  1. Scripture says; 1 John 2:16 (NASB) For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. How can it be said that all these desires we have came, “not from the Father but from the world”? Reason being, that this is what the fall of Adam produced in him, and us, his offspring. These lusts of the flesh/eyes, pride of life, is that very life of self that must be given up, if we are to walk in newness of life. It is the fall into the life of this world that is, and was Adam’s separation from God. (As it is true in us today.) So all these desires of this life/world came “not from the Father but from the world”. If we want to grow in our salvation we have in Christ, the life of this world with all it’s desires and lusts must be given up, or reckoned dead in us. Which is what the foundation and way of walking in newness of life, that was given us, consists of. Scripture also says; “Do not love the world nor the things in the world.” Because; “The world is passing away, and [also] its lusts;” All these desires of this life are not to be found again in us in Heaven. As children of God we are told to leave them behind and walk in newness of life, in the time we have in the body. But the only way for the old life in us to die, is for us to really die, or to be joined to one that has died. So His death becomes ours, and we are freed from the life of this world with all its lusts, that we inherited from Adam when he fell. (Which is that which separates us from God.) But Praise be to the One who died for us, and joined us with Him in His death so we might walk in newness of life in the time of our sojourn in this world. Love not the world or the things of the world for they are passing away. So; Unto Him for making a way in the darkness that we might walk in newness of life and be restored in our fellowship with Him. Blessings as we grow up and unto Him. For; “God, you are God, and you are my/our Creator.” Much love in Christ, Not me edit; The how, is, to by faith, reckon yourself dead unto sin but alive unto God. Blessings

  2. Hi all, Had the fine privilege and personal pleasure of attending the Christmas program at the Cove, Ashville, North Carolina, featuring Fernando Ortega. My sweet Texas peach and I are Ortega groupies I guess. Of course it was scheduled for the Friday night of the predicted incoming winter storm of the century to hit SC. NC. GA. and VA. We were staying at the Cove, and were told during the Friday evening worship concert by Fernando that we would all have to leave the mountain early Saturday. We must all get off the mountain by 10:00 AM. that by noon the mountain will be too dangerous to be on and all their staff must get off of it by then. State Parkways and national forest roads had already been closed in the area. Well whoopie. I had planned to drive across State to the TN. border on the backside of Hiawasee Lake stay there a few days and then drive through Georgia to South Carolina to Greenville and fly home from there. Hmm, what to do? Can't seem to escape the path of the storm. So, I decided we go on with our plan and drive to the cabin we had secured for the visit (The cabin owners had texted us that if we get trapped at the cabin they will not charge us for an extended stay- kinda of funny, if not encouraging). Everywhere we went the roads were clear, the storm hardly existent, and we had a grand time of retreat! Drove on clear clean roads through snowy white SC. and GA., having had no issues whatsoever from this so called storm of the century. Kept seeing TV's weather channel people hyping it, but it just wasn't where we were whenever we were in the areas. We had a wonderful time, even went through the Biltmore estate at evening with all the Christmas decorations and music. I do so love what I have come to know of North Carolina residents. They tend to end every conversation with, may God bless. Best of all though was that we got to share the stay at the Cove and the concert with my cousin and her husband, a nice reunion of sorts for me. The adventure set the stage for a worshipful time all through this advent season. Thank you Lord. I do hope and continue to pray that each of you have some memories building about this Christmas that will help lift you during the coming year, as God allows, for each day's adventure.

  3. Yippee yippee yippie! So true my Sister in Christ.! Nothing matters but the “Product in the container” or the New Creation same thing. To know and sense this truth inwardly like you obviously do. Gives the heart such foundation and freedom in that foundation that blesses the heart of all those that hear you, not to mention yours. Also, loved this part; He is formed in me, is the degree of less of me. The connection between self and Christ and the percentage of one vs the other. Proves that; “Wisdom is justified by her children.” Jumping for joy in Jesus, Much love in Christ, Not me

  6. Thanks Wing-nut....I guess I should have said in the "middle of chapter 16 which is about the wrath of God being poured out" :) .... I will try and edit that part. But, most definitely we will be here and I believe we will be bold, on fire for the Lord, not scared, and definitely hated by the rest of the world!

  7. We can either sit under men gone wrong and accept sin , Or we can cling to and BELEIVE JESUS and HE gives us power and victory over sin . A way out of every temptation . IT IS available and HIS NAME IS JESUS we can either sit and believe those who wont cease from sin and sit under an idea that we are powerless against the evils of our flesh , AND DIE OR we can choose to learn JESUS , learn the doctrines well, TRUST and BELEIVE IN HIM and IN HIM we can be overcomers of all evil . Either we know this or we don't . Either we have HIS SPIRIT or we don't . All I hear is the LOVE lubby dubby song getting song . And its all headed right into that false arena . Folks wanna give up in their sin , and listen to men gone wrong then they will perish . For who , where is their trust . JESUS is able to succor us THROUGH any temptation . But if we don't believe this , THEN our faith IS NOT IN HIM its in men gone wrong who have sold a lie . Its also why we have HIS pattern for correction if any does err . Yall, you all see what JOHN wrote , well soon enough most will believe that line and they will just gather will all under a false love . ME , I HAD RATHER BE DEAD , KILLED DEAD than to believe in a false love and not know the POWER of Christ . I warned some others exactly where these mindsets are and will lead . AND I see already some going under it . PS , a hint , an unrepentant sinner , DOES NOT KNOW LOVE . LOVE IS NOT about hugs and getting along . ITS about doing all to pull any out of error of sin Its all about correction , because we who know Christ , know full well the end of sin is death . And those in willfull sin are in grave danger , lest they repent . SO lets heed paul and not these false men of belial who have sold the churches a false evangelism , a false unity , a false love , a false liberty , a false freedom . Cause paul is right . WE servants to whom we obey , WHETHER OF SIN Unto death or of obedience unto righteousness. THUS he is right , LET ALL WHO NAME the NAME of CHRIST depart from inquity . YES as he also said , Let not those things be even once named among you as becometh saints . And lets point to Christ as paul did and say , those who are Christs have crucified the affections and lusts of the flesh . FOR JESUS truly has entered into the tabernacle . And HE really did suffer in all points , AND HE REALLY CAN succor us through any temptation or trial . Either we believe this or we don't . ME , I BELIVE IT .

  8. Muhammad or Jesus: The Prophet Like Unto Moses by John McTernan "The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken." — Deuteronomy 18:15 For Islam to be a religion, Muhammad must be a prophet of God. The message of Muhammad as recorded in the Koran is the foundation of Islam. This is seen in the confession to be a Muslim. This is called the Sha-hadatain. The second part of the Shahadatain follows: "... that Muhammad is His messenger to all human beings till the Day of Judgment." By Messenger, the Koran means prophet. According to Islam, he is the final prophet or seal of the prophets: "Muhammad... [he is] the Messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets: and Allah has full knowledge of all things" (Sura 33:40). Islam teaches not only is Muhammad the seal of the prophets but he is the greatest of the prophets. He is equal to or greater than Moses. Islam believes that Muhammad is the special prophet the Bible mentions will be like Moses. This verse from the Bible follows: "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him" (Deut. 18:18). The Koran states that Muhammad is the Prophet who will be like unto Moses. Muhammad came with the final message which everyone has to obey: "Say: I am not the first of the apostles, and I do not know what will be done with me or with you: I do not follow anything but that which is revealed to me, and I am nothing but a plain warner. Say: Have you considered if it is from Allah, and you disbelieve in it, and a witness from among the children of Israel has borne witness of one like him, so he believed, while you are big with pride; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people" (Sura 46:9-10). What It Means To Be Prophet Like Unto Moses There are five outstanding characteristics that have to be met. The Bible teaches that Moses is different than all the other Old Testament prophets. To be the prophet like Moses of Deuteronomy 18, these five characteristics have to be met. These requirements follow: 1. God spoke directly to Moses. All other prophets received their revelation by visions or dreams. Moses' revelation was directly from the mouth of God. "And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?" (Num. 12:6-8). 2. Moses was in the direct presence of God. He saw the similitude or form of the LORD. Moses glowed from being in direct presence of God's glory. "And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him. And when Aaron and all the children of Israel saw Moses, behold, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come nigh him" (Exod. 34:29-30). 3. Moses brought in a blood covenant relationship with God. The other prophets built upon this covenant, but no other Old Testament prophet brought in a different covenant. "And Moses took the blood, and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD hath made with you concerning all these words. Then went up Moses, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel: And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness" (Exod. 24:8-10). 4. Moses did mighty signs and wonders. God used Moses to split the Red Sea. " And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided. And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left" (Exod. 14:21-22). 5. Moses prophesied of the future. Moses gave entire chapters of prophecy. His prophecy centered on the people and nation of Israel. "Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land. And yet for all that, when they be in the land of their enemies, I will not cast them away, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them: for I am the LORD their God. But I will for their sakes remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the heathen, that I might be their God: I am the LORD" (Lev. 26:42,44-45). 6. The prophet has to be a Jew. The Prophet like Moses will have to come from one of the tribes of Israel. The context of Deutromony 18 makes it clear that the brethren means someone from one of the 12 tribes of Israel. Deuteronomy 18:1,2,7,15 The priests the Levites, and all the tribe of Levi, shall have no part nor inheritance with Israel... 2 Therefore shall they have no inheritance among their brethren: the LORD is their inheritance, as he hath said unto them. 7 Then he shall minister in the name of the LORD his God, as all his brethren the Levites do, which stand there before the LORD. 15 The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken; The Test of Muhammad as the Prophet Like unto Moses Using the five criteria of Moses being a special prophet, let's test the Muslim's claim that Muhammad is the special prophet like Moses which the Koran claims. 1. God spoke directly with Moses. Muhammad fails because the Koran shows he received his message from an angel. "Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation" (Sura 77:5). "Say: Whoever is the enemy of Jibreel— for surely he revealed it to your heart by Allah's command, verifying that which is before it and guidance and good news for the believers" (Sura 2:97). 2. The Koran never reported that Muhammad was literally in the direct presence of God. 3. Muhammad never brought in a blood covenant with God, but his message went directly against the revealed word of God. Muhammad denied the basis for the New Testament covenant which is the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross. "And their saying: Surely we have killed the Messiah, Isa (Jesus) son of Marium, the apostle of Allah; and they did not kill him nor did they crucify him, but it appeared to them so" (Sura 4:157). 4. The Koran reports no signs and wonders of Muhammad. 5. Muhammad made no prophecies in the Koran. The Muslims call Sura 30 the Great Prophecy: This Sura is often used as proof Muhammad was a prophet. "The Romans are vanquished, In a near land, and they, after being vanquished, shall overcome, Within a few years. Allah's is the command before and after; and on that day the believers shall rejoice" (Sura 30:2-4). Sura 30 is not a valid prophecy: The Romans, who were the Byzantines, were always at war. A near land is not identified. The location to judge the near land is not identified in the Koran. Is it Jerusalem, Mecca, or Medina etc.? What is a few years? No date is give for this prophecy so within a few years can be identified. The fulfillment is not recorded in the Koran. It is impossible to verify that Sura 30:2-4 is a valid prophecy. 6. Muhammad was not a Jew. This just by itself eliminates Muhammad from being the Prophet of Deuteronomy 18:18. Muhammad fails the test of prophet in general and specifically he is not the prophet like unto Moses. Therefore his message as written in the Koran is to be totally rejected. He cannot be classified as a prophet because he made no prophecy which could be tested. The Muslim's claim that Muhammad is the seal of the prophets has no authority as there is no proof in the Koran that Muhammad was a true prophet of God. The Lord Jesus Meets the Criteria To Be the Prophet Like Unto Moses The Bible says that the Lord Jesus is the Prophet like unto Moses. "And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: . . . For Moses truly said unto the fathers, A prophet shall the Lord your God raise up unto you of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things whatsoever he shall say unto you. And it shall come to pass, that every soul, which will not hear that prophet, shall be destroyed from among the people (Acts 3:20,22-23). 1. God spoke directly to Moses. God spoke directly through the Lord Jesus. "Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works" (John 14:10). 2. Moses was in the direct presence of God and glowed from God's presence. Jesus was the direct presence of God, and He manifested the glory of God! "And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light" (Matt. 17:1-2). 3. Moses brought in a blood covenant relationship with God. The Lord Jesus brought in a better blood covenant with God. The better covenant gives the assurance of eternal life to all that believe. "For this is my blood of the new testament [covenant], which is shed for many for the remission of sins" (Matt. 26:28). "But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises" (Heb. 8:6). 4. Moses did mighty signs and wonders. Jesus did mighty signs and wonders. The Lord Jesus raised a man from the dead after he was four days in the grave. The Bible reported only a few of the awesome miracles that the Lord Jesus did. These miracles were a sign of Him being the Son of God. "Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days. ... And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that was dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes: and his face was bound about with a napkin. Jesus saith unto them, Loose him, and let him go" (John 11:39,43-44). 5. Moses prophesied of the future, as did Jesus. Like Moses, the Lord Jesus focused His prophecy on the Jews and their dispersion and restoration. The restoration of Israel and Jerusalem would occur just before His second coming. Just as the Lord prophesied, exactly happened to the Jews. Israel is once again a nation with Jerusalem as its capital. "And they asked him, saying, Master, but when shall these things be? and what sign will there be when these things shall come to pass? . . . But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land [Israel], and wrath upon this people [Jews]. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled" (Luke 21:7,23-24). 6. Moses was a Jew and the Lord Jesus was a Jew. Matthew 1:1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham. The Lord Jesus qualifies to be the Prophet because He is the Son of David from the tribe of Judah. The Lord Jesus not only met the requirements of being the Prophet like unto Moses, but he exceeded them in all points. Moses was the servant of God, but the Lord Jesus was the Son of God; therefore, He was greater than Moses. "[Christ] Who was faithful to him that appointed him, as also Moses was faithful in all his house. For this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. . . . And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; But Christ as a son over his own house ..." (Heb. 3:2-3,5-6). The Bible shows that the Lord Jesus is greater than Moses as He is the Son of God. God sent His Son into the world to die for our sin. Because of the death of the Lord Jesus on the cross, you can be forgiven of all sin and have assurance of eternal life with God. When you trust the Lord Jesus as your Savior, God makes an eternal blood covenant with you. Please repent of sin and trust the Lord Jesus as your Savior. Eternal life is only through faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. He is the Prophet like unto Moses and those that do not listen to His message, God will require it of them. "If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son. He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life" (1 John 5:9-12).

  9. Hello everyone, I went along and believed in the Pre-Trib rapture because I just went along with what the preachers said. I was guilty of not studying the Word and asking the Lord for His wisdom. Well, a few years ago, I heard someone on youtube talk about the post-trib rapture. So of course I had to do some investigating and the Scriptures that she gave were Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21. I also asked the Holy Spirit, to show me truth. One night I just could not sleep so I went into a room and opened the Scriptures. I was studying all night and the Lord showed me that we were going to be here. We needed to go through the tribulation and that it would purify His Church, the Bride of Christ. I believe we will be here to the end. There are many verses that exhort , "He who endures to the end". I believe a little differently than most Post-Tribbers. I believe that we will actually be here while the plagues and bowls of God's wrath are being poured out. But we will be supernaturally protected while the plagues and wrath are being poured out, we will be raptured, while the wicked are facing judgment. Everything, the rapture, the judgment of the wicked will be happening simultaneously….So bear with me, while I present my case. Matthew 13:37-43 King James Version (KJV) 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of Man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the Kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. 40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. 41 The Son of Man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of His Kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; 42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. 43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear. Matthew 24:31 King James Version (KJV) 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds(should say from the four corners of the earth…mandela effect), from one end of heaven to the other. Revelation 14:15-20 King James Version (KJV) 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 King James Version (KJV) 5 But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. 2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. So we are told that we will the know the times and the seasons but not the day or the hour. We are told that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night BUT YE, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, THAT THAT DAY SHOULD OVERTAKE YOU AS A THIEF. We who are awake and sober, will be ready. Revelation 15 is about the Seven Plagues Revelation 16 is the Vials of God's Wrath being poured out….. Revelation 16:1-16 King James Version (KJV) Vials of God's Wrath being poured out….. 16 And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth. 2 And the first went, and poured out his vial upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and upon them which worshipped his image. 3 And the second angel poured out his vial upon the sea; and it became as the blood of a dead man: and every living soul died in the sea. 4 And the third angel poured out his vial upon the rivers and fountains of waters; and they became blood. 5 And I heard the angel of the waters say, Thou art righteous, O Lord, which art, and wast, and shalt be, because thou hast judged thus. 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy. 7 And I heard another out of the altar say, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are thy judgments. 8 And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. 9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 10 And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, 11 And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 12 And the sixth angel poured out his vial upon the great river Euphrates; and the water thereof was dried up, that the way of the kings of the east might be prepared. 13 And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. 14 For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty. 15 Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. 16 And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. Right in the middle of the vials of wrath being poured out of this chapter, Jesus comes like a thief!!! But we will be supernaturally protected like the Israelites in Goshen during the plagues in Egypt. Or Like Noah and his family on the ark. Revelation 6:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine. The Holy Spirit is the oil and the wine. We have the Holy Spirit as believers in Christ Jesus. The Holy Spirit was not taken out of the way by leaving, He merely stepped aside to let the ac come into power, to allow God's Will to be done. He is still present because God said do not hurt the oil and the wine, aka Holy Spirit. (I will provide that Matthew 25-The Parable of the 10 Virgins as a reference of the oil being the Holy Spirit) Revelation 16:15 is a good indicator that Jesus is coming to get us at the very end. We will be caught up in the twinkling of the eye while judgment is being poured out on the wicked. I have more…but this will have to do for now…. I welcome your thoughts! But I just have one thing more to say. I still love all my brothers and sisters in Christ who believe in the Pre-Trib Rapture. If Christ does come to get us before, then HALLELUJAH!!! PRAISE GOD!!! BUT IF NOT, WE SHOULD ALWAYS BE PREPARED FOR THE WORST. SO THAT WE WILL BE A TESTIMONY UNTO JESUS!

  10. Have you ever been so busy desiring to do for others (admirable and honorable in its proper place) that its undertaking has often inadvertently reduced your time of fellowship with them, which detracts from keeping up with knowing them? We all continue to change in our lives concerning what we evaluate things to be, e.g. something we determine as important now may not be as such latter, or maybe even become more important, thus requiring us to keep up with one another as to what our desires are. Of course God never changes, but the depth of knowing Him more— which is only through His Word—will ever continue, and the more He teaches us to know Him, the greater will be our success in “being about” His “business” (Luk 2:49). Continuing to read God’s Word and asking Him for more understanding of it initiates and perpetuates “drawing close to God” (Jam 4:8) more than all other things, and the closer we get to know Him, the greater we get to serve Him. The object is to put wanting to know Him better (Word-time) before wanting to serve Him more. FYI: I’ve learned that that continuing to read and re-read the Scriptures, God causes increased spiritual growth. The majority of the spiritual growth truths lie within the Pauline Epistles, and I’ve found that just returning to where you left off well aids a persistent and life-long reading in the Scriptures. NC Know To Grow “That I may know Him” (Phl 3:10). It is of the greatest importance for the Lord’s own to recognize fully that, above all other things, His object is that they should know Him. This is the all-governing end of all His dealings with us. This is the greatest of all our needs. It is the secret of strength, steadfastness and fruitful service. The primary objective of the Father’s dealings with us is that we may know His Son. This explains all our trials, sufferings, perplexities, weaknesses, predicaments, bafflings and pressures. While the refining of the spirit, the development of the graces, the removal of dross are all purposes of the fires, yet above and through all is the one object—that we may know the Lord. Our minds are so often occupied with service and work; we think that doing things for the Lord is the chief object of life. We are concerned about our life-work, our ministry. We think of equipment for it in terms of study and knowledge of things. Soul-winning, or teaching believers, or setting people to work for the Lord, are so much in the foreground. Bible study and knowledge of the Scriptures for efficiency in the matter of leading in Christian service as being the end in view are matters of pressing importance with all, and this is all well and good, for these are important matters (in their proper order); but back of everything the Lord is more concerned first about our knowing Him than about everything else. It is very possible to have a wonderful grasp of the Scriptures, a comprehensive and intimate familiarity with doctrine; to stand for cardinal verities of the faith; to be an unceasing worker in Christian service; to have a great devotion to the salvation of others, and yet, alas, have a very inadequate and limited personal knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself (all of which is best after entering a sufficient knowledge of Him—NC). So often He has to take away (halt—NC) our work that we may discover Him more. This is the one thing that will remain when all else passes. It is this that will make for the permanence of our ministry after we have been taken Home. While we may help others in many ways and by many means so far as their earthly life is concerned, our real service to them is based upon our knowledge of the Lord Jesus (our knowledge is directly related to our fellowship, where we can be in union with Him but not necessarily in fellowship, even though we may be occupied with service—NC). We want instructions and commands; the Lord intends for us to have a “mind.” “Have this mind in you” (Phl 2:5); “we have the mind of Christ” (1Co 2:16). The inspired statement is that “His anointing teaches you concerning all things” (1Jhn 2:7). We are not servants, we are sons (Gal 4:7). There is an appalling state of things among the Lord’s people today. So many of them have their life almost entirely in that which is external to themselves. Personal, inward spiritual intelligence is a very rare thing. To know the Lord in a personal way means steadfastness when others are being carried away—steadfastness through times of fiery trial. Those who really know Him do not put forth their own hand to try to bring things about. Patient confidence is an essential and inevitable fruit of this knowledge, and in those who know Him there is a quiet restful strength which speaks of a great depth of life. In the Lord Jesus Christ “are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden” (Col 2:3), and the Father’s will for us is to come to an ever-growing realization and personal appreciation of Him in “Whom all fullness dwells” (Col 1:19). - T A S Excerpt from MJS devotional for December 27: “Let no one imagine that he can be effectively used in the Lord’s service, or even make progress in the Christian life, without some measure of real entrance into the valuable principle: ‘When I am weak, then am I strong’ (2 Cor. 12:10). It is absolutely essential in forming the character of the true servant of the Lord Jesus. Where it is not known and felt, there is sure to be unsubduedness, unbrokenness, and self-occupation in some form or other. On the other hand, where one has been brought into this principle, there will always be a measure of brokenness, softness, and tenderness of spirit; and not only so, but also largeness of heart, and that lovely tendency to rise above those petty, selfish considerations, which so sadly hinder the work of God.” – C H M http://www.abideabove.com/hungry-heart/

  12. I think it helps to remember that all Scripture is God breathed, that it was the Word speaking the Father's thoughts, we also need to remember that not only is God living in glory, He IS Glory, ...since He is Perfect, without any imperfection, without sin, He doesn't think the way we do, His thoughts are not like our thoughts, what is vulgar to us in our particular society is not vulgar, so to speak, to Him. This minuscule time-space continuum we live in, compared to Eternity, is for Him, not a problem, way back, farther than our minds can imagine, when it was just God the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, He knew what that there would be a problem and He already had a solution planed for the problem and He knew those (us) that would come out of the problem clean, sanctified, just, righteous and would be fit, prepared to live with Him in Glory. So, for me, I believe He used this word and other descriptive words in His Word, that we consider vulgar to remind us while we are here that the thrice Holy God, the One who is Glory manifested in Flesh, stooped down into the cess pool we all are/were living in to call us to Himself... The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. Ps 51:17

  13. Hi all, Personally I do not think it is intended to mean males or males only. It may reference those that do not hold out for propriety or those that cannot or will not restrain themselves or bear discomfort, instead taking easiest relief in matters of personal concern. God sorts in rather graphic fashion in many instances winnowing down the troops so to speak, so that when victory is at hand it is known that it can only be of God's will and pleasure and not by the works and will of man. On a personal note; one long long long time ago many were lined up at the latrine at a Boy Scout jamboree. Too many to accommodate the need of the flesh to relieve in time. So many stepped out of line, one after another, until there was a majority marking against the cabin wall so to speak. That didn't go too well with the scout leaders when the cabin wall smelled of urine come morning, and all had to then carry water and scrub the exterior cabin wall. Consequence and punishment and a need was shared by all for the short cutting of others.

  14. God's love is not like our humanistic man-centred ideas about love....His ways are higher than our ways. We just need to believe what He says in His word....and if we need help to understand, then we can seek and ask Him for it because He will give it freely without upbraiding.

  15. Do you not know that when we are born again we are translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light? Our life is changed and we realize that we are no longer walking in our old ways of sin. Faith to believe is a gift....and likewise repentance is a gift not of ourselves as well. God gives it to those who are willing.......and doesn't give it to those who harden their hearts and reject Jesus and His message.

  16. I think you are right on brother....as a nation they needed to repent of those national sins and receive the Messiah in order to avoid the 70 AD destruction and diaspora. But also as individuals each one needed to repent in order to avoid facing the wrath of God and lake of fire in the end. God said that though the Israelites be as numerous as the sands of the sea, only a remnant would be saved....that is the sad and tragic truth that has echoed down through the ages.

  17. How can any believer in Christ argue against repentance, bro.....it's all over the bible and foundational to the gospel itself. Heb 6:1 Therefore, leaving the discussion of the elementary principles of Christ, let us go on to perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God Act 17:30-31 “Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, “because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” Now you asked why I or anyone still sins. When I came to faith in Christ my life changed. I no longer walked in my former way of life, a life of sin.....in my case that was chiefly fornication and lying whenever it was convenient, also swearing, and addiction to nicotine. When I was born again I stopped doing those things, I turned away from them. Does that mean I never commit a sin of any kind? No....because I have faults and shortcomings....after laying the foundation of repentance from sin, I am now going on to perfection as the scripture says....the Lord is dealing with my other lesser issues one by one. Like where it says in Song of Solomon to catch the little foxes that ruin the vineyard. I've got on the wedding garment having repented and received Jesus, but now am ironing out the wrinkles that remain in it, so to speak. In 1 John 3 where he writes about no one abiding in the Lord can sin.....it's because if we sin we are not abiding in the Lord at that moment...not walking in the Spirit. We have stumbled at that point. And whoever is born of God doth not commit sin...I'm not a scholar by any means but I understand that in the Greek this is in the present continuous active tense...meaning who is born of God no longer continuously actively lives a life of sin. So it is possible for a born again believer to stumble in different ways now and then....and if they do they will feel convicted by the Holy Spirit and need to.......repent.....in order to be restored to fellowship with the Lord: 1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. and 1Co 11:31-32 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world. We must understand this brother......Love does not contradict or nullify the need to turn from one's sins....how can it? Is it love to go on stealing from others? Is it love to cheat on one's spouse? Is it love to commit violence against others? Is it love to abuse oneself with drugs and alcohol and nicotine? Is it love to lie to people? Is it love to blow your top and say nasty things to someone? Is it love for a homosexual to abuse a man's body? Is it love to go on being selfish and withhold sharing of your worldly goods with someone in need? Does the love of Christ want any to perish in their sins and face the judgment? ETC. So why would anyone think that love and turning from sin are opposed to one another?

  18. Well then the Lord must of showed you something that is not in the Scriptures or else you misinterpreted the Scriptures. The number ONE mistake you and all post-tribbers make is you do not understand the different Harvests. Jesus came only for the Jews as per his ministry, so he's speaking to the Jews in most cases overall, sometimes to the Jewish Disciples only (who are a part of the church because God only blinded Israel IN PART), but mostly to the Jews in total. Of course the Jews are the Wheat who will stay on earth with the Tares till the end, thus they flee Judea to Petra. The Church does not stay on earth, we are Raptured to Heaven, we are seen in Heaven before the Seals are opened in Rev. 4:4, Rev. 5:9 and just after the Seals are opened in Revelation 7:9-17, and thus we return with Jesus in Rev. ch. 19. The Jewish Bride and Groom stay in the Wedding Chambers 7 days (7 years). The room is built in the Father's house (Heaven). I go to prepare a place for you (Church) and if I go I will return again. You guys conflate the Church and Israel. Not understanding they are DIFFERENT ENTITIES leads to that conflation, just like I pointed out about the Wheat and the Tares. ALREADY ABOVE: Israel remain on earth with the Wicked until the end.......the Church does not !! We are gathered from Heaven, don't change the Scriptures there now......................................because we are in Heaven just like Rev. 4:4, 5:9, 7:9-17 and Rev. ch. 19 says. Leaving off a part of the Scriptures are not going to change what they mean............ Rev. 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. So it's actually Jesus who thrusts in the sickle from upon THE CLOUDS (Rapture) and the Angel announces it. This is the Rapture of the Church. Whereas verses 18-20 is Armageddon, the Harvest of the Wicked. Rev. 14:1 is the 144,000 or the Jews hiding in Petra who show up on Mt. Zion with Jesus. So that is at the END TIMES (Wheat) as is Armageddon (Tares) but the Church is called up to be with Jesus, that is why it shows Jesus on the clouds when he Harvests us the Church !! The Angel thrusts in the sickel when the Wicked Tares are Reaped (Armageddon). So its different Harvests, Jesus thrusts in the SICKLE to reap the Church and an Angel thrusts in the SICKLE to reap the Wicked Tares. Meaning we will not be on earth for the Day of the Lord, just like 2 Thess. 2 says, we will DEPART before the DOTL. THEY will be overcome by the DOTL, not us. It actually says of the times and seasons, you have no need for me to explain these things unto you...........meaning you know that we do not go through the Wrath of God, but THEY DO, when they say Peace & Safety then destruction will fall upon them. And we are gone before the 70th week starts, which means before the first seal is opened. Which means he comes quickly, speedily. The Church is in Heaven and Returns with Jesus just like Rev. 19. says. What you guys/ladies do is ignore every scripture that says otherwise, and just drive straight ahead oblivious to the facts that disprove your theories. I mean Rev. 19 can't even happen without a Rapture. Revelation in general seems to confuse the masses.

  19. No, you understood me correctly. I do not believe we will be here for that final hour, as the gathering takes place at His coming like a thief. I agree with you, but not on the timing. What I mean is, honestly, there won't be many Christians still alive by the time we reach this point, and those that are will most likely be imprisoned. Revelation 13:5 And the beast was given a mouth uttering haughty and blasphemous words, and it was allowed to exercise authority for forty-two months. 6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven. 7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation, 8 and all who dwell on earth will worship it, everyone whose name has not been written before the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who was slain. 9 If anyone has an ear, let him hear: 10 If anyone is to be taken captive, to captivity he goes; if anyone is to be slain with the sword, with the sword must he be slain. Here is a call for the endurance and faith of the saints. What we have is a 42 month period in which war is waged on the saints, an extermination if you will. Some slain by the sword, some taken captive and most of that group probably executed. Our purification is based on our faith in Christ, much like the persecution the early church faced. We are made white by Him, and Him alone, and our witness will be displayed in how we meet our end, only by the power of the Holy Spirit. Remember the call in scripture, do not love your lives. Now during this same period of time, the faithful remnant of Israel is being protected in the wilderness. Hosea gives a pretty good account of what is taking place with them, and also Isaiah. Revelation also speaks of the two groups and the different manner in which they experience the end times. Revelation 12:13 And when the dragon saw that he had been thrown down to the earth, he pursued the woman who had given birth to the male child. 14 But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time. 15 The serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, to sweep her away with a flood. 16 But the earth came to the help of the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed the river that the dragon had poured from his mouth. 17 Then the dragon became furious with the woman and went off to make war on the rest of her offspring, on those who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. And he stood on the sand of the sea.

  20. I was also a pre-tribber for most of my life, probably for the same reasons, but roughly seven years ago I began to see things quite differently in scripture. I agree with what you see for the most part, in particular regarding Revelation 16 and the announcement that He comes as a thief. This is when the gathering takes place, but one slight variance is that you stated this happens in the middle of the wrath, whereas the scripture you cited occurs near the end, after the sixth bowl/vial. I see what takes place after this as the final hour, which is spoken of frequently. For example, Jesus tells us in the gospel accounts that no one knows the day, or hour. There are also several other places on the subject that speak of a very specific hour, such as Revelation 18, and this one, which is often used to support pre-trib, but actually speaks against it when taking all the information into account. Revelation 3:10 Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world, to try those who dwell on the earth. Another area of interest is in regards to the harvest. Revelation 14:14 Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, “Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe.”16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, “Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe.” 19 So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia. So we see in the harvest of the earth, the wheat is gathered, followed right after by the tares, which coincides with the information regarding the battle of Armageddon. You may have already concluded this as well, other than the specific hour. Besides this slight difference, we are of the same opinion. Not quite post-trib for me, but only an hour separation. God bless

  21. Hi George, I'm not saying that your statistics are wrong, but I'm not sure I agree with three in ten South Koreans are Christian.... I am Korean. I came to the US when I was 4 ....but I still have many relatives living there. My parents had many sibling and almost all of them are NOT Christian. I watch a lot of the culture stuff that comes out of S. Korea and it seems that they are sadly following after the post -Christian lifestyles and thinking like the US. I also was disillusioned about the Koreans who called themselves Christian because they were so materialistic and fake in their walk. I saw that in my own church when I was growing up. The Korean churches here in the US would set up elders as a prestige and they were not godly people! I don't know a whole lot of the churches in Korea but the culture and thinking there is more Westernized. There are many who live in sin now, abortions, lots of adultery. Before, if one committed adultery there, you could get arrested. Not anymore.... so I hope that I am wrong and those statistics are correct.

The rule i use is to disregard such a claim and focus in on the message that is being given and compare that message which what God has revealed in the Holy Bible.. What i have experienced is that a person can constantly use the ""God told me" technique to boost their authority and then offer some Biblical sound messages.. But sooner or later they will give a message that runs counter to the Holy Scriptures and that's when i know their ""God told me"" statements are a load of..... Hog wash..

  26. I think you might be talking about something I said earlier, but you took it way out of context, here- this is what I meant when I posted what I posted in here: sin is sin is sin. Period. But if someone thinks that it is a sin to go to church on Sunday as opposed to Saturday, for that person, it is a sin- because their 'tender conscience' tells them it is. This does not mean that it is a sin for everyone, because I'm sure God can be praised on Sunday, Saturday, and any other day of the week - but to the man or woman who believes it to be a sin, it is sin, for them. This has nothing to do with actual sinful behavior such as you mentioned. I never said anything about this justifying true, sinful behavior such as you stated. Freedom in forgiveness doesn't mean freedom to sin. It means that we are free of the condemnation that awaited us before we turned to Jesus, admitted our sins and sinful nature, and accepted the free gift of salvation that He offered. It means we have a Mediator, Jesus, to go before the Father- and because He became sin for us, and took God's wrath in our place, and because of our acceptance, this is truly all we need. God leads us in the directions He wants us to go, if we walk with Him and want to follow. Romans 8: 1-5 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. and 26-30: In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God. And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

  29. Yes my loved sister . Now compare what JOHN His message was about repentance to make ready the hearts for Christ . For we have a dangerous dark spirit at work today . OH it imitates the spirit of Elijah for it too preaches good works should be done but instead of repentance it preaches ACCEPTANCE , all inclusive unity to prepare the people for the coming man of SIN . And this spirit and spirits are all over mainstream churches . OH DEAR its all over them and grows only worse . LET all who name the name of JESUS purge himself from these and depart from inquity , touch not the unclean thing . partake not of her sins , lest ye receive the plagues GOD will give her on HIS DAY . The end is drawing closer and as it does , inquity has shot full bloom in the world and worse in churches too . And on this path that the world , churches , secular and other relgions are on , in this unity they will find themselves in all out worhip of the beast who is to rise . FLEE YE INTO THE WILDERNESS my brethren of the LORD , for we have a tabernacle not built of men , BUT OF THE TRUE and OUR LORD at the right Hand of the Father does make intercession for us and is able to succor us through any temptation , that we overcome it IN and BY the POWER of OUR LORD . COME YE OUT from among the men whose tongues are as serpents and words are as the gall of bitterness and posion of asps . Who lie in deceit and are ever ready to pounce on any that is caught in the web they have spun . COME YE OUT from among them , BE YE HOLY and wait upon the LORD . For our betrayal draws ever nigh . Let no man , woman or child remain in the tabernacles of death , sin and perdtion who gather now under the main tabernacle who has a whores forehead . FLEE now , before it is too late my friends , for her web is catching many unwares , the double minded and unstable she is catching . And be prepared in and BY CHRIST . FOR A Death scourge will come full force against the true remnant , the true lambs who sat UNDER CHRIST and not contrary men . BUT FEAR not what is coming . Though many briars and thorns shall come against the lambs and though the head of all evil they will do his bidding and many of us shall be killed . And though those of the green TREE, CHRIST , shall suffer serious persecution and death . IF this is allowed to come against us , And judgment begins at the House of GOD , then what do we suppose will happen to the dry tree and those of it WHEN ONCE THE LORD ARISES as a man out of sleep , whose judgment those of the dry tree have made void and said would never come against them . OH but it will, and I dare say , No man woman , child , no nothing wants to be in the shoes of those who trod JESUS under foot for world peace and unity. They shall wish for death and it will even flee them . FOR GOD will not be mocked . AND THE SON HE DID SEND will not be mocked for world peace and unity , AND by all who did so , PREPARE TO MEET THY GOD and on that day YOUR IDOLS WILL NOT SAVE YOU. FOR YE have DENEIED THE ONLY ONE WHO COULD have saved you and for what ............UNITIIY and world peace , sang by men who can save none no not even themselves .

  30. But you sin, how about those who are Christians who smoke, they don't resist every smoke they have, they can't. Matthew chapter 21 32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness, and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors and the prostitutes did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent and believe him. Luke chapter 3 7 John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers! Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath? 8 Produce fruit in keeping with repentance. And do not begin to say to yourselves, ‘We have Abraham as our father.’ For I tell you that out of these stones God can raise up children for Abraham. 9 The ax is already at the root of the trees, and every tree that does not produce good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire.” 10 “What should we do then?” the crowd asked. 11 John answered, “Anyone who has two shirts should share with the one who has none, and anyone who has food should do the same.” . What "coming wrath" was John the Baptist referring to.? I believe he was referring to the coming destruction of the Jewish nation and the Holy Temple of Jerusalem by the Roman Army in 70AD, as prophesied by Jesus Christ at LUKE.21:20 and MATTHEW.24:15-16. What repentance was the Jews and Pharisees in need of.? I believe the repentance was related to the sins/evil-deeds/Law-breaking that had caused them to lose their Jewish kingdom/nation(founded in 1500BC by Moses) to foreign rulers beginning in 800BC, eg idolatry, sexual immorality, injustice, murders(of the prophets of God), etc.

  34. I agree with you about the receiving the mark is worshiping evil. But the reason I brought up with you and the rejecting of Jesus. Blasphemy of the Holy Ghost is the unforgivable sin but rejecting Jesus also leads to the same. As that kind of is my point, as the mark also the seems to be the in that same category with rejecting the Lord. A verse that indicates this is these two. Revelation 13:8And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Revelation 20:15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. This seems to be why the Good Lord stated rejoice if you names are written in heaven. If your name is not found in this book you are sent to the lake of fire. As this verse indicates that the people who worship the beast are not found in the book of life.

As I believe the blasphemy of the Holy Ghost or the rejecting of Jesus lead to the same destination in the end but the details in the differences of these two seem to be established in scriptures as well. The Mark as well is different without it you cannot buy or sell but getting it leads to damnation forever.

  37. Hi Pollycy, I am doing an in depth study on Mathew right now. This is what I have studied from the verses you are concerned with. Mathew 7:21-23 Not only are there false prophets, but there is false profession on the part of some who claim to follow Jesus. The ultimate test is whether they are obedient to the Father and characteristically do His will. "A man who speaks the truth but acts the lie is also in a sense a false prophet. Let this person therefore examine not only his neighbor but also himself". This principle does not mean that salvation in the kingdom is secured by works, but it does teach that works are fruits, or evidences, which are found in a true disciple. Jesus' words can be summarized this way. "This means that the listener to the gospel must not count on a mere belief in Christ's person on the one hand, or the performance of great works in his name on the other hand as proof of his salvation. These things will not save him. Rather, he must assure himself of his relation to Jesus Christ personally".

While they were listening to this, he went on to tell them a parable, because he was near Jerusalem and the people thought that the kingdom of God was going to appear at once. 12 He said: “A man of noble birth went to a distant country to have himself appointed king and then to return. 13 So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten minas.[a] ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.’ 14 “But his subjects hated him and sent a delegation after him to say, ‘We don’t want this man to be our king.’ 15 “He was made king, however, and returned home. 40. In My Father's House are Many Rooms 1Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe in Me as well. 2In My Father’shouse are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and welcome you into My presence, so that you also may be where I am.…John 14:2

  42. 1 Chronicles 16:23-31 23 Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day. 24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous deeds among all peoples. 25 For great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; he is to be feared above all gods. 26 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but the LORD made the heavens. 27 Splendor and majesty are before him; strength and joy are in his dwelling place. 28 Ascribe to the LORD, all you families of nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength. 29 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness. 30Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. 31 Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “The LORD reigns!”

  43. The answer from the bible/ is clear, they will not repent. Revelation Chapter 16 9And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory. 11And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds. 21And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

  44. The paragraph before this tells us that people who's name is written in the book of life will not worship the beast..... Jesus also tells us that no one can snatch us from the Father's hand and if the scripture that you quote was referring to born again people then it would be snatching us from the hand of the Father...… So I have to disagree with you in that a born again person can be deceived into taking the mark or worshiping the beast....
