    Why Pretrib Logic Fails

Hi LL, That is why Jesus referred to His meeting us in the air as a thief in he night.....silent. Not sure where you found a scripture that says that Jesus referred to His meeting us in the air as a thief in the night....silent. It will be anything but silent. 1 Thes 4:16: 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a [a]shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. His voice will command all those in the grave to rise. (the righteous) His voice will reverberate through the whole universe. Then the blast of a trumpet. Here are the scriptures that do refer to Him coming "like a thief": Revelation 16:15 English Standard Version (ESV) 15 (“Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!”) Matthew 24:43 English Standard Version (ESV) 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what part of the night the thief was coming, he would have stayed awake and would not have let his house be broken into. 1 Thessalonians 5:2 English Standard Version (ESV) 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:4 English Standard Version (ESV) 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief. 2 Peter 3:10 English Standard Version (ESV) 10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies[a] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[b] Now look at 1 Thes 5:1-4: 1 Thessalonians 5:1-4 English Standard Version (ESV) The Day of the Lord 5 Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers,[a] you have no need to have anything written to you. 2 For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 3 While people are saying, “There is peace and security,” then sudden destruction will come upon them as labor pains come upon a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you are not in darkness, brothers, for that day to surprise you like a thief." It is not the believers that will be in darkness, but the unbelievers. Paul tells us that we are not in darkness for that day to surprise us like a thief. The "Day of the Lord" will come "like a thief in the night" to the unbelievers only. The Day of the Lord, the Day of God's wrath upon all the unbelievers and sinners, will happen after the celestial/terrestrial disturbances (Joel 2:30-31) after the resurrection and rapture of all the saints. The Great Tribulation, the celestial/terrestrial signs, the resurrection/rapture, the Day (year) of the Lord. In that order. Isaiah tells us in Isaiah vs 34:8, 61:2, and 63:4......that the Day of the Lord will last approx 1 year. ""For the day of vengeance (wrath) was in my heart, and My year of redemption has come" "To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord, and the Day of vengeance (wrath) of our God" "For the Lord has a Day of vengeance (wrath), a year of recompense for the cause of Zion" I don't see anywhere in all of scripture that says the Day of the Lord is 7 years long. (pre-trib speculation). The only way to come up with this is to equate the entire 70th week of Daniel as the Day of the Lord. (which pre-trib does) There is no 7 year Great Tribulation. Not to be found!

    Proverbs-To Learn From

Prov.3 Verses 5 to 6. [5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
  5. This was another sad day in history, don't forget that the Bible warns of those days, they have to happen before Jesus is coming back, everything is eccellerating , look around and see what all ready happened this year,we have to really be aware of the days we live in,people will believe the lie and will be deceived by the spirit of this world, born again Christians might soon face persecution, they will be a hindrance for the NWO. Maranatha,Jesus come!

    Why Pretrib Logic Fails

That is really taking a lot of theologic license, which is outside your pay grade. Who set you up as the almighty standard of truth in these matters? The only reasonable assertion regarding "doctrine of demons" is that which rejects the Messiah and core doctrines that surround the Messiah, like his Sonship in relation to the Father, His being coequal in the Godhead with the Father and the Holy Spirit, His being born of a virgin of the Tribe of Judah as promised, His death, burial, and resurrection as the atonement of man, etc. These topics regarding the end times are not in the same category and using terms like "doctrines of demons" has the only purpose of shutting down meaningful dialogue and marginalizing the participants. I am comfortable in saying this.... it is sin against the brethren. Some of these end times ideas may be in error, but that doesn't mean the concept is doctrinally evil in nature or the individuals who espouse them are acting out of evil malice trying to discredit the truth. And anyone on either side of the issue using the similar tactics as political attacks in the secular world is acting just like those in the world would act. And we are commanded to be of a separate mind than those in the world. But it is to be expected in this day. If one happens to disagree with someone they are either a racist, homophobe, bigot, etc. So now we have come to the point where anyone who might theologically disagree on a nonessential topic in terms of justification and sanctification, and through their own study has arrived at a different conclusion regarding the end times is now espousing doctrine of demons. Well, seems that we have a long way to go. We seem to be a long way from "they will know us by our love for one another".

Question for you all regarding prayer

There was one time that God told me to stop praying for a person. I don't even remember who it was, but my prayers were answered a few months later. Sometimes I am led to to stop praying and start praising God for the answer. There are some subjects that I have greater compassion for the situations than others. It doesn't matter who it is, it has to do with what they are praying for. Often I pray that Gods will be done instead of praying as the people request.
  9. Abortion is the last straw and will not go unpunished. I don't think even full repentance is going to save the USA. Just like in the days of Josiah. He did everything right, but the sins of Manassah was too great. What was that sin? 2 Kings 24:3-4 Surely at the commandment of the LORD came [this] upon Judah, to remove [them] out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did; And also for the innocent blood that he shed: for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood; which the LORD would not pardon. America's days are numbered.
  10. that's part of the reason that people accept abortion...… because we are not telling people what it is really all about.... people need to be forced to understand the barbarism of what really happens.
  11. If ever you were against the legalization of abortion with sincere thought about an unborn child. I highly doubt you would have made hypothetical points to justify such an atrocious act of evil. Hypothetical s should never be used in a court of any sort. And if an official of the courts has taken a bribe they have perverted justice. In a case or discussion with sound judgement medical facts and actual statistics should be a reasoning point. Instead the current lawmakers motives are monetary funding and population control(murder). They may think the liar they worship covers them. But their fruits or lack there of expose them. Blessings Always
  12. I did not really want to post this but it hurts my heart so much that I had to we must do all we can to show America-World this is against human nature and God. I do not know if this will help but I cannot sit by and say nothing and I cannot sit by without including it in my prayer daily. I can see the babies being ripped apart inside the mom trying to cry with mouths wide open but not having the ability to make a noise. After that I am speechless!
  13. I don't really like "What If" questions, but abortion breaks my heart, so why not say something. I believe one of His first words would be "You shall not murder." (Exodus 20:13). Then He may remind them of how they used to pass their children through fire and how it was an abomination, as when the Sepharvites burned their children to their false gods (2 Kings 17:31) and how King Ahaz worshiped Baals by burning his children in fire (2 Chronicles 28:1-4). This, to me, would be where He may start.

    Self Esteem Really Long....

Hi, Kenzie! I was really surprised by your first sentence, especially this part: First of all, it is soooo normal to have some self-esteem issues at the age of 16! If it seems to you that others don't, it's probably only because they just aren't as open about theirs as you have been with us. Second, you are struggling not with how others see you, but with how you see yourself. There is a great song by Lauren Daigle called You Say that you should listen to. I'm sure you can find it on YouTube. It's a song about all the negative things we say about ourselves contrasted with what God says. And isn't His opinion waaaay more important than anyone else's? (I'll post this song in the Christian music section, but it may take a few hours to show up.) I am so sorry that you had to endure being bullied. I'm sure it was hurtful and humiliating; and I'm sure you will never forget those awful times. But that experience does not have to be wasted. You survived it! God was with you through it all, making you stronger, creating compassion and perseverance in you. Maybe you will be needed in His future plans for you to rescue or comfort another victim of the same kind of thing. Getting a job was a really positive step in the right direction for helping to build your confidence. You say that you don't feel like God hears you, but have you considered that perhaps it was HE who made sure that job opportunity was open to you? I KNOW he hears your prayers, just as I know He will hear my prayers for you tonight! One of my favorite scriptures is Psalm 56:8--"You number my wanderings; put my tears into Your bottle; are they not in Your book?" Just imagine--you are so precious to God that he pays close attention to yourcomings and goings, and He cares so much about what hurts your heart that He lovingly collects your tears. He knows EVERYTHING about you and has created a plan just for you. If you have Him at the head of your life, no matter what happens to you, it will turn out for your good. His plan is for you to put Him first, to love and serve others, to be salt and light in a world that is not perfect. I am CERTAIN that this world is at the very least a little better because He put you exactly where you are "for such a time as this" (Esther 4:14). Stand on His promises with me; the best is yet to be! I will be praying for you, Kenzie!

    Self Esteem Really Long....

Oh my goodness, sweet one! The very first time I saw you (when you had the other picture of "you"), I smiled real big and thought, "what a beautiful young lady!" Your smile drew me in...and then, I saw your name! Oh what a cute name! Oh, Kenzie, if you would just smile at everyone you see at school and try to make conversations with some of the kids, I just know they'd like you! Being different is cool!... don't you know that? I'll bet some of the other girls might be just a teeny bit envious of your appearance and cute clothes. Just be you and reach out and see if others don't react to your friendliness and beautiful smile. You'll see!!! Oh Father, let Kenzie know how beautiful she is, inside (especially) and out! In Jesus' name...Amen! Selah
