  2. I am not sure if they are. Your story reminded me of my last deployment, a WestPac for 6 months. One of the wives from the squadron asked my wife to watch their little baby a couple times and then like the 3 or 4th time my wife found out it was so she could be alone with some guy. My wife called her out on it and her response was "well, I am sure he is cheating too". She didnt baby sit any more after that.

  7. We view FOX new all the time. Hannity did have Trump Jr. on tonight and it was total class. He didn't jump on the the fake media (to any great extent). He merely just wanted his father to get back to work now. Sean almost had to twist his arm to show some anger about all this stuff. God Bless our President.

  8. Easy! You don't. They're apostate. How do you call yourself a church , a denomination of Christ's truth, and violate his Father's word? Jesus came to save the world from its sins. Not die so the world could become politically correct sinners .

  11. This was a tactic perpetuated by media in all formats to get the attitude of America re-arranged toward accepting homosexuality as normal. There's a book that was published in the 90's. It is considered the handbook for activists in the homosexual front in that regard. After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 90's Remember the old TV show Soap? Billy Crystal's character that was gay? To accept the cross dressing that we see now more and more exploiting their new rights and oppressing others, transsexuals? Remember the old series, Bosom Buddies? Tom Hanks starred. He and his roommate cross dressed. All of that considered humor desensitized moral outrage because we laughed. Then they became endearing and we welcomed them into our home tuning in their time slot week after week. There's a tee shirt that's been on the market for ages. It has an old style antennae rabbit ear TV and in the center of the screen is a red spiral. The slogan? "Why do you think they call it programming?"

On Wednesday, federal authorities charged 33 people with a wide variety of offenses, including, yes, the theft and trafficking of “a shipment containing approximately 10,000 pounds of chocolate confections,” according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York

  13. Yep. And on the reverse side of that from the units that did not deploy you would have guys that knew to hit the E-Club the weekend after the other unit left as there would be wives there looking for some company for the next 6 months. At the end of our last deployment the unit chaplain took us all aside for our end of deployment brief and his message was not to feel obligated to tell your spouse if something happened while deployed and then he flew back to the states and told the wives not to ask questions they did not want answers to. This was the mid 90s.

  14. You really need to check your facts. The number of countries that participated in D-Day were not 7, as each head represents a country or kingdom. From the D-Day Museum The majority of troops who landed on the D-Day beaches were from the United Kingdom, Canada and the US. However, troops from many other countries participated in D-Day and the Battle of Normandy, in all the different armed services: Australia, Belgium, Czechoslovakia, France, Greece, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway and Poland. That is 12 nations.

I was in the Corps when this episode aired and I can tell you that sleeping with a married person was not some shocking new thing that people did not approve of. We had such "rules" as "after 50 miles nobody is married" and "what happens on deployment, stays on deployment". The media was not softening the resistance, they were mirroring the times.

  17. I'd like to see passages that prove that JESUS was CREATED? If you can't -- then this is completely AGAINST what John 1 talks about! Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. Joh 1:2 He was in the beginning with God. Joh 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. Joh 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. Joh 1:5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Joh 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. God bless, George

  18. Hi PlanetChee, That can sound like an open cheque book from God, however we need to see who Jesus was talking to, and for what purpose. Let me give an example. A man has a farm and is the father of a son. He tells his son that here is the cheque book for your needs on the farm. We see who the father is talking to and for what purpose. Similarly, Jesus is talking to the disciples of Israel, and says that `whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.` Obviously the disciples would not be asking for treasures on earth, but for their needs as they went about telling Israel of their Messiah. We, the Body of Christ are NOT the centre of God`s word. It is not all about us, but for us to read and learn of Christ and HIS PURPOSES for Israel, the nations and ourselves regards, Marilyn.

  25. Ex 24:9-11 Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. KJV John 6:44-46 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. Not that any man hath seen the Father, save he which is of God, he hath seen the Father. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~ Moses and friends saw the God of Israel and were not harmed. Jesus says that no man has seen the father except He that came from Him. So it seems to me that the Father that Jesus speaks of is not what that the Nation of Israel interfaced with in the Old Testament. Looking further: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John 1:1-10 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light. That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. KJV John 8:52-58 Then said the Jews unto him, Now we know that thou hast a devil. Abraham is dead, and the prophets; and thou sayest, If a man keep my saying, he shall never taste of death. Art thou greater than our father Abraham, which is dead? and the prophets are dead: whom makest thou thyself? Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: Yet ye have not known him; but I know him: and if I should say, I know him not, I shall be a liar like unto you: but I know him, and keep his saying. Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad. Trinity Thoughts Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham? Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It seems to me to be saying that Jesus was what the Nation of Israel interfaced with in the Old Testament days. Jesus in this form was with the Father from the beginning. It seems to me that the people of the Old Testament days were not aware of the Father except for what they saw through the Jesus in the form he existed in before he became flesh. Further: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Phil 2:5-11Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It appears to me that Jesus as the word was that which the Father worked through to manifest Himself to the people of the Old Testament times. Jesus did not regard himself to want to be the equal to the Father so He took the form of a human to further the works of the Father on earth. Jesus was deity by being in the form of God, but it was the Father that did the work through Him when he was the Word. It appears that the only thing that has changed is Jesus is now flesh working the same way only as a man. The Father exercises His will through Jesus, now in the fleshly body. `~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ John 14:10-11 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. KJV John 17:20-26 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me. And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, even as we are one: I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father, the world hath not known thee: but I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me. And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ It seems to me that Jesus just extended the conduit from Him to us for the Father to do His work through Jesus to us so we could know the Father as the Father knows us. Thus we now can do the work of the Father. I believe this is the path and workings of the Holy Spirit ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` 1 Cor 15:20-28 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive. But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him. And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jesus, before His ascension told the Apostles that all power and authority had been given to Him. After he has subdued everything Jesus will also be subjected to the One who subjected all things to Him........ The Father. I don't see the Son always being equal with the Father, either when He was the word nor in the flesh. He will also be subject to the Father after He does the job of bringing the kingdom into it's full power over all and giving it to the Father. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 Cor 8:4-6 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one. For though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him. KJV ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ But to us, there is but one God, The Father of whom all things came from...... And one Lord, Jesus whom we call the Christ, through which all things came including us. And we have the Holy Spirit which was sent to us from the Father at the request of Jesus. Interestingly, all three are one in thought, one in purpose, and one in action. We can't interface with the Father without being indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and we can't have the Holy Spirit without the sacrifice and request of Jesus, and we couldn't have had Jesus without the Father asking Him to do what he has done for us. You have to have all three or none. And thus they are one.

This is soft stuff compared to what Billy's up to. It is a true shame how far our education system , public education system, has fallen since I was in school. I think one day homeschooling will be outlawed. Currently there are eight states that are incredibly strict with those who would homeschool their children. If children are taught to reason rather than regurgitate rote programming they could be a danger to the conglomerates and special interest machinations currently working to craft the future. Look at how effective PC programming for the last 15 years has been in our culture. And now universities and colleges are churning out PC drones at graduation. It's uncanny how closely American society is mimicking the story line in George Orwell's Dystopian novel, 1984.

  28. Donald Trump Jr. is going to be on the Fox News channel's Sean Hannity show tonight at 10 p.m eastern to talk about this matter. Great article. Comey embarrassed himself as a legal professional during this hearing today. Seriously. He has no integrity and no skill at hiding that fact. Read this excerpt from the Fox article. So that there's not tons of these type reports about Comey's hearing all over the place here. Comey should be charged. "Intelligence Committee Chairman, Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., asked Comey quite directly, “Was the president trying to obstruct justice?” As expected, Comey demurred by claiming, “It’s not for me to say.” While there is no legal basis for declining to answer the pivotal question, Comey dodged it for a reason. If he said, under oath, that he regarded the president’s words as obstruction, Comey would have incriminated himself in a crime known as “misprision of felony.” As explained in an earlier column, the law imposes an affirmative duty on federal officials, like Comey, to immediately report knowledge of a felony such as obstruction to a person in authority. In the case of an FBI Director, his superior is the Assistant Attorney General at the Department of Justice. Comey admitted he did not tell anyone at DOJ. His excuses were legally vacuous. Thus, one can conclude that Comey either did not believe the president obstructed justice (and, therefore, had no duty to report it) or he did not want to put himself in legal jeopardy." This part is really ridiculous! "Comey was pressed on the issue. Unbelievably, he claimed he did not know whether FBI agents have a duty to report a crime that has been committed: Question: “You’re unsure whether they would have a legal duty?” Answer: “That’s a good question. I’ve not thought about that before. (pause) There is a statute that prohibits misprision of a felony -- knowing of a felony and taking steps to conceal it. But this is a different question.” This is what should have Comey up on charges. " Comey Leaked His Memo Obstruction aside, one of the more stunning moments during the hearing came when Comey confessed that he deliberately leaked to “a friend” the contents of the memo memorializing his conversation with Trump… so that it would then be leaked to the media. Comey said it was his personal property. Wrong. Under the Federal Records Act and the FBI’s own Records Management regulations, “any document that is made in the course of business” is the property not of the person who authored it, but the property of the U.S. government. And so are its contents. It matters not whether the document, as this one, is unclassified. Comey improperly and, perhaps, unlawfully leaked a government document involving an FBI investigation. 29. My Post trib position (and the Bible post-trib) is also post-wrath rapture (i.e --2nd coming) -- is clear in this text. Matthew 24 "Immediately after the tribulation of those days... He will send forth His angels to gather His elect" Matt 24 1 Thess 4 "the dead in Christ rise FIRST" Rev 21 "This is the FIRST resurrection..blessed and holy is he who has part in the FIRST resurrection over THESE the second death has no power"

  30. Harldy! In my case, I go with the bulk of evidence from scripture. That evidence points most clearly, to a post tribulation, second coming or return of Christ, something that most pre-tribulation rapture theorists agree with. The controversy arises, when pre-tribbers insist that there is (in spite of the lack of any specific scriptural verses to indicate a pre-trib rapture) a separate pre-tribulation coming of Christ to gather His church. They sometimes use words like His imminent coming, or the secret rapture, etc. I only wish that they would let me in on where the Bible support for these ideas come from. That, I think, is the only thing secret about it! That assertion, is a case based solely on speculation, assumed inferences, and in some cases, clearly misinterpreted and badly exegeted passages. If you think iamlamad, that is not the case and desire me to elaborate, I will be happy to do so at a later time. Right how, I am about to leave for a home Bible study fellowship.

  34. We will soon see just who it is that has been deceived. The verses that you think are about a rapture, do not say that God will take people to heaven at all. Paul does not 'clearly explain' a rapture removal to heaven. What he does make clear, is that there is only one people of God and only a remnant of Israel [the Jews] will be saved. Romans 9:27 Why I 'don't want to hear' the rapture, is not because I don't like the idea, but because I know what God has actually planned for His people. How we Christians will all be gathered and settled into all of the holy Land, where we live in peace and prosperity. Isaiah 62:1-5, Isaiah 35:1-10, Rev 7:9

I haven't heard a peep in broadcast news in the U.S. Has anyone here reading heard about this on their American stations in the markets where they live? If it was bad news about President Trump it would headline. But this brave undertaking by Muslims risking their lives to save Christians under siege is back burner? That says a lot for how far this nation has fallen as a people I believe. Because had this been in the 1970's, even the 1980's, I do believe it would have been headline making reporting. I think CBN reported this here. "Christian Broadcast News". I'll have to double check that to be sure. But that's still not mainstream media.

  40. What is faith? The writer of the letter to the Hebrews has been imploring his readers to keep their faith alive and not give up. Faith is all-important, because “the righteous person will live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4, quoted in Hebrews 10:38) But what exactly is it? To modern man, faith is a subjective belief, without evidence to support it - or even belief in the face of contrary evidence! But in the Bible, faith is the faculty of perceiving what is genuinely, objectively true because God has revealed it to us. “Faith demonstrates to the eye of the mind the reality of those things that cannot be discerned by the eye of the body.” (Matthew Henry) It enables us to look beyond our immediate situation and take account of eternal realities. And then it translates these invisible, intangible realities into concrete, observable actions. Nobody can measure or prove the future life that Christians hope for – but if we believe God’s promise of what is to come, we will not live solely for the present moment. “Faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” (Hebrews 11:1) Yet it is more than commitment on the basis of probability. Because its object is God, faith itself is part of the eternal reality that we do not yet see! When we live and act in faith, we find it to be a firm foundation; by living as if God’s promises are true, we discover in our own experience that they are true. And so the writer, rather than trying to explain what faith is, shows us what it does - by inviting us to look at the lives of people who lived by faith in the past. Just like us, the Old Covenant believers were promised things that they did not necessarily receive in their own lifetimes. But they believed the promises of God, and acted upon them - which is what it means to ‘live by faith’.

  44. True enough. In a sinful world eating diseased meat and rats - certainly a health risk... a "bad thing". Of course as you imply - in a Genesis 1 pre-fall sinless world we would be eating fruits and nuts and the animals would all be vegetarian so no need to tell us not to eat "diseased meat or rats". I find your logic "illusive" at that point As you can see in my statement above - I make the exact opposite point.
    1 point
  45. Really? -- rats cats dogs bats??? On the contrary - I don't think you have made your case that God wants us to eat rats - even though His word forbids it. If your doctor said "I want you to stop eating diseased meat and rats - this will greatly improve your health" And you said "ok - but are you saying that because God's Word forbids eating such things in Lev 11 or for some other reason" And your doctor said "I happen to be an atheist - I don't care at all what the Bible said.. Do it because I am your doctor" And then would you REALLY say "well ok -because YOU said it - but not because the Bible said it...for sure not for that reason, because the Bible is imagined to say that rats are ok for food even though we both know that is crazy to do in real life". This is the form of the case you have made so far....and then you respond with "you have not made your case"??? When you "allow God" to speak against "diseased meats" in Lev 11 but not against eating rats -- just who is it that is "not making their case so far"???

  46. There was a question about what requirements were clearly applicable to gentiles - in Acts 15. Of course the usual - like keep the Commandments of God etc - but then we have this... Acts 15 19 Therefore it is my judgment that we do not trouble those who are turning to God from among the Gentiles, 20 but that we write to them that they abstain from things contaminated by idols and from fornication and from what is strangled and from blood. 21 For Moses from ancient generations has in every city those who preach him, since he is read in the synagogues every Sabbath.” Lev 17 14 “For as for the life of all flesh, its blood is identified with its life. Therefore I said to the sons of Israel, ‘You are not to eat the blood of any flesh, for the life of all flesh is its blood; whoever eats it shall be cut off.’ Lev 19:18 "Love your neighbor as yourself" Deut 6:5 "Love God with all your heart"

  47. You of course have free will and can do as you please - this was the case both pre-cross just as it is now post-cross. Matt 7 (before the cross) Jesus said "judge not that you be not judged" -- this was not a statement by Christ saying it is ok to "take God's name in vain" or to "break the 4th commandment" or to eat rats. This is a pre-cross statement telling us that we are not supposed to judge others - just as the post-cross statement in Col 2. No change pre-cross or post-cross in that regard.
