  1. Not really.... let me put it this way..... somewhere along the timeline i decided it would be a really good idea to research the occult and really understsnd why Satan did what he is doing thinking it would be good to know how to fight with him..... the more i studied the more i learned and the more i interfacec with the dark side.... all the time thinking i had control of things. Long story short one night I was offered things that was really difficult to comprehend if I actually joined them. I was in the shower probably about to make some really bad decisions when the Holy Spirit intervened and verbally told them no..... said you can't have him, he's mine. That was about the time I realized just how out of control I was. The main thing out of it all was to be able to tell people that we as humans literally have no authority within the spiritual realm. We have no control over the demonic forces whatsoever..... And they are so old and have so much understanding of humans, they can usually outsmart almost any of us. The only control or authority we have is through the Holy Spirit.... so unless thd Holy Spirit tells you to get involved with the d ark side....... just don't. Also, for most people all they need to know about the demonic world you can get in the book of Ephesians. Although my dealings has let me help several people work through some problems they or others have gotten them into. And some people who have been seriously traumatised either by the dark ones, or just bad people. The daily interactions that I lived.... people just don't need to know.

  4. Great quote! Someone recently accused me of being a demon because I didn't agree with their bigotry. I know God has a message there for something I'm suppose to learn from encountering an atheist so full of hate as to verbally assault someone they know to be a Christian, but at the time, it does upset to anger. If you've ever been bullied or verbally abused, name calling, which is the sign of youth and immaturity and spoiled-rotten demeanor that has no other outlet when their opinion doesn't "get its way" , is surprising to encounter as an adult. Those things you thought you'd left behind when you grew older. And then you encounter some smart mouthed child with poor parenting raising them up and POW! It's nostalgia. Back in Kindergarten when name callers really meant something to your state of being. It all add's up to something the Father wants us to learn. We just have to breathe and step back and look for the thread of meaning. God is a personal God. He knew us before we were created in the womb of our mom's. So he also knows how to reach us through experience. The brat offender that called me demon has something to learn as that atheist so full of hate for Christians. And I have something to learn that an atheist can make me wonder why it is I see them and give one care that they're going to Hell until they choose to change their direction of their own soul. I've worn a lot of hats in my life. Prison guard currently. Maybe that's it. The atheist locked in their own prison cell of hate for redemption and its message? I can't share the keys to free people behind bars now unless the court of man says, OK. But I can share the gospel.

  6. Beware, beware. If you claim to speak in tongues and nobody can understand what you are saying then you're NOT speaking in tongues. Speaking in tongues may be a gift from God, but understanding tongues is for everybody, believer and non-believer alike. The reason for being given the gift of tongues is so that you can speak to everyone, regardless of what language they speak and they will be able to understand you. When the apostles travelled around preaching the gospel, they visited many different nations and each nation spoke a different language, so they would not have been able to understand what the apostles were saying. This is why God gave the apostles the gift of tongues. Cretes, and Arabians: we heard them speak in our own tongues the wonderful works of God. Acts 2:11 The above verse means that everybody there understood what was preached. They heard it in their own language, so the Cretans heard it in Greek and the Arabs heard it in Arabic. Anybody can make a claim that they have the gift of tongues and speak any old gibberish, but if it sounds like gibberish, that's exactly what it is - gibberish! God does not give anybody special gifts to be used in private. Any gift from God such as prophecy for example, is meant to serve God's purpose and that is to teach others. Tongues is NOT a special language that you use to speak with God during your intimate time with him. God does not need a special language to communicate with, he understands all languages. Bear in mind when you read the Bible the word 'tongue' can also mean 'language' and this is where confusion lies. For example: And to another the operations of great works: and to another, prophecy: and to another, the discerning of spirits: and to another, diversities of tongues: and to another, the interpretation of tongues. 1st Corinthians 12:28 Why would there be a 'diversity' of tongues if this verse is not referring to language? If 'tongues' is meant to be a language from God then why are there different ones? In this case diversity of tongues means different languages (English, French, Aramaic etc.) and is not referring to the language called 'tongues' that is a specific miraculous language and a gift from God. Anybody who claims to speak tongues is being deceived, unless the language they speak is universally comprehensible. Anybody who speaks gibberish that sounds incomprehensible to others, may have a gift of some sort but it doesn't come from God. Anybody who sits alone in the dark praying in tongues, believing they have some special gift is being deceived by malevolent spirits. I'm not even convinced that anybody has the gift of tongues today - we don't need it. We have interpreters, translators and if its on TV we have subtitles. Besides, English is fairly universal anyway.

  7. My family unit requires healing. My daughter has become distant as she spends more and more time with a boyfriend who is having a negative influence on her. Instead of being the happy, caring and loving daughter she once was ... she is becoming rude, secretive, selfish and unkind. I love her but I don't particularly like her current attitudes. Her Dad is hurting bad too. I am so very very sad. I don't know what to pray for anymore

  13. Hi, And may I say welcome, belatedly. From one rather newbie here to another. Might we first pray together? I do pray that you will hear from God, and will know God, and will break from what you describe as indifference to God and His will. His will for you. If you will join in that prayer, I also ask you to pray for me. I do have much need of prayer. If you will ask of God if He will help me to know His will regarding making my bride feel secure should I predecease her. Thanks. Now that may be a bit of an unsual prayer, but it is an important issue in our "young" relationship as husband and wife. Now as to you and your own plight; I have little to go on to this point, but I sense you are guarded in general, as in "not telling" and LPSTR. You are, or so it seems in my own mind's eye, keeping coded what you may really need to be plain about, at least before God, for your sake. You need not tell me your gender, and I do not have a clue about code writing. And I sure did not have the code to God through Jesus when I experienced my own comeuppance and repentance from my personal sinning against God. At this point I can only make a general comment based solely upon very very limited information about you and your plight: It seems you may have an academics approach to finding God. You may want God to fit your string, your defining, in order to know Him. I suspect that is not being a very fruitful process for you to date. You may have need to get into an uncomfortable zone, as a gambler might go all in. You might need to have a little talk with Jesus. It may be as simple, if it is heart felt by you, to ask, to prayerfully ask in quiet submission to God, -If You are there God show me, please show me, that I may have of Jesus faith that which will allow me to make the kind of sense of You that my mind can comprehend. Thank you God. You need not do a walk down an aisle though that is testimony before man, you need not recite a written out prayer composed by someone else, but perhaps you could if it helps you personally write out a code of sorts, a code, a string of your concerns for God alone. May you find you can let down your guard and be freed to talk with God as you seek His will for you. May your turning about be quickened and may it be known vividedly to you. May the Holy Spirit make himself known to you in such force that you will always have the reveal of Jesus within you. -Amen I do hesitate to share of my thoughts with you but I too will go to that uncomfortable zone, go all in and gamble, gamble on God revealing through the Holy Spirit , His Son Jesus in a manner that will give you the support in faith that you desire. I also add that Jews that refused Jesus as their Messiah , in general they demanded a sign from God; while the Greek, the gentile demanded wisdom before they would accept Jesus. Jesus said He would give but one sign, the sign of Jonah. I will not talk to you about that for you have evidently read it already. BUT- please put flesh and blood on that message- the sign of Jonah! See the literal and very personal application that is there for you by reveal of the Holy Spirit. Jesus died and arose again after three days. Died and yet arose from the grave conquering death. Jesus had shed his blood to cover my sin and yours if you are willing to be covered by it, be washed white as snow, and seen not for what you are- a sinner of many flaws and imperfections, but instead seen as clean, washed in garments white as snow, pure before God, all under the love of God and the sacrifice made by His son Jesus, as is revealed by God the Holy Spirit to those that are called to their repentance and then answer in the affirmative yes Lord Jesus, openly having bowed a knee and heart before Him. May God indwell you, your body spirit and soul, and may He bring you peace and knowledge, absolute assurance, that He has adopted you to be with Him eternally. Amen.

  14. please.....i remember people referring to the holiday as both independence day and the fourth since I was a young kid...over 30 plus years. Everyone, even those who hate america, and those who love it, know exactly what we celebrate on the fourth. This is just a bunch of nonsense really...there is no "conspiracy" to slowly "eliminate" our independence by "making" us "forget about independence day" I will celebrate the fourth of July, because I, like everyone else, in this country, knows it is the day we declared independence from england. Whether you call it the "fourth of july" or "independence day" is irrelevant, because everyone knows whats important about that day regardless of what you call it.

  15. Hi Lptstr, Its a good thing that you are even on here asking because to me, that shows some level of your concern. You know, Jesus never forced His teaching onto people - He just put it out there and answered questions that were asked. Tbh, we aren't all going to be like the Apostles and Billy Graham etc - but in my humble life, as I try to know Him more, and put His teachings into practise, I do see changes within me and in my life - but it has to start with me wanting to have changes. I hope this helps

  17. Their secret vows demand these things should they break their vows. I have good friend who have been delivered from the LDS as well as some who work among them to spread the Gospel of Christ. It is most certainly true. They vow to raise their children in the LDS under penalty of their vows. They then think that is the only way they can be saved in the mormon faith. I have seen the terror in the eyes of those about to be excommunicated from LDS, as well as the thought of taking their kids out of LDS. I didn't understand it until I started to understand the vows of the lower echelon of Masons under eternal death should they reveal their secret codes, and was told about it by an LDS who had defected. Another LDS asked for prayer covering as she had renounce the church. There is terrible bondage with regular LDS--not so much rLDS.

  20. I'd support the retirement of both justices Kennedy and Ginsburg. Kennedy was on the record during the Arizona immigration case and made some very concerning remarks. Ginsburg, during recess to consider the then gay marriage case, officiated a gay marriage while in New York state. Her remarks when this was found out should have not only concerned watchers of the docket, but had her abstain being her prejudice to the case was made apparent. Fresh blood is long overdue. In fact, I'd go so far as to observe the great tragedy in the founders pursuits of policy in a new America was not putting term limits on all three branches of power from the beginning. Now, as is, that idea is but a long out of reach hopefor.

  21. Christ calls his sheep to him. I think you're doing everything you can to tell us you refuse to hear. I don't know what to tell you except maybe, if you stop putting proof lines on God, as if he has to meet this standard, this proof, to show you he's real, and he, a gender pronoun is a misnomer because that is an identifier humans attach in order to comprehend in our limited consciousness as it is human, the eternal all knowing power and spirit that is the source and cause behind all that is, needs to somehow meet those measures of proof, you'll miss the fact that God has always been there. He is everywhere you look. Even in the mirror. You are made in his image and likeness. God created all that is first, and is it any surprise that human mortal science has discovered that humans have stardust in their genetics? We're made of stardust. That you ask for proof of God tells you that God is asking you to let go and trust him to show you he is there. Starting with you. Made in the image and likeness. How does Jesus , who was God, call us to him? Easy. But not so much when we're so wrapped up in our own head thinking we have to explain everything to our liking and understanding in order to feel in control of this place we have in this huge intimidating world. Your expectation of what it means for God to prove himself is what barricades you behind your own consciousness. God's is far removed from that. God isn't a person. He's a spirit. He's the breath behind everything that exists. Including your own breath. Relax! You've heard that old saying? Let go and let God? Trust someone who was right where you are in my own way long ago. If you stop looking for God to show you he exists according to your expectation of what should be there to satisfy your imagination, you'll see God everywhere. You'll even notice you repeat things in your life, different a little bit but if you look, they're the same in tiny ways. And those? Those are the lessons God tells you you need to learn to advance in his plan for you. Did you ever hear , life is a school? Boy is it.

  25. Question: "Are demons fallen angels?" Answer: When exactly God created angels is open for debate, but what is known for sure is that God created everything good because God, in His holiness, cannot create something sinful. So when Satan, who was once the angel Lucifer, rebelled against God and fell from heaven (Isaiah 14; Ezekiel 28), one third of the angelic host joined his insurrection (Revelation 12:3-4,9). There is no doubt these fallen angels are now known as the demons. We know that hell was prepared for the devil and his angels, according to Matthew 25:41: “Then He will say to those on His left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.’” Jesus, by using the possessive word his makes it clear that these angels belong to Satan. Revelation 12:7-9 describes an end-times angelic battle between Michael and "his angels" and the devil and "his angels." From these and similar verses, it is clear that demons and fallen angels are synonymous. Some reject the idea that the demons are the fallen angels due to the fact that Jude verse 6 declares the angels who sinned to be "bound with everlasting chains." However, it is clear that not all of the angels who sinned are "bound," as Satan is still free (1 Peter 5:8). Why would God imprison the rest of the fallen angels, but allow the leader of the rebellion to remain free? It seems that Jude verse 6 is referring to God confining the fallen angels who rebelled in an additional way, likely the "sons of God" incident in Genesis chapter 6. The most common alternate explanation for the origin of the demons is that when the Nephilim of Genesis 6 were destroyed in the Flood, their disembodied souls became the demons. While the Bible does not specifically say what happened to the souls of the Nephilim when they were killed, it is unlikely that God would destroy the Nephilim in the Flood only to allow their souls to cause even greater evil as the demons. The most biblically consistent explanation for the origin of the demons is that they are the fallen angels, the angels who rebelled against God with Satan. https://www.gotquestions.org/fallen-angels.html

However, all this talk about national security in all these nations? And they're all in it together as the "united nations" already? With America being the founding nation of the U.N.. ? Come on! Hackers get the jam , the blame. But the governments that make the rules that identify what "freedom" is , by law you notice, are the real power. Remember Trump near the end of his campaign? Law and order! Look to Europe. Chaos. What's needed? Law and order. What if we the pleebs, the tax payers, are just playing our part? And the orderly, the rule makers, are setting the stepping stones we follow so as to be "law abiding citizens"?

  33. I've lived by a saying for a great number of years. I adopted the saying from being bullied in my school years and it seems to work pretty well. It's borrowed from Eleanor Roosevelt and I don't claim to quote her verbatim. No one can insult me without my permission. I am whatever an adversary thinks I am. Because that is in their eyes through which they see me. And from the moment they see me in an adversarial way, they are the one obligated to have that effect their life from that moment of creation on. I own them. Just by existing as me, while they judge me through their own faults. They can be happy and when they see me they fall from there into that judgment place. And that takes their happiness away. By their choice in the beginning when they labeled me so. I had not a thing to do with this. It was their choice. I am not obligated to believe what other people think of me, criticize about me, or chuck at me with the intention of hurting me with words as they would like with a fist. That had it been thrown would land them in jail. In forums there are those of this nature too. Their words in print are imagined as them speaking them aloud in person. It says a lot, what a Christian says about and to others. Don't you think?

  42. Here's my thought; The fact that you are asking about it means that you are concerned about what God would think about it. That's good. Based on that I think if you pushed for an abortion you are going to be stuck with guilt and feeling bad. You are thinking about the abortion because you are thinking about yourself and how that child is going to cramp your life....thing is there is a big payoff as you guide and teach that child and watch them grow into a wonderful loving human. That's a nice payoff. From your own question you have presented, I think you have to ask yourself what's the payoff living the rest of your life thinking about that abortion. You may not be a Christian but it seems you believe in God . Something you need to know, and this is important, the God we as Christians follow is a loving and forgiving God. He can and has taken care of all mans sins, once and for all, through the work of the Christ (hence the word Christian). We are forgiven, however our guilt and sorrow of sin entraps us and makes us feel naked and embarrassed in front of God and our difficulty believing that God loves us despite our sin, separates us from God. I strongly suggest you take abortion off the table and consider something better.

  43. 27 REASONS WHY CHRISTIANS SHOULD NEITHER SEEK NOR DESIRE TONGUES. The Charismatic Movement contends that: i) The New Testament gift of tongues should be sought and spoken by ALL Christians today. They seek to revive all gifts, but none are given so great importance as tongues. ii) The tongues gift is the true Biblical sign of the "Baptism in the Spirit." iii) Those receiving tongues receive a second blessing after salvation, enabling them to live more sanctified, powerful and joyful witnessing lives. iv) The tongues movement is claimed to be the "latter rain" revival foretold in Joel 2:23. We must test all religious movements on the basis of: a) Their doctrines. 2 Timothy 4:2,3 b) Their fruits. Matthew 7:15,16 c) Their spirits or powers behind a movement. “Test the spirits.” 1 John 4:1-4.. Note the following reasons why tongues are not needed for Christians today: 1. Tongues were classed as one of the lowest gifts. In 1 Corinthians 12:28 tongues are mentioned last in a list of 8 gifts. These are ranked in order of importance because we have "first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues." 2. God gives the gifts "according to his own will," not according to our seeking. "Gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will." Hebrews 2:4. 1 Corinthians 12:8-11 lists 9 gifts, the last being tongues and interpretation of tongues: "For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; to another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gift of healing by the same spirit,…. But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will." Note: Tongues were spoken on 3 occasions in Acts (2:4; 10:46; 19:6), but on none of these occasions are the recipients seeking, waiting or expecting to speak in tongues. At Pentecost, only the Apostles (12) spoke in tongues, but all who were saved (3000) received the Holy Spirit (2:38,39). a) "Covet earnestly the best gifts”(12:31); tongues are not the best gifts, but one of the least gifts.14:1 b) Spiritual gifts could be desired (14:1) but not claimed in faith as a birthright. There is no command to seek them. 3. Most modern tongues are a learned behaviour. People are told to blank out their mind and say whatever comes out; then go home and practice it. This is foreign to the New Testament. 4. Tongues speakers may be deceived. Because a person speaks unintelligible sounds, it is not proof that he has the N.T. gift of tongues. Few Charismatics are prepared to examine tongues. We must “prove all things” (1 Thess. 5:21). How do you prove that tongues are genuine languages? In 1 Corinthians 14:27-29, Paul discusses wrong tongues which are not interpreted in the church, and wrong prophecy, thus teaching that others need to judge a prophecy. Tongues have been spoken by heathen religions, Mormons, etc.. 5. Tongues were a sign of God's wrath, displeasure and judgment on unbelieving Israel, never a sign of His blessing and approval on Christians. "Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not"1 Cor.14:22 a) Acts 10:44-47; 11:16-18. Tongues used by Cornelius' household was a sign to unbelieving Peter and unbelieving Jewish Christians, that Gentiles were to be received into the family of God. In Acts 11:15 the phrase "as on us at the beginning" means that tongues had not been spoken since Pentecost which was 10 years earlier. b) "Forbid not to speak in tongues" (1 Corinthians 14:39) was always on the understanding that tongues was a valid sign to warn Jewish unbelievers, until judgment came in 70AD. You don’t warn people after judgment has come. c) In meetings where there were no unbelieving Jews, all teaching, praying etc. was to be in the language of those present (1 Corinthians 14:23-28). 1 Corinthians 14:19 states that in the church, 5 words understood are better than 10,000 words in tongues that are not understood. d) Israel wanted signs, but the church must live by faith. “An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign.” (Matthew 12:39). e) The Corinthians were using tongues as a mark of spirituality, for personal gratification, and to gain attention. Paul rebukes this childish, selfish practice. 6. Tongues is one of several temporary gifts. i) Apostles. "are built upon the foundation of the apostles ii) Prophets, …and prophets." Ephesians 2:20. Neither they nor the Lord appointed any successors to their office. "12 apostles of the Lamb." (Revelation 21:14). There are no Apostles or prophets alive today. iii) Knowledge. This was intuitive, revealed knowledge of doctrine before the Bible was completed. A completed, perfect Bible ended this gift along with prophecy in 96AD.1 Corinthians 13:8-13. Today we must study to gain Bible knowledge. 2 Timothy 2:15. (1 Corinthians 14:21,22. iv) Tongues. With the setting aside of Israel in 70 AD, tongues and other sign gifts ceased. v) Interpretation of tongues - ceased in 70 AD when tongues ceased. iv) Gifts of healing. Paul lost this gift, as he could not heal Epaphroditus in 64AD (Phil. 2:26,27), Timothy's stomach in 65AD (1 Timothy 5:23) nor Trophimus in 66AD (2 Timothy 4:20). In Acts 5:12-16, Peter healed every one in 33 AD. vii) Gift of miracles -no one can work miracles today at their will as could the first century apostles. viii) Discerning of spirits - no one today has this gift because discernment comes through Bible knowledge of strong meat, full age Christians who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil (Hebrews 5:14). No one today would claim infallible judgment always in every issue of life, which is what this gift demands (1 Corinthians 12:10). 7. Historically, tongues ceased after 63-70 AD. Tongues were withdrawn when Israel deliberately rejected the apostles testimony of Christ, as seen in Acts 28:22-28 where Paul pronounces God's judgment on Israel (63AD). Judgment fell in 70AD. In all New Testament epistles written after this pronouncement in 63AD (Romans; Ephesians; Philippians; Colossians; 1 & 2 Timothy; Titus; Philemon; Hebrews; 1&2 Peter; John; 1,2 & 3 John; Jude and Revelation) there is no mention of tongues. Why? Because with the setting aside of Israel, and the confirming of the word of God, sign gifts were no longer necessary. These facts of the gospel and the apostles message of the Bible having been established, confirmed, and authenticated for all time, it is now an act of unbelief to seek for signs today. Early church writers such as Polycarp, Papias, Cyprian, Chrysostom, Augustine, Origen, Clement of Rome, Justin Martyr etc. never mentioned tongues. Why? Because they had been withdrawn. Chrysostom says: "tongues....used to occur, but now no longer take place." 8. Modern tongues and Charismatic Movement is not another Pentecost or "latter rain" of Joel 2:23. Joel's prophecy discusses Israel's restoration to their land in the Millennium. When this happens, and not before, the Holy Spirit will be poured out on all flesh. What happened at Pentecost was only an illustration, a small sample of what will happen in the Millennium. At Pentecost, there were no signs in the sun, moon etc, thus indicating that Joel's prophecy is to be fulfilled in the future Millennium. Joel said nothing about tongues being a sign of renewal. This age will end in apostasy and departure from the Faith, not in Joel's revival. KEY: “Afterward” in Joel 2:28 means that the Spirit will be poured on all flesh after Christ’s second coming, and not before. 9. Tongues is not a sign of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit. "For by one Spirit are we all baptised into one body." 1 Corinthians 12:13. i) All believers have the Holy Spirit Baptism. "If any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his." Romans 8:9. ii) All believers have the Holy Spirit, but few believers spoke in tongues. If we have received Jesus Christ as Saviour, we also have the Holy Spirit in us, because we cannot separate members of the Godhead. 10. Tongues were never intended to edify the speaker himself or the church. i) "He that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort," 1 Corinthians 14:3. "For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted." 1 Corinthians 14:31. The edification, exhortation, learning and comfort of the local church was always the responsibility of the one who prophesied (gave instruction in an understandable language). ii) "He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself," (1 Corinthians 14:4) does not teach that personal holiness is found in tongues speaking. On the contrary it describes the Corinthians selfishness who used tongues for personal pleasure and public display. Tongues speaking in a church does not instruct, edify, warn or strengthen believers. Holiness through tongues will always be shallow because it is based on feelings, not on Biblical edification. iii) Of all the tongues spoken today, new prophesies, new revelations and visions, not one iota of truth have been added to the inspired scriptures. 11. Tongues were never intended for prayer, praise or worship of God. "For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the Spirit he speaketh mysteries." 1 Corinthians 14:2. God does not need to be spoken to in a foreign language. This verse teaches that the Corinthians were using the gift of tongues out of place. Tongues were meant to be spoken to men, that is to JEWS. A person praying or singing in tongues simply spoke "mysteries" in his own spirit. He received no real benefit, the hearers were not helped, and God was not glorified. Prayer and praise must be with understanding in the common language. "What is it then? I will pray with the Spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also.....Else.....how shall.....the unlearned say Amen at thy giving of thanks?" 1 Corinthians 14:15,16. This is not two different kinds of prayer, but two conditions of all prayer, praying in the leading of the Holy Spirit and with an understanding mind. If understanding is not present, hearers cannot say "Amen" to your prayer. 12. Tongues is not a sign of salvation. Assurance of salvation comes from faith in God’s Bible promises, not from any feelings of tongues. 13. Tongues is not a condition of keeping us saved. Pentecostalism, as a movement, does not believe in the eternal security of the believer who trusts in Christ alone for salvation. Many Charismatics think that their future preservation depends on continuing in the Charismatic experience. Many fear of grieving the Spirit and losing the power, and hence losing salvation. Some Charismatics do believe in the security of a believer in Christ. 14. Tongues are not a means of attaining holiness. The nine fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22,23 have no relation to tongues. The Corinthians came behind in no gift (I Corinthians 1:7), yet Paul called them carnal and babes (1 Corinthians 3:1). True spirituality is not determined by one's experience, gift or feelings, but by inner godly character (e.g. 1 Peter 3:4, "a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price", for ladies.) It is right to be happy, joyful and to praise the Lord, but valuable character is better seen in times of testing, persecution, misunderstanding and suffering. 15. All spiritual gifts should exalt Christ, not the Holy Spirit. Many Charismatics exalt the Holy Spirit above Christ. The Holy Spirit seeks to exalt Christ (John 15:26; 16:14). Hence the mark of a Spirit filled believer is that in life and speech, he glorifies Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:3). “Christ shall be magnified in my body." Philippians 1:20; 3:8. All gifts are given so that we may grow to the "fullness of Christ." Ephesians 4:13. Charismatics use the earthly, human title "Jesus", as did demons. No disciple ever addressed the Lord as "Jesus", but as Lord, Christ or Master, or Lord Jesus Christ. Let us give Christ His full honour as the Lord Jesus Christ. 16. All gifts were given to produce church unity and harmony. All gifts were given that there be no schism in the body (1 Corinthians 12:25). Truth unites, error divides. The continual search for tongues, healing, prophecy, gifts etc., has split many churches, broken friendships and divided homes. The Charismatic Movement claims a new kind of unity not based on Bible doctrine, but on having the tongues experience. One can be a "spirit-filled" tongues speaker and believe almost anything. Many Christians who a few years ago opposed the heretical World Council of Churches, now cheerfully unite with Catholic Charismatic renewal, hence compromising essential Bible truths. 17. Tongues and all spiritual gifts were to promote order and peace. "God is not the author of confusion but of peace." 1 Corinthians 14:33. "Let all things be done decently and in order." 1 Corinthians 14:40. Church services should have one person speaking or praying at a time. In today's Charismatic meetings, there is much unrestrained noise, singing, clapping, shouting, tongues and dancing. 18. No Christian should surrender control of his mind and will. Paul insisted that tongues and prophecy speakers should retain control of their mind and understanding: "If there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church." 1 Corinthians 14:28. "The spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets." 1 Corinthians 14:32. Famous Charismatic leader, Oral Roberts, instructs tongues speakers as follows: "We have to by-pass our mind and make it inactive for the moment. The mind slips into the background when we are praying in tongues and remains in a state of neutrality." [“Baptism With The Holy Spirit,” 1966, p. 42.] New Age occult seminars similarly tell people to blank out their minds to yield control to some higher force, which in reality is to demons. The New Testament never asks us to lay aside our sound mind, our self-control, our judgment or our reason, but to exercise these faculties in accordance with God's Word. Charismatics are told to overcome their inhibitions by by-passing their minds. People are brainwashed in cults like Jehovah’s Witnesses, Mormons and the Charismatic Movement by surrendering their minds and wills to the group or leader. The danger for a believer who submits his mind without resistance to outside influences to receive tongues, is: a) He opens himself up to psychic and demonic deception and control. b) He can place himself beyond the protection of the Holy Spirit, by asking for things contrary to God's will. 19. The last days will be characterised by deception, signs, lying wonders and more demon activity Satan has always opposed believers and God's work. Satan opposes us as an angel of light (2 Cor. 11:14). The Corinthian believers were open to Satanic deception of another Jesus, another spirit, and another gospel (11:4) as Satan’s ministers come as ministers of righteousness (11:15). "There shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matthew 24:24). In Old Testament times God permitted false prophets to work miracles in order to test His people. Two tests of false prophets are: a) If he performs signs to turn you away from the Lord. (Deuteronomy 13:1-5). b) If he speaks in the name of the Lord, but the prophecy does not come to pass. (Deut.18:20-22). Isaiah 8:19 describes familiar spirits that "peep and mutter", like tongues. Israel rejected the Word of God for more sensational dealings with the spirit world. Many see the Charismatic Movement as a Satanic deception permitted by God to test Christendom, and to pave the way for the Antichrist and the one world united Babylon religion of the last days. "Even him (Antichrist) whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness....." 2 Thessalonians 2: 9,10. "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me ye that work iniquity." (Matthew 7:22,23). 20. Charismatics confuse Baptism in the Spirit (a once only experience at salvation -1 Cor. 12:13) with the filling of the Spirit (a continual daily experience for service obtained by confessing sin, prayer, and yielding to Christ. (Ephesians 5:18). 21. Doctrinal compromise. Ministers who deny fundamental Bible truths such as the virgin birth, verbal inspiration, creation, etc. are often warmly welcomed and accepted if they claim a Charismatic experience. Charismatics warmly accept Roman Catholic priests and people who continue to seek salvation through the sacraments, who still pray to Mary, and still celebrate the mass. Doctrinal errors are ignored to keep Charismatic unity. 22. Most Charismatics are not diligent students of Scripture. One can remain comfortable in his false beliefs as long as he refuses to face Biblical evidence to the contrary. One Australian Charismatic pastor could not find the book of Daniel in his Bible. He had to look up the table of contents. He thought Daniel was near Exodus. 23. Emphasis on Experience. Personal experience is a great enemy of truth. When confronted with a mass of Biblical evidence, most Charismatics typically reply: "I know I am right. I have experienced tongues or healing myself. I have seen a prophet make correct predictions. I have seen people healed. The Bible teachings must have another explanation." Tongues is mostly a learned behaviour. If you blank out your mind, anyone can say gibberish. Most healings are temporary and are achieved by hypnotherapy. What about the false predictions? These make him a false prophet. Studies show that most Charismatic healings revert back to the illness. Hypnotise a person, tell them they feel better, and they will feel better, for a time, but later they revert back to the illness. 24. New Revelations. Charismatics continually claim to receive extra-Biblical revelations from God by tongues, prophecy, visions and dreams. Cults and Catholicism also claim revelations outside the Bible. 25. Damage to the local church. Many Charismatics use a local church as a base for propaganda purposes to invite people to a home Bible study and prayer group governed by self-appointed spiritual leaders who instruct in tongues and try to heal people. A local church seems too confined, compared with many people from many churches coming together for a Charismatic rally. 26. Laxity and moral danger. Some Charismatics think that they have "arrived" spiritually. They often lack motivation to press on further. The goal has been attained. Time for relaxation has come. Such carelessness explains much worldliness, sin and a rock music party atmosphere among Charismatics. Some receive "revelations" to divorce their spouse and remarry another person. Truth and reason then take a back seat. 27. Move back to Rome. The Charismatic Movement reversed the decline of the Ecumenical Movement from 1960. It is not a threat to Rome. Both emphasise emotionalism, miracles, healing, and the lack of final Bible authority. Charismaticism is not true Protestantism because it is not solely based on the Bible. reprinted with permission from Pastor Keith Piper. https://www.libertybaptistchurch.org.au/

  44. The vast majority of abortions would be aborted if people would just trust God as a provider. He provides for even those not following Him. It takes an extremely level of involvement in witchcraft and the occult to fall prey to completely blocking God's provision. That being said, I want to encourage you that that child is a blessing whether you can see that right now or not. Psalm 127:2 Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord. Now, not being a Christian I know that you do not hold the Bible to have authority, so I will say this to you. God promises in His Word if you seek Him with all your heart, you will find Him! That is all I did, and I SURELY found God to say the least. I practiced every major world religion looking for the truth and God did not move for me in any way until I reached out to the Holy Trinity, through His son Jesus Christ. Now say what you want about me knowing God, but my soul has been taken to both the literal Heaven and Hell and that only scratches the surface of my KNOWING God. The relationship is personal, interactive, and beautiful; beyond my wildest imagination, I never wanted to be a Christian! And by the way Heaven is SO much more amazing than anyone could ever imagine, and Hell is SO much worse than anyone can imagine. Realize you (all) have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. We all have. We all have broken the Ten Commandments; God's law. Have you lied? Have you stolen? Have you lusted after a woman your were not married to in your heart or mind? Have you used God's name as a curse word? These are all serious offenses and we've only look at 4 of 10 commandments. God is a righteousness judge, more righteous than the judges on Earth. No one will say to a judge, "judge, I stole from that man, but I am a really good person, I do a lot for people, let me go free?!" The judge is going to say, "You stole! And now you must pain the fine!" The Bible says the wages of sin is death, that is the fine. And truly it is an eternal state of constantly dying over and over again in anguish, pain, and agony; that is the best way I can describe my experience of Hell; burning and complete and utter torture by the demons who run Hell with every imaginable weapon and device. We got all of our wickedness here on Earth from that spiritual realm. Hell surpasses your worst day on Earth infinite times. But do you know what God did so sinners could be forgiven and make it into Heaven? God sent Jesus Christ, His only begotten son to show us how to have a relationship with His Father. Jesus was then sacrificed on the cross, and God poured His wrath out on Jesus; the spotless, sinless man, God took His wrath out on Him, for the Bible says without blood there can be no atonement for sins. So Jesus gave His blood; so much greater than the blood of animals! It's a free gift; salvation, all we have to do is accept what Jesus did for us to cleanse our sin and ask Him to come and be Lord in our life! We then have to turn away from our lifestyle of sin, and adopt a lifestyle of righteousness by learning what righteousness is by reading His Holy Word, coming into relationship with Him, and following His still soft perfect voice of love in our minds! His plan is beyond brilliant. I could talk for hours on how brilliant God is by how He has unfolded His plan in my life alone as I've followed the voice I learned and now know to be His. As we go through this process, God will then bring us a new heart with new desires, and our new heart will hate sin and love God and love the things of God! It is a real and true miracle! A true new heart of flesh! Truly, a literal new heart! Then we must just follow His unique, specific, and beautiful path He has created for our lives home to Him! We must pick up our cross daily, and follow Jesus by listening for and following His still soft, perfect voice of love! For in His plan, He will bring us His righteousness and set us free from all sin and bondage of sin and death! All fear vanishes, truly! And in following Him, He leads us Home and grants us everlasting life. This is the truth! And this is why we ALL need a savior, because we ALL fallen short of God's glory, no one can deny it, and all those things must be judged because God is good, just, and holy! But He is also rich in rich, so He sent Jesus Christ to pay our fine. And what Jesus suffering God to and on that cross is just another day in Hell, truly. Which is why the sacrifice was perfect and by accepting Him and following Him, God can be just to forgive our sin, because we put on Jesus Christ and His righteousness through His plan for our life! On the day of judgement, we can walk free from God's courts because the fine has been paid! But again we must repent; turn from our sin, deny ourselves, and in humility follow Jesus and His plan for our life! It is the truth. God loves you dearly! And yes, He surely can forgive you! God bless you, in Jesus' mighty name! I am here for you if you need ANYTHING! -Daniel do you know what God did so sinners could be forgiven and make it into Heaven? But do you know what God did so sinners could be forgiven and make it into Heaven?
