  1. So that's what you got out of this? You present no evidence to support your 'theory". Smoke and mirrors! Math 24:16, and 20 are the ONLY verses which could be meant for Israel/Jews. "Why not talk about something else"................. why? Because You give the same old answers every time......"read your bible" Well, I do. And it's in reading my bible that I find answers. You may well be a brother in the Lord, and one day we shall probably meet, but this nonsense about Math 24 being for Israel/Jews only is just that. Nonsense. It's a false teaching that is refuted by scripture. Read YOUR bible.

  2. Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, The teaching that says this chapter is just for the Jews is not from God. Jesus gave the Olivet Discourse to His disciples whom He had been preparing to be part of the foundation of the Church. The teaching that this is for the Jews prevents many from benefiting from the warnings and instruction that Christ gave concerning His parousia and the events which precede it. There is so much that can be learned from what Christ said to the four on the Mount of Olives. Here is another observation from the Olivet Discourse. If any desire to have a firm footing for their eschatological understanding they must from the text of Matt 24 derive what great tribulation is. From that text or any other, it cannot be shown to be the wrath of God. Jesus makes it rather clear what "great tribulation" is in Matt 24, if one will simply observe the time-related words and the connecting adverbs, like "therefore". Mat 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? (Note that the context of Christ's answer is the end of the age, the time period of His parousia) Mat 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. Mat 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. Mat 24:6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. Mat 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. Mat 24:8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. Mat 24:9 Then (following the beginning of sorrows) shall they deliver you up to be afflicted (thlipsis), and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. Mat 24:10 And then (during this persecution) shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. Mat 24:11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. Mat 24:12 And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. Mat 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then (when the gospel has been preached in all the world) shall the end come. Mat 24:15 When (the timing of the defiling of the temple spoken of by Daniel) ye therefore (refers back to the persecution that follows the beginning of sorrows) shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mat 24:16 Then (at the defiling of the temple, the abomination of desolation, which begins unprecedented persecution) let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: Mat 24:21 For then (at the defiling of the temple) shall be great tribulation (thlipsis), such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Mat 24:23 Then (during this unprecedented persecution) if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mat 24:25 Behold, I have told you before. Mat 24:26 Wherefore (because of false Christs) if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. Mat 24:27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Mat 24:28 For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Mat 24:29 Immediately after (at once, following the unprecedented persecution) the tribulation (thlipsis) of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat 24:30 And then (subsequent to the cosmic sign) shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then (at the appearing of Christ) shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. Mat 24:31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. I hope this helps all to see that great tribulation is the unprecedented persecution of the elect and Israel and not the wrath of God poured out upon the day of the Lord. Hallelujah

  4. We are on the eve of 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther is credited for starting this "inferno" that got Solae Scriptura (Scripture alone) and Ad Fontes (Back to sources, the Scriptures) a major tenant of most Reformed Churches (From Lutheran to Charismatic). Here we will discuss the Reformation in Germany (Martin Luther and Malchathon), Geneva (John Calvin), Scotland (John Knox), Switzerland (Zwingli), England (Henry VIII, Tyndale), and the forerunners of John Hus (Hussites), Peter Waldo, John Wycliffe, Jerome of Prague, and beyond. Welcome to Reformation!

Rev 8:1 When the Lamb opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. ... it's the time all the prophecy teachers need to reorganize their prophecy charts! Have a great day! Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George

He's just come from the New Jerusalem who-knows-how-many miles away! Why would He make the trip back just to repeat the trip one more time after seven years, just to help us escape the "tribulation?!" No, it makes NO sense, especially when He is QUITE CAPABLE of protecting us THROUGH the disasters coming, and has DEMONSTRATED that ability in many examples, like Shadrach, Meshech, and Abed-nego!) The word "harpageesometha," stemming from "harpazoo," means "shall be snatched away" and has NO implication of an "upward" direction! The references to "the clouds" and "the air" merely refer to this earth's atmosphere and NO HIGHER!

  13. This is an excellent question. Let me see if I can give a satisfactory reply. First off, I have seen here several times good and godly men accused or at the minimum inferred to be “Christian mystics”, so before we go any further, let’s dispel that notion altogether. The word “mystery” is found 27 times in the New Testament, and the verse referring to “the mystery of godliness”is found in 1Timothy 3:16. Here it is: ”And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16 The word according to Strong’s Concordance simply means “a hidden or secret thing, not obvious to the understanding,” Interestly, that word is not found once in the Old Testament, for most of the mysteries spoken of were hidden to those who were under the old covenant, waiting to be revealed with the death and resurrection of Christ. Let me make sure you understand, in my posts, I was sharing a quote by Major Ian Thomas who made the reference. So what was he referring to? As I have the benefit of having now read a good portion of his book, it is not a mystery what he was referring to. And that is found in this verse: ”To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27 So is this a mystery to us? Ir certainly shouldn’t be, but the church by and large is not walking in Revelation knowledge... yet. It is this coming to an understanding that I refer to as our “awakening” and it is going on right now, slowly at first, but with ever increasing power and joy. What is being referred to here is a truth we possess but as of yet, it does not possess us. When we are told that we ar dead and our life is hid with Christ in God, our minds memorize that as an important “truth” but we do not yet know it as “our truth”. When Paul said that he was crucified with Christ, yet he lived, yet not him, but Christ now lived inside him, we have an understanding that this again is an important truth so we memorize the verse. But to have that mystery in its fullness opened to us, we must finally get to the point we see our “self”, our old nature as worthy only of death. It is only then that we are finally ready to have our eyes and hearts opened to the mystery... Christ in us. Not with us.... but IN US! That is how we walk in victory! We struggle with the promise that God tells us that He will actually “cause us” to walk as obedient children. We do not see how that is possible. We are humans, living here in an evil world. And He is in Heaven, sitting at the right hand of the Father. But when we finally understand that the old us really did die, we finally see how far we have not ever understood the mystery. We have spent years... for me decades.... trying to kill something that is already dead! We do not need harder effort. We need greater faith! And when we finally acknowledge this mystery, that we really are new creatures, which is Christ united with us in our bodies, we discover all those amazing promises that are meant for us to walk victoriously in this life. ... are ours! With willful sins finally done away, with the rebel inside us finally slain, with our ‘self’ that refused to bow the knee to God in all things finally removed from the equation, we discover that overcoming and walking in victory over the world, the flesh and the devil is our birthright, no matter how wicked our flesh has been, no matter how weak our faith may be. We are told that in the last days, His people will walk as overcomers when they finally combine the blood of the lamb with......what? ....the words of their testimony! It is this mystery that we are having our eyes opened to in thses last days. The mystery of Godliness! I pray this helps. Blessings to you, Naomi Gideon

  14. If trying to deal with depression from the physiological standpoint... ....... Sometimes, our bodies are the issue and its not our spirit or mind, at all. It is a common knowledge in the world of health care, that many people who suffer from chronic depression, have a Vit-B deficiency. If this is the case, the way to find out, is get the person a really good multi-vitaman and add a B-Complex with it. (Extra B's.) IF they are already taking a multi, then change it to one of the Gummies that is created from fruit, and also add the B-Complex with it. The main thing is to get them on a Multi, and add the B's as this is often what is lacking and is causing the dark feelings. If they want to continue their same Multi, then get them the B-Complex and have them take it with their Multi. Health is chemistry......Our bodies are chemicals.....Our Brain is chemistry and chemicals, and if our Brain is not getting the right fuel, this usually plays out as anxious moods and dark feelings. The brain itself does not feel pain, so, when it is nutritionally suffering, it causes your feelings to be unhappy.........And this is nearly always related to what is missing from your diet that it needs to work its best. So, if after they get the B's they "come out" of their dark feelings, then the issue is diet related and supplement solvable. <B><

  15. Gratitude and thankfulness towards God each morning does wonders for depression. The bible often states that "The most shall become the least; the least shall become the most". People who eat for themselves lose their reason for eating, meaning that depressed people should do what they can to serve others instead of hoping to be served, then combining this with a sense of gratitude for the opportunity of serving others. Everyone needs to serve others in being in the body of God, anything less is rebellion and ultimately self-serving. Thus people lose their ability to take pleasure in the joys which were ALWAYS meant to be shared, and when the joys are stripped it further compounds the problem as it becomes nigh impossible to have a sense of thankfulness. Thus the complaint in my signature. Therefor, when you serve God you will serve others, and he will restore your desire in things. Food tastes good once again, and you realize, well... Food never really tasted good by itself, but when combined with Godly indignation, then it tastes wonderful, it preserves its flavor, but is it really the food that you're tasting then? You can apply this with pretty much all other joys, we don't live for the joy itself -- the most shall become the least -- but to share and spread the joy -- the least shall become the most, as stewards to that joy, which is the truth, which is Christ. A dispute also arose among the disciples as to which of them would be considered the greatest. So Jesus declared, “The kings of the Gentiles lord it over them, and those in authority over them call themselves benefactors. But you shall not be like them. Instead, the greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who leads like the one who serves. For who is greater, the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is not the one who reclines? But I am among you as the One who serves." Luke 22:24-27

KJV I know this and if depression come I will still know this... It is nigh on impossible to be depressed when truth being more precious than our feelings ...

  17. “Why are Christians so mean to each other?” If I may be so bold as to propose a answer to this question. Seeing how as Christians the source of our behavior is either acting out from Christ or acting out from self. If a believer is acting out from Christ, he will manifest love, righteousness and being a peace maker. If a believer is acting out of self he will not manifest love, righteousness or being a peace maker. But will manifest, pride, division, self righteousness and opinion. For in Christ all opinion(s) cease. (my thoughts) much love in Christ, Not me

  18. Sometimes even if depression is spiritual, (which I believe is the case most of the time) it takes on a physical aspect. Just like if one remains angry all the time or filled with resentments, it will have physical effects on the body. Bitter waters erode until we seek to replace them with fresh sweet waters from the Lord. Healing begins by looking towards God for a different Holier perspective over any troubling situation that may befall us. For sure praying to God about our concerns is vital as well as rebuking the depression away and trusting God and His word to carry us through and past these times. Also finding Gratitude in what is around you helps to bring back a certain perspective concerning our thoughts and feelings. In God we always can find HOPE When we have hope and place our full trust in Him and His WORD we receive the tools to overcome. Remember the devil only comes to steal, kill and destroy. John 10:10-29 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. 11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. 12 But a [a]hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. 13 The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep. 14 I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own. Christ Jesus came so we may have life and life abundant in Him, Praise God!

  22. Christ's dying on the cross for my sins means everything to me. It represents His love for me, in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. It represents G0d's grace in granting me His righteousness that I may come boldly to the throne of grace. I will be admitted into His presence. He has adopted me as His own and given me His Spirit as the down payment on my inheritance. He has given me love, joy and peace in this life that were make possible by His death and resurrection. 23. In 22 Days the 500th Anniversary of Protestant Reformation will happen! Here is some information on Luther and His beliefs: "Luther was not a systematic theologian, trading in logical definitions or philosophical consistency. The systematizers who followed his wake picked out two key principles in his thought, Sole Fide and Sola Scripture: "Faith alone" and "Scripture alone." But this risks missing the point. Luther's theology was not a doctrine; it was a love affair. Consuming love for God has been part of Christian experience since the beginning, put Luther's passion had a reckless extravagance that set it apart, and which down Protestantism History. He pursued His love for God with blithe disregard for the bounds set by church and tradition. It was intense, desolating, intoxicating passion, sparked by his life-upending glimpse of God's incomprehensible , terrible, beautiful, and beautiful love for him. Like any lover, he found it incredible that his beloved should love him, unworthy as he was. And yet he discovered over the long years of prayer and study, that God loved him wildly, irresponsibly, and beyond all reason. God, in Christ, had laid down his life for him. This was not as the medieval's subtle theology had taught, a transaction, or a process by which believers to do whatever was in their power to pursue holiness. It was a sheer gift, all that mattered was accepting it. This talk of grace and free forgiveness was dangerous. If grace is free, and all we need do is believe, surely that would lead to moral anarchy? The fact that free forgiveness can look like a license to sin has plagued Protestantism for centuries. But for Luther, to even ask this question was blockheaded. What kind of lover needs rules about how to love? What kind of lover has to be bribed or threatened into loving? God loves us unreservedly. If we recognize that love, we love him unreservedly in return. Luther's breakthrough a dazzling, corrosive, simplicity to it. The power of those two principles, "faith alone," and "Scripture alone," lay in the word "alone." There is nothing and no one else other than God incarnate in Jesus Christ worth attending to. Being a Christian means throwing yourself abjectly, unreservedly, on Christ's mercy. Living the Christian life is to live Christ's Life-that is, abandoning all security and worldly ambitions to follow Him "through penalties, deaths, and hell." It is only then that we may find peace. That ravishing paradox is at heart of Protestantism." (The Protestants, Alec Ryrie, pages 20-21).
