  2. The sword, we swing it with our mouth --- the sword is actually a dagger, it is used for close combat, (the enemy whispering in your ear) and is hidden until needed, (thy Word have I hid in my heart). The word that is that dagger is the spoken word. So we hide the word in our heart like a hidden war-dagger; than when the devil comes to whisper those lies in our ears, we speak the word of God to him, and it is a stab and sends him fleeing!

  3. One of my favorite passages. I like to ponder what this means from time to time to remind myself that our war is not with the people, but with the forces behind their ways.

  4. I don't know if anyone can help me with this, I'm hoping that by writing about it I'll get rid of the frustration. I have no real siblings but I had 3 cousins that were more like siblings than cousins. Louis was my age and he was like a twin brother. Lou was blessed with a wonderful wife and 2 sons. But in Lou's family is a familial spirit that has been causing divorce as far back as anyone can remember. It also made some of them, but not all, interested in witchcraft. So at the age of 30 when I found Jesus, Lou was secretly practicing witchcraft. He had to keep it a secret because his wife, business partner, and me would have never put up with it. However, when we were 39 Lou started going to a New Age guru for lessons. The guru is supposed to have healing powers but when Lou, and the younger brother were sick and dying the guru did nothing. Meanwhile Maria who is as a sister, married the guru. She blames the deaths of her brothers on our God who she makes fun of. I try to get along with her since she's the only other 1 left but last Christmas she started a fight with me because she knows I'm a Christian. I also just found out that the family spirit is into Lou's oldest son's family. I used to be close with him but he doesn't like me anymore and I never knew why. Now I know, it's that family spirit wrecking havoc once again. Btw, this is why we who call the name of Jesus need to stop fighting and disagreeing over every little thing. We have real enemies and they use our in-fighting against us to make us look like a bunch of fools. This needs to stop. I guess I can use prayer so if anyone is willing please pray for me. It always helps.

  5. Ephesians 6:10-18 King James Version (KJV) 10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. 11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. 14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; 15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: 18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;

  6. Over 3 years ago, God started to speak to me deeply on the great sin of division, slander, and gossip in the body of Christ. God started to have me in situations where great hurt was being done and I saw first hand the way the enemy used these tactics to destroy and hurt the testimony of Jesus Christ in others lives. One of many devotional articles I wrote during that time was called: God's Church Is Sacred In This Earth. The premise of the devotion was a warning that when we speak against the body of Christ we speak against God's Sacred Church of whom we are all a part. Recently, God spoke to Francis Chan on that exact same verse (1 Corinthians 3:17) to give us a loving warning to the body of Christ against division. Here is a recent statement Francis made in regards to people who divide and leave Church fellowship: "There is this terrifying verse in 1 Timothy where Paul talked about two men who rejected the faith. Paul said that he had handed them over to Satan, by which he meant that he’d put them outside of the church (1:20). Basically, these men were actively opposing the works of God, so rather than pretending everything was fine, Paul removed them from the safety and blessings of the fellowship of believers. He was hoping that the misery of being separated from the church would lead them to repent. Are you catching the weight of this? Paul equated removal from the church with being handed over to Satan! It is crazy to me that we live in a time when people are voluntarily doing this to themselves! No church has placed them outside of the fellowship; instead, they’ve handed themselves over to Satan!" What a sobering thought that those in our day in North America being critical of so much that is called Christian are doing to themselves what Paul the Apostle had to recommend Timothy to do to others as a last resort to have them repent of their pride and sins. We are living in a day where we are judging others and not ourselves. We are finding it easy to be critical of everything but our own sins we ourselves struggle with. Francis again shares on how God wants to send real unity to the body of Christ: "Real love, unity and blessing were supposed to be found in the church. Many are having a hard time finding that, so they’re setting off on their own. Jesus said that the world would see the supernatural unity and love we share in the church and believe in Him through that. But we’re not experiencing it. We’ve given up on it. We no longer believe it is possible." Perhaps we can start to change our minds and start looking towards others with seeing their good and not bad, speaking blessings over others and not curses. Remember we are fitted together in a temple of God with all saints of all ages. And Francis gives the example of someone taking a sledgehammer to this temple. What a fearful thing to do, of course we would depart from such an individual for fear of what God Himself would do to him. As the Scripture says, "Warn a divisive person once, and then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with them" (Titus 3:10).

  7. Being effmeniate will . its gay men , those who live as women . That is sin . Simple long hair for a man is a shame . being and acting woman like IS A SIN . Lets put a difference between that . I mean Sampson had a vow and thus his hair was long . IF having long hair alone was being effimate , GOD WOULD NEVER ALLOWED IT . Lets put a difference . Long hair for a man is a shame , but it alone is not being EFFEMINATE . Their are short haired gay men who are in willfull sin and effeminate . Hair alone does not make one effiemnate . OR as I said WHEN Sampson had that vow , WHY would GOD HONOR what is effinmate , IF hair alone IS effinmate . Come now , let us not be contentious and strike into the hearts of men WRONG UNDERSTANDING .

  8. No it don't stop, in fact its only getting way worse in its delusion . And I , for one , am going to do all by the grace of Christ to continue to expose this monster . Knowing full well, this lie comes not from God . Its simply a delusion that will lead the world and religions and faiths as one to unite under a one common inclusive god , who will then rise up and with kings hunt for the true lambs . LOOK at who this spirit hates . They include every sin just about , and it only rebukes the faithful who warn . Just remember this , they are but men and can kill only the body . And yes they will believe they do gods will when we are rounded up and killed . I honestly don't think some realize when it says that all not in the lambs book of life will worship the beast , how true this is . And that GOD does send a strong delusion and that all who rejected the love of the truth will believe that lie . I have never seen spirits now with such speed uniting everything contrary to Christ to become as one . I mean , not only has sin risen to a level world wide and no longer hidden but celebrated but at the same time we got THIS move , uniting all under a common banner of unity and peace with a false love . I truly don't think many see how clear this is and that something key In Daniel had to occur , BEFORE the dark king rises . transgressors had to come to the full , and WOE they surely are . And then BY PEACE , yeah you heard that word right , byPEACE shall he destroy many . Not a bit of this is coinincidence , ITS PROPHECY that was long ago given faithful men who wrote it down so the true church would know .

  14. “Christ in us” These words portray our salvation in its entirety. “Christ in us,” or the “new birth”, or the “new creation”. All words putting forth the same truth, which is, “Christ in us.” The manifestation of our salvation, is the manifestation of the life of Christ truly being brought forth in our lives. That Christ being “written in our hearts” in the here and now, for the purpose “that He might be read by all men” (the fruit(s) of the Spirit which is the life of Christ being manifested in the believers life). We are told in scripture to “grow up in all things”, meaning that we can grow, we are meant to grow, that it is something that should be happening in our lives. Matters not where we are in our growth, only that we are growing, and we are refusing to stop growing. We are also told that Paul had a particular insight into the “mystery of our salvation” or the meaning and experience of what “Christ in us” was meant to portray. By this we see that there is a deeper meaning and understanding of the mystery of our salvation available to man. Would to God our hearts, like Paul’s, would cry out to be put into possession of the truth and reality of this truth. And as the next words bring forth; “the hope of glory” This is that, that will be our glory for all eternity. The fact that the life of Christ has been brought to life “in us”. Oh that we, like Paul, would have our eyes opened that we could see like he saw. Blessing to all that would be willing. Much love in Christ, Not me

  15. Shalom, Uriah. Not much time, for now, I'll just say this: Revelation 21:1-4 (KJV) 1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. It's not the reverse! We don't go to be with Him; HE comes to be with US! That which is "level ground" in Florida is the same as that which is "level ground" in Wisconsin, despite the curvature of the earth! THINK ABOUT IT!

  16. @sermonindex Good point. A few quotes from the pro RCC link Greg Gordon has provided with these "42,000 denominational" statistics: "For Protestants, this site makes a strong case against Protestantism and makes a strong case for Catholicism." Followed by a suggested prayer towards the dead from the same site, sinful prayers towards the deceased Mary, which is a form of necromancy which God forbids. Calling for "Our Lady of Fatima" (Mary) to "pray for us" and "save a soul...: "This site is under the patroness of Our Lady of Fatima. Our Lady of Fatima, guide our words so that we may bring souls closer to the Word (John 1:1,14; Hebrews 4:12-15). Our Lady of Fatima, pray for us. Our Lady of Fatima, save a soul, forgetting not our own." The page goes on making a case for the falsehood of ecumenicism, the very thing Francis Chan is now embracing.

  17. I took a look at the mixed up video of Francis Chan's called "Are You Destroying The Church." It contains some truth, some Scripture twisting, and some error. He implies a unity at all cost mentality, or "god" will destroy those speaking out against his version of so called "unity." A tactic that I've seen for many years by those who are in error used to "silence" any nah sayers, with a "curse of death from God" mentality if you were dare to speak up. On the side of error, Mr. Chan sided with a number of "known names" in our generation that others brought up in this forum. Rick Warren, who embraces the Emergent church. Mark Driscoll with his filthy "potty mouth." Mike Bickle with his "dominion theology," and "mystical centering prayers." And John Piper, a Lectio Divina advocate in the past, who boarders into Contemplative prayer by embracing the mystic Richard Foster, and says of Rick Warren “At root I think he is theological and doctrinal and sound.” These are but a small number that are entrenched in mixing up the Gospel with the world. The "world" is in much of the church now, when we are "supposed" to be a light to the world, not the other way around allowing the dark light of the sinful world into the church. Mr. Chan, who sides with them over Saints who would Biblically expose their errors to be "divisive," and to have nothing to do with them after two warnings. In obfuscating the meaning of the verse he brought up that is found in Titus 3:10, he goes about twisting it to protect the guilty, while calling out those who point out their errors as being the divisive ones who don't want the unity he speaks of. He goes on and on about God destroying the temple, which we are, and then implies "god" will destroy you. Followed up by asking: 16:54 "Are you going to bash Rick Warren? This is a guy who loves the Lord." Are you going to attack Mark Driscoll, are you going to attack John Piper? Are you going to attack Mike Bickle? 17:45 "And I'm reading this, and I'm like, "god, how come more people aren't dead?" "...And here's what I hear from the lord, they haven't been warned." "The church hasn't warned people. We listen to gossip." "...Warn the divisive person, warn them again, then the bible says have nothing to do with them." It's like, if your going to keep striking the temple, then I need to get away from you." (Referring to any who would dare critique Rick Warren, Mark Driscoll, John Piper, Mike Bickle and many others like them.) While I'm not sure what Bible version Mr. Chan is quoting from, this is one of the places where the KJV carries more depth. In Titus 3:10, it uses the word "heretic" where a version like the ISV would use the word "divisive" the word that Mr. Chan used. Either version however, states in the following verse, that the individual is sinning, and condemned of himself. Are people who "rightly" point out God's truths for the love of the Body of Christ to keep them from the wolves sinning and commending themselves? No, of course not! (KJV) Titus 3:10-11 A man that is an heretick after the first and second admonition reject; (11) Knowing that he that is such is subverted, and sinneth, being condemned of himself. (ISV) Titus 3:10-11 Have nothing to do with a divisive person after you have warned him once or twice. (11) For you know that a person like this is corrupt and keeps on sinning, being self-condemned. Noah Webster's 1828 Dictionary (In part) DIVISIVE, a. 1. Forming division or distribution. 2. Creating division or discord. HER'ETIC, n. 1. A person under any religion, but particularly the christian, who holds and teaches opinions repugnant to the established faith, or that which is made the standard of orthodoxy. In strictness, among christians, a person who holds and avows religious opinions contrary to the doctrines of Scripture, the only rule of faith and practice. 2. Any one who maintains erroneous opinions. Mr. Chan mentions "gossip" not in context of what a true sinful gossip is, but twist the meaning of the word towards any that would dare speak out against any questionable or outright false "preachers" in our day. Even if they themselves speak well outside of God's Word, taking it out of context. Those that speak out against these men, as the Word of God calls some to do in the Body of Christ by Mr. Chan's statements, he is basically saying we are "idle tattlers, idle talkers, those who tell idle tales." Nothing could be further from the Truth. Handling the Word of God in context, and exposing error as was often done in the New and Old Testaments does not qualify as "gossip." Would Mr. Chan rebuke the Apostles and Prophets for calling out ungodly false men and women who were mockers, false teachers, hypocrites and liars as "gossips" as well? GOS'SIP, n. One who runs from house to house, tattling and telling news; an idle tattler. Mere tattle; idle talk. To run about and tattle; to tell idle tales. In the above, this side of Mr. Chan's "love" is lacking, and "crazy." He would do well to heed those who are called to be the "eyes" in the Body of Christ as they present God's Word against fallacious teachings. On a another note of interest, Francis Chan from some of his past has an "Evangelicals and (Roman) Catholics Together" mentality. "And virtually every doctrine that can be found in evangelical Christianity is also reflected in Catholicism." - Francis Chan As an "ex Roman Catholic" myself, he must not understand Roman Catholicism very well with it's Transubstantiation christ, a christ who is sacrificed time and time again as Rome twist about the metaphorical meaning found in John 6:53-56. He died ONCE and for ALL: John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and He bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. For ANY who would call upon Him: Romans 10:12-13 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. (13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

  18. When I blow it – God longs to quickly restore me God’s door – it’s always open to me When I’m: -Seething with anger, resentment and unforgiveness, or -Wallowing in self-pity and seeking sympathy, or -Pouting with pride and self-justification, or -Overcome with guilt and self-loathing falsely believing this is humility, And therefore I’m unhappy, troubled and with a totally dark and negative outlook on everything and I suddenly realize where I am – in a pit – I should: Go to God immediately and nowhere else, for He will always lovingly cleanse and deliver me from my anger, self-pity, pride and guilt, and the misery of them. He will completely change my perspective on my circumstances and on people to one that is positive, light and peaceful so restoring my happiness and confidence in Him. Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 13:5&6 ...For He has said, I will never leave you, nor forsake you. So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man can do to me. The more I do this, going directly to God when I’ve messed up and I’m in trouble, the more it becomes a good habit and the easier and quicker I’m able to do it. God’s love for me never changes, never diminishes, His welcome is unwavering no matter what I’ve said or done I can never wear it out. If He wants me to extend forgiveness to others at least seven times seventy times what do you think the extent of His forgiveness towards me is – limitless. Remember the prodigal son; he messed up big time, what happened when he turned back to his father (a symbol of God our Father)? Luke 15:20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. Jeremiah 31:3 (God speaking)...Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love: God will never not forgive me – I really need to know that. Whenever I go to Him, after stumbling, and spend time quietly alone with Him my determination should be that I’m not going to leave until He has made me right again. I seek Him with my whole heart knowing that He can always be found. I am instantly and sincerely ready to say I’m sorry for any and all the wrongs I may have done, because I know that Jesus purchased my forgiveness at Calvary by taking those sins I just committed on Himself. I am completely unafraid of God’s reproof or correction or instruction because He does it by His Spirit through His word and, since He is love, He always does it in love. I John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. I Peter 2:24 Who his own self bore our sins in his own body on the tree... II Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: I John 4:16 And we have known and believed the love that God has to us. God is love;... When I go to Him He never fails to restore me to peace and to cause a morsel of scripture to come alive to my heart and thereby to strengthen, comfort and establish me. It is very safe always to go to God when I’m in trouble, He never turns me away and He always blesses and refreshes me. John 6:37 ...He who comes to me I will by no means cast out. Acts 3:19 ...When the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; My enemy doesn’t want me to go to God When I yield to temptation and sin, be it pride, anger, self-pity or whatever, it wasn’t God that tempted me, it was Satan who the Bible describes as the tempter. Having then successfully tempted me it is Satan again who heaps accusing and condemnation thoughts on me for what I’ve just done. Part of that condemnation will always include how I do not deserve to be forgiven (as if forgiveness was on the basis of what I deserve) and therefore I shouldn’t even think about going to God. This thought coupled with the fact that I may not “feel” like going to God, because my flesh may want to savor its anger, pride or self-pity, keeps many believers from a quick recovery and they remain captives. These lying thoughts and feelings can only be overcome if my heart is established in the truth that God wants me to come to Him regardless, and if I then act on the truth instead of the lie. James 1:13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempts He any man: 1 Cor. 7:5 ...That Satan tempt you not... Rom. 8:34 Who is he that condemns, is it Christ that died...? 1 Tim. 3:6 ...lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil. Of course if the enemy of my soul can trick me (that’s what “wiles of the devil” means) into believing that God was responsible for my fall with a thought such as “why did you let this happen to me God?” then Satan really has me in a headlock. Not only am I not going to God to free me, but now I have a resentment against God, the very worst thing a Christian can possibly do. Once again, it is only my knowing the truth in my heart that God always desires to either lead me away from temptation or sustain me in and deliver me from the temptation that will keep me from this awful snare of the devil. Mat. 6:13(God wants me to pray and believe daily) And do not lead me into temptation (so that He can then always lead me out of it). 1 Cor. 10:13 There is no temptation that has taken you that isn’t common to man but God is faithful and will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able to bear, but will along with the temptation also make a way of escape that you might be able to bear it. Hebrews 2:18 For in that He (Jesus) Himself has suffered being tempted, He is able to aid (assist and relieve) those who are tempted. I am in a war, the battle is in my thought life & it’s only winnable through God, Whether we know it or like it or not we Christians are constantly engaged in warfare and it’s a thought warfare. Unless I know the truth in my heart, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God is always good to me, always does the right thing, will always take care of me and can be utterly trusted, then I will be dead meat in the hands of my enemy. I will inevitably fall easy prey to the fiery darts of the character assassinating thoughts he gives me about God. Oh but when I believe in the unchanging goodness of God, turn quickly towards Him in my heart when trouble comes and stay anchored to the truth of His word, then the devil is dead meat and runs away in fear. Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles (deceiving thoughts) of the devil. Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood (people), but against ...wicked spirits... Psa. 27:13 I would have lost heart (and given up the fight) unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord... Psalms 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works. James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. When I know who my enemy is, it’s easier to always forgive people, as I should. Pride, anger and self-pity always come with contention, hostility and resentment towards other people, which will remain as invisible prison bars, with me the prisoner, until I forgive everyone of everything. This forgiveness is made easier when I understand that Christian people (me included) often do and say things contrary to their true nature when their thoughts, words and deeds are to varying degrees under the influence of wicked spirits. Unsaved people, according to the Bible, are unknowingly, by virtue of their being unsaved, much more heavily influenced by demons. It would be foolish of me to expect godly behavior from an unsaved and therefore ungodly person. Yes, as the scripture in Ephesians quoted above says, my fight is really not with people but with the spirits behind the people. Eph. 2:2-3 ...Following the prince of the power of the air (you were (Amp. Version) obedient to him and under his control) the demon spirit that still constantly works in the sons of disobedience...among these we as well as you once lived and conducted ourselves... When these realities are combined with the fact that the one who extended mercy towards me and my sins, requires and will enable me to extend the same mercy to others, then granting forgiveness becomes both desirable and achievable. Especially since the alternative, of harboring unforgiveness towards another, forfeits my own forgiveness from God. Mat. 10:8 ...Freely you have received (forgiveness) freely give Eph. 4:32 ...Forgiving one another even as God for Christ’s sake has forgiven you. Phil. 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Mat. 6:15 But If you do not forgive men (everyone of every thing) their trespasses neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. The same spirits that may have induced a person to wrong me will endeavor, through thoughts, to induce me to not forgive them. If I am to remain free I must come down on the side of God’s truth, knowing that He will empower me to do so, and, regardless of my feelings or even if the person is sorry, forgive them. After I’ve blown it and God has restored me, When I’m restored and learning to live more at peace in the spirit than in the flesh and troubled, it would be wise for me to let God start to strengthen my heart with His word in the area(s) of my weakness. Whether that weakness is anger, self-pity, pride, condemnation or whatever God not only will restore me when I fall but better yet His living words in my heart will literally change me so that I’m no longer vulnerable to falling in the same pit over and over again. Under the New Covenant God no longer requires that I measure up through self-effort and will power to His standard of right behavior, no, He offers to change my nature and actually make me more like Jesus. How, through planting individual scriptures in my heart as living seeds – these words of His in me are alive and very powerful and are the exclusive way God transforms a Christian into the image and likeness of His Son. Heb. 4:12 The word of God is alive and powerful... 1 Thes.2:13 ...The word of God which works mightily also in you that believe 2Cor 3:18 But we all...are being changed into the same image (of Jesus) Rom.8:29 ...To be conformed to the image of His Son... Scriptures, any one of which, if in my heart, will change my nature, Anger: The discretion of a man makes him slow to anger; and it is to his glory to overlook a transgression. Proverbs 19:11 Self-pity: For consider Him that endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls. Hebrews 12:3 Pride: Only by pride comes contention (arguing and quarreling).. Prov.13:10 Guilt: There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Rom. 8:1 Thank you Father for Your forgiveness!

  25. Brothers and sisters WHO LOVE THE LORD in SINCERITY , this exhortation is for you . COUNT the Cost . COUNT IT AND LOVE IT . Love it and embrace it . Embrace it and feast of it . And the cost of following JESUS is this . I don't care what I lose , nor do I hold my own life dear to me no longer . ITS ALL ABOUT SERVING THE ONE WHO HAS SAVED us and can KEEP US from falling . And if the price of this means even my death , THEN I EMBRACE IT , knowing full well OUR LORD IS WITH US and shall be with us . If loving the LORD costs us everything , THEN REJOICE AND SEE IT AS A GREAT GAIN OF WONDEROUS TREASURE . I thank GOD for saving one as dire wicked as I once was . I THANK GOD for calling me out of darkness and to Faith IN THE ONLY ONE who can and does save. IF loving the LORD seems wrong to many , THEN why would I want to be seen as right n those eyes . IF loving the LORD costs us the loss of earthen things , even sufferings and rejections , even in prisonment and even death . THEN SING THE LOUDEST SONG OF JOY TO THE LORD that HE was merciful enough to even LET us be partakers of any sufferings for HIS NAME SAKE . MOUNT UP and count the cost and be determined that no matter if the entire world and flood gates of hell comes against us , WE REJOICE IN THE LORD And IN HIS SALVATION , knowing FULL WELL that eternal life is FOREVER . NOW SING TO THE LORD . The signs of the times and the dreams I have been receiving as late , SHOWS ME that we will soon be betrayed as this delusion only abounds more and more . BE PREPARED N and BY THE LORD and by sound doctrine be BUILT UP in HIM . For a tidal wave of utter delusion is pouring in and will soon lead all not in the lambs book of life into total gross darkness , into betraying us and world wide too and all the while they will believe they do gods will and that his will is world peace .

Eph 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the {spoken] word of God: The helmet protects the brain, and spiritually thoughts; It protects us from the enemy placing thoughts in, it stands to reason that it also protects us from the enemy taking thoughts out. Again; I can not find in the scripture arguments for one way or the other - so until I do, I will protects my thoughts with the Word of God and faith as if he can read them... then all he will get is the Word.

  27. Due to we live in bodies of flesh , that flesh is lust filled death and is contrary . But I tell us all , while many will remind us of this truth , I do not see but a handful who POINTS to HE WHO IS GREATER than ALL . HE IS able to succor us , WE NEED ONLY HEED that alarm bell . When, not if , but WHEN a lustful thought arises , BRING TO SUBJECT TO CHRIST . Many folks wander in bondage due to they are not being taught the whole reason JESUS died on the cross. While PRAISE the LORD it was to pay the price of our sins , And OH PRAISE THE LORD for this . Two things both peter and paul said as well are these . He took on our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to SIN , should live unto righteousness. Many pastors don't teach the POWER of CHRIST , thus folks just give up and wallow , thinking oh we saved . But saved from what .......... JESUS came to set those in bondage to sin , FREE FROM the power of satan , the power of darkness. I have heard it said we have no power against sin . We don't , BUT CHRIST DOES . And most folks are not getting taught the dire dangers of sin and what sin WILL DO if one remains in it . SO let paul say this word . EXHORT one another daily , lest any does become HARDENED THROUGH the deceitfulness of sin . JOHN told us something . HE said GOD will hear ANY of our prayers that are ACCORDING TO HIS WILL . DO we think , then, if a man cries out for aide to cease their error GOD will not hear that . HE WILL . HIS DESIRE is that we FOLLOW CHRIST . Folks , men need to start teaching them churches this and stop the effect of harmful words they do teach . POINT TO CHRIST who will and does give us all WE NEED TO OVERCOME the evil . FOR IT is HE in us working that which is WELL PLEASING IN HIS SIGHT . SO FOLLOW HIM , for HE is LIGHT , HIS WORDS are life , and it is IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM to lead us into darkness. Their is no darkness in HIM and darkness does not abide even near him . HE IS LIGHT and in HIS BLOOD their is POWER . Now lusts will and do choke the word out . SO , let us be fast to correct , POINTING to CHRIST who gives us all things , gives us all the aide we need . And let us THROW those hands up and Praise the LORD .

  28. That's the first I've ever heard about that Russian road you speak of. As far as the resurrection, yes, I've pondered on it and it's beyond my comprehension, how the Lord will accomplish it? I had two trains of though on it, but only one of my thoughts fit scripture. The Lord knows the number of hairs on our head, etc. I could translate that to mean, He knows and has a record of our individual complete DNA genetic makeup. He can / could exactly and perfectly recreate our bodies as they were and incorruptible. I've thought about (as many have) the people who perished by fire, ate by sharks, their bodies were completely destroyed, scattered and recycled, etc. Adam (therefore us) was not spoken into existence, Adam was a material mold made by God from the dust of the Earth. It's well beyond my ability to understand it, but science suggests "information" is never destroyed, but scattered / transferred elsewhere, and it's possible to regather that information. Yeah me too, above my pay grade. It's my opinion the Bible suggests our physical makeup will be completely regathered from the four corners of the earth and put together (refashioned), and the corruption will be changed to incorruptible instantly. Regardless of the means the Lord uses to accomplish our resurrected bodies, we know that He will. The Lord created two families, one spiritual and one flesh. Ever think about 'why' we are given eternal flesh bodies again and not remain spiritual? I don't know but I'm guessing it's to finish God's original plan for His creation (Adam) to live, take dominion of and tend and rule the Earth? It seems Satan was the usurper of Adam's intended role? I've read commentaries on why Satan and his minions hate humanity in general, and the Hebrews / Jew's in particular. They became jealous because we were created in the image of God (they were not) and we're His imager's here on Earth. I'm not claiming my views on all the above are correct, just how I interpret scripture and my mind pictures it.

  30. Don't be discouraged JTC.....the problem is basically this....that ever since Paul departed wolves came in a decimated the flock just as he said would happen. With everyone running after all these different men, saying "I am of so-and-so, or I am of such-and-such" rather than looking to Christ, as the Head of His Body. That is what divides the flock, everyone following another head besides Christ. BUT the thing is God has allowed these things to happen in order to test and try our hearts: Deu 13:1-4 If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder, And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them; Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God proveth you, to know whether ye love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him. Amen, the Lord is ruling and reigning in all these things....so HE is the one we are to serve, HE the one we are to follow, HE is the one we are to fear and worship, for HE alone is worthy. Love HIM, not so-and-so or such-and-such. Love the TRUTH and be found on His right side in the end. And know that He always keeps for Himself a remnant......it has always really been about the remnant down through the ages, though everyone has an equal opportunity to be part of it.

  31. ooooh brother.......don't heed what Frances says, because it is the Lord Himself taking a sledgehammer to His temple in these last days because it has fallen away from sound doctrine.....and He is warning us to come out of her that we not partake of her plagues. Remember what happened to the temple in Jerusalem? Don't think He wouldn't do it to "the church" in her apostasy. There is nothing new under the sun my friend. Judgment is beginning with HIS house. Remember Jesus saying to think not that He came to bring peace but a sword.....a two edged sword dividing between bone and marrow and separating the sheep from the goats, the wheat from the tares. Even Paul rose up to confront Peter in front of everyone when he was going badly off track and leading others astray....how divisive was that. The true Body of Christ is not divided, but is one in Spirit with each other and with the Lord....by their fruits you shall know them. There is a division that is absolutely appropriate and that is the division between the true church and the false counterfeit, between the true gospel and false gospels.

  32. No, not really. If that is what they think, they are no longer evangelical, they have just become nominal Christians, Christians in name only who call might call themselves evangelicals. Evangelicals know there is only one way to God, and that God is not okay with all religions. They are abominations, but those in them are still objects of His intense love who He wants us to reach. That is WHY we are evangelicals, because we evangelize the lost, bringing them the good news of salvation the only way there is, through faith in the virtuous life, the sacrificial death, and the victorious resurrection of Jesus of Nazareth, God's only begotten Son.

  33. This topic by the op has in its title "Francis Chan warns..." If we put stock in what someone proclaims, then it is important we first research said individual. We must consider if he is biblically sound or has compromised before we look to him as a source of credibility. I thank those here who have done this and have mentioned the emergent false teachers and New Apostolic Reformation leaders who Francis Chan is endorsing. But even beyond Francis Chan- common sense tells you that unity is only right when it is based upon the truth of scripture. If sound doctrine is being compromised, we must not overlook it (and thus, be indirectly supporting it!) in the name of the word 'unity.' The One World Church of the end times will be the rotten fruit that will result!

  34. Unity has become the buzz word heading of deception for a while now. Unity is a truth just as holiness is a truth. When we make a truth our focus, no matter how true it is, we can make it a lie. Look what happens when holiness becomes the central focus of a fellowship. Legalistic expectations that Paul likened to witchcraft. "You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you?" Holiness is important and we don't want to down play holiness but apart from Jesus we have nothing, Our righteousness is as filthy rags. We cannot produce holiness apart from abiding in Christ. He is the vine. Signs and wonders are not the key to belief, nor is feeding the poor, or taking care of the sick or orphans nor is unity some magical key for salvation. These are all good and part of our Christian witness also spiritual gifts are vital because without them we have no ability to disciple or preach or the world to be convicted of sin. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. The gospel. Unity is being used, as all deception does, to get our eyes on the temporal things of this world. The one thing the spirit of the age, the spirit of anti-Christ, engages in is getting our minds on things below. We are told to put on the mind of Christ. Making a truth, no matter how true it is, our central concern elevates it above The Truth, Jesus Christ. In Him are all things. Ecumenical unity of today is a deception. It isn't just about Christian denominations, that's just a selling point, but about all world religion. It's the reality of the prophecy in Zechariah 5 of the wicked woman in the basket with the lead cover and the two women with wings of a stork carrying it off to Shinar, the region of Babylon. The coming 'Babylon the Great' mentioned in Revelation. Unity of the worlds religions. The only unity we have is in Christ Jesus. Unity is only possible by abiding in Jesus, He is the truth.

  35. The first thing i notice from the link is that, as i suspected, independent nondenominational churches are indeed counted as denominations. This is a problem fundamentally, as many such churches that are doctrinally do not at all consider themselves disconnected from the remainder of Christianity, but instead consider themselves an intricate part of it and actively fellowship with members of other churches, both denominational and non-denominational. If claims such as this are going to be made, it's usually best to quantify things like this as best as is reasonably possible rather than lumping all into one category. Collective statistics such as this can make it seem as if churches such as this consider themselves separate from the remainder of Christianity and do not fellowship nor hold themselves accountable to others in the body. It also interweaves heretical/apostate nondenominational churches into the same web as those who are full of true followers of Christ. Then I, personally, would refrain from using said number (though it is your prerogative to do so and I certainly hold nothing against you for it). I believe it is unreasonable for the compilers of such lists to count apostate churches amongst those that truly follow Christ. One problem that can certainly lead to is the mistaken assumption that unity would then entail entering fellowship or even placing oneself under the teaching of those who are entirely heretical and need to hear the gospel themselves.

  36. YEP . PAUL sure did say that . ONLY here is how he said it . MARK those who cause divisions , who teach contrary TO SOUND DOCTRINE mark those and have NO UNITY or COMPANY with them. SO YES beware of DIVISION in the churches and beware of this false UNITY which omits what paul both said and taught . IF any teaches otherwise and consents not to the wholesome words of our LORD . The teachings CHRIST and the apostels gave , SURE SOUND WAY DIFFERENT that the implications many teach today for this sorry inclusive unity . SOUNDS like its time for a complete return to BIBLE only reading and a pure first love which HONORS CHRIST FIRST back on hearts .

  37. I think there's an important distinction that needs to be made between those who you are willing to fellowship with and with regards to whose teaching you put yourself under, because ultimately that is what is in view here. How many denominations are there actually is the question that I would ask. But really, to get at the point, I have a hard time believing the number 42,000, particularly with regard to what one considers denominations. What is counted under that umbrella? Are mormons of various sects? Are those preaching the "social gospel?" Prosperity gospel? Etc. Are individual nondenominational churches being counted as "denominations?" What percentage of the churches on this list are totally apostate and therefore not actual churches at all? When discussions like this happen, I believe it's important to go back and take a look at the underlying data to ensure that the discussion that is being had is the one that needs to be had.

  39. I don't disagree with the content, but i think it's important for people to understand that unity should never come at the sacrifice of sound doctrine. I think it's important to address that concurrently. Addressing only one or only the other can lead to terrible consequences in the long term.

  41. We have a lot of coyote in our area as well. They run during early morning and in the evenings and may be alone, in pairs or in packs. When I worked on school busses I would see them hop over consecutive fences of back yards. They would check the pets food dishes and look for garbage, then on to the next. They also use the railroad corridors and find bunnies and jack rabbits(hare), prairie dogs and gopher, They don't usually eat dogs but will kill them. The U of WA radio collared some and found that they had the run of downtown Seattle as well as the surrounding towns, covering 20 miles or so as a territory. They could be very secretive and could come and go from its den in a vacant lot without the researcher seeing it. Since urban sprawl has invaded their area, they have simply adapted. On the edges of town they are more apt to run in packs and can be heard howling. We had a pack run through our camp one time, and a neighbor's St Bernard issued one warning woof and then was quiet. Even our Lhasa Apso issued a soft woof and then hunkered down. The pack thundered through and then made a kill on the other side--probably deer. I have never heard of them attacking people since they are very able to evade us, but if cornered I am sure anything is possible. I don't fear the coyote but I do fear for my small dogs. The more rural areas lose a lot of pets to them. They do not domesticate as wolves can sometimes do. But I admire them. We have also had cougar, moose, a large elk heard, and a lot of deer spotted in our area, especially along the rivers. Of all them I would most fear moose and possibly cougar. We see a lot of black bear in the mountains but they run from us. If a cub is spotted we run for the car because mama is not far away.

  44. The topic of Paul's thorn is one of the most grievous ones of all, as there are so many argumentative and passionate responses. I think it is important to look to scripture as much as possible, and this is a good case for doing that. The question or challenge emanates from 2 Corinthians 12:7, so let's go there. 2 Corinthians 12:7 NASB 7) Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me--to keep me from exalting myself! a thorn - skólops; Something pointed, sharp, as a stake, the point of a hook, a thorn, prickle (Sept.: Hos_2:6). In 2Co_12:7, "a thorn in the flesh," something which causes severe pain or constant irritation. Word Study Dictionary If someone asked me, what Paul's thorn in the flesh was, I would have to start by telling them that Paul's primary audience was Jewish converts. Think about that for a moment. For years, in every town that Paul entered, he looked for a synagogue, and there is where he started preaching that grace and mercy were fulfilled in Yeshua, the Messiah. Paul told us that he excelled beyond his peers in knowledge of the law, and so, I can be confident that he knew the law and the prophets. This knowledge and understanding also tell me that he used language that his audience was familiar with, and, he was not trying to confuse them. So when he says, I have been given a thorn in the flesh, there is a direct association for his audience with Numbers 33:55 NASB 'But if you do not drive out the inhabitants of the land from before you, then it shall come about that those whom you let remain of them will become as pricks in your eyes and as thorns in your sides, and they will trouble you in the land in which you live.' Numbers 33:55 NASB Young's literal translation says it this way: "those whom ye let remain of them, are for pricks in your eyes, and for thorns in your sides, and they have distressed you on the land in which ye are dwelling," Consider that Paul, while under the moniker of Saul, had a hot temper. How do we know that? In Acts 7:58 Saul is holding the cloaks of those stoning Stephen; Acts 8:1 Saul was assenting to his death. and in Acts 9 We see Saul, yet breathing of threatening and slaughter to the disciples of the Lord, when God knocked him to the ground and spoke to him. We have two massive clues that tell us what might explain Paul's thorn. By his own words: "Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself." The knowledge that motivated Saul to imprison and kill followers of this new way, is the background to the grace and mercy that Paul is now preaching. This is huge and there is almost no one else teaching these truths in Paul's day. "there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me -" Whether by God or by the enemy it's there. But, again, by Paul's own words, there is the acknowledgment that this is a messenger of Satan. Apply a little logic here. People often fulfill Satan's roles on this earth, but then, so do we, as we choose to act out in the flesh. We act out in the flesh when we choose to do what we want, even if it's throwing a tantrum. Now, because we have Numbers 33:55 we can understand that the thorns also applied to people. In this Nations with their gods and idolatrous ways. Can people be thorns in the flesh? Absolutely. Can Satan send people to be your thorn in the flesh? Absolutely. Ahh, but we don't get to do like Samuel the prophet did and hack the offending person to death. We can, however, draw boundaries and shut down lines of communication or access. "to keep me from exalting myself!" One might think that God may not want you to exalt yourself, and that seems logical, and yet, we see many examples of this personal exalting on the television; all in the name of godliness. But then, neither does Satan. Was Paul tortured, stoned, and left for dead? Yes. Is there a strong possibility that Paul had bad eyesight? It would seem so. But these things do not, by themselves, fulfill the parameters that Paul explains and Numbers 35:55 tell us.
