with the disciples or die at Gethsename. I answered that specific question.

I never made the dating scene at all, I married them first and then dated them I guess. Seems to be what happened in each case. I really did have a date with each, but it was decision made to marry by mid date each time for each of us. I don't know, I thought that was the way it is done. What do I know, I never "dated".

  26. All three. Ask the Lord for healing, and then if there is no breakthrough ask for elders to lay hands. But be prepared for the Apostle Paul's answer too: "7 So to keep me from becoming conceited because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations,[a] a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from becoming conceited. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions, and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (1 Corinthians 12:7-10)

  28. Two did die with Jesus. Neither gave up their own life willfully, as Jesus did. Jesus had purpose in giving up His spirit. I'm not sure what you think having your spirit taken from you would serve in the cause of the gospel of Jesus. But I guess you think it would. Now if I were able to be a part of a real" You Are There" episode, I know what I would want likely more than anything else - that is to attend the 40 day Bible school run by Jesus after his resurrection and before His ascension. Then to go about one of the finer cities sharing the Gospel of my Lord Jesus and die of a ripe old age, maybe attending to the needs of Mary, Jesus' mother, for awhile in the duration. Better yet, it would be wondrous to awaken one day as Enoch likely did after having taken one step by himself and the very next with God the Father. - Skip the whole death thing altogether. And to also have been commended by God. Now there is a worthy "You Are There" to have in reality. But as it is, God has made this vessel what he will and it will be what it is. Praise God for the inclusion, for being made at all.

  30. That's a large part of why it doesn't sit well. A number of people so large that it is compared to the sand of the sea is startling in it's size. These people have lived under His perfect reign for a thousand years, and that many will revolt? It sounds like more will turn on Him than will abide in Him to me. I don't think that He doesn't mean a specific length of time when He says it, but on the flip side of that people will argue that the Day of the Lord is some indeterminate amount of time and for some reason most are ok with that. As it stands I am not saying it is not a thousand years, just that it doesn't sit well with me, which is why I have asked the Lord for understanding because no person has to this point provided a satisfactory answer as to how His reign can end in revolt. I am completely receptive to explanations and would prefer to be able to resolve the issue I see with it. I know God is not an author of confusion, that is what the enemy does, but the fact remains there are serious issues with a literal application. These are several serious issues as I see it. 1. He is perfect, so how can His reign with an iron scepter end in such a large revolt? 2. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice, so how can animal sacrifices suddenly be re-instated? 3. Following the 7th trumpet we are told the time has come for rewarding the saints and prophets, judging the dead, and more. The 7th trumpet is the 3rd woe, which comes quickly after the 2nd woe. How can it come quickly with a thousand years in between the two? That's a larger gap than between the first two woes which at most is a 3 1/2 year period. Given all of these things, it becomes more and more problematic to take it as a literal thousand years. So that is why I have my doubts, because it appears to contradict scripture in so many other ways. I am fine with whatever the plan is, once He comes and takes me home what follows is going to be all good with me. I hope this gives you a better understanding of where I am coming from. God bless God, in the beginning, created everything that was created and He said it was good. Yet, man, through his ability to make choices for himself, turned from God. There were only two of them at that time, yet they both turned - 100% rejection factor. When Jesus returns, He will set up reign for 1000 years the same way He created all that was created. Being that there will be more then just 2 people at this time, why does this startle you when the number to us, is uncountable? Think of it this way, if man, even after walking with God Himself, disobeys and turns from God, why do you think man will be any different when Jesus reigns? Didn't Jesus tell us in His gospels ""Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." "? So, yes, many will continue to turn from Jesus even when He reigns. The animal sacrifice, as I understand it, will be during the tribulation, not the millennium. I do not believe time in heaven is like time here in this life, which is how I tried to explain II Peter 3:8 earlier. You are referring to time in heaven, not on earth. Taking in account that God can be in the beginning and the end at the same time, time means nothing to him. We, on the other hand, measure time so intricately, that every second counts. As we get older, notice that time goes by faster? Time seems to become shorter to us, yet, a child see a day as a long time, and a week is too far away to consider, yet, it just seem like yesterday I got up to begin another week at work.

  31. I am not going to get into all this with you, as we have discussed this before. I take scripture as it was written. I have faith in what it says without having to chase down any like verses in scripture for a "greater understanding", as some see it. I take Revelation as it is.

  32. Satan, having been bound for 1000 years, and his minions placed in the lake of fire, diminishes sin from being so prevalent. Why do you think that when God states a specific length of time that He does not mean it. God is not an author of confusion. Not wanting to argue about it either, just trying to understand. Notice that when Satan is released, he find so many people that Revelation 20:8 says "whose number is as the sand of the sea."

And after that everything changed in this world, "evolved" as they claim but prior, at an accelerated rate. The human term of course being Cambrian Explosion. When we know it is God's will. No wonder evolutionists are at a loss to explain it.

  38. Stated with eloquence and Davida has given this reply the thumbs up,so it is indeed exactly what she has been saying.......it does seem a bit odd that any Christian would defend any cult but I am not sure thats what Badjoa is doing......I can understand people that do not categorize individuals because I certainly don't or at least I hope I don't Terrorism is atrocious-rape,murder,pedophilia.,genital mutilation,torture-all atrocities but whether terrorists are supported by the "peaceful" muslims or not is pretty irrelevant in regards to how "we" as Christians should view individuals......does each person created by God not deserve to be given the opportunity to hear the Gospel and choose for himself to come to Jesus & repent or not? These Threads are outrageous imo, only because of what they spiral into .....this is an important topic and one we should be able to discuss like mature ,loving Christians, especially here in this Ministry amongst the Brethren..... Shiloh said"It's time for governments to get tough on Islam and ban Islam from civilized nations." and I agree with him 100% but that does not mean that I hate Muslims nor does it mean I have to speak with unkindness to anyone Tolerance & political correctness has gotten us nowhere but Truth can get us far.....The plain & simple truth is that we(Americans) need to learn from others mistakes as we read in the OP ......This Nation is One Nation Under God,not allah & not muhammed.....its time to decide Who we serve..... I still believe God is pouring His Spirit out to many many muslims and people that follow other false religions, cults & traditions......so,I will never designate any individual to anything other than 'unsaved or saved"....they each deserve to live and to hear the Gospel of Jesus ,I hope & I pray that many many come to the foot of the cross but they do not need to come to America to do it..... With love-in Christ,Kwik

  41. What should sadden you is that you misrepresented my faith. And insist you are correct in doing so. And that you "exposed" "it". You did no such thing as pertains to my faith. As you said, the dialog is there for all to read. Now true, I did misspeak when I said, I never said either, pertaining to oppression or possession being possible by Satan. I misread and for that I am wrong and apologize. However, the rest of my personal testimony of faith and belief concerning the body of this OP topic is accurate and there to read as just that and at your request that I explain my personal beliefs further. PERSONAL BELIEF. With your asking me more and more questions about that I expounded more and more. That in no way is any attempt from the platform of personal belief to : I never attempted to convince others that there was no such thing. Never! In fact, members can read others posts as to their personal experience here in this thread. I never once posted anything to them. Nor did I post anything that in any way could be inferred as attempting to convince them they are wrong. Personal experience! We all have them. Personal faith. We all have that. I can understand why in the quote above you said you don't understand why I cannot accept "this" reality. Because your reality does not speak for or to mine. Though it tries. And then it tries to malign my faith by claiming I disrespect others faith and experience with this particular topic and attempt to convince them they are wrong. The evidence speaks for that never happening. Never. I've clarified my position as is in evidence in my posts here. I will not defend myself against false witness. You may not apologize as you claim , but I forgive you anyway . May the light of the Father lead your path to all blessings and peace in the name of his precious and beloved son Immanuel, Jesus the Christ. Amen.

  43. I'll say this with all respect, as it is able to be read here by anyone who would care to go back a page or two and read my posts. I entered into this discussion with you because you asked me to elaborate on my beliefs about Satan , his influence in this world, the armor of God. And my personal beliefs and relationship with Jesus Christ. I did that. I answered from the personal perspective that you were aware of the questions you asked about the above subjects. This in no wise then means what you have stated in the quote above bolded text is true. I did not ever try or feel I had to convince others there is no such thing. I shared from a personal perspective, as was stated early on when we began this talk. You and I. I do not therefore understand why you feel the need to misrepresent what I've stated when you asked me my personal opinion on the topic first. My personal relationship with Jesus, my personal sharing here as I have done, in no wise dismisses anyone elses experiences. I never said it did. I never implied it did. What I stated, as is evident pages back , is my personal relationship perspective.

  44. All that I highlighted is not what anyone wants to talk about in Bible. But it is there to show us two things: 1) what God detests and why, and 2) it proves the Bible is true, if it had been a forgery or cultic book the authors would have omitted all the messy bits (like Book of Mormon did which paints saintly view of Smith and his religion, while the real Joseph Smith was known by a relative of mine who was devout Christian in person, she said "He was reprobate and lascivious. He was womanizer and created religion that permitted his womanizing," bigamy and polygamy). A simple apologetics is that Bible contains no facebook approach to facts, there are failures left in the accounts: Noah's son Ham, David and Bathseba, Peter denies Jesus three times, Thomas doubts Jesus' Resurrection, Paul admits he killed Christians before his conversion and talks about his tormentor, Peter and Paul get in dispute over Jews and Greeks, and so on. Other books try to make their saints seem perfect, "St. So and So never gave into temptation, never lied, used rose bushes to curb sinful feelings, and died after doing miracles." Uh.. sounds superhuman. Whereas the Apostles and Patriachs of Old Testament had flaws, but God used them mightily. Only Jesus Christ, our God and Savior was without sin Himself, though tempted He never sinned (Hebrews 4:15, 2 Corinthians 5:21, 1 Peter 2:22). I mean take the Apostle Paul. In today's world a murderer doesn't get many second chances, but Paul who was Saul and murder of Christians became the most prolific writer of New Testament and reached so many for Christ. A true redemptive story, which has the flaws and the faith.

  45. It just means you should work hard with what you have, not worrying about how much more other people may have. If the third servant had doubled his one talent to get two talents, the master would have been kind and rewarded him, though he would then have just two talents compared to the first servant's ten talents.

This is how I describe it: Singleness is like a bitter pill God wants me to swallow. It's so bitter but as time goes by I become so numb of its bitterness that I get used to it." "Singleness is like God's curse. "Singleness is like reminding you that marriage is a gift from God. But not all is blessed to receive that gift from Him. It is a gift God decides who to give it too."... And you wonder why and what is in you that God decided not to give it to you. You will tell yourself as it is written, there are things in life only God knows the reason. Things that will be just revealed when you faced your maker.
