  1. Ah.... Well, I will give you what I feel is the correct answer. But I won't ask you to eat the banana sandwich. Too much against you truly enjoying it. I'm not sure even eating it in the dark will compensate for all the whiteness of it all! To me the key sentence is the last one: Because I go unto my Father. I believe that this verse is a promise and a prophecy. It was only partially fulfilled within the time of the early church. There is no denying there were mighty miracles at that time. Yet, I believe that the Lord is going to be very Mighty for man as we draw near to his return. There will be a great revival and many will turn their hearts to the Lord. Mankind is going to see mighty things that man has never seen before. We are living in the most exciting times of mankind and so much is going to happen. I pray Jeremiah 33:3 and claim that promise and know I will see it come to fruition. Thanks for reminding me.

  4. Praise the LORD , I am dancing with joy cause my mountain of sin was covered by the blood of Christ . That's right , THE JOY of the LORD is my strength and the SALVATION of the LORD my JOY . WE GOT ALL HOPE . Don't know how to make that any clearer . But be on guard many deceivers abound and many walk in darkness . Were it not for the Grace of GOD , I would still be in that darkness . As I said , WE GOT ALL HOPE . Hands up , and throw praises up unto the LORD . And let all who name the name of Christ , stay as far away from rome and her influence and any and all who preach the DELUSOIN of the all inclusion . YEP , I named it . For its what it is .

  5. What does it mean that God is not mocked? To mock God is to disrespect, dishonor, or ignore Him. It is a serious offense committed by those who have no fear of God or who deny His existence. The most easily recognized form of mockery is disrespect typified by verbal insults or other acts of disdain. It is associated with ridicule, scoffing, and defiance. Mockery is a dishonoring attitude that shows low estimation, contempt, or even open hostility. In the Bible mockery is a behavior and attitude shown by the fool (Psalm 74:22 , the wicked (Psalm 1:1), the enemy (Psalm 74:10), the hater of knowledge (Proverbs 1:22; 13:1), the proud (Psalm 119:51; Isaiah 37:17), and the unteachable (Proverbs 15:12). A mocker goes beyond mere lack of judgment to making a conscious decision for evil. Mockers are without a spirit of obedience, teachability, discernment, wisdom, worship, or faith. Those who mock God will mock the people of God as well. The prophet Jeremiah "became the laughingstock of all my people" and was mocked "in song all day long" (Lamentations 3:14). Mockery of God's prophets was commonplace (2 Chronicles 36:16). Nehemiah was mocked by his enemies (Nehemiah 2:19). Elisha was mocked by the youths of Bethel (2 Kings 2:23). And of course our Lord Jesus was mocked—by Herod and his soldiers (Luke 23:11), by the Roman soldiers (Mark 15:20; Luke 23:36), by a thief on a cross (Luke 23:39), and by the Jewish leaders who passed by the cross (Matthew 27:41). It is easy for us as believers to point the finger at those outside the church who mock God. But the most subtle mockery of God, and the most dangerous, comes from those of us sitting in church. We are guilty of mockery when we behave with an outward show of spirituality or godliness without an inward engagement or change of heart. Charles G. Finney, a preacher in the 1800s, wrote about the effects of mocking God: "To mock God is to pretend to love and serve him when we do not; to act in a false manner, to be insincere and hypocritical in our professions, pretending to obey him, love, serve, and worship him, when we do not. . . . Mocking God grieves the Holy Spirit, and sears the conscience; and thus the bands of sin become stronger and stronger. The heart becomes gradually hardened by such a process." God warns that mockery of what is holy will be punished. Zephaniah predicted the downfall of Moab and Ammon, saying, "This is what they will get in return for their pride, for insulting and mocking the people of the LORD Almighty" (Zephaniah 2:10). Isaiah 28:22 warns that mockery will cause the chains of Judah's sin to become stronger and that destruction will follow. Proverbs 3:34 says that God will mock the mocker but give favor to the humble and oppressed. Second Kings 2:24 records the punishment that befell the youths who jeered Elisha. This is what it means that God is not mocked. There are repercussions for ignoring God's directives and willfully choosing sin. Adam and Eve tried and brought sorrow and death into the world (Genesis 2:15–17; 3:6, 24). Ananias and Sapphira's deception brought about a swift and public judgment (Acts 5:1–11). Galatians 6:7 states a universal principle: "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." God cannot be deceived (Hebrews 4:12–13). Achan's sin (Joshua 7) and Jonah's flight (Jonah 1) were not unknown to God. Jesus' repeated words to every church in Revelation 2—3 were, "I know your works." We only deceive ourselves when we think our attitudes and actions are not seen by an all-powerful and all-knowing God. The Bible shows us the way to live a blessed life, sometimes by the good examples of godly men and women and sometimes by the negative examples of those who choose to follow another path. Psalm 1:1–3 says, "Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers." Psalm 74:22 22 Arise, O God, defend your cause; remember how the foolish scoff at you all the day! Psalm 1:1 The Way of the Righteous and the Wicke1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; Psalm 74:10 10 How long, O God, is the foe to scoff? Is the enemy to revile your name forever? Proverbs 13:1 A wise son hears his father’s instruction, but a scoffer does not listen to rebuke. Psalm 119:51 51 The insolent utterly deride me,but I do not turn away from your law. Lamentations 3:14 14 I have become the laughingstock of all peoples, the object of their taunts all day long 2 Chronicles 36:16 16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy. Nehemiah 2:19 19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite servant and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they jeered at us and despised us and said, “What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?” 2 Kings 2:23 23 He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” Luke 23:11 11 And Herod with his soldiers treated him with contempt and mocked him. Then, arraying him in splendid clothing, he sent him back to Pilate. Mark 15:20 20 And when they had mocked him, they stripped him of the purple cloak and put his own clothes on him. And they led him out to crucify him. Luke 23:39 39 One of the criminals who were hanged railed at him, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us!” Matthew 27:41 41 So also the chief priests, with the scribes and elders, mocked him, saying, Zephaniah 2:10 10 This shall be their lot in return for their pride, because they taunted and boasted against the people of the Lord of hosts. Isaiah 28:22 22 Now, therefore, do not scoff, lest your bonds be made strong;for I have heard a decree of destruction from the Lord God of hosts against the whole land. Proverbs 3:34 34 Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he gives favor. 2 Kings 2:24 24 And he turned around, and when he saw them, he cursed them in the name of the Lord. And two she-bears came out of the woods and tore forty-two of the boys. Genesis 2:15–17 15 The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you Genesis 3:6 6 So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate. Genesis 3:24 24 He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life. Acts 5:1–11 5 But a man named Ananias, with his wife Sapphira, sold a piece of property, 2 and with his wife’s knowledge he kept back for himself some of the proceeds and brought only a part of it and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has … Galatians 6:7 7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. Hebrews 4:12–13 12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And no creature is hidden from his sight, but all are naked … Joshua 7:1–26 7 But the people of Israel broke faith in regard to the devoted things, for Achan the son of Carmi, son of Zabdi, son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. And the anger of the Lord burned against the people of Israel. Jonah 1:1–17 1 Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the son of Amittai, saying, 2 “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and call out against it, for their evil has come up before me.” 3 But Jonah rose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Revelation 2:1–3:22 2 “To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. 2 “ ‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those Psalm 1:1–3 1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night. https://www.gotquestions.org/God-is-not-mocked.html

  20. Note: Lately cannot find an alignment option. God bless! Upon encountering the title of this article one’s first thought might seem negative about it, but with all who become “born again” there is a period of growth that involves learning in the Word of God about the “old man,” which is the sin nature first seen in Adam and Eve, then in the entirety of their progeny—mankind (Rom 5:12-19). Upon rebirth the soul becomes “spiritually minded,” due to the imparting of the Spirit of God and the new nature (new man); and the old man continues to become more obviously identifiable so that we can continue to be taught by it—through the contrast of it with the new man! Thus, it’s our position in Christ that will mature our walk in Christ, as the carnality will be seen to progressively decrease, as our spirituality increases, thereby maturing from a carnal Christian to a spiritual Christian (1Co 3:1); which within the last few generations requires much time due to the multitude of errant Biblical doctrines, resulting (in my opinion) from the lack of fundamental spiritual-growth-centered teachings (and just not enough Word-time reading and studying). Thus there now coexists two natures in the soul of the believer, the old man and the new man; and through these both God’s school of godliness is taught, by which those reborn will all “be conformed to the image of His Son” (Rom 8:29), and thereby “grow up into Him in all things” (Eph 4:15). All believers will pass through the “babe-in-Christ” stage (1Co 3:1), for though Christ is in you at rebirth, He is in not yet “formed in you” (Gal 4:19), that is, “unto a perfect man” (mature-in-Christ Eph 4:13), which concerns our “walk” or lifestyle. Redemption-wise believers are complete in Christ, which the lifestyle will manifest more all the time of what we already are in Christ. As long as we are presently earthly bound we can never be completely free of carnality, which always remains to some degree or another, due to the indwelling of the old man; but this has no effect on our fully redemptive position in Christ, only on our growth in the strength of our faith. “Through faith,” grace came to us, and it is through the strengthening of our faith (only via the studying of Word of God by His Spirit) that we are able to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus, the Christ” (2Pe 3:18).

BTW is anyone who has heard the gospel from Kenneth condemned to hell; or Paula White for that matter.... the President has done more to protect the Christians in this country than any president in my lifetime. The president is not much different than any of my protestant friends.... so are all of them bad too. I would think people would give the president a little time to mature a bit in his Christian walk before condemning him so.

  23. The oddest treat I have endured was a packet of New Hampshire pine sap tar rolled in corn meal that I once bought when I was a rebellious ten or eleven year old. Tastes like turpentine and wood chips. Has the texture of old peanut butter and dried out gummy bears. I said to my parents in our car as I was partaking in those nasty balls of pitch; "Can we go back to that little store and buy another box? These are really good!" but I sure was glad dad didn't call me out on that one and turn the car around to go get one another one. - My mother had told me "Don't buy those you won't be able to eat them." I had said, " sure, sure I will seems like they should really be very good." What they really tasted like was arrogant rebellious pride being swallowed.

  24. What needs to be remembered is that many in the 16th century thought that the RC church needed reforming. There problem was they couldn't agree on what to base any reformation. Luther's protest was about abuse's of indulgence's, something most accepted as a fact. That the RC church could not control it's self lead to the reformation and violent attempts to repress it. That biblical based theology is offensive to RC is seen in the declaration's that came out of the council of Trent. Things like 'he who declares salvation is by faith is anathema!'

However you then go on to say that the gospel that the 12 preached was the foundation of Paul`s gospel. So I think it would be better and more understandable by others, if you just said that, and then went on to show the further revelation. regards, Marilyn.

  27. Hi walla299, I hope you are not among the "lonely ones" who struggle to build lasting friendships within the body of Christ. Thankyou for the link and the train of thought it pursues. Loneliness among Christians and other error-induced problems are good topics for discussion and are close to my heart as a consequence of battling against them in the past. Having been raised Anglican and the son of a "vicar" [loathesome word to the enlightened], I believe I am qualified to comment on the inherent flaws of the hierarchical institutional structure known generally as the church, and to point to the solution in Christ and His Word. Often those who strive for elevation and leadership in denominations and congregations subscribe to an abominable teaching of ancient origin, that the mystique of leadership must be maintained by keeping "the people" at arms length. In large congregations this manifests as a pecking order of cliques that range down from the elite to the unwashed. Sometimes attempts are made to overcome social awkwardness by having a specially appointed person known as a "hospitality steward", who looks for newcomers and makes introductions, but what is required is instruction and nurture on how to build relationships that go beyond the superficial and artificial measures of the institution as it tries to resemble the ekklesia of God without knowing what it actually is. I am pleased to read this assessment below from the link supplied: Rosaria strongly warns against homogeneous small groups, particularly those that separate by age, sex, season of life, or common sin struggles. “What single women need are not more single women. What young families need are not more young families.” Why? Rosaria continues, “Small groups that are organized by a sociological category really weaken relationships across differences in a church. And it weakens our ability to really serve one another.” Rosaria encourages us to “leave room for real, organic friendships.” Christ is our commonality, and we are members of his body. And when we exhibit our unity by blood as we interact across our differences, we not only serve each other; we give the world a picture of genuine fellowship and the One who enables it.

  28. I've used this verse a few times in my saved life. I've used it with another believer, especially when we both knew full well what God wanted from us. My saved friend just didn't want to do what we had to do. So I said to her, don't be fooled God is not mocked. She understood the point. In this sense God had told 2 of His believers what He wanted. We had little doubt. I felt to disobey Him in these cases was the same as mocking Him.

  35. Sorry bro, but you may well have placed yourself into the 'odd-man-out' category. One last ( unusual for me anyway ) food item, would have to be calamari. It was ordered at a high end restaurant, and I thought it was just fish when placing the request. Nicely golden battered, with a nice lemon-butter sauce, I was relishing the flavor when a person sitting next to me ( this was a banquet of sorts ) asked, "Do you know what you're eating there?" And my reply was, "I assumed it was fish." It was then that I got duly informed, "Oh, no... It's squid!" ( oh dear! ) And further went on to learn calamari was considered to be a 'poor-man's abalone'. So finishing my meal, and trying not to picture in my mind, something that was semi-gelatinous, squishy/stretchy-slimy! Okay, I'm done. God bless! Shalom, David/BeauJangles

  47. You said this is my second or third view? How do you figure? I have always maintained there is NO 7 year tribulation. Daniel 9:27 has always been intriguing to me and I have long understood it to be the KEY verse to understanding Revelation. Yes, I have posted/written under the FALSE understanding of accepting Dan 9:27 as referring to a 7 YEAR time frame, and now I see it as being "THE 7 DAY PERIOD" of which ALL prophecy hinges - the Holy Week of the cross. SO you have never come to the understanding that you have believed something that turned out later to be not quite right? Now, there is NO Biblical evidence for the A/C making a peace treaty. NO Biblical evidence for a 7 year tribulation. The entire Pre-Millennial argument must be centered on this truth. The debate can/will continue about rapture positioning, but it must be around a 3.5 year tribulation, NOT 7. The conclusion was that Daniel 9:27 is actually referring to a one "week" period of 7 DAYS (NOT years). It does NOT change my outline, I still believe the 70th week is already HALF fulfilled and there are ONLY 3.5 years remaining for the Jews and the left-behind (not the obedient Church)- all of which are portrayed in Revelation. The "covenant" spoken of is now even more solidly in my mind to be referring to Jesus and NOT the A/C. The baptism occurs at the END of the 69th week (start of the 70th) and on a Jubilee Year and is all solidly corroborated by the Jewish Calendar, the NT, and history itself. Another poster has a quote at the bottom of each post that reads something like "an honest man will change his opinion when it is proven wrong". I don't believe I have witnessed a single person on this site (or any other) actually have his/her mind/opinion changed concerning something 'major' based on one posting. What about you? Sure, small minor issues which don't really affect anything else, but have you ever changed your view or position on something "major" after "debating" all these years? All I ever wanted was the truth, even if it means abandoning long-held assumptions. And there are MANY assumptions accepted and repeated by professors, pastors, teachers, and prophets without much reproof if any at all. I have said this before, and I will say it again now... I thank the owner(s) of this forum because it does NOT restrict or prevent people of different 'labels' from putting forth their arguments. By labels, I mean categories like pre, mid and post.
