  1. We never rely on the way we feel. We always rely on God's word. God does not lie. He cannot lie. Satan is the father of lies. So if what you feel disagrees with God's word, it is a lie! Over and over God has told us He will never leave us or forsake us. Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Amen. Heb 13:5 Let your character or moral disposition be free from love of money [including greed, avarice, lust, and craving for earthly possessions] and be satisfied with your present [circumstances and with what you have]; for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] [Jos 1:5]

  3. @Vince I'm being real with you here. The issues you finally stated with the Bible are literally the most common objections to God. All of which I covered in my original posts, including the more in depth discussion you and I had about the inductive principle (upon which we did ultimately agree). While you argue it doesn't prove God, I would argue that it renders the no God worldview as unable to support it's assumptions. So where does that leave you? What great faith it takes to continue believing we just haven't figured it out yet! It is figured it out, brother. It's God. And His revelation to us is the Bible. If you want to reason together, you can pm me anytime. I will listen, I will talk, I will pray... I will do anything to help a brother build his trust in God. I mean it. It is never comfortable to have your worldview shaken. I get that.

  4. Sure we can, ...how do I know God exists, ...He has changed me from the inside out, I'm not the same man I used to be after I believed the gospel message and prayed that simple prayer of faith to receive Jesus into my heart, ...don't believe me, no evidence? Just ask the people that knew me before I was converted, regenerated, born again ...the American jurisprudence system uses witnesses to determine the truth, ...just ask the people I have hurt, cheated, betrayed their trust if I'm a changed man, ...if it's sufficient for a court of law... However, I doubt this will be enough for you to believe, ...because you are relying on asking other people if God exists instead of asking Him yourself! Also, I know you know God exists by the simple fact of what you have written, ...no one can argue any point without first knowing the truth, ...prove it for us, tell us what you can't see, touch, handle doesn't exist, example, gravity, radio waves, atomic matter, you can't see, touch, handle them, you can argue they don't exist, ...but you know they do exist. So, the real question here is, "Why are you so mad at God?" You have mistakenly accused Him for what someone else has done to you, ...but that's okay, He loves you, He is waiting with open arms to receive you back, He doesn't hold any resentment against you, He just wants you to return to Him before it's too late, time is short, very short, ...do it today, ...today could be your day of Salvation. Lord bless

  5. *This* is a pure, unadulterated nugget of gold right here. It literally boils down everything the Lord has been teaching you into it's simplest form. Thank you for you faithfulness and steadfastness in what the Lord has called you to do, knowing that you *will* be as strongly opposed and attacked ... exactly as Jesus said we would be.

  6. F of 80, my question to you is, "Why don't you want to pick up the Bible and read it, and why don't you want to pray (talk) to God?" Is it that you don't "feel" like it, my suggestion is the same as those who previously said that we're not to rely on our "feelings" as they can so easily deceive us. We walk not by "feelings," but by faith. One other thing I don't understand is what does "Idk" mean, though I think I may just have cracked it, " I don't know," maybe? My honest opinion is that the more you focus on self, the more introverted you become, which can lead to depression. The answer then is to not look into yourself, but to focus outward, pick up your Bible read it, believe it, walk it, live it. Then you will have a more positive outlook on life and then watch your whole attitude change for the better. As always, I hope this helps, God bless.

  8. Great to see you again, @TomatoHorse! I knew that wasn't going to be the last of you. Call it a conviction. Thank you for the kind words. I assure you I'm neither intelligent nor well read! Firstly, I leave how we move forward entirely up to you, my friend. I find that pm is generally easier for genuine conversation because you aren't interrupted by what we saw earlier today when people are just slinging words back and forth. I almost missed your post, as a matter of fact. But, if you wish to keep this a public spectacle, I'm cool with that too. After all, it was me who made the thread in the first place, so I was definitely prepared to defend it. Secondly, after reading your response, I think I need to take a moment and make sure we are on the same page about some stuff. ALL foundational assumptions are circular in nature. I'm under no illusion that mine isn't (it seemed as though that was where you were headed with your questioning, so I want to be clear I'm not hiding from it). It's impossible to avoid. It's just that the Christian worldview (assuming the ultimate authority of the Bible) is the only one which is able to support itself. No other worldview can account for the preconditions of intelligibility. I think this is where Vince and I got sideways. He wanted me to reason to God (evidential approach). I can't do that. The Bible tells me that everyone knows God already. I refuse to place myself as the lawyer presenting evidence while someone else places themselves as the judge, determining whether or not the evidence proves God. Who do we think we are? Everyone knows in their heart of hearts that God exists. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Romans 1:19‭-‬21 Even Gentiles, who do not have God’s written law, show that they know his law when they instinctively obey it, even without having heard it. They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. Romans 2:14‭-‬15 And they will not need to teach their neighbors, nor will they need to teach their relatives, saying, ‘You should know the Lord .’ For everyone, from the least to the greatest, will know me already,” says the Lord . “And I will forgive their wickedness, and I will never again remember their sins.” Jeremiah 31:34 Because of this, I cannot reason to God, I can only reason from God. It is only when a Christian stands on the Word of God as the ultimate authority that our ability to know anything is accounted for. No other worldview can do this. No other worldview can account for logic, uniformity in nature or absolute morality (which is why it doesn't eat itself under scrutiny like other worldviews do). It certainly takes faith to stand on the Word of God with the whole world telling you exactly what Vince did... We don't know where those things (preconditions of intelligibility) come from and that's ok. Give us enough time and we'll figure it out! But it's definitely not your Bible! It's called rational faith, not blind faith as some preach you must have to be accepted by God. So, I stand on my presupposition (ultimate authority of the Bible) and I briefly step into the opposing worldview to show that, under scrutiny, it breaks down into absurdity. It is in this that we find the proof of God as it rests in the impossibility of the contrary. But, you must start with God. Dr. Lisle coined this approach the answer, don't answer strategy. It stems from Proverbs 26: 4&5. It's interesting to note that Jesus used this very same strategy when He was confronted with criticism. Quick example (sorry if you aren't interested in this): Then Jesus went over to their synagogue, where he noticed a man with a deformed hand. The Pharisees asked Jesus, “Does the law permit a person to work by healing on the Sabbath?” (They were hoping he would say yes, so they could bring charges against him.) And he answered, “If you had a sheep that fell into a well on the Sabbath, wouldn’t you work to pull it out? Of course you would. And how much more valuable is a person than a sheep! Yes, the law permits a person to do good on the Sabbath.” Matthew 12:9‭-‬12 Notice how they accuse Jesus here, then He simply steps into their worldview to show them how nonsensical they were being? It's fascinating to me. This was all kind of a long winded side note to say, yes I realize all worldviews are circular, including the Christian worldview. It's inevitable. I'll work on answering your objections as my time comes available. Take care.

  9. I've heard some in the church call the results of the global deception, Representative Theory of Perception, which translated for me in lay language, it's, ...ignore known facts and Truth and create your own reality and when faced with irrefutable known facts and/or Truth resort to screaming at the top of your lungs and and calling people names!

  10. Thank you! I'm so very blessed that my measly attempt to put into words the true Glory of God in all things has inspired others. When we stand on the Ultimate authority of the Bible and put all other assumptions to the test, they reduce to nonsense. Some characters get great joy out of doing what you saw in this thread. The story keeps changing, then the accusations start when each new story is trumped by God's foundation. It almost always goes the same way so it's important to know when to stop. I think they'd go on forever if you let it! I always pray over my posts to be sure that I'm following His lead. But remember, the Lord says that accusations are blessings (Matthew 5:11). ?

  11. Let me tell you a little secret ... every single christian is far from trustful and faithful. We have *all* failed Him ... repeatedly. But when we fall, we get back up, dust ourselves off, and get back to running our race in such a way as to win the prize. Now we have to stand on that ... I do it like so ... Father God, I confess my sin to You; I repent of it and ask You to forgive me and cleans me according to Your Word. I thank You and praise You that You *are* faithful and just to cleans me from *all* of my unrighteousness. Thank You, Lord ... in Jesus' Name. Amen.

  12. What does it mean that God is not mocked? To mock God is to disrespect, dishonor, or ignore Him. It is a serious offense committed by those who have no fear of God or who deny His existence. The most easily recognized form of mockery is disrespect typified by verbal insults or other acts of disdain. It is associated with ridicule, scoffing, and defiance. Mockery is a dishonoring attitude that shows low estimation, contempt, or even open hostility. In the Bible mockery is a behavior and attitude shown by the fool (Psalm 74:22 , the wicked (Psalm 1:1), the enemy (Psalm 74:10), the hater of knowledge (Proverbs 1:22; 13:1), the proud (Psalm 119:51; Isaiah 37:17), and the unteachable (Proverbs 15:12). A mocker goes beyond mere lack of judgment to making a conscious decision for evil. Mockers are without a spirit of obedience, teachability, discernment, wisdom, worship, or faith. Those who mock God will mock the people of God as well. The prophet Jeremiah "became the laughingstock of all my people" and was mocked "in song all day long" (Lamentations 3:14). Mockery of God's prophets was commonplace (2 Chronicles 36:16). Nehemiah was mocked by his enemies (Nehemiah 2:19). Elisha was mocked by the youths of Bethel (2 Kings 2:23). And of course our Lord Jesus was mocked—by Herod and his soldiers (Luke 23:11), by the Roman soldiers (Mark 15:20; Luke 23:36), by a thief on a cross (Luke 23:39), and by the Jewish leaders who passed by the cross (Matthew 27:41). It is easy for us as believers to point the finger at those outside the church who mock God. But the most subtle mockery of God, and the most dangerous, comes from those of us sitting in church. We are guilty of mockery when we behave with an outward show of spirituality or godliness without an inward engagement or change of heart. Charles G. Finney, a preacher in the 1800s, wrote about the effects of mocking God: "To mock God is to pretend to love and serve him when we do not; to act in a false manner, to be insincere and hypocritical in our professions, pretending to obey him, love, serve, and worship him, when we do not. . . . Mocking God grieves the Holy Spirit, and sears the conscience; and thus the bands of sin become stronger and stronger. The heart becomes gradually hardened by such a process." God warns that mockery of what is holy will be punished. Zephaniah predicted the downfall of Moab and Ammon, saying, "This is what they will get in return for their pride, for insulting and mocking the people of the LORD Almighty" (Zephaniah 2:10). Isaiah 28:22 warns that mockery will cause the chains of Judah's sin to become stronger and that destruction will follow. Proverbs 3:34 says that God will mock the mocker but give favor to the humble and oppressed. Second Kings 2:24 records the punishment that befell the youths who jeered Elisha. This is what it means that God is not mocked. There are repercussions for ignoring God's directives and willfully choosing sin. Adam and Eve tried and brought sorrow and death into the world (Genesis 2:15–17; 3:6, 24). Ananias and Sapphira's deception brought about a swift and public judgment (Acts 5:1–11). Galatians 6:7 states a universal principle: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." God cannot be deceived (Hebrews 4:12–13). Achan's sin (Joshua 7) and Jonah's flight (Jonah 1) were not unknown to God. Jesus' repeated words to every church in Revelation 2—3 were, "I know your works." We only deceive ourselves when we think our attitudes and actions are not seen by an all-powerful and all-knowing God. The Bible shows us the way to live a blessed life, sometimes by the good examples of godly men and women and sometimes by the negative examples of those who choose to follow another path. Psalm 1:1–3 says, "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers." Psalm 74:22 22 Arise, O God, defend your cause; remember how the foolish scoff at you all the day! Psalm 1:1 The Way of the Righteous and the Wicke1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; Psalm 74:10 10 How long, O God, is the foe to scoff? Is the enemy to revile your name forever? Proverbs 13:1 A wise son hears his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. Psalm 119:51 51 The insolent utterly deride me,but I do not turn away from your law. Lamentations 3:14 14 I have become the laughingstock of all peoples, the object of their taunts all day long 2 Chronicles 36:16 16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy. Nehemiah 2:19 19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” 2 Kings 2:23 23 He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” Luke 23:11 11 And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, arraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate. Mark 15:20 20 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him. Luke 23:39 39 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” Matthew 27:41 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, Zephaniah 2:10 10 This shall be their lot in return for their pride, because they taunted and boasted against the people of the Lord of hosts. Isaiah 28:22 22 Now, therefore, do not scoff, lest your bonds be made strong;for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord God of hosts against the whole land. Proverbs 3:34 34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor. 2 Kings 2:24 24 And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. Genesis 2:15–17 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you Genesis 3:6 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:24 24 He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life. Acts 5:1–11 5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has … Galatians 6:7 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Hebrews 4:12–13 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked … Joshua 7:1–26 7 But the people of Israel broke faith in regard to the devoted things, for Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. 13. The Eighth Chapter of Romans describes the identification of the two types of humanity: those who walk “after the flesh”; and those who walk “after the Spirit” (v 1). I think this discussion should begin with what Paul may have intended to mean by “walk after.” One might interpret this to relate to how one lives and another, how one desires to live, that is, we can seek to live according to the Spirit of God, but desire and do are not the same because the former leads to the latter. Initially all reborn (since the days of the Apostles) are at the “babe in Christ” (1Cor 3:1) point of maturity and begin to grow into “Christ’s image” by manifesting the desire for “the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby” (1Pe 2:2). Though the primary objective of redemption in the Lord Jesus is fully complete (salvation does not admit in degrees) at rebirth, “growing up into Him in all things” (Eph 4:15) is God’s work of “conformation” (Rom 8:29; 2Co 3:18) for the remnant of our earthly lives. One who is reborn will soon become aware of an ominous presence “to will and to do of His good pleasure” (Phl 2:13). Scripture teaches the reality of this presence (new nature or new man) is genuine in the fact that this overwhelming desire to please God, though repeatedly interrupted within believers, ever remains with them (Mat 24:13; Heb 10:38). Therefore, from rebirth to our rest or rapture, believers are continually manifesting by their lives a walk and desire after the Spirit. Those who are unregenerate cannot “walk after the Spirit,” nor can those regenerated “walk after the flesh.” The intention of the word “walk” is in reference to that which one seeks above all things. Though there will be times of sin in the lives of the believers due to their indwelling of old man, their overall desire is to please God. This defines walking after the Spirit, which will be manifested in the lifestyles of the saints. The Lord Jesus proclaimed that “a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit” (Luke 6:43). He also indicated “Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt (Mat 12:33). James reiterated this when he wrote that “Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter . . . . So can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh (3:11, 12). Seeking to live according to the sin nature (flesh) reveals domination of the old man and therefore manifests one who has not been redeemed. Being free from the “reign” and dominion” of sin (Rom 6:12, 14) to me means the old man can no longer cause the believer to "sin willfully" (Heb 10:26), or intentionally “serve sin” (Rom 7:25). The will and desire of the saints to please God supersedes the desires of the old man in them, for God considers them being after the Spirit, as they “are not after the flesh” (Rom 8:9). No believer can live after the flesh and after the Spirit. I think most of the confusion here lies with the deceptiveness of imitation. One can appear to be after the Spirit, but cannot continue to do so permanently if not reborn! As it is known, “Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light,” and that which false professors do will eventually be made manifest “according to their works” (2Co 11:14, 15). If those reborn can “be carnally minded,” they abide in “death,” which not only conflicts with “to be spiritually minded is life” (8:6, 13), but also with the Lord’s declaration of “whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die” (Jhn 11:26).

  19. We put a lot of emphasis on the Old Testament Ten Commandments, but really God gave Moses and the Jews many more commandments. In the New Testament, Jesus gave us two Commandments greater than all the rest. The Great Commandment (or Greatest Commandment) is a name used in the New Testament to describe the first of two commandments cited by Jesus in Matthew 22:35–40 and Mark 12:28–34.

  21. Personally, I got rid of anything that had to do with other religions or the occult shortly after I started walking with God. My grandfather was not a Christian but had practiced the occult, and I wanted to serve only the Living God and wanted nothing to do with other religions. That is what I felt I needed to do to express my single love for God. However, that is not something everyone has to do. If you were once involved in the occult or other religions then you might consider getting rid of those symbols etc. Otherwise I have to agree with Other One.

  22. Christians are the body of christ. Going to church mostly means meeting at a building with a pastor and maybe elders. Who teach the word of God. It should be a place of fellowship. And acceptance for all believers in Jesus Christ. Not all churchs are good or the same. One needs to find one that follows christ and the bible.

King David, declared by Yahweh to be "a man after God's Own Heart" (not many of those today, eh?) , Chosen by Yahweh and anointed to be King, also 'fell' into sin "after the flesh" (very many of those today) , and was forgiven entirely (though suffered severe consequences).... Balaam told the enemy army leader how to get Israel cursed by God. The same tactic has been used for thousands of years, and still works, to get Christians cursed, or fallen into sin.

  27. the spiritual side of dream catchers has to do with keeping evil/dark spirits away from a person while they sleep... I think the Holy Spirit takes care of that for a Christian. I think I can safely say that nothing is going to interfere with your prayers no matter what.... While I'm very leery of anything that is made to interfere with the spirit world I don't see any real serious problem with a catcher just being in the attic unless you are using it for it's intended purpose. We should not be using anything of that nature.... Pray about it and let the Spirit tell you what to do.... if it bothers her at all, she should get rid of it.

  28. Repentance and confession of sin to Him *always* reopens the door of communication. God's Word has many promises ... here are just two of them ... and While looking those two up, He just gave me yet another one for you ... A few more things which have helped me with lack of faith is to read the Scriptures out loud [faith cometh by hearing, hearing by the Word of God]. Finding Scriptures that relate to my situation and praying them back to Him ... doing this out lout also contributes to the hearing referred to above. Okay ... He is also giving me this Scripture ... Whenever I am having difficulty with my thoughts being contrary to the Word of God, I have used this Scripture as a prayer ... like so ... Father God, in the Name of Jesus, though I walk in the flesh, I do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of my warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses. I am destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and I take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Other times, I rebuke, renounce and reject *every* thought which does not line up with the WOrd and the Will of God. Then I start confessing what Scripture does say ... for example ... "I can do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens me." Above all ... I just want to encourage you and exhort you not to give up; don't believe the lies of the devil ... put on every single piece of the armor of God [Ephesians 6 starting in verse 10], then use that shielf of faith to quench *every* firery dart of the enemy ... and when you have done all that you can, then just stand ... in Him ... and on His Word. Stay strong friend. You are not alone; and He will *never* forsake you. God Bless,

I am just a bit sad that I am disappointing God since He does not like divorce/separation. I also have a money crunch and do not know how longer I can stay in my rented apartment. Please pray that I may grow in my job and make enough to support myself and my mother. Blessings

  30. Hi Faithful heart! I feel your pain! My husband has many misplaced affections and struggles in his faith walk. Although what he has told you is not biblical, I encourage you to quietly encourage your husband to peruse Christ’s will with your loving actions. The Lord has shown me and is continuing to work on my heart and I know although I can pin point places where my husband needs to grow, I honestly cannot change him. Only God can. Check out the following video: The peaceful wife is a great resource for Christian women looking to influence their husbands towards Christ. As I give my afflictions specifically related to my marriage to our great God, I’m seeing Jesus work in my husband. I can’t see everything behind the scenes, but I know as my husband hears God he is impacted. Jesus changes our thinking and your husband if he is a follower of Christ will see his error in his thinking. I encourage you to pray for your husband daily and pour your desires out to the Lord. He is faithful and wants to fulfill the desires of those who follow in righteousness. Try not to be bitter...we are all broken and have things the Lord wants us to work out. Your husband placing you after his mother is something God will work out in his heart. Stay strong sister and I’m here if you want to talk. Feel free to message me! You are not alone! Lord, I ask you to touch faithful heart. Give her your peace and wisdom. Help her to love and lead as a wife should as outlined in 1 Peter 3. Give her 1 Corinthians 13 love for her husband and help her to live as the example you want her to live and model Christ in her home. I ask that she put you before everything else and give her husband grace as you have given him and her. Be with this couple. Heal her heart and help her to seek you in all things and remember you are working everything for her and her husband’s good. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen

  31. I found this; Gal. 6:7, Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Mocked, Gr. Mukterizomai, to turn up the nose at. Cp. Luke 16:14.

  32. I think Paul summed it up best. Romans 8:38 For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. God hears your prayers, but His timing is not our timing. The answer is sometimes yes, sometimes no, and sometimes wait. Do I think or believe a dreamcatcher can somehow make God deaf to your voice? Absolutely not. If it makes you feel better, go through the attic and discard it, if it is still even in your home. I don't think it matters one way or the other, but if it eases your mind that is a solution. God bless

  34. May I suggest you talk this over with him, expressing that his priorities need to change and if he disagrees arange marriage councelling with your pastor. As the bible says, a Man shall leave his parrents and join with his wife and the two become one. Is he a Man or a mummies boy who has never let go of the apron strings.

  35. 42 “Make linen undergarments as a covering for the body, reaching from the waist to the thigh. 43 Aaron and his sons must wear them whenever they enter the tent of meeting or approach the altar to minister in the Holy Place, so that they will not incur guilt and die. “This is to be a lasting ordinance for Aaron and his descendants. The sash is to be the work of an embroiderer. 40 Make tunics, sashes and caps for Aaron’s sons to give them dignity and honor. 41 After you put these clothes on your brother Aaron and his sons, anoint and ordain them. Consecrate them so they may serve me as priests. (Exodus 28: 39-41)

It will be on Aaron’s forehead continually so that they will be acceptable to the Lord. (Exodus 28: 36-38)

  38. 33 Make pomegranates of blue, purple and scarlet yarn around the hem of the robe, with gold bells between them. 34 The gold bells and the pomegranates are to alternate around the hem of the robe. 35 Aaron must wear it when he ministers. The sound of the bells will be heard when he enters the Holy Place before the Lord and when he comes out, so that he will not die. (Exodus 28:33-35)

  40. Yes, Remember in Corinthians when many were sick and dying ? So much more so now, today, in the USA. Is this not already "judgment", or rather call it "consequences" of sin , and of "lack of knowledge" (of truth).?

  41. Shalom turtle, For me an "Aha/wow" moment came to me when considering what Paul wrote in Romans about why the Torah was brought into the world: To increase transgressions so that mercy could abound even more. I got to mediating on this matter... So, the more sins we make, the more we are forgiven - but why? Well, so the Father can show his mercy to us... But why would he want to show us his mercy in abundance? Maybe to show how much love he has to give us. Then it hit me... Maybe this is the same reason that we exist! Imagine the Father, The Son and The Spirit together before the world began. All of them unified in love and abundant in love but with no subjects to pour their immense love into. Our Father may have been craving to show his great, great love with uncountable multitudes, numerous as the stars He set in place. That love would be shown to be even greater if those subjects didn't deserve it. It would be even greater still if he would give His Son to justify those subjects freely. What other motive would there be, but love. Great, great love. So, should we sin more so that his love can be shown even greater still? No. But by serving him in body and spirit we are giving him our love back in thanksgiving for His. As little as it is in comparison to His love, I'm sure he treasures it, just like how amazingly the Prodigal Son's father reacts. PRAISE YAHWEH FOREVER AND EVER! Love & Shalom

  42. My wife and I have traveled the entire country for the past 15 years on very long driving vacations to see the whole country.... I have met many more Christians all over than unbelievers. While our government has been dark from the very beginning I don't personally believe the general citizenship of the country is nearly as bad as the main stream media would have us believe... There are physical areas that need God's intervention but I don't see the whole country being judged and destroyed... I know a lot of Christians in the Blue counties of California and all along the west coast and in most of the State of New York.... If the rapture happened tonight I think people will be shocked as to the low number of Americans left behind

  43. I do believe that chances are that both will happen... a bit if judgement may well open some eyes. Christianity seems to grow more when it's being persecuted.

  44. After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, After these things I saw, and behold, a great multitude, which no man could number, out of every nation and of [all] tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, arrayed in white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 and they cry with a great voice, saying, Salvation unto our God who sitteth on the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels were standing round about the throne, and [about] the elders and the four living creatures; and they fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honor, and power, and might, [be] unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, These that are arrayed in white robes, who are they, and whence came they? 14 And I say unto him, My lord, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they that come of the great tribulation, and they washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. There will be a big revival during the Tribulation but those new born again Christians will be persecuted and killed and are standing around the throne of God , today is the day of Salvation . God is still saving people and in countries like Iran is there is revival right now!

  45. I believe we are all on the same page. I don't think any of us are happy and dancing during trials. Jesus prayed that we would have His joy a few hours before being arrested and right before that He prayed "if there be any other way." But for the joy set before Him, He endured the cross. "His joy", I'm thinking, isn't singing and dancing with smiles and happiness. It can include that but more along the lines of faith in "all things work 'together' for the better" and that He has an expected end for us all.

  46. Sorry, folks, I am just not as spiritual as Peter James and Paul, and many of you. I don't rejoice when trials come. Yes there is rejoicing and worship in the midst of them because my God is worthy. But I still dread them and resist them. They are exhausting and often overwhelming. I know God loves me and will use them for my good. He will use me to comfort others going through the same afflictions. Counting it all joy is just not where I am at. Knowing that God does all things well and is doing what is best is somewhat comforting. He is a kind and merciful God. He walks with me through them and comforts me, but I don't enjoy physical pain or emotional pain and loss. It is called suffering for a reason.

  47. There is no one righteous, not even one, unless that righteousness was received as a gift of grace from God. Our righteousness is as filthy rags! We get to Heaven based in His righteousness, not our righteousness!

  49. I don't think any man or group of men is capable of doing anything to bring unity to the Body. And thank God I don't need to. Our unity (and John 17 is a literally breathtaking view of it) is IN HIM. All I have to do or CAN do is present myself to His presence and let Him manifest my "oneness" with HIM. When He gets that where it needs to be, I in Him and you in Him, "our" oneness is already a done deal. Trying to get "us" to manifest oneness in the Body is just an exercise in the flesh, and will produce nothing good. I am commanded to love, seek peace with and serve you, but that's not unity ...oneness. It might help a lot of things but manifesting unity is something only He can do. Focus on Him. He'll take care of the rest.
