  1. This is something I shared with someone the other day in my salvation experience. In my own personal faith walk, I was in a period of 3 months whereby I was convicted of sin deeply ... and I felt as if I couldn't do anything without the weight of sin. In Pilgrim's Progress, it describes Pilgrim's journey whereby he was constantly carrying this burden ... this is how I believe we are when we are in our incubation state. As we struggle, we're fighting for faith. Honestly, I believe there's a lesson to be learned with Jacob wrestling with the Angel (the pre-incarnate Jesus) in Genesis 32. Before this particular night, Jacob always offered a sacrifice to the God of Abraham and the God of Issac. It was always a sacrifice to the God of His Fathers. It wasn't until this night when Jacob refused to let go -- and said -- I will not let you go until you bless me -- then God changed His name from Jacob to Israel. Afterwards, you see how Jacob offered sacrifices to the God of Israel. It wasn't until his own wrestling match with the Lord -- that it became personal for him. I believe every believe must go through his own "wrestling" match so to speak with the Lord. In the 1700s , the famous evangelist Jonathan Edwards listed the stages of saving faith. The first stage is the awareness of the horror of being eternally lost. The second stage is the attempt to stop sinning to remove guilt. The person tries to save himself any way he can, and comes to the futile realization that he cannot save himself. The third stage is the realization that the seeker cannot save himself that only God can save him from his sin. The fourth stage is the conviction that God is just in His judgment. God is just in his condemnation of sin and the penalty of his sin. The seeker comes to the place where he realizes that God does not have to save him and finds himself utterly at the mercy of God. The fifth stage when the seeker becomes to have an affection for God and the Holy Spirit pours out upon the seeker the gift of salvation and fills his heart with the joy of knowing the seeker is truly saved. Saving faith will fill a person so deeply that His and life are forever changed. The new believer is so filled with love, that the believer can't wait to be in the arms of His savior. And its this love that permeates his being and has a love that passes human understanding, even love that has the ability to love his enemies. Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George

  2. It can be both ... very easily. For example, in the 1 Chronicles 21:1 Then Satan stood against Israel and incited David to number Israel. In the 2 Samuel 24:1 passage it says, 2Sa 24:1 Again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he incited David against them, saying, “Go, number Israel and Judah.” As a Father would discipline his child, it appears that God removed his hand of protection against Israel and allowed a judgment. Of course, this judgment was stayed ... where? At the Temple Mount, where later we find the Temples were built -- where God stopped the judgment against Israel.

  3. what you don't see is that God sees deeper into the heart the we can. God knows every peculiar person and is Long suffering. Where the law condemns God never gives up on a person with grace that is knew every morning we are lost people Yes its just as easy as reading the scripture and overcome every evil. One thing we need to learn is there is no power in us that can over come sin and the flesh. Many strongholds die hard. Yet God does not give up on those who struggle. I can take comfort in what Paul said Being confident in this one thing, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion Phi 1: 6. It is Gods will that none should be lost Eze 36:26-27 A new heart also will I give you and a new spirit will I put within you and I will take away the stony heart out of you flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh And I will put my Spirit within you and cause you to walk in my statutes and ye shall keep my judgments, and do the

Between school functions basketball practice and track with not allot of money to eat out. My mom taught me how to cook a few simple dishes this is one of them. you cook the chicken in the frying pan till it is done put it aside. Then you cook the rice you actually can cook the rice while the chicken is cooking. Then you take a jar of sweet and sour sauce your favorite brand. Then take a can of cocktail fruit with or without the cherry your choice. You cut up the chicken put it in a bowl then the rice the sweet and sour sauce and cocktail fruit. Wala you’ve got dinner. 6. Why do you even ask this question? Before this time people people will be drawn or repulsed by Gods message.. So the message of God will be doing it's job to separate those who Love the truth and those who love unrighteousness... When the number of those who are to be justly saved is reached then there is no longer the need to draw people by the Message of the Love of the truth that saves.. Thus God can make Himself obvious to one and all so that His majesty can no longer be resisted or denied.. Then all will bow the knee to Him no matter if they hated His truth or loved his truth.. And then the final judgement can begin..

  7. The Bible explicitly warns of worldwide deception in last days. People will turn away from the truth and be deceived by doctrines and beliefs influenced by satan and demons. Psychiatry/Mental health services are operated by groupthink and allegiance to a book called the DSM5 which has no scientific basis, but an ideological set of beliefs voted on by a group of psychiatrists. Although they are fallible humans. These people are deceived and caught in an ideological delusion. They suffer from poor insight and judgment as professionals. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

  8. Sometimes I can tell someone is intentionally going out of their way to make me feel inferior. To make me feel ugly, less than , poor, insignificant. Because of my class, race, looks, etc. It it makes me so mad and upset that they’re doing it on purpose and enjoying every second of my sadness and anger. I want want to get mad at them, not just for myself but on behalf of all people they treat that way. I want to put them in their place! Who do they think they are? They’re the ugly insignificant one! But...what does Jesus want me to do?

  9. Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, Under the old covenant's Levitical priesthood, there was no provision for sins of presumption, or sinning willfully. In the verses below we can read that no sacrifice was provided for intentional sin. Numbers 15:28 And the priest shall make an atonement for the soul that sinneth ignorantly, when he sinneth by ignorance before the LORD, to make an atonement for him; and it shall be forgiven him. 15:30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the land, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15:31 Because he hath despised the word of the LORD, and hath broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be upon him. The book of Hebews gives Jews, undergoing persecution, the knowledge of the full scope of the new covenant that Jesus provided by His blood sacrifice. The book of Hebrews presents Jesus as high priest after the order of Melchisedec, not after the Levitical priesthood. Hebrews 6:20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. The law, as well as the priesthood, was changed. Hebrews 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. Under the new priesthood, and change in the law, there still remained no sacrifice for willful sin. Below is a warning to the Hebrews about reverting back to the Levitical priesthood, and it's sacrifices. They are warned about willfully rejecting the blood sacrifice of Christ as being sufficent to remove all their sin, and bring in the new covenant. Hebrews 10:29 Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?

  10. Yeah, the Bible does say that, but what maryjane said applies too. Perhaps I'm wrong, but just posting a Bible verse sounds rather cold, especially to anyone who's walked that road. That sort of thing doesn't help, and can seem like a slap in the face to someone who's really hurting because it can sound like the person saying it doesn't really care about them. I apologize if I'm wrong. I've been down that road in the past, and since I spend a lot of time with folks in recovery I know a lot of people who have been down that road too. Life in this world is not cut and dried, and the enemy just loves to bring up suicide when it seems like your whole world has just ended. Sometimes our minds can be so messed up, so overwhelmed that it seems like checking out is a good answer - but its never a good answer. Like maryjane said: The Lord is the only one who knows both sides of the story in each case. "Shall not the judge of all the earth do right?"-- (end of) Gen 18:25

  11. I realize that most people praying ... do not pray as the Bible instructs us to pray. So a research paper discussing prayer ... would be different depending on the saints that were praying! Early in my walk, I read the autobiography of George Mueller, and how his prevailing prayer worked miracles! There is an effectual working prayer of the saints ... that transforms from the smallest of things ... to even nations! May I suggest reading a book, How to Pray by RA Torrey. Or Asking and Receiving by John R Rice. We'll send them to you as a gift from the ministry if you wish!

  12. Hi, Glock. Questions are the best way to settle things in your heart and mind because there ARE answers. [1] How did Judas Iscariot die? He hung himself in a field that he bought. After hanging there a long while, his body bloated, fell from the tree, and burst open with his intestines spilling out. Matthew tells you how he died. Luke [author of Acts] tells you what happened to his dead body after a while. [2] Who incited David to take the census? Ultimately, Satan. 2 Samuel 24:1 says, "Again the anger of the LORD was roused against Israel and he moved David against them to say, 'Go number Israel and Judah'". Who is that "he"? It's Satan. God does not cause people to sin. [James 1:13]. The people had to be punished for their idolatry. The devil "moved" David to sin and God allowed it for HIS purpose. David would sin. God would give him a choice of punishment and David chose for the people to suffer a plague. David would soon regret it terribly that he put that on the people [not focusing on the deserved punishment]. David had compassion on his people and so did God. God told his angel that brought the plague, "ENOUGH!" God takes no pleasure in the destruction of the wicked. Ezekiel 18:23 and 33:11.

  13. Jesus was also showing us , exactly where the evil springs from . THE HEART . And its why he also said , GAURD YOUR HEART for out of it comes the issues of life . If we walk after the Spirit we will not fulfill the lusts of the flesh . if any time an evil thought pops in our mind , And woe it does , if we would take heed and submit to God , resist the evil , it will flee . IT WILL FLEE . This too is why we have a pattern JESUS SET about correction for error . IF we follow that pattern , leaven wont rise up and fill the place either . And any who has erred might very well repent as well . The flesh will never cease to be contrary , it will throw evil thoughts into our mind , it is the sin that sins . But if we heed it not , then we sin not . We can overcome , because greater is HE IN US than anything . But if a man wont believe he has all he needs in Christ to overcome any evil . Then I have to ask , WHERE is HIS FAITH . Because ONLY IN CHRIST , YET IN HIM , we do have the power and ability which HE would give us , TO overcome any evil .

  14. Anyone who tries to make someone feel inferior for any reason is only hiding deep inferiority complexes within themselves. The only way they can feel better about themselves is by making others feel less than them. Once you can realize and remember this, when it happens again, you will find you feel sorry for those doing this and not angry. I often wonder what has happened to this person to make them so insecure and/or hateful. Don't allow anyone to control how you feel about yourself.

  16. God has written a great mystery of Himself in a begin where began has never been before... in many places I have found I lack capacity to continue in the leading of God's Word due to my weakness of demand to fit things in that which I have began in -yet- still knowing that He Who has written to me never has! The most necessary aspect of relationship with The Lord is just meditating on the Who of Him >WITH< Him in s/Spirit … 'ye must be born again' to have this with Him! One aspect here in this is the begin of evil formed in lie by satan: we know by the Genesis account God had created angels by the fourth day by the passage of Job Job 38:6-7 6 Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; 7 When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? KJV The greater mystery lies in the element of satan seeing from nothing these things that became by God just speaking them to be so and then thinking he could be god... if one examines the nature of lie you would see that in order for lie to even exist truth must first be- for lie is totally and completely dependent upon truth to exist in the perversion of truth... So just in this simple meditation of truth we see satan is totally dependent on God for his rebellion to even begin so then how can he be god by independence of being- which is the Who of God in God's statement of Himself I AM that I AM !...?...! More over how can a creature like as we by begin yet greater in ability say I will be god? We know that we cannot by begin how can he? Even more astounding here we see people all the time claiming to be god and die whoops there goes another lie.. Point: My suspect of the answer is God moved David to number for a totally different reason that is not listed 2 Samuel account. Satan always moving along to pervert truth so as to be god moves David, the Chronicles account, to the perversion of heart to number. You see life is always about the heart of motive... the why something is done... the end game and w/Who the foundation... If God then the eternity with Him~ if created thing then death and separation from that eternity with God for eternity. David has walked with God in the fact of the bear, the lion, the giant Goliath, the victories in battles all because his reliance was upon God- the Samuel passage (perhaps) it was God strengthening him by the numbers God has given him We know that God's anger was direct to Israel and by David numbering cause the people to rely upon their numbers rather than upon God... however the Chronicles passage was satan to rely upon the created element of numbers to rely upon victory...you want simplicity here it is - is your faith upon the created element or upon God... because I have given my heart to God I no longer find doubt in God's Word but of my ability to discern the intent of what is written... But I know it is perfect in it's build and I must continue to seek to understand all that God has for me in His way, truth, and life... this is the faith that delivers us from this death and darkness of lies and confusion and it is totally formed from His Word without doubt...

  17. On a more serious note. You may find help by reading through the forums here. Reading what others have posted about prayer and the things they have gone through. Sometimes God says "no" to our prayers. I don't know why. All I know is I need to trust that God has a plan for me. Even though at times none of the things going on around me make any sense. I am sorry I can not be of more help at this time. I am sure others on here will be able to answer your questions much better then me. If at all possible it may help you to find a good pastor that you can sit down and have a talk with. By a good pastor I mean one where you can question everything without fear of their judgment. If you have more questions feel free to ask. I know people here will do their best to answer them.

  19. Just woke up and read this and I can relate to most of what you asked and said. I recently created a post titled " I ofter read of "God told me".". I have read and heard of many people who said right here of God telling them to do something and I was just wanted to know the method that God "spoke" to them. The answers were varied and and mixed. Probably later on I would say some more about your questions. I often pondered on the situation of David and the numbering of the people and as you said it had great consequences. I have had many battles in the spiritual realm that confirms what the bible speaks of in terms of evil and the wiles of the devil. Like you, I sometimes struggles with the lack of a personal intimacy with God, but my spirit would not let go of God as it sees the bible as the truth of our lives, even though we struggle with the parts that we cannot come to terms with or understand fully, even though others say they have. The question though is one of "doubt". It is one of the most powerful weapons the enemy uses to draw the believer away from the truth and back into the worldly kingdom with all the glitters and things that is placed seductively before us. A believer has to come to grips with the term " suffering". It is a part of the christian life and each would have his own to bear. Though Christ paid for it all, we are to endure hardship as a good soldier and not let the devil throw us of the pathway in our journey, which in the flesh is for a very short time. Things hope for, evidence not seen .....

  20. Perhaps it is best for all of us to start with self, humbly praying before our awesome creator much like a collector of taxes once did with such contrition: “Two men went up into the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee, standing by himself, prayed thus: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I get.’ But the tax collector, standing far off, would not even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’ I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

  21. The truth is, you can't do anything about it. If he wants to drink, he is going to drink. If you give him a ultimatum to stop drinking, all that will happen is he will start lying to you about it. You cannot change this type of behavior in a person, bottom line. If he decides to quit drinking, then he will do so in his own time. If he was a drinker when you met, he will probably say that to you, so what you need to change has nothing to do with him. Choose someone that doesn't drink. You only have two viable options here. 1) You break up with him, and when he asks why you say because you can't be with someone who drinks. You tried, and it isn't working. 2) You continue to date him, and ask God to change him. God can change someone's behavior effectively, other people cannot, so stop trying. God bless

  22. Dear brother, please, may I humbly ask, ...are you trying to live on the other side of the Cross? From what you have said in your two posts it's looks that way, we are born again, new creations in Christ, the old has passed away and everything has become new, ...what I'm saying is we don't have to live in the past, ..we live in the now! Before we were born again we asked for forgiveness, after, all we have to do now is confess our sins, 1 Jn 1:9, the word confess is homologeo, that means to say the same thing as another, to be in agreement with, when we confess we are agreeing with God that we are sinners, ...now, when we sin, the Holy Spirit tells us we have sinned and we confess, if it's the Holy Spirit speaking to our spirit He will automatically draw us to Father, ...if it's the devil he will cause us to feel guilty and we will run away from God. If you do a word search on forgive forgiving, forgiveness, you will find it only applied to man asking God in the Gospels, in the Epistles it is never used as man asking God, ...we are told God has forgotten our sins, tied them in a sack and dropped into the deepest part of the ocean never to be remembered again, separated from us as far as the East from the West, we can travel West and never arrive at East, so, ...if we ask God to forgive us His answer will be, "Forgive you for what, what are you talking about?" ...because nothing is impossible for God so He can chose to forget all of our sin, past, present and future. I hope this helps, Lord bless

  23. Brother, what Jesus was teaching is the Law is spiritual, not physical, He was showing the multitude that the curse on Adam and all of his descendants, ...is the sacrificial system was just a type, an illustration of what He would accomplish on the Cross for all of humanity, the sacrificial system only covered their sins, He was sent to pay the penalty due with His Blood, the Blood of God sprinkled on the Altar in Heaven, thus abolishing the handwriting against us so that we could go and live in Eternity with God the Father. In today's sexually immoral society we men would have to walk around blindfolded to not commit this sin (but even that wouldn't work because we could still recall images from our past), because our carnal nature, the old man, is still alive and lusting just as much, and actually more after we are born again than it was before we were regenerated, however, the new man, the new creation in Christ does not, can not, sin, ...that's the spiritual warfare we are engaged in 24/7, ...when the lustful thoughts are presented in our mind our new man, our new nature responds with, "that old man is dead, buried at my baptism, ...I'm washed in the Blood of Christ," therefore I think on whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, I think on these things. Are we perfect, sinless, ...of course not, ...I once heard a man of God say, "the older I get, I sin less, ...but confess more." Lord bless

  27. Yes, well, if you go back to the first post in this thread, you will see that I have rewritten it totally. There are now a dozen broad categories planned, and I expect 100, more or less, specific topics that will fall under those heading. I have done this based on the premise, right or wrong, that there are some orders that will work better than others. Premise upon premise. For example, God is a big topic, but how do we know, what we know, about Him? The main answer to that, is we know from the Bible, so I hope to establish a few things about the Bible, so that we can understand it and trust it etc. If we do not trust information about God, we might doubt God Himself, and fail to understand Him and His purposes, His will. So, my intention is to lay a framework that hopefully helps us in our journeys.

  39. I would go with other one on this except for the Anon thing. A beer now and then or glass of wine is one thing but if his drinking bothers you and it doesn't seem to matter to him that it bothers you the best thing for both of you is to dump him. We have become a nation of panderers to the mess. People already adjust their lives for the drinker, learning to adjust some more is wrong. The drinker needs to adjust or get out. If they love drinking more than you why stay with them. If you love them, draw the line. Even if you're never together again it may be the best thing for him. It could save him. A guy I grew up with, a state record holder for something to do with plumbing while in High school, moved out of state had a great job and girlfriend but fell into the love of whiskey and friends. She gave him an ultimatum but was wise enough to know they needed to get away from the party friends. The choice, move to his home town and start the business he talks about or she was gone, she loved him but was not going to sit around watching him fail. They moved back and he has one of the largest plumbing companies in the area now over 30 years running. Bottom line, he loved her.

  41. 34 Now Dinah the daughter of Leah, whom she had borne to Jacob, went out to see the women of the land. 2 And when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivite, the prince of the land, saw her, he seized her and lay with her and humiliated her. 3 And his soul was drawn to Dinah the daughter of Jacob. He loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her. 4 So Shechem spoke to his father Hamor, saying, “Get me this girl for my wife.”Gen 34:1-4

  42. So I am getting brave I am starting to put together my own recipes after getting an idea from another. So I put cauliflower broccoli potatoes and celery with some carrots I put chicken broth and salt and garlic powder. I have a pressure cooker now so it called for bacon it really depends on your cooker I guess you would refer to the manual some sauté but on mine you actually put it on soup setting. You let it heat up with a little oil I used olive oil then when the bacon is cooked you take it out. You add onion I used frozen yellow onion but you also can use scallions my dad and brother don’t care for them. Then when they were translucent I added the broth first to deglaze then the vegetables then don’t do what I did and forget to turn the knob on top to allow it to pressurize it I had done it right it would have taken 7 minutes but in this case I set it for 10 minutes and cooked it again pressurizing it. My cooker cooks in 10 minutes oh and by the way at the end you add 1/2 cup milk half and half or heavy cream I choose milk. It also says to use an immersion blender or blender in batches but I will add the milk and leave it the way it is but that is just me then you ad back in the bacon. So that is my recipe

  43. First off, she didn't enter into the beauty contest, ...she was forced to participate or be killed! Second the story takes place at the time of Ezra and it's one of many illustrations of God's grace and providential care for His people, ...even the ones that didn't return to their land after the captivity. As has been previously stated it probably was a sexual contest between the women, ...what were their choices, queen or a celibate life, we must not judge them for their actions, we would probably all do the same if faced with the same choice, also, we must remember they probably were not Jewish, ...thus without the knowledge of God's Law. There isn't anything recorded that Esther behaved in that matter, so we must not add to Scripture with our ideas, ...what Scripture does tell us is; The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: He turneth it whithersoever He will. Pro 21:1 With that in mind and with the rest of the story we see God, in His Providential care, placing Esther as queen so that she can save her people from annihilation. Lord bless

  45. I have no idea what you wrote, but it takes a big person to humbly admit wrong doing. Good on you.

  48. This is a similar to how we make crepes, skim milk and all. For for the filling, a sprinkling of sugar with fresh lemon juice is quite tasty, so is just honey alone.

  49. A mental illness is a serious illness and imbalance of the brain. It has nothing to do with demons or being possessed. Like other parts of our body which has an illness such as diabetes or thyroid problems the brain also is vulnerable to illnesses. A person who has a serious mental illness needs to see a psychiatrist for further evaluation. It is very cruel for the Christian world to think that a person who has a mental illness is "possessed".
