  1. Listen ... I believe there's a great misconception going on. First, there is a repentance unto salvation ... whereby one turns toward God for salvation. Do you remember the day you got saved ... for me, it was a unforgettable day. Now, if you want to live in a consistent state of revival ... you'll live in a lifestyle of repentance ... not for salvation, but rather to stay in a place of refreshing, joy, and love. There is a difference.

  2. Actually that was just the beginning. You see when you see the restoration of ALL things ... we're actually reverting back to Genesis when God said it was good. But I realize that you are going to view each and every point by spiritualizing Scripture. So let's go to reality that is observable to you? Is Satan bound right now? Or is he running about like a lion seeking whom he may devour? God bless George

  3. I can't speak to anything on a personal level, but I would like to echo what others have said to you. There is nothing wrong with taking medication when needed, the advances in medicine have all come about by God's will. Nothing that exists, exists outside of His purposes. I would also add that Luke was a physician himself, and I don't see anywhere in scripture where he stopped being a physician because he believed in our Lord. God bless

  4. Mat 24:3 Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" Three questions are asked here with three different answers: When will this happen? (the destruction of the the Temple) What will be the sign of Your Coming? Whit will be the sign of the end of the age? We know when the Temple was destroyed. But neither the signs of His coming nor of the end of the age have been fulfilled in their entirety.

  5. I can vouch for the truth of this. It may not be the exact same circumstances but in my own life I've experienced God's freeing Power from mental illness despite being told by medical professionals that the answer was in medication. The world can only attempt to treat and cure and stabilise us and the troubles inside ourselves with the worlds mean - medication, breathing techniques, minfulness, etc. But we serve a God who is not conformed to this world. Of course God created doctors and medicine for us to use for our physical ailments. But when I read the Gospels I see that every case of insanity or what we would call mental illness etc, was demon possession or demon oppression, and Jesus and the disciples dealt with it by addressing the root cause - demon powers. I therefore truly believe that the majority of mental illness in the world today is a result of either demonic possession or demonic oppression (as children of God we cannot be possessed, but we can be demonically oppressed from the outside). I have found freedom from deep depression through filling my mind with the word of God, proclaiming His word, and verbally binding the enemy in Jesus' name. Not only that, but 10 years ago I experienced a trauma in my life, and from that day forward I was plagued by a spirit of fear which manifest in certain situations. I was told by the professionals that this is normal when you experience trauma, and that while I could try to manage it with breathing techniques and the likes, I would just have to learn to live with it. But do you know what? Four long years later I surrendered my life to Jesus and soon after He delivered me from that spirit of fear in one MOMENT! This was an immediate deliverance for me, and of course not everything will happen immediately. We must learn to use the authority God has given us through Jesus Christ to combat the spirit of fear and anxiety which are NOT from God but from Satan, and to use His very word to renew our minds and conform them to God's truth, and refuse to allow the devil to make us feel like there is no way out of our present circumstances. We must fight the fight of faith in all areas of our lives, depression and anxiety included. I want to encourage anyone here experiencing what the world calls mental illness that you do indeed have a sound mind in Christ and it's devil who wants you to believe otherwise and we must combat that liar with the Word of God and apply His word to our lives and we will see freedom, praise the Lord.

  7. And actually Israel was the ensample (similitude/living parable) to the church and we are seeing playing out before our eyes this prophecy being fulfilled concerning His new covenant temple, the church....in her falling away. It's why He has called His sheep to come out of it and go to Him outside the camp so as to not be caught up in her destruction....the strong delusion: Rev 18:4-5 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues. For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities. Living stones of the church are falling as we speak. That prophecy of Jesus you are talking about had it's fulfillment in the natural realm, so to speak, with the destruction of the physical Temple in 70 AD and taking place now is the spiritual destruction of the spiritual temple, so to speak.....aka the apostasy. It is God's judgment on a church that has turned its back on the truth and become just as idolatrous (worldly) as ancient Israel. We are getting so near to the end. 2Th 2:1-4 Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

  8. The apostles and early believers had already entered the new covenant, and still were awaiting a new heavens and new earth, which obviously hadn't/hasn't happened yet. I tried to show on your other thread why the Law is considered to be fading away/disappearing....simply because it is still being kept by some.... believing Jews whose conscience is not yet free to discard it, since whatsoever is not of faith is sin (and actually unbelieving Jews who keep the Law as well, of course). Yes we are citizens already of the new heavens and new earth.....but as scripture says we do not yet see everything put under His feet, His dominion is not yet fully manifested.....but we are still looking forward to that day, when also we will see the redemption of our physical bodies, which obviously also hasn't happened yet. 2Pe 3:2-13 That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour: Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation. For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water: Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished: But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness, Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat? Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.

Jesus really does connect those that are of the same mind, heart and soul. I felt led to share this. In peace

And the LORD said unto him, "What is that in thine hand?" And he said, "A rod." And he said, "Cast it on the ground." And he cast it on the ground, and it became a serpent; and Moses fled from before it. And the LORD said unto Moses, "Put forth thine hand, and take it by the tail." And he put forth his hand, and caught it, and it became a rod in his hand: .. "That they may believe that the LORD God of their fathers, .... the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, ...... hath appeared unto thee."' (Exodus 4:1-5) Praise God!

  15. Whether what you said is accepted is really moot. I'm grateful to the Lord that someone gave you that Bible that you have been transformed by the LORD. I do not agree with you that medications for mental illnesses are witchcraft. I, myself, have been on Prozac and it helped me tremendously. Also, when Paul speaks to Timothy of a sound mind, he isn't talking about sanity. He is talking about self-discipline and control. It's a Greek word, σωφρονισμός (sō-fro-nē-smo's) and it means an admonishing to a sound mind in terms of moderation and self-control. Paul wants Timothy to be bold in his preaching - not having a spirit of fear. He also inserts being self-disciplined. "Soundness" of mind comes from a self-controlled nature in being a true Christian. It isn't speaking of insanity or mental instability. Paul wouldn't be speaking to Timothy about that. I see a lot of people who don't believe in meds for people with mental illnesses who use that passage. I wish they would understand the meaning of the word. God has worked in you without meds. I pray he keeps a good work in you. He has worked in me and many others with meds.

And be on guard in these days , for we must always remember the flesh profits nothing . YE must be born again . All else is sinking sand . YOU ARE loved my sister . Let no man point to Rome , let no man point to a gentile, let no man point to a jew . POINT ONLY TO CHRIST and let all the people praise His name . And you know what the beauty of it all is , by grace for years I have sang this song , and the sounding of it never gets weary , IT ONLY INCREASES the joy and the hope and the peace . HE whose mind is stayed upon the LORD shall have great peace . For no matter what comes against them , no drought , no east wind , no scorching sun , shall dry that plant . FOR it is planted by the LORD and HE supplies its root to leaf with all the life giving water it needs to not only maintain in the harshest drought but keep increasing and bearing fruit . OH Their is no joy like the JOY of the LORD and let all joy in the salvation of OUR LORD .

  17. I'm afraid this isn't going to be very well accepted, but please consider this in prayer and the Word. Just to let you know we are on the same page, I've been crazy, not the political correct "mentally ill, but totally crazy, couldn't walk and chew gum at the same time, when out in public I imagined I saw people trying to kill me, talking to myself 24/7, couldn't sleep, didn't bathe, didn't eat, my mind spinning at 100 trillion miles per second, ...diagnosed schizophrenic, paranoid, depressive. County Mental Health was going to lock me up, they considered me to be a danger to myself and others, but God...., now I know it was God intervening in my life before I was even born again, ...for some strange reason they made me an out patient on the condition I took their drugs, the very first time I took their drugs I started to get high, the time-space dimension shifted, the door was open and I was looking through into another dimension, the dimension where the demons live, ...just like when I took LSD, that was the first and the last time I took them! A friend gave me his Bible with the Words of Jesus in red, I found when reading His Words a peace settled over me, my mind stopped spinning and I could sleep, it took 18 months to become sane, sane enough for Mental Health to release me, ...Father also brought a born again brother into my life, who became my best friend, he always had Scriptures for me when I was down, or slipping back, he was always there for me, always encouraging me to read the Word, to memorize verses, to encourage me and most important, to accept me just as I was, ...totally crazy! That was 37 years ago, may I humbly and in the Love of Christ tell you what the Holy Spirit has taught me? Any and all drugs that causes us to be in an altered state of consciousness, is forbidden for born again children of God, in the New Testament the word for witchcraft is pharmakeia and it means to take drugs, not aspirin or anti-biotics or medicines like that, but rather drugs that mess with our minds, mind altering drugs that can open doors into other dimensions that God didn't give to man to experience. Also, Paul tells us we have been given a sound mind: For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Tim 1:7 and that coupled with: For whom He did foreknow, He also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, Rom 8:29 And (we) have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of Him that created him: Col 3:10 Jesus was never mentally ill, not in Eternity past, not for the 32 years He walked this Earth and not now as a Man sitting at the right hand of the Father, ...Father knew us from before the foundation of this Earth, He knew exactly what would be happening in your life today, ...you have been predestined from before the world was to be conformed into the image of Jesus, ...yes, we all are different, no one is alike, we all have our pah to walk with our Lord, but..., we all have be predestined, while we are here, to be conformed into the image of out Lord, Jesus Christ! I've given to you the verses my best friend gave me when I needed them, times when I was slipping back, times when I felt like I was coming on or having a flashback, times when I felt like it was just too hard to go on, it works, may I suggest you memorize these verses and speak them out loud if you are alone or in you heart if not, when you feel like you're slipping back, or it's too hard or anxious, ...these are more than just words in a book, they are reality, ...reality to those that are born again children of God, ...I tend to remind Father in my prayers of what He has promised me, like, "Father You said I have a sound mind," or Father, "You're conforming me into the image of Your Son Jesus Christ." Dear one, we are in a spiritual war and the battle is being fought in our minds, the enemy of our souls will use our flesh against us, actually we are are own worst enemy, those feeling you feel, that is just your flesh, the old carnal nature talking, energized by the devil, we resist the devil with Scripture and the enemy will flee, just like he did when Jesus quoted Scripture to him, ...remember, the just live by faith, in faith use the promises Father has written in His Word. One last thing, find a church that teaches the Word of God and not here particular doctrine, and fellowship there, ask for help, there will be someone there Father has already prepared to befriend you, ...you are not alone, you are an important member of the Body of Christ and there is a local body that needs your gift and talents. Lord bless

  20. Greetings Preterism the "new frontier" in our day is for the reason that in eschatology the Creeds of the middle ages control system theology among Christians. Essentially there are two camps of preterism for those not familiar with its religious standing I.e. Partial and full Preterism. The critical difference of concern is PP regard FP heretical mainly because FP believe the second coming of Christ and the resurrection mention in the NT was fulfilled in the first century making it history to us. However this is not suggesting in any way no afterlife following our sojourn on earth in that understanding. The reason there is some 33 thousand Christian denomination worldwide all thinking individually they have the correct understanding, including preterist, stems from the fact that what one takes literally in opposition to symbolically. This also includes the timing of those expressions. As a side note "The Bible teaches that Christians “should all speak in agreement.” However, many Christian denominations disagree on teachings as basic as what it means to be a Christian. Such denominations cannot all be right." Since there is nothing new under the sun I thought putting the subject matter of preterism, another " izm" on the table and analyzing it for exploration. I suppose the key in the concept of this "izm" is the word "when". Or when will these things be/happen. To get a grip on Matthew chapter 24 I believe first reading chapter 23. In my estimation there should not be a separation between the two chapters. Matthew 24:24:1 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 "Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; everyone will be thrown down." 3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Thanks for reading Kind Regards Larry

  21. After your a christian, sin separates us from God disrupts the fellowship, but confession and repentance restores the fellowship as it was prior to the sin. Keeping in mind that christians have this promise nothing can separate us from the Love of God. Romans 8 and Prodigal Son parable Even Peter sinned. Galatians 2:11-13 New Living Translation (NLT) Paul Confronts Peter 11 But when Peter came to Antioch, I had to oppose him to his face, for what he did was very wrong. 12 When he first arrived, he ate with the Gentile believers, who were not circumcised. But afterward, when some friends of James came, Peter wouldn’t eat with the Gentiles anymore. He was afraid of criticism from these people who insisted on the necessity of circumcision. 13 As a result, other Jewish believers followed Peter’s hypocrisy, and even Barnabas was led astray by their hypocrisy. I heard this and I like it. Christians sin less but are not sinless. 1 John 1:9 makes it clear we can sin. If we are honest with ourselves we know we are christians and sometimes we sin by what we have done or maybe not done. God is so good to forgive us and his mercy and love is so great. I Praise God for his love and forgiveness.

  24. Thanks for asking, and giving me an opportunity to provide an answer. I can only speak for myself, I cannot predict near future events, or would want to. According to my understanding of the future if I hold out to the end in faith the bible tells me I will live in the household of my heavenly Father. This may or may not be a preterist concept. My relationship with my Heavenly Father and His only begotten Son Jesus is of the most importance. This supersedes the preterist or futurist theology which I consider only open for discussion. OK ....Concerning the second coming of our Lord Jesus in our future, I am not sure. I find no scriptural magic bullet at the time to prove it. However the bible is loaded with time text to provide evidence Jesus came in Divine judgment of the Jewish Nation in the first century. Matthew 24 I posted scriptures to provide that evidence that have been completely ignored. All I am getting is statements about preterism. Why is that? 1 peter 3:15 Most likely many Christians have not looked into the theology, or care to do so. If so should not make broad statements concerning it. I think many Christians are enjoying their comfort zone. Don't we all at times. About that magic bullet I would appreciate some input BTW not to worry I feel protected by the Holy Spirit, which has not let me down for many years.

  25. Only the church at Jerusalem did this. Since people sold their land and all they had just to feed everyone, there was nothing saved or stored when the famine came. So only a short time later you find Paul taking up offering to send to them while he was establishing other churches. So it was perhaps the first failure of communism. The poverty in Russia and other communist nations show that not much has changed.

  28. Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. The Law and the prophets were a tutor to leading to Christ. The Law and the heaven and earth, in the verse, was the Mosaic Law, the Old Covenant world of Israel. The Law, Jewish, economy, was given to the Nation, and in Matthew 5:17, 18 was directed to them in the first century. Not to the literal heaven and earth world we now reside in. It's all about covenant, not the destruction of our planet that is in view. If the verse is literal, and since the heavens and earth have not disappeared, we are then under the Law of Moses if we are Jewish of course. However if it speaking about covenants then we, the Jews, are not under the Mosaic policy. Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear When the Old Covenant became, or realized obsolete we Christians are living under the New Heavens's and Earth, the New Covenant. Jer. 31 and all the blessing it provides for both Jew and Gentile. Hebrews 8:8 But God found fault with the people and said: "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. As one commentator put it, if things in the New Testament, when considering prophecy have double meanings, it has not meaning at all. People want to take the first century event and apply them to our day. This is where the no show of Christ originated, and gave the atheist ammunition to shot back at Christians. I am not predicting Christ will not once again come to our planet, only the scripture provided by the no show prophets. Scripture that speak of an imminent coming in the first century.

  30. Amen! Law was only added because of transgression, just as that passage in 1 Tim.1 is talking about. Why oh why would those to whom the very righteousness of Christ has been imputed want to keep clinging to that old rotting corpse of the Law......and worse glorifying the Law in place of the living resurrected Christ, the one to whom the Law was pointing and leading to.

  31. That is definitely something to think on. I notice that you are very in tune to the idea that God is completely merciful, and is willing to go as far as need be in order to demonstrate His unfathomable mercy, and I completely agree with you. I, on the other hand, have a 'thing' about feeling that God can see into and know the deepest thoughts, desires, and motives of our hearts, and I think maybe in my own mind, I think to myself that because there are so many people such as you said who have never even remotely heard the Gospel or know of Jesus, maybe God knows in their heart what they would do with Jesus if they DID know or hear about Him..? Maybe in this way, looking in the heart of ALL mankind, God in His infinite love, and mercy, reaches those who haven't heard of Him, in that way...? It's just a thought, and when I think of it in this way, it makes me realize and understand that God's love for us is so deep and such a beautiful mystery, that this side of heaven we'll never fully understand it.

  32. Fallen earth and heaven witnessing against those who are still likewise fallen, not saved.....unredeemed creation being still under a curse at this present time, in a fallen state. There will be no need for the Law in the new heavens and new earth. New heaven and new earth will be renewed and freed from the curse. There won't be any unrighteous/fallen left to judge/curse at that time, because they will have already been judged and thrown into the lake of fire. Any who are born again of the Spirit are new creatures.....no longer fallen but a new spiritual creation (except for our physical body, which redemption still awaits and is promised..good as done), and therefore no longer part of fallen creation (heaven and earth) or under the Law....but already counted as citizens of the new heaven/earth...eternal, world without end. 1Ti 1:5-11 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned: From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling; Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm. But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust. For we ourselves passing through this present temporal earth and heaven, we need to decide which we are under....either we are under the Law or we are under the blood of Christ, but we can't be under both. Isa 43:18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Are we born again righteous followers of Yeshua, or are we still disobedient unrighteous sinners under the curse of the Law and its ministry of death?

  34. Hebrew Root Movement Matthew 5:17 "Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. I would guess a mistaken rendition of these verses is a Hebrew Root Movement I.e. standing "until heaven and earth disappear" A literal interpretation of the heavens and earth gave substance to the HRM theology. But if the heavens and earth mentioned symbolically represented the "Mosaic Covenant world of Israel", it made common sense to the listening audience in the first century. "Sadly many Bible students are unfamiliar with apocalyptic, and figurative language" "Deuteronomy 8:19 And it shall be, if thou do at all forget the LORD thy God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you this day that ye shall surely perish. How did God testify against them? With the heaven and earth representing the Law. Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: What records against them? Certainly not the physical heavens and earth, but rather the law:" Deuteronomy 31:26-28 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, that it (the law) may be there for a witness against thee. 27 For I know thy rebellion, and thy stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, ye have been rebellious against the LORD; and how much more after my death? 28 Gather unto me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to record against them. Hebrews 8:13 By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear

  35. Brother, we need the Holy Spirit to be able to rightly divide scripture. I am out of touch with what is going in Messianism these days, whether there are those among them who are not yet born again or who believe in cessationism (that the things of the Spirit ceased after the early church). We MUST be born again to be able to see the kingdom of heaven.....and after that receive the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit opens and reveals, the scriptures to our understanding with little intellectual effort on our part...when we are like little children just receiving and believing them. It is the Father's good pleasure to reveal truth to little children and hide it from the wise and learned. It's often our carnal mind that gets in the way of being able to receive His simple understandings. When our own little grey cells start getting too involved it is then we are wresting the scriptures.....leading to wrong conclusions and a dead end. It's impossible to perceive the things of the spirit without the Holy Spirit...our own minds are of flesh not spirit. I am hearing more and more of those in the Hebrew roots movement who want to do away with some part of the NT scriptures because they get in the way of their pet theologies...either Paul or the book of Hebrews. It's hard to think of anything more dangerous, not to mention presumptuous, and it will not end well for those who do that. We are supposed to be instructed and corrected by those very scriptures they want to do away with, rather than we presume to correct the truth, the word of God. So it just makes me wonder what on earth is going on in that movement these days. It makes me VERY frightened for their souls, especially for Jews who might be caught up in these kinds of deceptions....it's tragic. I just want to add...that without FAITH it is impossible to please God......faith is not of our own, it is of the Holy Spirit. It's something more than mental belief......mental belief needs to be "helped" by the Helper/Paraclete. Like the man whose son was possessed by a demon and he said, "Lord I believe, HELP my unbelief".

  36. This is the same mistake we all make at times while growing in the faith. Each thinking to some extent having a handle on the truth. No one is left out of the scenario...... we go along with our sinful nature judging others. The reason some use the same scriptures over and over again ... only do so because they are not challenged or completely ignored. I found this common when preterist present time text which they believe refers to the first century. This is one of the reasons I searched out the theology. BTW for me I found it quite interesting. There is to much name calling or innuendo's sad to say from preterist and futurist alike. I agree many time there is a game of scriptural ping pong going in the battle for truth. I believe the key after all is said and done .... our goal should be how can we through the Spirit of God if possible create a more intimate relationship with Father and Jesus Christ. Perhaps something to think about. And to take care of our biological family before spending time trying to save the world. Many people have lost family in the process, many of them were married to an unbeliever. 1 Timothy 5:8 If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.

  37. Thanks for the responses I'll stay with a symbolic poetical representation of what the crucifixion has accomplish, and that Jesus did not give his precious life for animals which reside in our local zoo. I believe these verses are about the animal kingdom should be spiritually discerned. 1 Cor. 2:14 Isaiah 11:6 "The wolf also] In this, and the following verses, the prophet describes the effect of his reign in producing peace and tranquility on the earth. The description is highly poetical, and is one that is common in ancient writings in describing a golden age. The two leading ideas are those of "peace" and "security." The figure is taken from the condition of animals of all descriptions living in a state of harmony, where those which are by nature defenseless, and which are usually made the prey of the strong, are suffered to live in security. By nature the wolf preys upon the lamb, and the leopard upon the kid, and the adder is venomous, and the bear, and the cow, and the lion, and the ox, cannot live together. But if a state of things should arise, where all this hostility would cease; where the wild animals would lay aside their ferocity, and where the feeble and the gentle would be safe; where the adder would cease to be venomous, and where all would be so mild and harmless that a little child would be safe, and could lead even the most ferocious animals, that state would represent the reign of the Messiah. Under his dominion, such a change would be produced as that those who were by nature violent, severe, and oppressive; those whose disposition is illustrated by the ferocious and bloodthirsty propensities of the lion and the leopard, and by the poison of the adder, would be changed and subdued, and would be disposed to live in peace and harmony with others. This is the "general" idea of the passage. We are not to cut the interpretation to the quick, and to press the expressions to know what particular class of people are represented by the lion, the bear, or the adder. The "general" image that is before the prophet's mind is that of peace and safety, "such as that would be" if a change were to be produced in wild animals, making them tame, and peaceful, and harmless". from Barnes' Notes Isaiah 11:6 [The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatling together; and a little child shall lead them.] "Then shall the wolf," etc. The idea of the renewal of the golden age, as it is called, is much the same in the Oriental writers with that of the Greeks and Romans:-the wild beasts grow tame; serpents and poisonous herbs become harmless; all is peace and harmony, plenty and happiness: Adam Clarke's Commentary Your 20 minutes are up George looking forward to your input ?

  39. 'Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, .. he sought to slay Moses. .... But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh, ...... and dwelt in the land of Midian: ........ and he sat down by a well. Now the priest of Midian had seven daughters: .. and they came and drew water, .... and filled the troughs to water their father's flock. ...... And the shepherds came and drove them away: ........ but Moses stood up and helped them, .......... and watered their flock. And when they came to Reuel their father, .. he said, "How is it that ye are come so soon to day?" .... they said, "An Egyptian delivered us out of the hand of the shepherds, ...... and also drew water enough for us, and watered the flock." And he said unto his daughters, "And where is he? .. why is it that ye have left the man? call him, that he may eat bread." And Moses was content to dwell with the man: .. and he gave Moses Zipporah his daughter. .... And she bare him a son, ...... and he called his name Gershom: ........ for he said, "I have been a stranger in a strange land."' (Exodus 2:15-22) Praise God!

  40. Perhaps just a short reading ... Act 3:18 But what God foretold by the mouth of all the prophets, that his Christ would suffer, he thus fulfilled. Act 3:19 Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, Act 3:20 that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, Act 3:21 whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago. What is the restoration of ALL THINGS? And you read about this ... not in the New Testament ... but in the Old Testament ... the prophets from long ago. For example, we see the restoration of the Animal Kingdom. Isa 11:6 The wolf shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the young goat, and the calf and the lion and the fattened calf together; and a little child shall lead them. Isa 11:7 The cow and the bear shall graze; their young shall lie down together; and the lion shall eat straw like the ox. Isa 11:8 The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra, and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder's den. Isa 11:9 They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD as the waters cover the sea. So if you think we're in the Kingdom ... simply go to the Zoo and play with a Lion! It's a simple test to show whether or not we're in the Kingdom! Within the Prophets, you'll see God's plan for the restoration of Israel, and the nations!

  41. Exodus 2:11-14 Moses Flees to Midian 11 One day, after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. 12 Looking this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand. 13 The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?” 14 The man said, “Who made you ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian?” Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have become known.”

  43. There is so much written concerning His coming that being a Full Preterist makes ecumenical unity so much easier in conforming and writing unity doctrine. It's why Brian McClarean of the Emergent Church says the bible is old dusty truth, that is where God was, we need to know where God is today. MAN , my friend , YOU Took the words right outta my mouth . And its why i aint one ounce surprised more and more will buy into this preterism . What a deception . Spot on . This might very well be why preterism is not getting warned out against by those of the unity movement . BUT we better do all to avoid that movement . Its here in part by the way . Just watch how it will increase too . And we gotta expose it . no matter what it costs me , i will expose it till my final and last breath .

  44. Well, where is George when we need Him . He says he can convince a preterist of their error in twenty mins or less. I will stick with pauls words , they say the resurrection is past already and overthrow the faith of some . JESUS is coming back , JUST like HE said and will come for His church . But those who doubt that , wont be caught up with Him. Better we be watching as our LORD did say . And i pray whoever just made mention of brian McLaren , OH DEAR don't follow nor trust that man . He went from far wicked to upmost wicked . I know , i know he smiles a lot , so to this generation it must mean HE KNOWS CHRIST . Preterism will lead to the total wrong place . But , i aint a it surprised if more and more really pile up on its band wagon . WE are IN THE LAST of times .

  45. These perspectives such as preterism, futurism and all other isms really exist because of hellenistic systematic theologies. Our theologies such as dispensationalism are good up to a point and can be a good beginning but they only get us so far in understanding the coming of The Lord. The hebraic perspective of prophecy is pattern. This includes preterism futurism poemisism historisism. In other words preterism is true in much of what it says but wrong in thinking that it's the only right view, end of story. Same with all the other isms. Jesus takes Daniels prophecy of the abomination that was fulfilled with the Grecians and says it will happen again. Jesus ministry was three and a half years and it would seem three and a half years is also given for the rein of the son of perdition in Revelation. We think hellenistic because our culture is hellenistic but the bible is middleeastern, it's hebraic and we need to view the bible through he eyes of the apostles and not a western theological philosophy or theology. To understand the coming of Jesus we must understand how the apostles understood these things . Otherwise we just battle back and forth defending our possitions each one of us using the same scriptures to do so. The challange is not an intellectual mounting of theological proofs but approaching the scriptures with the heart of a child and asking God to teach us. There is so much written concerning His coming that being a Full Preterist makes ecumenical unity so much easier in conforming and writing unity doctrine. It's why Brian McClarean of the Emergent Church says the bible is old dusty truth, that is where God was, we need to know where God is today. So much of the scriptures speaks of our hope in His appearing that having it all fulfilled leads us to a reasonable conclusion that the scritpures are not really for our day. Brian says it is truth but does what the logical thing for a full preterist to do is look elswhere for what is to come. Same mistake charasmatics make, shelve the bible, just different subject matter. Same deciever.
