  3. Jesus suffered , all the Apostles suffered, many multitudes of disciples (ekklesia born again by the will of the Father in heaven) suffered. The suffering is detailed in Scripture, and in the testimony of the saints in Foxes Book of Martyrs. Yahweh says suffering is not only necessary, but that Yahweh uses the suffering to PERFECT US in CHRIST JESUS ! To get us away from thinking like the world, selfishly, to thinking like Yahweh, His Way, as He Desires in Christ Jesus.

  4. Rick warren -https://www.christianpost.com/news/rick-warren-covets-prayers-to-keep-pride-from-taking-him-down-50643/ One way he's been leveraging it is by supporting the marginalized and speaking up for those who don't have influence around the world, through such initiatives as his PEACE Plan. its interesting how the NAR ... twist the scriptures. just as well to keep reading the true scriptures then.

  5. That's no surprise. Every city Jesus sent the disciples to, they cast out demons ( a lot of them) and healed the sick ( a lot of them), and there was not a city where that was not true. footnote: unless, as Jesus could not do much in some cities, because there was so much unbelief there, the same happened (as happens here on earth today) for the disciples sent by Jesus.

  6. Probably not. But the Bible doesn't recognize "dating" as a thing. There are unmarried and married people. Those who are unmarried often have little contact until they get married. The idea of "dating" is a very modern concept, and frankly considering the divorce rate, the idea that we should be allowed to choose our own spouses through dating doesn't seem to be that important like people think it is. No person is perfect. If you're just going to "shop around" and hope to find one, you'll only be disappointed. Is this woman truly sold out for Jesus, prepared to fulfill the Godly role of a Biblically-submissive wife and mother? If so, she's a candidate. If not, flee from that relationship. Your mom wants you to date around to compare people? Compare what about them? What are your mother's standards even? Is she concerned with you finding a Godly wife? If you're the man, you're to be the leader of the home and ultimately the decision maker anyway.

  7. l don't think Christmas is satanic but it IS kind of silly. All the traditions around Christmas have nothing to do with Christ. Still, if people want to celebrate the day, I'm sure God is okay with it. Of course, there will always be the kill joys who try to rain on everyone else, no matter what the holiday.

  8. It is generally assumed by those that read the Genesis creation account literally that the days are consecutive. However, consecutive days are not specified in Genesis 1. Exodus 20 is often used to suggest that the creation days are consecutive, but the week could very well be symbolic. Is there strong Biblical reason to reject Gap creationism?

  10. Okay, I will start with an idea. With the ability to go online to places where you can read the Bible in various versions, it is not hard to print a page or more of a Bible text, just be certain to discover the legalities of what you may or may not do, from the copyright holder of your chosen version. That being done, you can format and print the text, using your chosen version in a word processor, and make it such that there is one or more, large columns which is left blank on the page. That way you may fill in the margins with the insights you gain as you study, making a life's work and heirloom. These margins can be things you learn from others, new insights you gain, things you purpose to work on or pray about, quotations you think are especially meaningful, cross reference verses, definition of original language words, etc, etc. The way I think works well, is to do this on 3 hole punched paper, so you can put it in a three ring binder notebook, or in smaller paper type 3 ring folders. If you really want to be fancy, buy one of those comb binder machines, or go to you local stationary store, where they may let you use their binding machines for free, many do, or, they will bind them for you for a nominal price.

  15. So much of 'christendom' is already compromised, hundreds of years ago, and for the last 100+ years in the USA. Not just "a little here, a little there" but everywhere, in every warp and woof , in every seam of society, throughout. The 'persecution' is not seen so much, because the fraudulent is prevalent. When the right and true is seen, it is attacked by the others in most cities/ countries/ areas. This has been so all along. (all of our lives, and for many generations). The 'pretend' 'christendom' has been more devastating in the modern world for over 100 years than the actual torture, imprisonment and slaughter has been in the communist and such other countries .

  18. Daily Reading 14 If you prefer, you can look up the following verses in your own Bible, of by whatever means and in whatever version you choose. Luke 12:1-31 Genesis 21 Psalm 14 Audio 7:42 Audio 3:59 Audio 0:59 The above addresses are linked to Bible Gateway. That is an easy way to read (or listen to) the Bible verses, and choose your version. Personally, I prefer written, that way I can go at my own pace, on think about it, before moving on. Nothing wrong with doing either or both. The Bible says faith comes by hearing. See the picture below to get an idea of what to expect if you follow the about links. Thank you Lord for making the your word so accessible for us in these times. Amen

  20. It was established by Rome. Its date was set as the Sun-Day god of Dec 25th. Yet another Roman Authority date followed by protestants and heathen alike. The festival of Sol Invictus on the 25th December in the later Roman empire combined the festivals of both the old sun god (Sol Indiges) and the new official sun god (Deus Sol Invictus). The Circus Maximus had been dedicated to Sol Indiges since ancient times, and then was dedicated to Sol Invictus. The Roman emperor Aurelian created the cult of Sol Invictus during his reign in AD 270-275 (in the 3rd century) and, on his coins, Sol was described as ‘Dominus Imperii Romani’, the official deity of the Roman empire. The cult of Sol Invictus was centred in Rome but it was followed across the Roman empire. Sol Invictus, the god of the sun, was one of the most important gods and he symbolised victory, as he defeated darkness and rose every morning. Sol Invictus was the patron of Roman soldiers. (See The Cult of Sol Invictus by G H Halsberghe (1972) and Roman circuses: arenas for chariot-racing by John Humphrey (1986).) Hi Psalms37:4 I believe the timing of the rapture is at the last trumpet (7th) 1 Corinthians 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. Revelation 16:17 And the seventh angel poured out his vial into the air; and there came a great voice out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, It is done. Resurrection, picking up of the saints, and the final destruction of Babylon is all done at the 7th trump, so end of trib. If the resurrection (rapture) is done before the trib, then it would say before the first trump.

  27. When I was a kid a boy I knew had been found abandoned as a baby in a trash can. It made the local news, but no one claimed him. After a while he was placed in an orphanage, and that's where his adoptive parents found him at two. The raised him as their own, and loved him beyond measure (truth to tell I was a little jealous of him, because his mom and dad doted on him). The only problem was his birthday. Bear in mind this was in the mid-fifties, and the county people really had no way of determining the exact day of his birth, so his parents randomly picked a day. And that became his birthday, from then until now. All that to say, no one knows the day Jesus was born (and I tend to agree with those who say it was in the autumn), but then, neither do I care. Most Christians pick December 25th, and I'm fine with that. All I DO care about is He was born, He saved me, and I get to celebrate His birth with a whole bunch of God's folk! Party time!

  32. The way of escape that is spoken of is through the Spirit....it is through walking by the Spirit and being led by Him.........rather than escaping problems and temptations in a physical way.........we just keep walking with the Lord and trusting and following Him, and soon find the issue has been put behind us in the past. Like Jesus just walked through the crowd that wanted to lay hands on Him and push Him over a cliff......that is a physical living parable of our walk with the Lord. This is why we are not to let our hearts be troubled......and wish I could say I have done that perfectly in my life, but I haven't.....though I have been learning and a lot less troubled than used to be, putting even a troubled heart behind and not nearly so troubled by evil reports now, thanks be to God. More like He gives us His Body with divers parts.........most churches are not functioning as a Body, they are functioning as antichrist organizations with one man as the Head.......rather than Christ by His Spirit as Head.......so test them very carefully. No, truly we are not promised a peaceful society to live in.......more like we are promised in this world ye shall have trouble..........just as Jesus did, and the early church. We really have only experienced a whitewashed society for a time, but God has been exposing how troubled our society really is in recent times......filth and corruption from the top down, in every sphere, religious, political, cultural and it is getting much worse before He comes, as people cast off restraint. It's with good reason God will judge the world.

  34. FWIW, Here's my story. I became a Christian at age 12 and am now in my mid 50s. I spent decades being very active in many different ministries while having a FT job and being married and raising 3 kids. About 7 or 8 years ago, God put me on the sidelines. Every ministry opportunity dried up. I got a boss that wouldn't let me do anything worthwhile. Basically, everything I'd been throwing my energy into for decades disappeared. I first assumed attack of the enemy, unconfessed sin, a new direction in life via closed doors looking for new doors, etc. After a year or more of that, I started to shut down. Basically, it was God trying to get me to slow down, relax, and stop being busy doing stuff. Over the course of a couple years, God brought me to the point where I saw I'd been making my identity by what I was doing. I was measuring myself by being a good Christian, a good husband, a good father, a good employee, using my gifts and talents, and by how much fruit I was seeing in my life. I'd look in the mirror every morning shaving and thing to myself "Loser!" I felt like I was falling short of everything I had the potential of achieving spiritually in spite of how hard I was trying and how much time and effort I was putting in. The bottom line: 30 odd years of having been a Christian and I felt like I was at a loss of what to do next. God finally made it clear to me that I had no idea of *who* He created me to be. I had defined myself by what I was *doing*, not by who God wanted me to *be*. He slowly opened my eyes that He wanted my life to be about being the unique person He had created me to be; not running myself ragged checking off items on a spiritual todo list. As I started living my Christian life from the perspective of being who God made me to be, I found that ministry and other things started to flow naturally. He did some healing on some emotional and spiritual wounds and bondage that I never knew were there. Within a month or so, my wife and daughters were commenting on how different I seemed. In the past few years, I feel like I've been accomplishing more when I minister to people than I had in the previous decades. Some things I'd been working on for years have just started flowing easily and growing naturally. My spiritual walk with God is more comfortable and stronger than it had been before. The bottom line is that I changed my spiritual life from working at *doing* the giant spiritual todo list (that I was mostly making up for myself) and replaced it with *being* who God created me to be.

  35. Hello EJT. I believe whenever anyone commits to the tiniest bit of obedience, they are in the will of God. No matter our profession, we are all servants. When we trust the Lord and acknowledge Him, and not our own understanding, He will make our path straight. I personally wondered many times in my life when the direction changed, going where I thought nowhere, yet now I wouldn't change anything, as God has blessed me and my family mightily. My greatest and life changing blessings came during the leanest and meanest years. Which is the greatest, the well known evangelist behind the pulpit leading so many to Christ at the revival, or that young part time minister who led that evangelist to the Lord years before?

  36. There are or could be many external reasons for that. The simple one is found sooner or later by reading in the worthychristianlibrary.com for 'confirmation' of Yahweh's WORD that you already read and know and probably were told "why" but haven't been able to bring yourself to accept it yet, perhaps not until someone else points it out from Yahweh, from Scripture. It is actually a very common "deep down" and "value" and necessary to find out to live as CHRIST JESUS lived and as the FATHER in HEAVEN directs us all to live IN HIM, obediently, with instant obedience, with fullness of joy, peace and righteousness CONTINUALLY, DAILY, as written of the ekklesia in the NT. Yes, this is very common also. (and is meant to be resolved, but most people are told NOT TO ) THis is possible as HE SAYS in HIS WORD "let not many desire to be teachers,....." etc ..... because of the much more severe discipline needed , and the judgment we receive as teachers instead of being other workers supporting teachers for the Gospel's Sake in Jesus. The responsibility for others is far greater than 9999 of 10000 realize. The angels REJOICE IN HEAVEN when ONE SOUL, just ONE, is saved ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! (and FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE SAVED) And all the true believers with them REJOICE EXCEEDINGLY ALSO !!!!!!!!! David Wilkerson "Cross and the Switchblade" book, "Teen Challenge" , GOOD SERMONS ONLINE STILL (David died a few years ago). He did not need the addicts, prostitutes, drug dealers, and defiled ministers/pastors to be there for him. God sent David to HEAL THEM, to DELIVER THEM (including many demons cast out) , and to MAKE DISCIPLES OF THEM, SERVING JESUS as JESUS SAYS. This is normal also, and very common. The "GROWTH" YAHWEH can give to you is NECESSARY, so keep seeking HIM. Jesus was misunderstood , and is still today misunderstood by the majority of people visiting and by all who are living on earth. "THIS SPOT IS LEFT BLANK ON PURPOSE" Yes, YAHWEH CREATED everything SIMPLE. Men came up with MANY DEVICES. (distractions, lies, subterfuges, other ways, etc) Yes. True. Being set free from complacency can be a long time dealing by YAHWEH, or might take 2 minutes. The world is dark. ("dark terms") and dangerous. Most of the world REJECTS THE LIGHT OF HOPE (JESUS), because they are evil, their deeds and lives and actions and thoughts are evil. It is EPIC, in the sense that eternal judgment, death, separation from everything good, and more, is the result. "Mediocre" may be the same as "dead" and "separated from LIFE; opposed to JESUS" : JESUS is NEVER mediocre. Yahweh's PURPOSE is PERFECT, completely provided for in JESUS (sin, guilt, shame, JESUS BORE ALL FOR US IN HIM), PROVISIONS for all life , generously , from the FATHER in HEAVEN, HE PREPARED COMPLETELY <BEFORE> the world was even created. (PLANNED, ACCOUNTED FOR, KNEW EVERYTHING, KNOWS EVERYTHING, IS NEVER SURPRISED) MAIN MESSAGE ? ! <<< CHRIST CRUCIFIED !!!!!!!>>> and RAISED FROM THE DEAD so that we may have hope for life everlasting ! OVERFLOW WITH HIM ALWAYS , always, abide in HIM. Amen. HALLELUYAH! MARANANTHA ! COME QUICKLY LORD JESUS !

  37. I go to church to worship and praise God in the congregation, and to study the Bible (our sermons). Some people are called to minister through the church and some through other organizations. Some go door to door and reach out at local events like the fair. My philosophy is to bloom where you are planted. Minister first to your family, reach out to friends and co workers. We have a local mission that provides opportunity for ministry and some lead music there, others give a message or a testimony.. There are nursing homes that welcome ministry as well, and local chaplaincy service. There is nothing wrong with reaching out to the community through other organizations. By shutting doors in your church God may be guiding you to minister elsewhere. I am sorry your dreams to minister have fallen through. I didn't really want to hear that my home is my mission field, and extended family and friends. But God impressed on me that this is my most important area of ministry. God may tell you otherwise. The apostles were told to go first to Judea and Samaria, and then to the world. We start at home and move out from there. Our son sends a message by text every morning to his family. It includes a Scripture and a short word of encouragement. It is hard for him to see his teenagers all the time because of schedules. But he reminds them daily of God's word and prays for them. He is a cool dad. Don't be angry at the church or at God, or even at yourself. That just makes you unusable. Instead rejoice in the Lord and trust Him, even when you don't feel like it.

  38. A Christian church in general is sacred. A Christian should not break away from his church. Another matter is how often you go to church. I go to church rather seldom. That is why every visit is important. If a person thinks that it is an obligation to go there regularly even when he has no desire I think it is wrong. I go there seldom but every visit is a holiday and a very important event. May be people feel disillusioned because they expect from the clergy to be like saints. They are not as a rule. As a rule they are the people with their weaknesses. Sometimes it is depressing. But you should know that a church is not an assembly of holy people but of common sinners who are eager to get rid of their sins. Sometimes it takes a long time. Go to church without unnecessary expectations, go there to be with Jesus. Be tolerant to the clergy. They are people like you. Do not pay any attention to what is wrong in your eyes. Feel free and relaxed. If tired go home. That is what I think and do and I am not disillusioned. May be that will also help you.

  39. Are you limiting yourself to a particular denomination or range of denominations? My sense is that while there is some variation between congregations within a particular denomination, they typically share a lot of common characteristics. Could part of what you've seen could be attributed to that? A deeper question is who has God made you to be? I spent about the first 30 or so years of my Christian walk making my identity the gifts and talents I had as well as the ministries I was involved with. I was often frustrated and felt like I just needed to find my "call" and the right ministry to be involved with or to start on my own. It wasn't until a few years ago that God started working on me to see the Christian life as "being" who He wanted me to be than "doing" the right activities. I found that as I focused on being who He made me to be and walking more closely with Him as that unique person that activities and ministries seemed to come much more naturally to me. Instead of laboring hard to try to see results and find the right thing to do, it was like I could just watch God do stuff and see things naturally happen. A lot of the stress I had about trying to find what I thought I needed to be doing disappeared.

  42. Hey One, I understand your point, but I think when you ask if it is within the realm of logical "possibility" to read an idea into a communication from God for which there is no textual basis, you set a very low (and potentially dangerous) standard for Biblical interpretation. In my opinion, when you start down that path you should experience flashing red lights, the ringing of alarm bells, and the tingling of spidey senses (in a spiritual sense, of course). To close down that "possibility" would require an unreasonable degree of redundancy. The Bible would be huge. I.e. God would have had to summarised His account in Genesis 1 with the caveat, "By the way, when I say day, I mean day in the ordinary, everyday, 24 hour sense of the word. And when I number the days, I mean that the start of the subsequent day immediately follows the end of the previously numbered day. And when I say I created something on a particular day, I mean that I created literal, physical entities which did not exist before the day I created them (and I am still using day in the ordinary, everyday, 24 hour sense of the word - so don't even go there)." (Somewhere in Genesis 1) Such caveats are completely unnecessary for, and intrinsically obvious to, everyone reading the account without an agenda to fit ancillary ideas into the narrative.

  44. Taking a blind leap of faith is a good thing if you had been praying about it and you feel that your actions are where God wants you to be. You are at peace. Do not worry about the ugly things that Satan is whispering in your ears. Maybe he wants you to remain with your family and be abused. Just continue to give your life to God and ask Him to guide and direct your steps in this new journey of yours. Perhaps it is healthier for you to give your family distance. Let yourself heal. God bless.

  46. Kiwi, you can not force anyone to accept Christ so I don't think its possible that God will judge you for them not being lead to Him. If you are as you said trying to be a positive influence then, you should just pray for opportunities to witness. I undertand where you are coming from in this (I think). My family is mostly unsaved and I have friends and neighbors that are unsaved. I try my best to be a good example of what a true Christian should be, and pray for opportunities to share with them the true gospel. The most important thing is staying right with God and following the leading of the Holy Spirit in your life. Christ will give you boldness when necessary to share either your testimony, or a word of wisdom, or even the entire gospel. You should know how to witness, the Romans Road is a good place to start, and walk with God so as to have an answer for the hope that lies within you. From there God will give you opportunities to be "salt"and "light" in this world. You can email me or message me if you have any questions about what I have posted. I am not an expert on witnessing and sometimes feel guilt for not taking opportunities that are there to witness. So, I am far from perfect at this (just forgiven), I have been involved in evangelistic teams though and can share some of my training/experience.
