  1. That's Ed Zackly right brother. And we are made new when we come to faith in Him. But if any commits sin, that is not walking in His Spirit, that is walking in the old creature of flesh. Rom 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

  2. Interpretation of Holy Scriptures is not meant to be done by carnal methods, it must be by faith. "But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin." - Romans 14:23 The interpretation the flesh would offer will be just plain heresy. Unless one believes something good may come out of the flesh. "For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells..." - Romans 7:18 Yes, it may seem good... But what the flesh offers is: Death, destruction, deceit. "And Jesus answered and said to them: Take heed that no one deceives you." - Matthew 24:4

  3. Because it comes by faith, not by trusting in the flesh and its senses and methods to interpret it ED ZACH LEE , he does agree . This is why the next time a man says you got to take it in CONTEXT , and yet THEIR VERSION their CONTEXT DENIES the very thing the SCRIP is really saying , YA FLEE and don't look back. If I had a dime for every time I heard folks say OH , but you got to take it in context and then they explain their context and it DENIES the very simple and very PLAIN thing that scripture said , I could probably feed half of America by now . These are sad and deceptive times we aer in , and Watch where THIER CONTEXT is going to lead them . NOT GOOD at all. IT WILL GET WORSE .

  4. Sister you loved . I got a trivia question which I know you know , and thus I am really saying it to remind US ALL. You know where it says we are to walk in the newness of THE SPIRIT . What SPIRIT would that be . drum roll......................................HOLY SPIRIT . I thinks lots of folks may have forgotten THE HOLY PART . SO here is the question. HOW do we KNOW if one is truly walking in the newness of the SPIRIT. WELL, by their walk OF COURSE . FOR IF its truly the HOLY SPIRIT they follow , well if we walking IN the SPIRIT by ITS Grace and its power ITS a HOLY , BE YE HOLY WALK . May all raise hands and praise the LORD . see how simple that was . And I did not need crafty ever so wise techniques to explain it . Have you ever noticed , sister, that the wisdom that comes FROM ABOVE needs no man to twist it , to make it make sense . ITS JUST PLAIN to those who are HIS .

  5. Amen brother.....and also it says that we serve in the new way of the spirit, not the old way of the letter.....and that way the LORD gets the glory.....Christ, HIS Spirit. There are many who say things from the bible, but it is only like theoretical knowledge to them and they do not experience His Spirit in reality. The good news for these ones.....is that we can....by faith.....and actually need to. Jhn 14:26 “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

  6. That is why they could not correctly interpret the Scriptures... They just read and studied it, and denied the Spirit of it. "But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." - James 1:22 Because without the Spirit no one can understand it, nor practice it. "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." - 1 John 4:8 And while denying the Spirit, they will never be able to understand it. Because it comes by faith, not by trusting in the flesh and its senses and methods to interpret it. "But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." - 1 Corinthians 2:14 It is a sad thing to trust in the flesh. "Thus says the Lord: Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the Lord." - Jeremiah 17:5

  7. Shapes, you need to do this. He is still teaching me how to trust Him. I thought I trusted Him, but then He shows me I have to trust Him more - and believe, no matter what the circumstances are. Our faith does not depend on our circumstances. I am feeling your pain, Shapes - but there is no one except Jesus who has saved you, my friend, and will continue to do so, if you will follow Him.

  8. Answer: A A believer who spends time in regular prayer and in the scriptures will over time display increasing spiritual maturity. In other words: They will begin to display an increasingly Christ-like character over time because their heart has been changed. That process can take longer than you think. Also: what Yowm said. It is possible for a person to have great biblical knowledge - and not be a believer at all. Some of it comes back to what Jesus said about "by their fruits ye shall know them."

  9. Good thing for us that our God is tough! You may have rejected and hurt Him for many years, but He's not going to give up on you because of it. Just having a momentary doubt in your head isn't going to block you out of heaven; that's the devil putting that doubt there, and then beating you over the head for having a doubt! When it came, you immediately rejected it and realize it isn't true, right? You've done the right thing there. Look up Voddie Baucham's message on true brokenness on Youtube. It can help you repent and understand God's patience better. God bless you!

  11. There are many Christians who are anticipating the building of a/the third temple in Jerusalem, Israel (or Palestine)---either because they believe that it is going to be a good thing (that God will return to the Jewish people when the temple is rebuilt), or because they know that it is going to be built for the worship of the antichrist and see it as a sign of the Lord's imminent return. Both are wrong. The first camp is wrong because they believe that God wants the Jewish temple to be rebuilt (He doesn't; He is the one who destroyed the last one!) and is going to return to Judaism and to some temple that is going to be rebuilt in earthly Jerusalem, which He is not. Some of the Jews will return to God---through faith in Jesus Christ, whereby they will no longer be Jews by religion but Christians----but God is not going to return to either Judaism or to the Jewish temple if one is rebuilt in Jerusalem. If a temple is rebuilt in Jerusalem, it will be for the worship of the antichrist, not God. That's nothing to celebrate. The second camp is wrong because they think that the rebuilding of the temple means that Jesus must be coming back soon, because they know that the temple will be rebuilt for the worship of the antichrist, and believe that Christians won't be here on the earth for that---when in fact, we will. Jesus is not coming back any minute; He is coming back on the last day of the great tribulation (which will be approximately three and a half years from when the antichrist's mark and worship are implemented and instituted----a period of testing and judgment of the saints, and of the judgment of the unsaved, which was "cut short"---that is, in half---by God from Daniel's original seven years), at which time He will destroy the antichrist. (But He won't take His seat in the temple in Jerusalem after doing so). So, while camp two is correct about the temple being built for the antichrist and not for God, they are wrong about the timing of Christ's return. And they also misunderstand the meaning of 2 Thesssalonians 2:4, which speaks about the antichrist taking his seat in the temple of God and proclaiming himself to be God. I am going to explain here for you, with the help of the Spirit of the Lord Jesus---who has given me understanding to prepare His people for the time soon to come---the meaning and significance of this Scripture, and its implications for us (Christians). I hope you will take what I share with you to the Lord (with clean hands and a pure and sincere heart) and ask Him to show you the truth about it, so that you will know it for yourself with certainty, and do whatever may be appropriate for you to do about it. Here is what 2 Thessalonians 2:3,4 says (quoting the English Standard Version translation of the Bible): Let no one deceive you in any way, for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God. The "rebellion" to which Paul is referring here is the rebellion of the saints (Christians), that is, apostasy, that will reach its peak in the last days. (See 2 Timothy 3:1-5, 4:3,4.) These same rebellious saints are the "transgressors" (of God's law, the law of Christ) referred to in Daniel 8:23. We are in the midst of those days now. It is only a matter of time before the antichrist is revealed and the tribulation begins. (And if you are saying to yourselves, "'Apostasy'? What 'apostasy'?" or "Christianity is doing great! It has some problems, sure, but it's not as bad as all that", Jesus said that a wicked and adulterous generation does not recognize the signs of the times, and that is what the majority of Christians today are in God's sight: Wicked and adulterous---lovers of self and of the world, unholy, and rebellious against the commandments and teachings of the New Testament and the will of God, which so many believe they do not have to live by, because to do so is 'legalism'. It's actually the love of God; and you don't have it if you don't obey Him (according to God, not me). What did Jesus have to say to the church at Ephesus? To Sardis? To Laodicea (who didn't realize how wretched they were in God's sight, by the way)? Did He tell them they weren't that bad and that they had nothing to worry about because He had paid it all for them and because He knew they couldn't do any better and He didn't expect them to? No, He did not. You know very well what He said to them, and what had happened and was about to happen to them. Most Christians don't realize their own wretchedness in the sight of God and how far they have fallen short of His New Testament standard (which is still His standard), because they favor the teachings and opinions of men over the doctrine of Christ. You are the sign of the times, rebellious Christian; you are the "transgressor". You are fulfilling that Scripture, and the judgment of God is coming upon you---through the person of the antichrist.) There is only one temple of God (on earth), and it will not be any temple that may be built in Jerusalem; nor will any temple built there be holy in any way. It will be a temple of Satan, for the worship of Satan, who will be indwelling the person of the antichrist and from whom all his power and 'wisdom' will come. That is not the temple of God. If such a temple is built, which I don't doubt one may be, it will be an utterly unholy place, where the antichrist and/or his image will most certainly belong---because it will be his temple! This is the temple of God, (where the abomination of desolation does not belong): Do you not know that you (brothers) are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy and you (brothers) are that temple. (1 Corinthians 3:16,17) ...You are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In Him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by His Spirit. (Ephesians 2:19-22) As you come to Him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. For it stands in Scripture: "Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in Him will not be put to shame." So the honor is for you who believe, but for those who do not believe, "The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone," and "A stone of stumbling and a rock of offense." (1 Peter 2:4-8) The cornerstone of the true temple of God is Jesus Christ---the very stone which the builders of any new Jewish temple have rejected. They will receive the antichrist as their messiah and as their god, and will build a temple for him. God has nothing whatsoever to do with it. It will no more be His temple than Saint Peter's Basilica. So why do the Scriptures say that the antichrist will 'take his seat in the temple of God' if the temple of God is the church of Christ? Because most of the saints will fall away from Christ during the tribulation and will worship the antichrist---the abomination that makes desolate. Why will they do this? Because they do not love God, as they have been proving to Him by their rebellion against His word and His will, and He is going to judge them by giving the impenitent rebels among His people into the hand of the antichrist to be conquered and destroyed (spiritually). They will not have the spiritual support from Jesus to withstand the temptation when it comes, and so will choose to save and preserve their earthly lives by taking the mark of the beast and worshiping his image, rather than preserving their eternal life at the cost of persecution and martyrdom. "Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another...And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved." (Matthew 24:9-13) And some of the host and (or 'that is') some of the stars it (the antichrist) threw down to the ground and trampled on them. It became great, even as great as the Prince of the host. And the regular burnt offering was taken away from Him, and the place of His sanctuary was overthrown. And a host will be given over to it (the antichrist) together with the regular burnt offering because of transgression...Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the one who spoke, "For how long is the vision concerning the regular burnt offering, the transgression that makes desolate, and the giving over of the sanctuary and host to be trampled underfoot?" And he said to me, "For 2,300 evenings and mornings. Then the sanctuary shall be restored to its rightful state." (Daniel 8:10-14) The "host" mentioned here in Daniel is Christians (the people of Jesus Christ, who is the Prince of the host). The regular worship of God will be taken away from Him when the saints forsake Jesus Christ and worship the beast---the ultimate transgression, the abomination which makes desolate. Those who do this will be left desolate, just as the temple of the Jews was left desolate when they rejected Jesus Christ as their Messiah. Only people who have God can be abandoned by Him and made desolate, and unsaved people are already empty and alone. They cannot be made desolate. (See also the Lord's warning to the church in Ephesus in Revelation chapter 2 related to this subject of saints being forsaken by God for apostasy.) And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes desolate, until the decreed end is poured out on the desolator. (Daniel 9:27) (This is translated differently in the KJV, and the events mentioned in Daniel 9:24-27 are events with more than one fulfillment, the first fulfillment being the destruction of the Jewish temple and the city of Jerusalem in 70 AD.) What 'wing of abominations' (or 'overspreading of abominations' KJV)? The outer court of God's heavenly temple---His worshipers on earth---which is presently filled with all manner of uncleanness, due to the apostasy of the saints. This is the 'outer court' which is going to be trampled by the children of the devil during the tribulation, just as the temple of the Jews was razed and trampled underfoot by the Gentiles as God's judgment on them for rejecting Jesus. The temple was not destroyed in an act of persecution against the Jews, but as an act of God's judgment on the Jews for being disobedient to the gospel. And He is about to judge Christians in the same way. As Jesus said: "You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet." (Matthew 5:13) "Rise and measure the temple of God and the altar and those who worship there, but do not measure the court outside the temple; leave that out, for it is given over to the nations, and they will trample the holy city for forty-two months." (Revelation 11:1,2) The holy city is represented by her citizens (also the case in Revelation 20:9). Christians are the citizens of heaven and of the heavenly Jerusalem to come, and God recognizes us as His city on earth, just as His church is His temple on earth. "Go now to My place that was in Shiloh, where I made My name dwell at first, and see what I did to it because of the evil of My people Israel. And now, because you have done all these things, declares the LORD, and when I spoke to you persistently you did not listen, and when I called you, you did not answer, therefore I will do to the house that is called by My name, and in which you trust, and to the place that I gave to you and to your fathers, as I did to Shiloh. And I will cast you out of My sight..." (Jeremiah 7:12-15) "I have forsaken My house; I have abandoned My heritage; I have given the beloved of My soul into the hands of her enemies. My heritage has become to Me like a lion in the forest; she has lifted up her voice against Me; therefore I hate her...Go assemble all the wild beasts; bring them to devour." (Jeremiah 12:7-9) So do not become proud (Christians, Gentiles), but stand in awe. For if God did not spare the natural branches (the Jews), neither will He spare you (Christians, Gentiles). (Romans 11:21) For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us (Christians), what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God? And "If the righteous is scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?" (1 Peter 4:17,18) So now you know what the abomination of desolation is, and what the "temple of God" in which the antichrist will take his seat will be. It won't be because Christians actually believe that the antichrist is God that they will take his mark and worship his image; they will not be deceived, just scared and jealous for themselves and their lives on earth rather than for their life in Christ, which they have already proven to God that they do not value. The non-elect will be deceived. Christians will not: Their taking of the mark will be an act of knowledgeable, willful sin---rebellion. Whether the antichrist takes his seat in a Satanic third temple built in earthly Jerusalem or not, that is not the significance of 2 Thessalonians 2:4 for Christians. If you are a transgressor of the law of Christ, a rebel who has been justifying his or her disobedience in this way or that, a Christian who does not have a good conscience toward God and who is fearful of death because your love for Him is imperfect (1 John 4:18), the time to repent is now. The saints who wash their robes will be delivered by God from the tribulation---whether by life or by death (mostly by the latter way). Those who do not repent will be overcome by the antichrist in the time of testing and will perish spiritually. Desolations are decreed. (Daniel 9:26) One way or the other---either by sinning saints washing their robes, or by the soiled saints who refuse to do so being cleaned out of His city and His sanctuary by means of His judgment during the tribulation---which He will carry out through the antichrist, as He carried out His judgment on His former people through Nebuchadnezzar in the time of Jeremiah, whose time is a spiritual parallel to ours---at the end of those days, God's sanctuary will be cleansed, and will be restored to its rightful state when Christ returns and brings all things to an end.

  12. This is how earthly Jerusalem is described by God during the tribulation (during the reign of the antichrist): SODOM and EGYPT (Revelation 11:8). Look out for dogs, look out for the evildoers, look out for those who mutilate the flesh. For we are the real circumcision, who worship by the Spirit of God and glory in Christ Jesus and put no confidence in the flesh... (Philippians 3:2,3) "Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, but you say that in Jerusalem is the place where people ought to worship." Jesus said to her, "Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem will you worship the Father...The hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and truth." (John 4:20-24) "But it was Solomon who built a house for Him. Yet the Most High does not dwell in houses made by hands, as the prophet says, "Heaven is My throne, and the earth is My footstool. What kind of house will you build for Me, says the Lord, or what is the place of My rest? Did not My hand make all these things?' "You stiff-necked people, uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit. As your fathers did, so do you. Which of the prophets did not your fathers persecute? And they killed those who announced beforehand the coming of the Righteous One, whom you have now betrayed and murdered, you who received the law as delivered by angels and did not keep it." (Acts 7:47-53) And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. (Revelation 21:22)

  13. Where too shall we liken this generation . It is like a father telling his son , SON I want you to have joy and peace and be happy . You need to heed my instructions and do as I tell you and happy you will be . So the Father gives his son a list of duties and then Leaves to go on his journey . The son sees , take out the trash , do the dishes and mow the yard . Along comes the serpent and tells the boy, Boy what is wrong . And the child says , my father left me a list to do , to mow , to take out the trash and to do the dishes . And the serpent says , Son you are taking it all out of context . You have to see it in context . Your father said HE wants you to be happy , he wants you to have joy and peace , SO clearly this is NOT what your father MEANT for it does not give you joy , peace . WHAT DO YOU SUPPOSE will happen when the Father returns from his trip . He will punish the wicked boy . Talk about seeing things in context . WE better start following the SPIRIT and not men .

  14. I'd be interested in hearing what the scriptural qualifications are for this "pretrib rapture" group. I'm curious as to what qualifies them to escape tribulation when no one else down through the centuries, that I'm aware of, has qualified for it. It must be something pretty special, something on the level of Enoch or Elijah?

  18. Genesis 28:12 - "And he had a dream, and behold, a ladder was set on the earth with its top reaching to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it." The word translated "angel" in the text is the Hebrew word "Mal'ak" (mal-awk'), which means to despatch as a deputy; a messenger; specifically, of God, ie. an angel (also a prophet, priest or teacher). The point is the messengers that are to ascend and descend upon this ladder are not just angelic beings, but God's messengers, which WE ARE CALLED TO BE. 2 Timothy 3:5 - "Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away." ANY REVELATION FROM TODAY'S WORD THAT DOES NOT LEAD US TO AN ENCOUNTER WITH GOD ONLY SERVES TO MAKE US MORE RELIGIOUS. THE CHURCH CANNOT AFFORD "FORM WITHOUT POWER" FOR IT CREATES CHRISTIANS WITHOUT PURPOSE. THOSE WHO RESTRICT THEMSELVES TO MERE WORDS LIMIT THEIR GIFT, AND MAY UNINTENTIONALLY LEAD BELIEVERS TO PRIDE BY INCREASING KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT INCREASED AWARENESS OF GOD'S PRESENCE AND POWER. MOVING IN THE IMPOSSIBLE THROUGH RELYING ON GOD SHORT-CIRCUITS THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRIDE. Matthew 10:7,8 - "And as you go, preach, saying, 'The kingdom of heaven is at hand.' 20. A word of knowledge is given by revelation and is not something we learned by man's efforts. Prophecy is given for the strengthening and encouraging of the church. It rarely foretells the future. 1Co 14:3 On the other hand, the one who prophesies speaks to people for their upbuilding and encouragement and consolation.

  21. Ask and pray to God if that is what He wants you to let go of. The Holy Spirit of God knows what is best for our life and also our walk with Him. Depending on your life and the trauma/sin that you have experienced in your life and how much you have dealt with it in Him or still need to overcome from it, finding someone for marriage, may not be what is best for you at this time. Maybe God wants you to keep focusing on Him and having a close daily relationship with Him first, so that He may become able free you more and more of past traumas/sin and to finally come to be in a place of peace not matter what circumstance you find yourself in this life. When you will be totally at peace with God and are living completely for Him in all that you do, you will feel free and well, It will no longer be a concern if having a family would make you happier as He will have completed in you to be content in whatever life situation you are in. Please know that marriage, will not solve inner problems or traumas. Many people can live very worthwhile lives outside of marriage. God mentions that, the First thing we should do as Christians is that we should build First build our house on a rock, where the foundation i firm& strong, so that no matter how high the winds or the storms, we will remain ok and safe. Matthew 7:24-27 Build on the Rock 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”

Listen , this world is one big THORN, and noone gets out of here alive. So, everyone hurts, everyone suffers, but , we belong to the Eternal Good, and no matter how difficult it is down here, its only temporary. If i get down i pray for him to give me strengh and power. Jesus said be of good cheer. Dont look so much at what we can see but at the heavenly things. We need to want heavenly things more then earthly things. The bible keeps telling us to not fear. Jesus said i am always with you in all things. When we feel lonely he is there and knows our feelings. Keep looking to God in all things. He will show you his love. He said so. He said he will make his home with us. Hope you feel better. 24. The inherent, stupendous complexity of the genetic information system is a powerful evidence for the design of life. The term "evolution" is so imprecise, that it lends itself to equivocation. Concepts often called "evolution", such as Natural Selection, adaptation, speciation, mutations etc., are perfectly consistent with Biblical creationism. However Common Ancestry (along with it's required time frames), also referred to as "evolution", is contrary to Biblical creationism. So, for example, actual 'evidence of Natural Selection' can be falsely used to imply 'evidence of Common Ancestry' by using the ambiguous phrase 'evidence of evolution'. I would therefore encourage the use of more precise language.

  25. I don't believe anything evolved by accident. You asked the question, which book? The Bible has the answered. Gen. 1:1, In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Gen 1:21, And God created great whales, and every living creature that moveth, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Then he created man, Man did not evolve from apes. If apes had to evolve into something better to survive, (survival of the fittest) then why do they still exist? Gen. 1:27, So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Gen. 9:3, Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. There are millions of apes and monkeys alive and here today, as there are hundreds of millions of humans alive here today. So where are the millions of between species?

  28. For the best understanding of the prophetic Scriptures, it is best to do so literally. Not by attempting to do so by allegorical or spiritualization of it. You have listed three groups in your above post. I can only provide you answers for the 24 Elders and the 4 beasts, because you have not sufficiently identified who you are referring to by "living ones." Provide the Scriptures from where you are drawing it from and I'll do my best to answer it for you; Who are the twenty four Elders around the throne of God in Rev.4:4 ? The twenty four Elders around the throne of God, represent the twenty four courses of the Levitical priesthood, with one priest for each course seated on each of the twenty four thrones. As recorded in 1 Chr.24:7-18. In Jer.33:17-18: "For this is what the Lord says: 'David will never fail to have a man to sit on the throne of Israel, NOR WILL THE PRIESTS, who are Levites ever fail to have before me continually to offer burnt offerings, to burn grain offerings and to present sacrifices.'" See also 2 Sam.7 for God's promise to David. There are many who attempt to identify them as the twelve apostles and twelve of the old testament saints, but there is nothing in the Bible to support this theory or any of the others, except the one above. The four great beasts of Daniel 7 - In Daniel's chapter 7 dream we find: Daniel 7:3 And four great beasts came up from the sea, diverse one from another. Daniel 7:4 The first [was] like a lion, and had eagle's wings...Babylon Daniel 7:5 And behold another beast, a second, like to a bear...Medo Persia Daniel 7:6 After this I beheld, and lo another, like a leopard...Greece Daniel 7:7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly...Rome In the verse below we learn that in the figurative language of a vision or dream in prophecy, a "beast" is a kingdom or empire. With the exception of the beast out of the sea and the beast put of the earth in Rev.13, who are the Antichrist and the False Prophet. Daniel 7:23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. BEAST = KINGDOM There is a broad agreement among Jewish and Christian scholars that the kingdoms represented by Daniel's lion, bear and leopard, are the successive ancient kingdoms of Babylon, Medo-Persia and Greece, followed by the fourth "terrible" beast, that is understood to be the Roman Empire. This conclusion is reached within the traditional continuous-historic context of prophecy. This is simply the view that bible prophecy is fulfilled steadily, as the era about which it is written gradually unfolds. This is the context in which virtually all Christians and Jews understand Old Testament prophecy. Quasar93

  29. In the wilderness, there was a cross with a snake on it erected by Moses at Gods command. All that looked on it did so with the belief they would live and not die. This is what they did and they were spared. Yeshua said that, 'when I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me'. So like the pole in the desert, we have to do the same because Yeshua said that, 'all that look on Me and Believe shall be saved'. It is that simple and that profound...

  30. Hello bamboshief Do you have a Bible with you? Have you tried to talk to the Lord? Yes, God is our all sufficiency. Ask Him to set you free from your anxiety and depression. When Jesus died on the cross, He took all your sin. Ask His forgiveness for your unbelief. We all must come to a place where we believe the Lord and all that He has done for us. It's not about what we do; it's about what He has done! Thank Him, bamboshief, for His victory on the cross that won the victory for you. Understand there is nothing you can do - accept that He has done it all for you! He has paid the price of redemption for you. Claim that victory, dear one. Tell God you want to hear from Him; read His Word, believe what it says. I will be praying for you too. If you are online, you may be able to find a church in your area with people who are willing to come and help you. Ask them for help. True Christians are willing to help you. God bless you and keep you. And, by the way, when you accept God's ways, you will come into the most wonderful life with a Father Who created and loves you, a Saviour Who went to the cross to reconcile you to His Father, and a Holy Spirit Who will comfort you and lead you into truth - if you seek Him with all your heart and follow Him completely.

  31. Sounds like a handful of issues being mixed together here. Temporary help to an adult child in need for unexpected situations is one thing; an on going subsidy of a negative cashflow lifestyle is another. One spouse making a monetary decision without consulting the other when it has effects on lifestyle is a problem. Being ground down from over-ministering to others can be a problem; we have our limits. Once we go beyond "my yoke is light and burden is easy", perhaps we are taking on too much. I'm not sure this will help or not, but I ran across an interesting sermon this week about having our internal life in order. He gave the example of when someone asks you to do something you really don't want to do. How often do we feel like our options are to "say yes and be mad" or "say no and feel bad"? He pointed out that often our negative feelings are often due to taking on burdens we are not meant to carry and some degree of self-deception. "If I don't do it, no one else will." "I'm a bad Christian if I do not." "It will mess up some relationships if I don't" He made the great observation that we need to have a strong sense of "This is an opportunity from God to minister" or "This is a distraction that will divert time and resources away from where God really wants me to minister." When we operate from this level, we are in a better to position to say yes or no without the attached negative feelings of guilt or frustration. We are also in a position where our ministering to people will be much more effective. So, I would not say you are being unChristlike so much as this maybe being symptomatic that God might want to do some changes inside you or have clearer priorities for ministry.

  32. “Repent and Do Works” By Justin Johnson “But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” –Acts 26:20 Acts 26 is an unnecessary source of confusion for students of Pauline truth. For example, in Acts 26:20 Paul says that he taught Jews and Gentiles to repent and turn to God and do works. Yet, we know that Paul taught the gospel of Christ’s free righteousness imputed unto us without our works. “But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.” – Romans 4:5 Is Paul teaching a works based message? Is this evidence that Paul taught the same as the works of Jesus and Peter in Matthew through Acts? Of course not. Repent and Turn to God The confusion begins with a wrong definition of the word “repent”, which does not mean to “turn from your sins”, or to “stop sinning”, or “promise to live a better life”. Repent simply means a change of mind. This is what it meant when the prophets told Israel to change their mind and hearts about disobeying the law, else God’s wrath would be invoked. This is what it meant when John, Jesus, and Peter charged Israel to change their mind about the coming of the Lord. While they were living in sin thinking the end would not come, they were told of the “last days” and the coming of the Lord to set up his kingdom. This is what it meant when Paul exhorted his brethren to change their mind about Jesus, and to the Gentiles to change their mind about sin and “dumb idols”. The admonition to “repent and turn to God” is an appropriate message since the beginning of the world. All men are called to change their mind about their own sin and turn their mind and hearts to God. Every gospel message includes this generic teaching. However, what is conspicuous by its absence is the will of God in the present dispensation. That is, the preaching of the cross for salvation is missing from this verse. Paul leaves it out in his apt defense unto a Hebrew-friendly king and Jewish prosecutors. Works Meet for Repentance While some would make a big ado about the works meet for repentance that Paul mentions, this is no more than the good works that God has always called his people to do. Before the flood, Noah preached righteous living. Moses taught good works under the law. Jesus and the Twelve taught good works in their ministry to Israel. Paul also encourages us unto good works in the dispensation that does not require works for salvation. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” – Ephesians 2:10 “Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” – Titus 2:14 Just as God’s message to mankind has always included a change of mind about sin and towards the will of God, what follows is the exhortation to do good works. At no time, including this dispensation of grace, does God fail to encourage good works. Although, in this dispensation alone works are excluded as part of the faith unto salvation. So then, to the law abiding prosecution, and the king familiar with the righteous teachings of the law of the Jews, Paul explains that he was not teaching lawlessness or disobedience to God. This in no way contradicts Paul’s message in his epistles, nor does it conflate the mystery of Christ with the prophetic message to Israel. 33. I just want to echo something JTC said above. The Lord loves each and everyone of us more than we can comprehend. He calls us to Him by faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and what He did for each and everyone of us on the cross who will just believe and confess Him. I don't know many of the answers of why this and that, only that it's His will and He has a reason and purpose for it; and all things work out for good for those who love and trust the Lord. I too and we all have struggled with difficulties in this world, some much more than others. Some of us were born or developed illnesses and diseases, but the Lord doesn't make any mistakes, ever! We Christian's going through life get testings and trials to build character, patience and faith. We know the 'god of the dead' can and does inflict pain, disease and affliction to all he is allowed to do but is restricted to the will of our Lord. I've also struggled with many things in my life and was a 'backslider'. I still struggle today and can do nothing on my own will. I constantly remind myself in those times when I'm attacked, have doubts, the flesh wants its way; that I need to pray and ask the Lord for help, and keep my mind under control and focus on our Lord and Savior. No matter our circumstances, they are just that, "circumstances" and the Lord can and will deal with them if a person will let Him. We are soldiers of Christ and we battle everyday of our lives against our flesh, and the principalities and powers of this world in dark places. No matter our lot in life, we look forward to our reward in heaven trying to faithfully serve our Lord to the best of our abilities. I look at the Apostles, the tens of millions of Christians who have been and are currently martyred for their faith in Jesus, and all the suffering, pain and persecution Christians have and are enduring. Then I look at myself and consider just how blessed and fortunate I am, and wonder if I could be so faithful if I were put to such a test of faith. As I often remind myself, I need to keep my faith and trust to the One whom controls everything and has infinite wisdom and infinite love. God Bless You.

  34. I'm not sure what you mean by you left Christianity behind. If you mean belonging to a church many of us don't belong to a church. If you mean you quit believing in God because of the reasons stated then let me ask you this, are you happier now? If you are then why make this post, you probably aren't. You probably feel worse than before. I kinda did what you say once and I felt more scared, miserable and alone than ever. After a few months I confessed making a big mistake to God and came running back. Never will I do that again. You want to know why you should believe again, is that correct? I offer you this, because our reward for trusting in God is not meant to be in this life it's coming in the next life. Yes, I know many Christians seem to have it in this life too. But for reasons only God knows a good life on earth is not meant for all of us. I wish I knew why, believe me. Jesus said no one comes to Him unless the Father calls them. I think that's true because there are millions of people with no interest in God at all. That's not you. You became discouraged due to a misunderstanding and maybe false teachings as well. For over 20 yrs well meaning Christians told me that someday God will give me all the things I lacked. I'm now 65 and I doubt it although nothing is too hard for God. I still pray for healing and what I lack but those things are not what keeps me with God. I stay because there is nothing without Him not even the hope for an eternity in paradise. I urge you to come back to God and wait for your eternal reward. The things of earth will mean nothing once we leave here. Come back Shapes.

  35. have a relative who embodies this. notbthe cigarette smoking but the ultra critical while doing exactly what they criticise or worse. speaking or complaining to them is like talking to a brick wall as they'd rather leave the house and stanf outside with their arms folded , switch subjects to something unrelated that the complainer didand start arguing about that, or claim every ones against them but God (seriously ). Even tho they are a (backslidden)Christian, using bible verses will have no effect either. They are the definition of set in their ways. Never apologise, never recant but blast others harshly
