  1. We express thanks to God for his goodness and mercy to us. Giving thanks is an expression of our gratitude by verbal expression or in prayer. Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Ephesians 5:20 Another way to offer thanks is to glorify God by our actions and behaviour; by knowing and doing his will. And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. Colossians 3:17

  3. Exactly. And if the change at the gathering takes place in the blink of and eye, it can and will happen in a moment, to millions at the same moment, and so can and will occur on the same day wrath falls. Just like Noah; Noah entered into the ark on the same day the wrath of the flood began and God shut the door to to the ark. That's how it will occur when Jesus comes. We will enter into the ark of His care and He will lock us in safety, and then wrath, on the same day.

  5. Indeed, when I attended seminary I had to confront all kinds of non-Scriptural teaching and by the end of it I was thinking “does the Bible in this Bible college mean anything to these people?” I left seminary convicted of the corruptions and not wanting to be associated with their erroneous teachings. Much like Jesus our Lord, I have had to go outside the seminary and Rabbinical school to preach and teach the Kingdom, the Gospel, and simple and pure devotion to Christ (2 Corinthians 11:2).

  6. Interesting parallel you have raised. Did Jesus discourage his disicples from being rabbis (Matthew 23:7-11) because we should never have those titles or positions? Or was it as you have said the rabbis had become corrupt by greed (many of Pharisees and Sadduccess had bought their positions from Rome) and they were teaching laws contrary to God’s law and teaching and so Jesus wanted to keep His disciples from corruption? And are we seeing something similar in today’s seminaries and with pastors (not all but many)? Great food for though Frienduff.

  7. Well, getting back to the topic...Muslims Turning to Christ. Thousands of Muslim children and their relatives in Syria have come to Christ through a kid's ministry that uses CDs to share God's love. These war traumatized people find a Biblical foundation in Christ...which they are now sharing with others. In Pakistan a native ministry plans to train 500 new Christians in evangelism, church planting and pastoral work. In 99% Muslim Turkey, Muslims are coming to Christ after hearing the Gospel on the internet and radio. In Iraq many Muslims are still displaced due to the terrorism in their towns and cities by Isis. A ministry is providing medical care, along with counseling, Bibles and the message of salvation through Jesus. The above are just a few of the wonderful things happening in the Middle East and other Muslim countries. Prayer reports are from a Christian mission operating worldwide.

  11. I'll start by saying a person's own sin is what condemns them to hell, not anything to do with anyone else. If they have accepted Jesus as their savor and decide to follow God, they will go to heaven; if not, they will go to hell. Period, end of story. Something you did or said will never have any bearing on that. At all. As for you, you have sinned, clearly. That puts you in the same boat as every other person who has ever lived. Repent of that sin, ask God to forgive you, ask Him to help you to not sin that way again, and ask Him to give you peace of mind and spirit with this HIV fear. Most of all, though, are you saved? Have you accepted Jesus as your savor and committed your heart and mind to Him?

  12. Yes, I saw that last time I was in Germany also. I finally had the chance to visit some friends that have lived there for years, and they showed me some of what's going on in several nearby areas. Totally different areas from what they used to be last time I was there around 15 years ago. Europe will loose its culture if they are not careful.

Then the no-go zones start for the Police, just like in Europe. I have friends in the Dearborn area so don't you dare say they don't know what they're living every day.

  15. Without Israel, Without Covenants, Without the Law http://graceambassadors.com/mystery/without-israel-without-covenants-without-the-law By Justin Johnson Most of the Bible talks about salvation. Most of the Bible talks about salvation coming through Israel, promised in covenants, with required works of the law. Christ sent Paul to offer salvation according to the mystery without Israel, without covenants, and without the law. As a result salvation is all of Christ. Without Israel When God was operating in the world through his chosen people salvation was said to be “of the Jews” (John 4:22). Salvation to the world would come through Israel’s rise to glory, and then the nations of the world would be blessed. Being a Jew meant being the first to receive God’s blessing, and being the channel of blessing and salvation to Gentiles. When Christ sent Paul to Gentiles it was because Israel had rejected Christ and salvation (Rom 11:25). Yes, Paul went to Jew first, but they did not receive it. Gentiles were receiving salvation without Israel through the preaching of Christ’s death and resurrection. Paul proves that both Jew and Gentile are under sin, and so being an Israelite has no advantage today toward salvation by grace through faith. Two thousand years later, it remains the same that Gentiles continue being saved while the nation of Israel as a whole has rejected it. Salvation according to the mystery is without Israel. “What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin” – Romans 3:9 “For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.” – Romans 11:32 Without Covenants What made Israel God’s chosen people were the covenants given exclusively to them. Gentiles had no privilege or advantage with any covenants with God. Even when Israel failed, they could lay claim to the covenants of promises God had made with their fathers, David, and the prophets. God had promised them salvation. Confidence in salvation was found in the covenants God had made. In contrast, Paul preaches complete confidence of salvation to people who never had any covenants. On what basis could they be so sure? Paul explains that the work for salvation was already finished, and was being offered to them freely. While prophecy promised a future hope of salvation, it was a promise yet to be fulfilled. Paul preached a present possession of salvation according to the mystery. God is under no obligation toward the church the body of Christ having made no covenants with the Body. Salvation is offered all of grace without obligation or requirement. God and Israel still have obligations under the covenants to fulfill before salvation comes to them. “For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.” – Romans 11:27 Only according to the mystery of Christ does salvation come without a covenant of promise, but directly through the promise in Christ by the gospel (Eph 3:6). “How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery… That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel” – Eph 3:3-6″ Without the Law How could man be righteous without obedience to the law or the commandments of God? This is explained clearly in Paul’s epistle to the Romans 3-5. “But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets” – Romans 3:21 The law was the subject of Israel’s old covenant, and the law was revised in Israel’s new covenant, but in both cases God’s law was what would prove their righteous faith. According to the mystery Paul speaks of salvation without the law being offered freely to all men. Conclusion Israel will be restored. The covenants of God will be fulfilled. The law is holy, just, and good, and will one day be preached to all nations. The mystery of Christ affects how salvation is preached. Salvation according to prophecy was through Israel, under the covenants, and accompanied by the law. The mystery of Christ is how salvation comes to all without Israel, without covenants, and without the law. This hidden wisdom of God in Christ Jesus was kept secret since the world began, but is now made known to all nations . -Are We Under Any Covenants? -Israel’s Future Salvation -A Look at History With and Without Israel -Peter Taught Gentiles. 20. There's a time to dot the theological i's and cross the theological t's; but there is also a time to discuss and deal with the very real and deep pain and suffering and burdens and bondages of people that requires God's healing and deliverance. I'm guessing that @Ed J intended the latter in the OP. Taking innocents as meaning infants, children, and those under an age of accountability who do not have direct experience or knowledge or bondage to particular sins, (or indeed possibly taking it to mean someone who is innocent about a particular sin) ... The most egregious examples I can think of are 1. when those innocents without the power to protect themselves are overwhelmed by physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual abuse of various types 2. when innocents are exposed to addicting substances and behaviors that they would otherwise not have fallen into How many besetting sins and addictions that Christians struggle with as adults were embedded into them at a young age? How many lies were embedded deep into us when we were young and vulnerable and impressionable? I'm guessing quite a few. Victims of sexual abuse often have deep emotional and spiritual wounds that create compulsive behaviors and feelings that are beyond their capability to fully control. How many addictions began due to exposure to it from some other addict. How many porn addictions started when some kid found their father or grandfather's stash of it? How many substance addictions started with a kid sneaking a parent's or relative's booze or whatever or being offered something from a more powerful person? How many adults carry deep feelings of ugliness, stupidity, uselessness, or whatever believing that lie about themselves because an angry adult, parent, teacher, whoever, verbally abused them? There are many physical, spiritual, mental, and emotional burdens and bondages that Christians (and non-Christians) carry around that were piled onto them at a stage in their life where they were innocent about certain things and knew nothing about them. One of the things I've been happy to see in the past few decades is that the church is no longer ostracizing people who've been abused (and carry around compulsive behaviors and addictions that have that abuse as a root) but starting to see them as requiring God's healing and deliverance to be freed from those bondages and burdens rather than piling a guilt trip on them that it is all their fault for not having enough repentance, willpower, discipline, or resolve to change themselves. From what I've heard and read from Christian women who were chronically sexually abused as children, there is a deep rooted shame, pain, and fear that reaches out and affects many parts of their life including often how they view God as Father and men. It's not a matter of simply trying harder to stop any sinful behaviors or feelings that result from this, it is something buried terribly deep within that God needs to work to heal them of.

  21. Ok. So. My husband did something I thought he would never do. He admitted to everyone in our home group/cell group what has been going on between us. The whole group prayed for us. He also has agreed to go for counselling, both marital and personal. I am sure this is God. In the back of my mind I can't help but wonder if this is somehow part of his act, but it's so out of character for him. I know that God is fighting for me and my kids. I was so ready to leave but now I feel that something genuine is happening with him. Thank you guys for supporting my family in prayer. This has been so big. God is moving, and doing. God bless you all.

  29. Yes, you are missing something here: the context, the audience, and the intent of the message. The audience: The disciples and the multitudes. The message: The woeful behavior of scribes [lawyers] and Pharisees [a highly influential religious/political group in the Sanhedrin] Here's the context. Please read the whole thing. Matthew 23:1-12 "Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples, 'The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses' seat, so do and observe whatever they tell you, but not the works they do. For they preach, but do not practice. They tie up heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on people's shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to move them with their finger. They do all their deeds to be seen by others. For they make their phylacteries broad and their fringes long, and they love the place of honor at feasts and the best seats in the synagogues and greetings in the marketplaces and being called rabbi by others. But you are not to be called rabbi, for you have one teacher, and you are all brothers. And call no man your father on earth, for you have one Father, who is in heaven. 10 Neither be called instructors, for you have one instructor, the Christ. The greatest among you shall be your servant. Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.'" Here's what you have missed: Jesus TOLD the people that the scribes and Pharisees have the same authority Moses had in terms of the law and that they were to obey these men when they taught the law. But, Jesus told them to watch out for their "works" which were not good and not to copy their misbehavior. What were they doing wrong? Expecting others to obey the law when they did not always do so. Doing all their "works" to be seen by others. They take their clothes and make the "religiousness" of their Hebrew symbols they wore larger and larger. It seemed that these little boxes they wore and tassels on their clothes became the mark of their personal holiness which is ridiculous. So in their minds, the bigger the boxes which contained little scrolls, the more holy their were. Ridiculous. They made the ordained feasts that God commanded all about them and where they sat to be "seen". In the synagogues, where men congregated on the Sabbath to read and discuss the scriptures, they had to have the "good seats". Like the expensive seats or press box at a ball game. They enjoyed the "titles" like rabbi and teacher. Of COURSE they had rabbi's and teachers, but they enjoyed the title only and being called that in the streets even when they weren't doing any rabbi or teacher duties. Jesus finally teaches that these men are all about hypocrisy and vanity, but when they teach the law they are to be obeyed, but their selfish ways are to be abhorred. If this is to be applied to New Testament churches, it applies to all members: pastors and congregants alike can ALL get caught up in their duties and make themselves "special". So can house church members. So can "solo" Christians get absorbed in their specialness.

  33. Good point and the two I think are related. The conquering that is associated with the first seal is when truth is assaulted. This attack on truth has several fronts and is a long, protracted campaign. It's been going on for decades and has caused a gradual falling away from the truth. A falling away from the truth should not be confused with church attendance. People can worship God with their lips but yet their hearts can be far from Him.

  34. And for a while now I have been seeing a difference between the falling away and the time following the A of D. The time of GT beginning after the A of D is forced conversion, on pain of death. In contrast the apostasy of 2 Thess 2 is a rebellion. This was the point I was making in previous posts; that we will see a 'falling away' before the forced conversions. From what I read the beast will sit in the Temple at the midpoint. Well, simply enough if there is a midpoint there must be a before and an after or the midpoint is just a beginning or an end. Of course we would witness the 'before' as Jesus said, 'all these are the beginnings of sorrows' and, 'this generation will not pass till all is fulfilled'. So we will see many things before the A of D and I'm thinking the 'falling away' is one of them. Consider that the world worships the beast and the dragon based on the healing of the deadly head wound, from Rev 13. This is a willing act on the part of the world based on something the beast does, or has, or is; he's apparently immortal and he has power and authority. This is quite different from sitting in the Temple and declaring himself god, which happens at the midpoint. The words of Paul focus on the beast declaring himself god in the Temple. The deadly head wound comes before this and stuns the world. Which is when the falling away occurs as those of the world willingly follow the beast, compared to the GT where all who will not take the mark, worship the image or the beast, are killed. It seems then Paul is saying we will see a great exodus from the Way the Truth and the Life, toward the immediate condition of the existence of the beast and Satan's power. No doubt the mega churches and the wolves that lead them will be in the vanguard.

  35. written by Kevin Cornette (kevincornette@yahoo.com) Kevinator Cornbread Oct 9 2004, 03:08 AM Post #1 Group: Newbie Posts: 5 Joined: 11-April 04 From: Houston Texas Area Member No.: 3813 Okay. First a little history. This event takes place in John 8, the day after the events that took place in Chapter 7:37 through verse 53. Let's look there first: QUOTE In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. John 7:37-40 When Jesus stands and cries in the Temple is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful and meaningful events in the life of Messiah. In John 7:2, we read that this was during the Feast of Sukkot (Tabernacles), one of the three Feasts of Ascension (when all Jewish men from 12 years old and upward were required to be in Jerusalem). On the last day, the great day of the Feast, is Hosannah Rabbah, and a special ceremony took place as long as the Temple of God stood. The priest would be split into three divisions and perform certain functions. The first would stay in the Temple and prepare to shout the Hallel and glorify God (along with the Levitical Choir and musicians) when the other two groups got back from their assigned duties. The second division of priests would go out to the Kidron valley on the north of the Temple to cut down huge (25-30 foot long) willow branches. The willow branch is a symbol of the resurrection, for when these willow branches were put into the ground, they would take root and grow into trees. These priests would bring the branches into great stands to wave them over the Altar of sacrifice to make the sound of a mighty rushing wind to commemorate the day that God lit the fire of the Altar in Solomon's Temple (2 Chronicles 7:1-4). They would enter the Temple through the Eastern Gate (where the resurrected Jesus will enter at His return) and wait til the appropriate time. The last group accompanied the Kohen HaGaddol (High Priest) to the pool of Siloam, where he dipped a silver pitcher into the pool to draw out of the well "Living Waters". As he drew the water out, he would sing/chant chapter 12 of Isaiah: QUOTE And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me. Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation. Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. And in that day shall ye say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among the people, make mention that his name is exalted. Sing unto the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee. (can you see the Messianic prophecy here. The underlined part reads in Hebrew "Behold, God is Y'shua. I will put my confidence in and reverence him. YAH, YHVH is my strength, my rejoicing, and has become my Y'shua" -- Y'shua is Jesus name in Hebrew! ) After the water is drawn, the Kohen HaGaddol and his company would come up to the Temple through the Water Gate and wait outside the entrance. (as a quick aside, as soon as the companies of Kohen left, everyone would bow down and wait until the ceremony began) What these three companies were waiting for is the sound of the flute. The ceremony began with the sound of a flute playing from the pinnacle of the Temple of God. This flute was called "The Pierced One" and had five holes in it (remember Jesus had five wounds: 2 hands, 2 feet and his side!). As soon as the pierced one cried out, the ceremony began. However, in this year, while everyone is bowing and waiting for the Pierced One to cry out, Jesus STOOD and cried instead (for He truly is the Pierced One - Zechariah 12:10, Psalm 22:16, John 19:34-37 & Revelation 1:7!)! HalleluYAH! Jesus cries out and tells them "This ceremony we have celebrated together for 1500 years, it is pointing to this: I will cause the Ruach HaKodesh [Holy Spirit] to come and dwell in you, if you will put your confidence in me, just like the Scripture said that the Kohen HaGaddol just quoted!" Many believed on Him on this day. And Jesus spoke with such power and authority that the Levitical Officers (who operated as policemen in the Temple complex and were commissioned to arrest anyone who disturbed the ceremony) could not arrest Jesus but simply said "No man ever spoke like this Man!" (John 7:46). All of this takes place on the last day of Sukkot, the 21st day of Tishre. The following day is a minor Feast of the LORD called "Simchat Torah", or "Rejoicing with the Torah". It was supposed to be a great day of celebration and rejoicing before the LORD because God had given His people the Living Torah (who is, indeed, Jesus). Instead of rejoicing that Jesus had come bringing salvation, deliverence and the forgiveness of sin, the accusers came to bring accusation. On this day, Jesus was once again in the Temple teaching (John 8:2) -- the common Jews rejoicing with the Living Word, and the leaders bringing the accusation. (I am sorry that this is taking so long to set up, but this information is needed to rightly divide the Word here, and have understanding of what Jesus said and did). QUOTE And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst, they say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou? This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not. So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground. And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. Now just a little more history: Whenever someone was caught in adultery, both the man and the woman would be brought to the Nicanor gates and accused. If witnesses could be gathered to confirm that adultery had indeed been committed, then there was a certain ceremony that would be done in order to bring judgment. However, in this instance they only brought the woman. This was a violation of the Oral Law of God. Strike One. Secondly, the priest was required to then stoop down and write the law that had been broken (na'aph, or 'adultery' would be written in Hebrew), along with the name of the accused, in the dust of the floor of the Temple (which Jesus did) [actually, the priest could write the law and the names anywhere, as long as the marks were not permanent - and the dust of the floor of the Temple was the most common place]. By doing this, Jesus showed these accusers that THEY were not keeping the law, but He would anyway. Strike Two. So these men ignored the law, brought the woman only, and then continued with accusation. So Jesus stood up (after plainly demonstrating they were violating the law themselves) said "He who is without sin among you, lem him first cast a stone at her" John 8:7). THEY did not want to cast the stone, they wanted Jesus to condemn her, so they continued accusing. Now to get this last part, lemme throw in just a little more history. Every year on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement), the Kohen HaGaddol would immerse up to 11 times in a Mikveh (a baptismal tank) in order to be ceremonially cleansed between each separate portion of the day's sacrifices. At the end of Yom Kippur, there was a celebration at the home of the Kohen HaGaddol, and there would be great rejoicing that God had received the sacrifice, and everyone’s sins had been rolled fore ward another year (as they were waiting on Messiah). To end the day, and announce to everyone the party was over (and it was time to go home), the Kohen HaGaddol would come out and quote Jeremiah 17:13 "'Oh YHVH, the Mikveh of Israel...' just as the mikveh cleansed me on this day, may the Holy One (Messiah), blessed be his name, cleanse all Israel when He comes". (The KJV reads "Oh LORD the hope of Israel"... however, if you get your Strong's Concordance out, you can look up the word translated hope, and it is #4723 'mikveh' -- which is a baptismal tank). So any religious Jewish man had heard this verse quoted by the High Priest every year since he was 12 years old. At 50, he would have heard it 39 times! (although Yom Kippur was NOT a Feast of ascension, many would come up for YOMA anyway, because of it's close relationship in time to Sukkot, when they had to be there anyway). The entire verse is as follows: QUOTE O LORD, the hope of Israel, all that forsake thee shall be ashamed, and they that depart from me shall be written in the earth, because they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living waters. Jeremiah 17:13 The way it reads in Hebrew is: "Oh YHVH, the Immerser of Israel, all those who leave your way shall be put to shame (publicly embarassed), those who turn aside from my ways will have their names written in the dust and blotted out, for they have departed from YHVH, the fountain of Mayim Hayim (the waters of life).." So Jesus gave them a chance -- they could have been just embarassed and then repented before the LORD. but instead they rejected, and in turn had their names written in the dust. This passage in Jeremiah is a Messianic prophecy of what Messiah would do when He came - and in this passage in John, we see Jesus fulfill the prophecy. In my opinion, one og the most interesting parts is verse 9: QUOTE And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. They heard the voice of God in their conscience, the Spirit of God bringing to their remembrance all the times they heard the Kohen HaGaddol quote the verse -- but instead of receiving the conviction and repenting, they departed from Him (just as it was prophesied!). They left from the eldest to the youngest, the older having heard the verse quoted more often (imho). And Jesus did this on the day following His announcement that HE was the fountain of living waters (John 7:37-39). Strike Three and they were out! (as one more aside, then Jesus returns to his teaching of the multitude in the Temple, by saying "I am the light of the world"... this was the very morning that the four great lamps of the court in the Temple (which were called "The light of the world" were being extinguished after being kept lit for the entire celebration of Sukkot). That is my take on it, and I can't wait to see the video of it in heaven.

  38. Ha, Okay I'll share before someone asks what was the greatest thing I have seen or witnessed. Yes I remember the original Fenway Park, and it's great wooden bleacher fire, the rebuilding, then the great molasses flood of Boston a terrible sticky and also fatal flood of molasses, rural electrification coming to New Hampshire, Boston Braves playing at BU's stadium a silly place to home field a major league baseball team. Now I settle for watching my want-a-be major league team the Rays play pachinko ball in the low roofed weird dome we call a stadium. Oh my. I remember when New Hampshire's slogan met something, and the State wasn't full of lefties out of Massachusetts fleeing their own high taxation but insisting on free benefits from New Hampshire. I remember clean water fresh pine forest air, as well as the welcoming aroma of a country home's winter fire place chimney. Best of material things though was the real flush toilet, the one with the true five gallon flush tank mounted high on the wall with a I mean business chain and pull handle. Wooosh! After that it has been all down hill,- but at a slower pace. The one terrific thing? God called me, actually dragged me, to my repentance and to knowledge of Jesus as Lord God and personal savior, an eternal gift and high privilege.

  40. Amen. May I add success in sharing is not for the saint to judge as it is not the saint that "converts" but instead it is the God the Holy Spirit. The saints are to go into all the world with the gospel of Jesus. All the world includes where we stand as well as next door and beyond. The whole of the world's population is in transition all are migrants of a sort, either moving to foreign lands, having foreign politics affect local politics, ghettos are moving about, work opportunity is changing ever more rapidly, housing, water availability, near everything one can think of is affecting the world's population causing massive migration and/or dramatic and serious volatility of it's population. I might stay put, but my neighborhood will not, so I am a migrant of sorts no matter where I might be. I am in this world, but not of it, my duty is to stand my post as a soldier of Christ Jesus, no matter the situation, and as such my duty is to do all things to the glory of God. i am to reach out to my family my friends my neighbors and to strangers in all that I do. I cannot select who I will share of my Lord with and who I will not. I can only be obedient or not be obedient to the cause that is my Lord's. It may be that i am led to go to a place and that place will have a predominance of a particular people, but the responsibility to my Lord is the same-share of the gospel of Jesus, share of the good news. Whenever I do that I will have to overcome my own prejudices, yes prejudices for I have to own up to them and overcome them, seeing that much like even the very apostles themselves were, I am terribly flawed and in need of the guidance of God the Holy Spirit if I am to be obedient to God's purpose in creating me personally. That obedience requires what I often am not up to without a deliberate Holy Spirit led determination to share beyond my personal comfort zone, the zone that shares mental space with my own prejudices, my own sin of fear of man, man's opinions and man's threats real or merely perceived. So encouragement in the form of a reminder is good for me, my spirit and soul. Thanks!

  41. Yeah I like cats! Personally I find the domestics much tastier and tenderer than the typical wild variety around here. Grilled, baked, barbecued, smoked or fried... Yep we likes us cats. ?

  42. I am a cat and dog person, with a slight preference towards cats. I like most animals actually. Cats and dogs can get on well together. My previous cat was very brave. He once took on a Bull Terrier (about twice as big as he was). He nearly died in the attempt. But somehow he pulled through and managed to return to normal.

  43. Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Isa 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. And Welcome to Worthy

  44. You have actually called a curse down upon yourself and your family. Galatians speaks about curses. Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us—for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree"— Gal 3:14 so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. All of are under the curse of being sinful and bound for hell. But when we ask Christ Jesus be our savior Redeemer, He saves us from the curse of the law which is death in hell. He gives us eternal life in Him. So all your family who receive Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives will also be redeemed from the curse, because Jesus died and took the punishment for our sin. From Got Questions.Org Question: "What does the Bible say about keeping your vows / oaths?" Answer: There are about 30 biblical references to vows, most of which are from the Old Testament. The books of Leviticus and Numbers have several references to vows in relation to offerings and sacrifices. There were dire consequences for the Israelites who made and broke vows, especially vows to God. The story of Jephthah illustrates the foolishness of making vows without understanding the consequences. Before leading the Israelites into battle against the Ammonites, Jephthah—described as a mighty man of valor—made a rash vow that he would give to the Lord whoever first came out of doors to meet him if he returned home as the victor. When the Lord granted him victory, the one who came out to meet him was his daughter. Jephthah remembered his vow and offered her to the Lord (Judges 11:29-40). Whether or not Jephthah should have kept this vow is dealt with in another article. What this account shows us is the foolishness of rash vows. Perhaps this is why Jesus gave a new commandment concerning vows. "Again, you have heard that it was said to the people long ago, 'Do not break your oath, but keep the oaths you have made to the Lord.' But I tell you, Do not swear at all: either by heaven, for it is God's throne; or by the earth, for it is his footstool; or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the Great King. And do not swear by your head, for you cannot make even one hair white or black. Simply let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No ,' 'No'; anything beyond this comes from the evil one" (Matthew 5:33-37).The principle here is clear for Christians: do not make vows, either to the Lord or to one another. First, we are unable to know for sure whether we will be able to keep vows. The fact that we are prone to the errors in judgment which are part of our fallen nature means that we may make vows foolishly or out of immaturity. Further, we don’t know what the future will bring—only God does. We don’t know what will happen tomorrow (James 4:14), so to make a vow that we will do or not do something is foolish. God is the one in control, not us, and He “works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). Knowing this, we can see that it is unnecessary to make vows and that it indicates a lack of trust in Him. Finally, Jesus commands that our word be sufficient without making vows. When we say “yes” or “no,” that’s exactly what we should mean. Adding vows or oaths to our words opens us up to the influence of Satan whose desire is to trap us and compromise our Christian testimony. If we have made a vow foolishly and realized we cannot or should not keep it, we should confess it to God, knowing that He is “faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). A broken vow, while serious, is not an unforgivable matter if taken to the Lord in true confession. God will not hold us to vows made imprudently, but He expects us to obey Jesus and refrain from making vows in the future.

  45. Our Father does not allow us to make covenants with Him. He makes them with us. If we were able to conceive these so called. . . . . perfect deals, then why would we need Him? We can't condemn others to hell no more than we can sponsor them into Heaven. So speaking of Testing . . . . . this was a good test for you to understand and gain the wisdom that we should not rest on our own capabilities, but rather trust in Him to give us strength to resist such temptations. I also wonder, how much do these tests cost anyway? How can you afford them? God Bless you.

  46. Welcome~! ~ “Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?g And why are you anxious about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin, yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is alive and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? Therefore do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them all. But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:25-34 (English Standard Version) ~ Praying~!
