  1. Just want to bring up the importance of kindness. We never know what a person has gone through or is currently going through....so it's important to always be kind to others.

  4. It proved that He has feelings and He showed His compassion. Yes, he knew Lazarus would die, and He didn't go to him until four days after his death, so much so that Mary and Martha were angry and upset, but He indirectly told His disciples that He would perform a miracle, which He did. But still, He was saddened by Lazarus' death and He grieved both for Lazarus and for the grieving sisters. This alone also proved that He knows and understands our feelings.

  6. Yeah, at one point in my life I was in to it big time http://www.geocities.ws/dennis12092000/ I was curious and interested about the linage of how I came about to be; and who were my ancestors, where did they come from, their history, what did they do, when they migrated how come and when, questions I have etc. I think that might be a fringe part of that spirit God placed in each human being; whom am I 'really', where did I come from, why am I here and where am I going. From personal experience, it seems to me later on in life after your grandparents and parents are deceased, is when all these questions pop up you wish you had asked them, but were not important at the time because of other distractions. I now have so many I wish I would have asked, one being; was there a particular reason you named me what you did, and dozens of others. It's very interesting tracing your heritage and trying to find some answers to questions BUT; I've found it raises many more questions you want to know than it answers. What I found tracing your ancestory is that if you can get out of the US into England / Europe, it gets a lot easier to trace. Here in the US the overwhelming majority of courthouses, libraries, churches, etc. burnt down or where destroyed that contained valuable records; due to oil lamp / candle lighting and fireplace heating etc. circa 13th - 17th centuries. At least in my case. CAUTION: Some of my family members have participated in the ancestry.com DNA testing thing and it seems to be extremely accurate. This is hearsay and I don't know this to be fact but, I'm hearing they are collecting this DNA and also using it for a DNA database possibly for government use / crime solving? I haven't read it but, in their disclaimer / fine print, their might be an illusion to it? What do you think about all this uncle Frank?

  7. INDULGENCES. Definition: A person after confessing his sins to a priest, in order to be free from the punishment still due for his sins, requires the church to pray for his rehabilitation. The person must do penance works such as fasting, making pilgrimages, giving money, making prayers or inflicting pain on oneself, as a penalty for sins committed. Historically, people found it easier to pay money to the Roman Catholic church than to pray for long hours. The Roman Catholic church preferred money because the Pope ran out of cash in building St Peter’s Basilica in Rome. So the Roman Catholic church issued the person with an official statement that he had received release from the penalties through the payment of money. This document was called an indulgence. They could be bought for friends and relatives who had died and passed into purgatory, thus shortening the time that they would have to spend there. Martin Luther objected to Tetzel, a Catholic indulgence seller, who publicly announced to people that if they put a coin in a box, a dead relative's soul would immediately pop out of purgatory. His advertising slogan was: "As the coin in you pop, a soul from purgatory doth hop." Answer: Obviously, this teaching cannot be found in the Bible. After Word War II, the Archbishop of Winnipeg asked mothers who had sons killed in the war, to pay $40 to have masses said on behalf of their sons to guarantee their salvation and entrance to heaven. This practice continues in many parts of the world, and accounts for the great wealth of the Catholic church as seen in the big cathedrals it builds. Which Bible verses forbid indulgence selling? 1. Jesus warns against this practice in Matthew 23:14, a verse that Catholics have cut out of modern Bible versions. "Woe unto you, Scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For ye devour widows houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation." The Pharisees of Jesus' day, as well as Catholic priests of today, tell widows that their dead husband has gone to purgatory. They ask her if she wants him to go to heaven. If yes, she will have to pay the priest to say a mass to pray for his soul to leave purgatory. Widows don't usually have much money, so he tells her to sell her house to pay for it. This is how widows houses are devoured by priests who for a pretense make long prayers. 2. The Israelites were forbidden to give money for the dead. "None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him." Psalms 49:7. No gift of money can save another person. Only the blood of Christ can. 3. Peter says: "Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold ... but with the precious blood of Christ." 1 Peter 1:18,19. Nobody is redeemed with indulgence money. 4. Simon the sorcerer offered the apostles money so that anyone that he laid hands on would receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Peter rebuked him strongly in Acts 8:20-23 saying: "Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the GIFT OF GOD may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness." Salvation is the gift of God that each of us must claim freely for ourselves when we call on Christ to be our Saviour. No baptism, eucharist, confessional to a priest, penance, extreme unction, or paying money can save us, only faith in Christ's precious saving blood to pay for our sins.

  8. If I had to pick one sign, and single it out as the most important aspect of Jesus' return, it would be this one: For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. Matthew 24:27 Behold, He is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the tribes of the earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be. Amen. Revelation 1:7 When Jesus returns, every eye will see Him. I see this as the most important aspect of His return because whenever the deceiver shows up and performs amazing signs and wonders and deceives the world, this will be the one truth that serves as an effective countermeasure to his lies and claim to deity. The one thing that everyone should remember, regardless of eschatological preference, is that if you personally didn't see Jesus return, it didn't happen.

  9. Look at how many centuries the Bible was suppressed by the RCC and only read to the mass in Latin. It was not until it was translated into English (and other languages) and the printing press was invented (14th century), and the Bible was the first book ever massed produced. Not a new concept at all, the Bible even teaches a pretrib Rapture. Just I Thessalonians chapters 4 and 5 clearly reveals it. The Apostle Paul even though it was imminent in his day by using the plural 'we' in 1 Thes 4: 17. Just my hermeneutical view of scripture.

  10. Surely you jest! -------- My cousins have become enamored of the idea they can track their own lineage to one of England King Henry's wives. One that was beheaded. I don't see the advantage in that, but hey whatever. The idea of tracking back to Noah and Adam, well okay but by way of Seth or Cain might prove to be of interest. Perhaps DNA will help in the title to lands as in "whose land is it anyway" pertaining to Israel and Jerusalem. Then again maybe not for a Jew is not of circumcision of the flesh, but instead of the heart. Near as I can tell this is all going to burn anyway,... and then there will be a new heaven and and a new earth.... -------- As for me I had hoped to learn whether there is good reason, a trait of my Genes that would tell me that yes I should go ahead with the colonoscopy and oh yes that awful prostate biopsy again. I had said never again to both. Ha, I have done one now and it turned out to be a good thing, the DNA traits does indicate it might be wise to go for the other once - ouch - again too. As I said, it is all going to burn. My flesh will fail me too, maybe even this day; but I would like to be as healthy as possible to that very day and not have the battle that I have tended as an advocate and caregiver so many times for others that I have loved. Hate to become a burden if I could have avoided being one.

  17. I love this topic, Debp. Thanks for posting it. Sadly, kindness is sometimes under discussed and under rated. Worst of all, is when it is under practiced. Yet it is such a significant trait of a Christian. I wanted to share some of my favorite verses on this topic: "Do not let kindness and truth leave you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart." Proverbs 3:3 "And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?" Micah 6:8 "So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience." Colossians 3:12

  20. Greetings to all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, Do you mean the hermeneutics that J. N. Darby invented? Do you mean the hermeneutics that causes you to believe and teach that God pours out His wrath upon His faithful GT servants who are martyred for Christ's name sake? Do you mean the hermeneutics that causes you, in desperation, to teach that the Greek word apostasia refers to the rapture? Do you mean the hermeneutics that causes you to teach that Matt 24 is not written to the church, even though it explicitly concerns the elect, a name by which the church is identified throughout the NT? Do you mean the hermeneutics that forces you to wrest countless Scriptures to maintain your fictitious eschatological system? Do you mean the hermeneutics that causes you to engage in eisegesis, reading your bankrupt system into the text? Do you mean the hermeneutics that allows you to claim that when John, in spirit, was shown the throne of God in heaven that was referring to the rapture? Do you mean the hermeneutics that deserves a gold medal for their gymnastic performance? Paul had something to say about the hermeneutics you use. 2Co 4:2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. A literal, historical, grammatical, and contextual hermeneutic will not yield a pretribulational model for the rapture. Only eisegesis and circular reasoning will lead you to believe that way. But you are not alone, most in the West have embraced escapist pretribulational teaching. Your views will change when you see the Temple rebuilt, or witness the Beast in the Temple shewing himself to be God. If you miss all that, you will most certainly know that you were wrong when unexpectedly you are faced with the decision of taking the mark to save your physical life or being beheaded for Christ's name sake. If you take the mark, know that you will be eternally damned. Be faithful unto death and Christ will give you a crown of life. Rev 12:11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Praise Jesus

  23. Greetings to all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, There are a few fundamental truths that the serious student of the Holy Scriptures must consider when adopting an eschatological model. Many of these are undeniable truths which come from very explicit statements made by Christ, the Prophets, and the Apostles. 12 Fundamental Truths 1) The day of the rescue (rapture) of the Church will be the day God's wrath unexpectedly begins to fall upon the unbelieving, Christ-rejecting, world. Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. Luk 17:27 They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Luk 17:28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; Luk 17:29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Luk 17:30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. 2) The day the church rests from persecution is the day of Christ's revelation in the clouds with the mighty angels initiating vengeance upon those who were our persecutors. 2Th 1:6 Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to them that trouble you; 2Th 1:7 And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels, 2Th 1:8 In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 2Th 1:9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power; 2Th 1:10 When he shall come to be glorified in his saints, and to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day. 3) The church is not appointed unto God's wrath in the day of the Lord. 1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 1Th 5:6 Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober. 1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 1Th 5:8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation. 1Th 5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 4) The watching believer will not be caught by surprise upon the day of the Lord. 1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 1Th 5:5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. 5) The coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ begins and is equivalent to the day of the Lord or the day of Christ. 2Th 2:1 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, 2Th 2:2 That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. 6) The cosmic sign spoken of by Joel and Peter must come prior to the day of the Lord. Joe 2:31 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come. Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: 7) The day of the Lord can not come until after the sixth seal is opened, because it is then that John sees Joel's cosmic sign. Rev 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood; Rev 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken of a mighty wind. Rev 6:14 And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together; and every mountain and island were moved out of their places. 8 ) The coming (parousia) of our Lord Jesus Christ is when the first resurrection and the catching up of those believers who are alive and remain takes place. 1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 9) The coming of Christ takes place immediately after the great tribulation. Mat 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Mat 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 10) The great tribulation begins in the middle of the seventieth week. Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Dan 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate. 11) The great tribulation is the unprecedented violent persecution of the elect who follow Christ. Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. Mat 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Mat 24:9 Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. 12) The Devil focuses his wrath upon Israel and the followers of Christ when he is cast out of Heaven in the middle of the week. Rev 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. Rev 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he was cast unto the earth, he persecuted the woman which brought forth the man child. Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent. Rev 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood. Rev 12:16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth. Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ. Glory to Jesus Christ

  35. I guess because of Luke 17 in light of Eccles. 12 LUKE 17 [5] And the apostles said unto the Lord, INCREASE OUR FAITH. [6] And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. [7] But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? [8] And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? [9] DOTH HE THANK THAT SERVANT BECAUSE HE DID THE THINGS THAT WERE COMMANDED HIM? I TROW NOT. [10] So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are commanded you, say, WE ARE UNPROFITABLE SERVANTS: WE HAVE DONE THAT WHICH WAS OUR DUTY TO DO. Verse 9. Some parables are so clear. Even though we have done which was our duty to do and did the things commanded of us, we are still unprofitable servants. Filthy rags. Its only by grace through faith that we are saved. OK, so what is our duty that we must do? ECCLES. 12 [8] Vanity of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. [9] And moreover, because the preacher was wise, he still taught the people knowledge; yea, he gave good heed, and sought out, and set in order many proverbs. [10] The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth. [11] THE WORDS OF THE WISE are as goads, and as nails fastened by the masters of assemblies, which are given from ONE SHEPHERD. [12] And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh. [13] LET US HEAR THE CONCLUSION OF THE WHOLE MATTER: FEAR GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN. [14] For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil. Theres the conclusion of the whole matter. Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.

  36. MATT.22 [35] Then one of them, which was a lawyer, asked him a question, tempting him, and saying, [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law?[37] Jesus said unto him, THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THY HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.[38] This is the first and great commandment.[39] And the second is like unto it, THOU SHALT LOVE THY NEIGHBOUR AS THYSELF.[40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Why do you believe that we no longer need keep Gods 10 commandments because of what Jesus said in Matthew? DEUT.6 [5] And THOU SHALT LOVE THE LORD THY GOD WITH ALL THINE HEART, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart [17] Ye shall diligently KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of the LORD your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he hath commanded thee. Jesus was only quoting scriptures from the old testament. And as you can see in above scripture the way to love GOD is to keep diligently the commandments. 1JOHN 5 [2] By this we know that we love the children of God, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS.[3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. And the new testament verifies the old testament as to how we are to show our love for God? In the new testament book of John. When we love God, we keep His commandments. LEV.19 [17] Thou shalt not hate thy brother in thine heart: thou shalt in any wise rebuke thy neighbour, and not suffer sin upon him.[18] Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, Again (thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself) Jesus is quoting scripture from the old testament. Do you agree that the people who lived in old testament times were under the 10 commandments. Of course they were. So why when Jesus quotes old testament scripture do you think the 10 commandments are now done away with? 2JOHN1 [5] And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that WE LOVE ONE ANOTHER.[6] AND THIS IS LOVE, THAT WE WALK AFTER HIS COMMANDMENTS. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it. In John, you can read how we are to love our neighbour according to the NEW TESTAMENT. It’s the same way that it says in the old testament. KEEP GODS 10 COMMANDMENTS. Jesus is the same today, yesterday and forever.

  37. Something you may want to look into that I have heard spoken about before but never followed up on is current world population based upon modern man's acknowledged arrival at historic rates of reproduction . life spans , etc, etc, etc . Seems to me I chanced upon a discussion one time ,sort of in the middle of it , and it was pretty eye opening . Sort of in the way that most people do not realize until to work it out that if you took one penny today doubled it tomorrow and kept doubling it every day for 6 months you would never have to earn another cent the rest of you life . I will look into it myself and let you know if I can find out anything .

  38. Hi Dennis, Thanks for sharing. I am not concerned about my DNA being used by government. Government already has everything it needs to track me should it desire. ----- I was fingerprinted in order to enter the funeral industry some 56 years ago, I have been on file with State and the feds also in order to work around children. I have a smart phone that beeps my location out to many entities, and even a computer that tells on me to advertisers. Soon I will likely have a refrigerator that will confess my eating habits. So I am not worried about Ancestry.dna At worse if bad stuff comes my way and I die it is a "hello Jesus" moment, and a fulfillment of the victory by my Lord Jesus over the final enemy. "They" can't kill me I am eternal in Christ Jesus my soul will dwell with God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Yes, it the DNA results as they come in do just bring up more questions I suppose; sure it does. It also is bringing up visuals to my mind's eye of "more numerous than the sands", and the reality that God has always had my DNA in his "files". God has known my DNA before the beginning of it. I begin to further grasp the literalness of -He knows every hair on my head. God knows when a sparrow falls. None of that seems beyond comprehension, I had accepted it, but now when even the creation begins to better see the awesome power that has always been the creator it seems a blessing to me not a worry. Funny though Ancestry keeps modifying my heritage as they get more information. Makes me wonder how much of me is in spit? Ha evidently enough. Now I seem that have some Nortic traits. I guess I can can sing with enthusiasm even old country music - I've been everywhere man, I've been everywhere. -England, Wales, Portugal, France, Norway, Quebec (Say what eh?), New England, Michigan, Manitoba, I've been everywhere. Bet by the time they are done my spit will have come from everywhere. Here I had always thought I am Heinz 57, guess I knew all the time. And yes in some fashion in a few generations., it goes back to the first man and wo-man. My spit carries the imprint as an heir of Adam, and with it the wrath and curse of God upon the heirs of that man. Praise God for His mercy and for the saving grace of our Lord Jesus. For in that grace it doesn't matter who comes to get me. They can have this old beat up body. Please come, take it if you will, I'm looking to the new spiritual one anyway. To paraphrase a dumb old song well record if not song- They are coming to take me away to today they are going to take me away, but I don't care they can have their pound I am into the Spirit anyway. So take that old flesh away-please and thank you. A humbled saint in Christ Jesus saved by the grace that is awesome God the savior.

  39. Ah ha the hook and the bait is dangled before me now- My cousin has gone hog wild on this ancestry tree thing. Wow what a visual of how humans have been prolific in repopulating this earth! The tree is now like a plant gone wild covering a whole forest all with one tree. Man did the generations just ahead of us have huge families! I hadn't done much of anything with my own family tree. I have been the outsider of the family in part I guess by choice I don't know, But I put in the very few names I knew. Well today I looked and there was added a portrait of my fraternal side grandmother, and it was contributed by a person with the same family name as mine that I never heard of before. I can't contact him nor he me as I haven't anted up for the "services of the ancestry company . Ha clever these people dangle the hook try to get me to use that "free" 30 day trial period with them automatically dinging my credit card monthly from then on unless I cancel out. No thanks, hate that kind of presentation. But the picture? And who is this person from my home land town area that has my grandmother's portrait to contribute to the tree information? He posted it on his tree and it linked to mine the photo but not him other than to say who contributed the picture. Plus just seeing how fast one family tree grows has me visualizing the very small tribes in the various nations described in the Bible, and how they grew; also the taking of census of by the Romans must have been a real event and a half. Hey maybe I'll set up a family tree of the Bible begots and see if it will take that info. and link it to my tree, well maybe not. Might be fun to try anyway. I can see it coming they are going to get me into this thing after all. just because I was a nice guy and spit in a tube. -

  41. I actually beheld a 21 Century Indulgence. At a bookstore they had a St. Benedict Crucifix and a paper came with it which said “an indulgence from his holiness Pope Francis I.” ???☠️

  42. I don't want to jump into the ring here for it far to much to keep up with in discussion. Still I noticed you used John 20: 19-23 to justify sacrificial sin offerings. This misuse of scripture. Verse 23 is not about personal sacrifices to appears the church for sin. Jesus forgave freely for he made himself the sacrifice for our sins. To remit ones sins is a free gift. The debt has bee paid. Psalm 51: 16, 17 David said for thou desirest not sacrifice:else I would give it. Thou delightest not in burnt offering The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit and a contrite heart thou shalt not despise

  43. Peter is "little pebble". Jesus is the rock, clearly THE rock upon which the church is built. Unfortunately, a close reading of Catholic doctrine shows a sort of indulgence is still available, and many pay to have masses said for the dead. It's too late when one has passed to trust Christ for salvation! Don't put it off but trust Jesus today, calling on Him to wash away your sin.

  44. Hi Marilyn, Haven't talked to you in a while! Of course we don't know when the Rapture will take place, but as I said above I suspect it to occur any day or by 2028 possibly. But I keep a watchful eye daily and look up. Using my human reasoning, I can't imagine a reasonable explanation that will be given and believed to the disappearance of all the Christians suddenly? Other than something bizarre and supernatural that has yet to happen but will, or the minds of the unsaved will be blinded to reality?

  45. Hi Dennis, I agree that the maturing and catching away of the Body of Christ is very close. We are coming to the unity of the faith of Christ and His purposes. (Note not denomination unity). Now I don`t believe God has given us a date for this catching away, but I believe His Holy Spirit will stir our hearts at the close time - around the Russian war. As to the no one knows the day etc that was concerning the Day of the Lord, (trib) and it was said to Israel who were blinded at that time. Remember what the Holy Spirit said to the believers at Thessalonica - `you, brethren, are NOT in darkness that this day (trib) should overtake you as a thief.` (1 Thess. 5: 4) So we can know when the trib, will start but not exactly when we, the Body of Christ will go, till the last minute. My thoughts, Marilyn. BTW I would say less than 2 years.

  46. If you try to set a date. God will change it. I do believe it is around the corner. Just look at Russia and Iran. Also look in May Trump is moving the embassy. Now I know that is not part of the end time. It sure will cause a stir.

  47. No debate about that, no one knows the day nor the hour. But we are commanded to watch for the Lord's return and given many things to look for to determine the 'season'.
