  2. Hi LL, That is why Jesus referred to His meeting us in the air as a thief in he night.....silent. Not sure where you found a scripture that says that Jesus referred to His meeting us in the air as a thief in the night....silent. It will be anything but silent. 1 Thes 4:16: 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a [a]shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. His voice will command all those in the grave to rise. (the righteous) His voice will reverberate through the whole universe. Then the blast of a trumpet. Here are the scriptures that do refer to Him coming "like a thief": Revelation 16:15 English Standard Version (ESV) 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) Matthew 24:43 English Standard Version (ESV) 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 English Standard Version (ESV) 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:4 English Standard Version (ESV) 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 2 Peter 3:10 English Standard Version (ESV) 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies[a] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[b] Now look at 1 Thes 5:1-4: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 English Standard Version (ESV) The Day of the Lord 5 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers,[a] you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief." It is not the believers that will be in darkness, but the unbelievers. Paul tells us that we are not in darkness for that day to surprise us like a thief. The "Day of the Lord" will come "like a thief in the night" to the unbelievers only. The Day of the Lord, the Day of God's wrath upon all the unbelievers and sinners, will happen after the celestial/terrestrial disturbances (Joel 2:30-31) after the resurrection and rapture of all the saints. The Great Tribulation, the celestial/terrestrial signs, the resurrection/rapture, the Day (year) of the Lord. In that order. Isaiah tells us in Isaiah vs 34:8, 61:2, and 63:4......that the Day of the Lord will last approx 1 year. ""For the day of vengeance (wrath) was in my heart, and My year of redemption has come" "To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, and the Day of vengeance (wrath) of our God" "For the Lord has a Day of vengeance (wrath), a year of recompense for the cause of Zion" I don't see anywhere in all of scripture that says the Day of the Lord is 7 years long. (pre-trib speculation). The only way to come up with this is to equate the entire 70th week of Daniel as the Day of the Lord. (which pre-trib does) There is no 7 year Great Tribulation. Not to be found!
  3. For now Corrie Ten Boom. I love her books and i feel such growth and direction frim reading them. Amazing inspiring woman. This is how i like my knowledge to grow, to underpin my faith and prayers. Direct and filled with love. Not self glorification as some authors do. How to serve God and give Him the glory. I love every sentence she wrote.. I marvel at her travels even in old age. Anyone read them? Who else would you recommend as wonderfully straightforward scriptural teachings?

    Hi

Hello, I'm not a bot or a spammer! Promise!
  5. I read the hiding place a few times at least. I meant a man who knew her from Holland. I think he worked with her. Her family was great too. Her Father a man of faith and hers sisters all walk wi T h God.
  6. Jesus Loved and boy did they hate him, I do not think we have seen anything yet I just hope when it really gets bad we can still love one another.
  7. HI all you have to do is accept Jesus. He is saviour. It's through faith but not faith that saves us. It's Jesus who saves us. If you know he died for the world . And you know he was raised by the Father. And you know your a sinner. Then accept him. Just tell him I accept you. It's not feeling. Don't go by feeling. It's only faith in Jesus. It's a trust he is enough as saviour to be forgiven. And then he gives the holy spirit. Truse his work on your behalf. He cannot lie. He is holy. He said all who comes to me I will not cast out. If you say to him forgive me. That's all it takes. His blood will cleanse you of any and all sins. You will have the certain hope of eternal life. Jesus died for you. Because of his love he has for you. He will not say no. But he will say yes. Just ask him sincerely to forgive you. And confess him as lord. After we are forgiven we do belong to him. He is our lord. His life is our life. Then thank God the Father. He had mercy on you.
  8. Fire tests the purity of silver and gold, but a person is tested by being praised - 17:21 Whoever pursues righteousness and unfailing love will find life, righteousness, and honour - 21:21
  9. Shalom Jacquis, Difficult situation. The heart can lead us in all kinds of tricky situations... I'd say tread very carefully here sister. Yes, in this day and age, it's very difficult to find someone you connect with and also have the same beliefs with. But your post almost feels like your subconscious flagging up the alert to yourself. Try this experiment. Forget this man for a moment and read your post as if someone else posted it. What would you advise? Don't ever give anything to man because of emotional manipulation or pressure. It's surely not going to then turn into a magically happy outcome. You have to feel right and at peace about it or regret will likely follow (at the least) and he would then be aware that he can pressure you when needs be. I realise you must be pretty hurt about this and thinking about it a lot but be of good cheer sister. To me, it sounds like you have saved yourself from years of forthcoming confusion and heartache, if that has been the starting foundation. Sometimes, with relationships, you can be tempted with negative worldly options intentionally before the right one crosses your path. But when the right one comes along, you will know, and a sign will be that you won't need help here. I hope that makes some kind of sense! Love & Shalom
  10. Well this is how it happened to me; I had come to the Lord and was baptized in water. However it was in a church that was more into the prosperity thing so the baptism of the spirit was not there. Some years after I started to question all that I had been taught and started to read my Bible like a legal document and apply a very literal interpretation. As my theology started to come into line with what Jesus really taught and I started to tell others what I believed, regardless of what the pastor was teaching, I found that there was answers to my prayers and the confirmation associated with the correct application of the word was starting to manifest. Then one afternoon during prayer I was anointed as in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit. It felt like oil had been poured onto my head and it ran all the way down to the souls of my feet and then started back up again. This is not something you claim by faith etc, when it happens you feel it physically and you know it has happened. There is no ambiguity. You may accept the Lord but when you get your act together correctly the Lord accepts you !
  11. Dear Kenzie, I just wanted to encourage you that God does not waste anything that happens in our lives. You are a beautiful young woman, and don't forget that! I was bullied also but because of Jesus in my life I turned out ok. God will use you because of your struggles. Being bullied and being an outcast in my teens have opened my eyes now as an adult to see the "hurting, and forgotten" I am sure that I am more sensitive to people because of what I went through. God never wastes anything, I am sure you will be a great encourager and exhorter for the weak some day! blessings!
  12. Lord, I pray for this person’s salvation. I ask that you move and your grace and mercy shines through. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen
  13. Thanks for sharing, Frances. Please know that I’m standing with you in prayer for you daughter’s friend, asking the Lord to bring her to a saving faith in Jesus. There is power in our agreeing together in a prayer like this. May God bless you for your compassionate heart and grant your desires be fulfilled as you trust in Him. Blessings to you!
  14. I’m sorry to hear that, friend. Be assured of my prayers for you. May the Lord touch you with His healing hands and strengthen you. I hope you’ll get well soon. Blessings to you.
  15. Gosnell : When Art Collides with Reality and Exposes the Truth https://news.yahoo.com/gosnell-art-collides-reality-exposes-233725767.html
  16. This was another sad day in history, don't forget that the Bible warns of those days, they have to happen before Jesus is coming back, everything is eccellerating , look around and see what all ready happened this year,we have to really be aware of the days we live in,people will believe the lie and will be deceived by the spirit of this world, born again Christians might soon face persecution, they will be a hindrance for the NWO. Maranatha,Jesus come!
  17. That is really taking a lot of theologic license, which is outside your pay grade. Who set you up as the almighty standard of truth in these matters? The only reasonable assertion regarding "doctrine of demons" is that which rejects the Messiah and core doctrines that surround the Messiah, like his Sonship in relation to the Father, His being coequal in the Godhead with the Father and the Holy Spirit, His being born of a virgin of the Tribe of Judah as promised, His death, burial, and resurrection as the atonement of man, etc. These topics regarding the end times are not in the same category and using terms like "doctrines of demons" has the only purpose of shutting down meaningful dialogue and marginalizing the participants. I am comfortable in saying this.... it is sin against the brethren. Some of these end times ideas may be in error, but that doesn't mean the concept is doctrinally evil in nature or the individuals who espouse them are acting out of evil malice trying to discredit the truth. And anyone on either side of the issue using the similar tactics as political attacks in the secular world is acting just like those in the world would act. And we are commanded to be of a separate mind than those in the world. But it is to be expected in this day. If one happens to disagree with someone they are either a racist, homophobe, bigot, etc. So now we have come to the point where anyone who might theologically disagree on a nonessential topic in terms of justification and sanctification, and through their own study has arrived at a different conclusion regarding the end times is now espousing doctrine of demons. Well, seems that we have a long way to go. We seem to be a long way from "they will know us by our love for one another".
  18. Just the thought of keeping that clean is scary
  19. There was one time that God told me to stop praying for a person. I don't even remember who it was, but my prayers were answered a few months later. Sometimes I am led to to stop praying and start praising God for the answer. There are some subjects that I have greater compassion for the situations than others. It doesn't matter who it is, it has to do with what they are praying for. Often I pray that Gods will be done instead of praying as the people request.
  20. Abortion is the last straw and will not go unpunished. I don't think even full repentance is going to save the USA. Just like in the days of Josiah. He did everything right, but the sins of Manassah was too great. What was that sin? 2 Kings 24:3-4 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came [this] upon Judah, to remove [them] out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon. America's days are numbered.
  21. that's part of the reason that people accept abortion...… because we are not telling people what it is really all about.... people need to be forced to understand the barbarism of what really happens.
  22. If ever you were against the legalization of abortion with sincere thought about an unborn child. I highly doubt you would have made hypothetical points to justify such an atrocious act of evil. Hypothetical s should never be used in a court of any sort. And if an official of the courts has taken a bribe they have perverted justice. In a case or discussion with sound judgement medical facts and actual statistics should be a reasoning point. Instead the current lawmakers motives are monetary funding and population control(murder). They may think the liar they worship covers them. But their fruits or lack there of expose them. Blessings Always
  23. I did not really want to post this but it hurts my heart so much that I had to we must do all we can to show America-World this is against human nature and God. I do not know if this will help but I cannot sit by and say nothing and I cannot sit by without including it in my prayer daily. I can see the babies being ripped apart inside the mom trying to cry with mouths wide open but not having the ability to make a noise. After that I am speechless!
  24. I don't really like "What If" questions, but abortion breaks my heart, so why not say something. I believe one of His first words would be "You shall not murder." (Exodus 20:13). Then He may remind them of how they used to pass their children through fire and how it was an abomination, as when the Sepharvites burned their children to their false gods (2 Kings 17:31) and how King Ahaz worshiped Baals by burning his children in fire (2 Chronicles 28:1-4). This, to me, would be where He may start.
  25. @PromisesPromises!thank you so much for praying or me💕 and I’ll be sure to listen to “you say” .
  26. i remember going through this.Im Praying God will help you not worry so much about how others see you.
  27. Praying for you Kenzie. Praying you will make many friends and feel more comfortable and do well in school.
  28. Hi, Kenzie! I was really surprised by your first sentence, especially this part: First of all, it is soooo normal to have some self-esteem issues at the age of 16! If it seems to you that others don't, it's probably only because they just aren't as open about theirs as you have been with us. Second, you are struggling not with how others see you, but with how you see yourself. There is a great song by Lauren Daigle called You Say that you should listen to. I'm sure you can find it on YouTube. It's a song about all the negative things we say about ourselves contrasted with what God says. And isn't His opinion waaaay more important than anyone else's? (I'll post this song in the Christian music section, but it may take a few hours to show up.) I am so sorry that you had to endure being bullied. I'm sure it was hurtful and humiliating; and I'm sure you will never forget those awful times. But that experience does not have to be wasted. You survived it! God was with you through it all, making you stronger, creating compassion and perseverance in you. Maybe you will be needed in His future plans for you to rescue or comfort another victim of the same kind of thing. Getting a job was a really positive step in the right direction for helping to build your confidence. You say that you don't feel like God hears you, but have you considered that perhaps it was HE who made sure that job opportunity was open to you? I KNOW he hears your prayers, just as I know He will hear my prayers for you tonight! One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 56:8--"You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?" Just imagine--you are so precious to God that he pays close attention to yourcomings and goings, and He cares so much about what hurts your heart that He lovingly collects your tears. He knows EVERYTHING about you and has created a plan just for you. If you have Him at the head of your life, no matter what happens to you, it will turn out for your good. His plan is for you to put Him first, to love and serve others, to be salt and light in a world that is not perfect. I am CERTAIN that this world is at the very least a little better because He put you exactly where you are "for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14). Stand on His promises with me; the best is yet to be! I will be praying for you, Kenzie!
  29. Thank you for your kind words @SelahSong 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨
  30. Yes! Love his writings. Wonderful.
  31. Or when you are in a very quiet place........
  32. 1 point
"Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect." - Romans 12:2 (NLT) Political correctness, new cultural norms, and social pressure are trying to reshape the very fabric of the Church to be conformed to this world instead of being the transformational force we are called to be by the renewing of our minds by God's Word (Romans 12:2). The enemy has loosed a spirit of seduction, deception, and intimidation against the Church that, if we are not strong, will cause our very foundations to crumble. In 1 Samuel 30, we see the story of David at Ziklag. At Ziklag, the Amalekites attacked and robbed David and David's men, taking everything that was precious in their lives. The Amalekite spirit is indicative of a vicious, violent spirit of robbery. These were desperate times and David had a decision to make: would he give in to what was happening in hopelessness, despair or would he attack back? David did the wise thing and inquired of the Lord. The answer was clear and emphatic: pursue, overtake, attack, take back and recover all! This is the same answer that the Lord is decreeing to the Church today: "Attack your lack and don't look back!" DON'T LOSE YOUR CONFIDENCE The enemy wants to shake your confidence. You must be bold and believe for the great things God has promised you. David was able to calm himself and seek God and receive the word he needed to hear in order to continue to advance toward his destiny. The enemy wants to rattle your cage and get you off your game but don't let him. Scripture declares: "The God of peace will soon crush satan underneath your feet..." (Romans 16:20). We pursue the Lord first so God's peace will allow us to hear His voice and guide us to victory. DON'T LOSE YOUR HOPE! Hopelessness is a direct attack against the nature of God. The enemy wants to rob our hope of seeing things change or regaining our possessions. We must not shrink back in despair, but rise up in hope and faith. We understand that Christ in us is the very hope of glory and the banner of victory to bring the change God wants. "For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory." - NLT ALBERT FINCH MINISTRY http://afministry.ning.com/
  33. no. pretrib is all I knew when i first got saved and started going to church. one of the members was parroting what the pastor always said... we wont be here for that praise God... i said yeah and we shared a laugh as they announced service was about to begin... take your seats.... as i turned my spirit knotted up, i thought i sinned and i asked God what is it... what did i do so i can repent... i received unction to open my bible... my eyes fixed upon one line that totally debunked pretrib teaching. i stood there confused because at that time i didnt even know mid or post trib teaching existed. i was having a little prayer session and when i looked up everyone was staring at me to take my seat. this i studied, prayerfully studied for over a decade more. all of what i say was shown to me by The Holy Spirit thru His word. there are no pretrib clues. there are some pretrib mis-interpretations and false teachings. i see you were unable to provide where it says the seals are wrath.
  34. A Child A child has wonder in his eyes Each day is a delight Discoveries waiting to be made He takes in each new sight His life is an adventure God's creations to explore Each day is as exciting As the one that went before He doesn't see the ugliness For which the nations fight He doesn't have a color code Of brown or black or white He trusts and does not worry As he basks in carefree play Oh, to be more like him And to look at life that way!
  35. It is always a blessing to hear of such stories! It is true, the Good Samaritans seem to be far and few between. This is a reminder for me to be able and help those that I can see that needs help, instead of just walking away from the situation! Always a quote I find encouragement from: Be The Change You Want To See In The World. In peace
