  1. Shalom Randy, I removed your link to the book so you know. As far as the comforter, the Bible is the best reference to the answers to that question. Joh 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Joh_15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: Joh 14:16 And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever, Joh 14:17 even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you. The Bible clearly defines who the comforter is -- and it's NOT A MAN! When are "counterfeits" made? BEFORE or AFTER the truth? Always AFTER the truth. Islam is a "counterfeit" religion as it manipulated what the truth is -- and counterfeited what the Lord said would take place in the last days. Mat 24:11 And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. Mat 24:12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. Mat 24:13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved. Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. May the Lord bless you as you seek the truth, Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George

  2. I've learned that the hard lessons are taught through suffering, unfortunately. Or fortunately: We tend to have a more indept value or meaning when we experience things first hand. A more true value in that relationship with Jesus. Some do not know this difference. They are still lost to this. They know to say the words, but lack that relationship or understanding of how deep it is. If you know this relationship you are Favored. Those that mocked you or abused you, probably have no clue or understanding of this. God could have done the same for HIS SON JESUS. Yet if Jesus' suffering did not occur, we would not know what it is to have a relationship with him. We wouldn't even have the opportunity to get to know him. As Wingnut said your testimony has much POWER and if you had not gone through, you would not have a TRUE testimony. That Powerful testimony! You can help God bring in so many others that are suffering and feel lost, alone and abandoned. I see you as Favored, because despite all the wickedness that was against you, you turning to satanism, you saying you did not really have a relationship with God. HE SAVED YOU. He had a RELATIONSHIP with you. Even when you didn't see it. He never let you go. Satan also tries to keep a hold on us by keeping us in the dark. Think on your past situations, you say God didn't do it, so we know who did and we know who still is trying to keep you in darkness. Negative thoughts, troubles, struggles, darkness. As with JOB Satan set him up to fail, but God in the end had the last say. With us Satan sets us up, but in the end God has the last say. Once again the reason for the suffering, is so we can have a REAL RELATIONSHIP and TESTIMONY so we can help serve God in his Glory. That REAL RELATIONSHIP IS FAVOR, at least to me. I pray God delivers you answers, comfort and continued strength to endure in your journey.

  3. *just wanted to share my verse for today to encourage By Phil Ware "I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them." —John 17:26 Thoughts on Today's Verse... Jesus reveals God to us. One of the reasons he does this is so that we can know who God is and what is important to him. Clearly, the most important thing on Jesus' heart in this prayer is that we share his love for us with each other. In this way, Jesus comes to life in us. My Prayer... Almighty God and loving Father, please fill me with your love for my brothers and sisters in Christ. I want to honor you in the way I treat them and share the love of Christ in the way I interact with them. Please bless me as I seek to be a more gracious child of your love. In Jesus' name. Amen

  4. True. Without the absolute standard for good and evil as declared in God's word, the terms become relative and are based on each person's perception.

  5. I have worked with some severally abused people. We think certain people like our father or Mother or husband or wife or child are the ones who are supose to love us. when people are not loved by those in traditional positions it tends to be a very painful betrayal, abandonment and injustice. I am convinced the pure form of selfless love comes only from God and he does make sure everyone recieves it. I always ask and all the kids, and severely abused i worked with did have love. It was a neighbor or a baby sister or a social worker or a friend or a dog. It just didn't always come from the people that they thought were obligated to love them.

  7. Very beautifully written, Steve. You do have the talent to write. I suppose people get "forgotten" overtime and due to circumstance, but not by those whose hearts have been touched by a kind, loving soul. It is understandable that in your age, you would reminisce or remember many things that has happened in life...the good and bad memories.. the what ifs.. the regrets. Take heart, Steve. One day you will meet her again! God bless

  9. No thank you....the first step in introducing the "implant" to society,it's all "offered" as an option for the employees convenience .....our entire society will accept just about anything if it makes things easier, more convenient, faster Not very long before everyone will "choose " these "options" because eventually will be no other way to buy or sell ......in the same way you cannot even park your vehicle on the beach or at the court house if you do not have a credit or debit card NO CASH accepted......We are watching as prophecy unfolds right under our noses and it sounds good......its not good, paper money is worthless & it is being phased out and soon people will not have any need to carry any form of ID because its such a good idea.....only in hind sight will anyone realize where society went wrong, imo

  10. None of us is perfect; we all sin. We repent and confess our sins to God, He forgives us... none of that gets in the way of our prayers. And the idea that God might use some small sin as an 'excuse' for not answering our prayers doesn't describe the God that I know - or that Jesus taught us about (Matthew 7:7-11). What can cause a problem is persistent, wilful sin or disobedience. Sin that we don't repent of. But having said that, there are many other possible reasons for unanswered prayer. You may not be asking for the right things. You may have the wrong motives (see James 4:1-3). Sometimes God's answer really is 'No'... and we all find that hard to accept. You could do that.. but it's a situation where you're at great risk of getting a false answer - either falsely reassuring or falsely judgemental. In my experience, we can't get prophecies or words of knowledge on a particular subject just for the asking, and I'd be very suspicious of someone who claimed to be able to. Now if someone in your church was spontaneously given a word of knowledge about your situation and brought it to you, that would be different.

  11. I think Jesus is more concern with your heart and relationship with him, first. Matthew 15:8-9 (NKJV) 8 ‘These people draw near to Me with their mouth, and honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. 9 And in vain they worship Me, Teaching as doctrines the commandments of men. I'm not saying there is a problem with tradition or ceremonies personally. Just if you lack the RELATIONSHIP, the Tradition/ceremony is pointless. We must remember the RELATIONSHIP is not just for asking (not saying that this is what you do, just making a statement), we must LISTEN CAREFULLY also. We tend to want an immediate Yes and it may not be that simple. Trust God, speak to him openly and Listen openly.

  12. It isn't as simple as that. There must be thousands, if not millions, of Christians who have had prayers answered before their baptism. On the other hand, baptism is an issue of obedience (it isn't just "a symbol of inward change"). If you are deliberately refusing to be baptised, then it's possible that unanswered prayer could be connected to your disobedience. But there definitely isn't a universal rule!

  14. “The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation". Hello Firestormx. Sounds to me God had to send you to hell so you would wake up and choose heaven. Happens to many of us, probably more than we think. He got my attention. What I notice, is those who have been forgiven much have a great love for God, a remembrance of having been there, the valley of the shadow of death, and a great sense of thankfulness, for being delivered from so much pain, to the arms of Jesus. This short hell on earth, as compared to an eternity in hell and torment, separation from our creator, for those who never got the wake up call, will be a small price to pay, compared to our creator stepping down from His throne, to be crucified for you. And me. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing when God allowed satan to show you the other side. He meant it for bad, God allowed it for good. Satan wanted you, God said no. When you are experiencing an eternity with other believers and our God in heaven, what about those who lived the abundant life of luxury here on earth, the ones you might have envied, and they never had a reason to rethink (repent) their life, never thought twice about having heard the gospel, and suffer an eternity in hell. I have no idea the agonies you suffered. It did get better for me, and God has shown me great and mighty favor. Undeserved. I Found out.............Get rid of toxic thoughts............... Php_4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

  15. Brother, If you ever need to talk or just vent, you can message me anytime. I hear you, as I'm sure so many others do as well, you are not alone. We all have our moments in the valley, and feeling like you are alone in this world is one of the worst feelings to have, I know this all too well. I am here for you if you ever need to talk, and you are in my prayers. Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. God bless

  16. Daniel 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his holy people and try to change the set times and the laws. The holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time, times and half a time. Who delivers the Holy people into his hand but God himself? How could the Antichrist overpower God's people and reign over earth without God wanting him to. Could anyone conquer and rule earth without God's help? Could you imagine how lovable and talented someone would have to be to rule over all nations? No one has ever come close. Where could such gifts and talent come from? Of course you will say the Devil, but could the Devil create such a person so lovable that the whole world (save for the elect) will worship him. I think God gives the Antichrist his Destiny and the gifts to achieve world domination. God has a purpose for everything under the sun, and He has a purpose for the Antichrist as well, don't you think? God clearly wills that the Antichrist reigns, no? Why does God will this?

  17. Not sure if this should be posted here or in prayer requests but here it goes. Kind of confusing so try to hang in there. My wife's nieces husband (got that). He had multiple affairs. One being with the nieces step sister. Another with the nieces (former) best friend. And multiple others. So he finally came clean about it and is going to an accountability group and has been meeting with other men etc. I don't believe he is doing enough yet but that is something they are working on. But anyhow, instead of supporting the daughter her parents, grandparents, etc. are making it about them. The stepsister is getting married this month and the grandparents asked the niece what they she should say when people ask why she isn't there. She said to tell them the truth. They said oh we can't do that we will just say you are having some family issues. The parents were having easter brunch at their house. They told our niece that if she couldn't be civil to the stepsister than they would prefer that she wouldn't come. The list of this type of stuff goes on and on. So I am not sure how to support her. I have thought about sending an email to the family with my thoughts and feelings but that may not be the best idea. I told my wife this morning that I am truly at a loss of what to do. She is too.

  20. There are not easy and direct answers to some strong questions, which call to divide people and take different positions and every one uses 'scriptures' to support their position. The answers to these questions are included in the heart of the Gospel. I the old testiment under the old Mossaic covenant, we heard the longing of the prophets of something they did not have. This is the one of the most important questions, what did the jews did not have in the old Covenant and hoped the Christ will bring. I have put the question in the suspence mode. We have some of the prophets in the old testiment who lived under the Law of Mosses and even though they had the provisions within their Law for the forgiveness of sins, they still long for something better regarding the forgiveness of ther sins. One of the most important thing to mention, there was not forgiveness for all their sins. To make something clear we are at this stage commenting about the Jews, or the twelve tribes and not the rest of the world . So one of the things to long for was to have Forgiveness for all their sins. That takes us to the part that, not only some of their sins were not forgiven or there was not forgiveness of those sins in their Law. (they were called the unpardonable sins) But in their Law they had the guidelines how those sins were punish, and many of those sins were punish by death, and by stoning, some other ones by excommunication, and they were considered the same as the Gentiles . LOST. So to review, a) One longing would have been to have forgiveness for all sins. And b) to take away the punishment of ther sins. There is also under the old testiment the longing not to be seperated from their Lord and not only, a) while they lived on earth, but b) also when they died, They long to be with him forever, to be able to enter his courts with thanks giving. Which was forbiten in their time and it was punishable by death. How do we aproch this burning question under the new Covenant who was ratified by the blood of Jesus Christ, who died for all our sins, who took the punishment for all our sins, been made the propitiation for our sins, Who has given us not just Life in his presents, (instand of death in the old), but he has given us eternal life so we can be with him always, whether we sin or not, Because even thought he knows our sins, he does not count our sins against us. Our sins are under his blood, purge by eternal founder of his blood, before we ever asks for forgiveness. In the imputed world our sins are taken away when we believe. In real time considered our consience then , how do we clean our consience, from the guild, or our selfs for our sins, when we are clean in his name , but not clean in our name. Heaven=clean in his name only. Or do we aproch this question under the rules of the old covenant and ignore the fact that we are under the new covenant.

  22. Same reason God gave Israel a king and Saul. The people cried out for a man to rule over them instead of God. After Saul the people were ready for David. If David came first the people had so much evil in them they would of martyred David cause they would be wanting a king that allows evil and extortion and injustice so they do not have to be corrected of wrongs. After a evil generation spend time under a king that turns evil on them they are ready to have a righteous and just king..

  24. Purification of the church. Simple. The only agenda that matters. If people do not repent and confess and believe, and therefore be saved by the blood of Jesus and the power of God, they are cast into the lake of fire forever. It's merciful and good to pressure His people into changing their hearts and minds instead of sitting back and ignoring the impurity of His children. The beast is the purifying fire that god sends on the church, not unbelievers.

  25. Pray! Pray for your wife and also pray "God can you let me know your answer?" Pray for both. I'm just saying his answer may not be an immediate Yes. It might be a not now, Wait. It may be I need you single right now for what I have planned in your life. It may be wait, I have to make her ready for you, as I have to make you ready for her. I'm giving examples, only God can answer you. I'm saying just make sure you aren't set on the immediate Yes, that you miss hearing his Whole answer.

  28. Satan can do nothing that God doesn't allow. The story of Job proves that. I'm not saying God did it. I'm saying God could have told Satan he couldn't touch me and then he wouldn't have been able to. I want to know how is it fair for some to never know what a real problem is while others suffer endlessly. I'm not angry, and I'm not responding in anger. You want to leave the convo, then I'm sorry to see you go. If you have already worked out all this for your life, then praise God. I haven't. So forgive me but I want this put to bed in my life. Once and for all. Which is why I'm here. See I believe Satan holds power over us when we keep things in the dark. So I choose to bring all this out here, with the hope that maybe I can finally get closure over all this.

  37. Most are unlovable. Yet we do what is right concerning others despite it all. For example forgiving some jerk who doesn't deserve it... because after all, we have been forgiven much... should we not forgive the little? The longer we live the more we see the depravity in others... and in ourselves. And we learn that the polly anna way we once looked at life and humanity has little to do with reality. The many friends.... always being helpful... always being faithful... I am a people person. I am a great public servant and customer servant. I quite often made $100 tips on individual runs in the limousine business. So I know how to be winsome and subservient (which most people eat up). But I learned a long time ago through a series of betrayals that true friends (the real deal / what a friend actually is) are NOT the frequent acquaintances most define as friends. And having hoards of them does not enrich your life. Jesus is the best friend you can have. ← that is what truly enriches your life. Next to that is your spouse. ← that is what truly enriches your life. And next to that is... yourself. ← that is what truly enriches your life. A friend is actually a fiduciary or they are no friend. And this is a two way street by the way. People in general... Cast your bread upon the waters and it will return to you. Your bread is your time talent treasure the waters are people and the return is blessings from... from... not people! But the Lord who commissions us to do this. The return is his reward. The bread you cast will be devoured by people like piranhas. I hope this casting of my bread helps.

  41. I agree with the 7000 year Plan of God for mankind. There was exactly 2000 years from Adam to Abraham, then 2000 until Jesus, now 1988 years since Jesus. Soon to come will be the "Sabbath" 7th 1000 year period of the reign of Jesus on earth. This timeline is proved by the years as given in the Bible. Now,with only a short time left of the Church age, we must be ready for all that is prophesied to happen before Jesus Returns.
    1 point
  42. I tend to look at the entire thing as the 7000 year plan of God. 2000 years from Adam to Abraham being called out. 2000 years from Abraham to Yeshua . 2000 years from Yeshua's first to His second coming. Then the 1000 year reign of the Messiah. Mirrors roughly the 6 day week with a seventh day Sabbath. 2 Peter 3:8 (NKJV) But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. Confirmed by.. Psalms 90:4 (NKJV) For a thousand years in Your sight Are like yesterday when it is past, And like a watch in the night. Based on the testimony of two witnesses (OT and NT), which is the prescription from the Mosaic Law for determining an issue, a day being equal to 1000 years in the plan of God is a valid argument. The 6 day week and Sabbath along with the feasts/festivals are considered rehearsals (miqra) and appointments of God's plan according to Leviticus 23, it is valid to assert the week as it was laid out by God is not also a rehearsal or reflection of the plan of God. Many in Jewish circles see a similar 7 day / 7000 year plan. With them, the 2 days / 2000 years before the final 1 day / 1000 years are called the "latter days". Much in the way we would consider Wednesday as "hump day", with Thursday and Friday as the down hill slide of the week. Many in Jewish circles also see a reign of the Messiah reflected in the 7th day / 1000 years. Not saying that it is a matter of fact, but it is a reasonable assumption, and fascinating to ponder. And it doesn't set a specific day or hour, which should not be done. But scripture does say we should be aware of the times and seasons.
