  2. Personally speaking, I believe Worthy admins to be doing a fine job of keeping order here. If you've seen George's comments about the potential problems of a lively topic becoming an insulting snarl of contention, moderators do step in. There has to be the allowance to let it get that way, in accordance to the ToS. ( terms of service ) They are seasoned in knowing just what to do. Tidy up a thread here and there, speak directly to a violator with much needed discipline, by restrictive means, etc. and so on. All seem well to me, when this topic hit the forums. Have we had any major problems since then? Not to say some one else will come along eventually. They always do. But they are always dealt with accordingly as well. Just my two shekels worth.   3. OUR ROYAL HERITAGE IN OUR LORD. Today, our world is very divided and this division can also be found in the Church- the Body of Christ. Jesus did warn us than many will fall away, and many will be deceived by a false and lying doctrine; basically the doctrine of demons. Did you know that the actual false teachers appearing in many churches today and misleading the flock, were specifically trained to become false ministers, with the sole purpose of destroying those who are called to Salvation? They actually go to 'seminary' to learn how to deceive and mislead the flock, especially the new Christians who hear the ;calling' and are looking to find a place to worship. These new ones are easily led astray, especially since the have not yet received their anointing and still have the love of the world within their hearts. They are led to embrace the doctrine of Satan as they sing and dance with ungodly music and lying words. These false men and women teachers and ministers are only in it for the money, which provides for them a great and lavish life-style. How is it possible that the LGBTQXYZ movement has made it into the church and is destroying many lives? This is an orchestrated effort by Satan and his minions to corrupt the lives of those who are seeking after Jesus and His Saving Grace. I wanted to post something positive today, and I thought about some of the REWARDS we will receive as Followers of Christ Jesus. There are actually five Crowns reserved and laid up for us among our 'Heavenly Treasures'. As I was thinking about how to approach this topic, a thought came to me to go to this: REVELATION Chapter 3: 7-12 7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth; 8 I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name. 9 Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee. 10 Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth. 11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown. 12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name. .................................................. Here are FIVE CROWNS we receive as reward. 1. Crown of Incorruptibility- this one we receive for running the race and never giving up. Staying true to the word and fighting the good fight, until the end. 1CORINTHIANS Chapter 9:24-27 24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. 25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: 27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. …........................................ 2. Crown of Rejoicing- This one we receive for winning Souls and being in the presence of Our LORD at His coming. 1THESSALONIANS Chapter 2:19 19 For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? …........................................... 3. Crown of Righteousness- This one we receive for 'loving His Appearing'.2TIMOTHY Chapter 4:7-8 7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. …............................................... 4. Crown of Life- This one we receive for our persecution and trials,and also for our Love of the LORD. REVELATION Chapter 2:9-10 9 I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty, (but thou art rich) and I know the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but are the synagogue of Satan. 10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life. Also- JAMES Chapter 1: 12 12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. ….................. 5. Crown of Glory- This one is given to the Faithful Pastors and Ministers who feed the flock. 1PETER Chapter 5:1-4 1 The elders which are among you I exhort, who am also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: 2 Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; 3 Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being ensamples to the flock. 4 And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. ............ We must continue in our walk and do as we are commanded by Our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. We must also pray for the spirit of Humility and Meekness and Grace to always be with us, because it is very challenging to be as we ought to be, especially when we live in a world where evil is being nurtured and cultivated right before our very eyes... the tares are being made ready for the harvest. These are a few of the things I have to understand, especially Meekness. Christ Jesus is LORD and KING and we wait in our blessed hope for His appearing. Peace and Love to you all in Christ Jesus. M.

  4. For those who haven't heard this adage, I'll complete it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. In my history on this site, I've hopefully established a reputation for being calm and reasoned most of the time. The tone of this post is a combination of exasperation, resignation, sadness, and hope. It's hard to be mad because I did this myself for a few decades and I know how seductive being dedicated to the Truth can be until one realizes with embarrassment that they are really being dedicated to their *opinion* about the Truth and eventually realize with horror at how much damage they've personally caused to the body of Christ because of misguided zeal. I know what it's like to be absolutely convinced I was right when I said "The Bible says....". I also know the regret of hindsight in realizing I should have been saying "My best understanding of what the Bible says is..." and being open to correction and growth. I also learned the hard way that the only real way to determine if another Christian is "right with God" is to look at the fruit in their life and the general direction of the growth and changes occurring in their life. I sadly realized that I had been happier with Christians who passed my litmus tests of correct doctrine than those who had much fruit in their lives. I was passing up fellowship and opportunities to learn from mature Christians because they didn't pass my standards of doctrinal purity. Various sects of Christians (as embodied by various denominations, ministries, churches, ministers, and individuals) have had different points of views of particular topics for centuries. Does anyone here truly believe that rehashing the same centuries-old (or indeed millennia-old for some) arguments and points is really going to change anyone's mind? I'm going to call this out for what it is. It's proselytizing. It's saying that "my version of Christianity is right and yours is wrong and I'm a better Christian because I'm right on this issue." At best, it's saying "I'll overlook your ignorance and hope God will eventually show you mercy and change your mind." At worst, it's saying "You're a heretic who must be silenced or maybe you're not really a Christian." It often involves passing on negative stereotypes of the wrong side as proof of why one should come over to the right side. At its root is the idea that holding the right doctrinal positions is much more important than the amount of fruit and spiritual growth due to God actually working in someone's life. Here's the ugly reality. There's been a civil war going on in Christianity for generations over a single question. What does the Bible teach about who determines an individual's eternal destination? The details of the arguments and ramifications cover many things, but the core of the fight is over this. Does the Bible teach that God predetermined who are the elect to be saved and who are the reprobate to be damned for eternity? or Does the Bible teach that God has somehow given each individual enough spiritual enlightenment and freedom to choose where to spend eternity? Here's some more of reality. The vast majority of denominations, ministries, churches, and pastors are convinced they are right about what the Bible teaches on this matter. Teachings on OSAS/not-OSAS, holiness, assurance, etc. are rooted in this issue. Sadly, large numbers of Christians have been indoctrinated and have become convinced that this is an essential belief of the Christian faith. I'll repeat that again that many Christians have been *unwittingly* indoctrinated into one side or the other and have never had reason to question various things they've been taught. Over my life, I have seen many resources, much energy, and even more sadly much good-will, expended over proselytizing other Christians (usually new converts) to join the right side of this civil war and to carry on the good fight for the Truth. For generations, Christians have been teaching and expecting other Christians to be uncomfortable with those Christians who disagree with them on this issue. Just read a number of the posts and threads on this site from the past few weeks as evidence of this. Many Christians on this site truly believe deep in their hearts that this is a critical issue and that the Christians on the other side are wrong and misguided. Even those gentle souls hurt by the fighting don't realize they at times unwittingly toss fuel on the fire when gently repeating points of indoctrination that they believe with deep sincerity. I'd be remiss not to point out I've contributed to this in my life. I joined the side I thought was right and tried to convinced other Christians to join me. Years ago, I realized that when I took an honest look at Christians, it's nearly impossible to tell which side they are on (at least until they open their mouths and start opining on the issue and trying to proselytize over it). When I looked at their actions, behaviors, and words, I really didn't see any difference in their lives. When I was honest with myself, I realized that neither of the two sides was showing fruit that was significantly different from the other. I know the accusations and scary boogie-man stories each side tells about the other as to why they'll eventually be terrible Christians and bad churches because they are wrong about this issue, but I never really saw any substantial differences. If this issue is as important as it's made out to be, I should have been able to see a big difference between the two sides after centuries, but I didn't. This started a slow process in me of trying to figure out how to extricate myself from being part of the problem and eventually if it was possible to do anything about it. Anyway, it'd take a post about as long as this one is already to discuss my thoughts on this and potential resolutions in detail. I guess mostly I'm just saddened over seeing this site becoming enmeshed in fighting a centuries old Christian civil war and scaring away people who have very real spiritual needs.

Some Christian like denominations declare it to all be allegorical, a denial in fact of much of the Old Testament, declaring it as being a kind fable, "something to tell the people". I take it to be literally the accounting by God of God and the reveal of God the Son from the very first written word as organized, for Jesus declared He believed it all. He quoted it in all that He spoke. It was the Bible He read. He did not declare that He was to duplicate a fable, but instead that He would give one sign only, the sign of Jonah. Evidently Jesus believed Jonah to be real, or else He declared he was much like a fable. Jesus who is God the creator of all that is created gives me no choice but to take literally that which is declared in the Bible He read and quoted extensively as though it is literal. ------ In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. I have no choice, since the Holy Spirit turned me about to my own salvation, but to believe I am reading God's truth, not fantasies. God the Holy Spirit had me start my own juorney in truth by having me read Job. What a lot of fun to see parallels in my own life as I was turned about and about to go even deeper into some very harsh and extremely hard to endure times. He took me from denial of all of the Bible to embracing every word as His truth. I have no need nor desire of any links to explanations of possible fablism in the Bible. God has had me live too much of it's consequence so that I would recognize it's truth, and has shown me the truth of it from day one of His reveal of my Lord God and savior Jesus.

Romans 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 1 John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God. 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 1 John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

  7. The "profound" experience you are referring to, is when God takes you from sinner and reproduces you (born again) as a Saint. In about the blink of an Eye. What could be more profound then .. 35 seconds ago, a person is lost, going to hell, has no hope, ruined life, and they are separated from God by their sin, and then.... they hear within their heart of the Love of God, ("faith cometh by hearing") who as Jesus dying on THE Cross, ... calls them home to His Heart. They hear His LOVE calling from the Cross, and they reach out in Faith and God takes their spirit and washes it CLEAN, for all eternity, in the Holy Blood of Jesus. OSAS You said it right, Warrior12... this is "profound". I know that when this happened to me, i instantly had brand new inner "eyes". And when it happened to my older brother, he told me "When i got up up off my knees, and wiped the tears from my eyes, i was standing on a world i had never seen before......everything looked different....even TREES looked different". My Younger Step-Brother, was saved when He was about 8, and at 22 he was in Texas, and was in a Sunday morn service, and there was guest. A missionary, who spoke. Before his message had ended, my brother heard God in his heart call Him into the mission field. He left a high paying management job at Hewlett Packard the next day..... gave them his "2 weeks". He had no idea what would happen. He was single, making tons of money, had a good life. Now he just quit that life because He heard God in his heart. He had no idea what to do next. He had people (loved ones) telling him in the next few days..."well, that is just emotionalism, you can't leave a JOB LIKE THAT" !!!!!!!!!!!... "think of the cost of your education, you're DEGREE"... "you are throwing it all away"... This was his Step-Dad talking to him who also told him.. "well, if this fails, im not going to support you". This is my dad. He's the "step-dad", and in this case, He's playing the Devil's advocate. ..... As it is Jesus who said that a Believer's real enemies, would be found, often, in their own house, own family. And of course, Jesus is always right. It is now over 25 yrs ago that he left it all for Jesus. (he didn't listen to the step-dad) And what has happened? He met his wife, she is a missionary....on the Fields of the Ukraine. He has fathered 3 girls, all born in the Ukraine. He has built 2 Churches. He created a street ministry and food-bank for the orphans in Odessa. He has trained many many missionaries, both in Odessa - Kiev who joined the Churches, and also Americans who find His website and want to go. And yeah, he also trained the Pastor's of these Churches. Right now, he is there, but coming to the States for a visit with the family soon. And what else? He is the director of ... have you ever heard of "Missions To The World"? He directs it when he's in the states, and is also a full time Missionary with wife and family, STILL, when he goes back. So that is what he has been doing since he heard the call of God and just simply said. = "YES". "SEND ME". So, Warrior12, what you said is a BULLSEYE......as when Jesus touches you Through the GRACE of GOD, you are profoundly changed. And that is why a person who really knows Jesus, wants to talk and teach and preach about HIM, and the Cross, and the Blood, and Grace. They can open the bible to your inner man because God has opened it to them, especially if God has enabled and equipped them to teach. And they can do so, with power, because, they are profoundly changed. A person who is not really born again, can speak christianese, and misuse verses, twist the bible, and talk about works, but they don't really KNOW the Master.   10. When a believer is born again, something profound has taken place in his life. Have you not read in scripture, that he now has the Holy Spirit to guide, teach and convict him when he goes contrary to the word. It is a living experience that is true to him and as he goes along, hearing and studying the word, he draws closer to the righteousness that the Lord so taught him to attain. It is by Christ righteousness we are made righteous and not on our own, we can never achieve that on our own. You seem to place a lot of guilt on the church. The onus for a man to walk upright before the Lord is on him as it is he that will face his maker to answer for his life on that day. Study to be approved. What are we encouraged to be like, not like the Bereans. The born again believer has the statues written on his hearts and as his heart is changed, walks in this newness of life, striving to do what is right in the sight of the Lord. Some take the path of counting the beads on a chain all day and reciting vain repetitions ect,, but the believer has the guide and teacher within him to guide him along the way. The believer is a spiritual man and has to use his spiritual gifts to help him along the journey. The word of God instructs and teaches us as to God will and each believer has to follow and abide in his own heart. Acts 17:11 King James Version (KJV) 11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

  11. That kind of thing really bothers me. It's not an issue where I now live (Kentucky rural bible belt) and, in fact, the opposite is the problem. But I did see some of it in Seattle and on some web sites. If they would only teach that salvation and works are really two completely different, though slightly related, subjects. Works are an exercise of faith and one should do as many as they can. Not because they HAVE TO (they don't), but because they want to grow closer to and better know their creator/savior. I like to use this analogy: Two boys, one who's father is Allah, and the other, who's father is Yahweh are each asked by their respective father's to clean their room. Allah's son cleans his room because if he doesn't, he's written out of the will. Yahweh's son cleans his room because he loves his father and wants to please him and have a good relationship with him. And if he doesn't clean his room, he will not be written out of the will, though his relationship with his dad, not to mention the quality of his life, will suffer.

  17. Shalom, Realistically, it won't change whilst such poster's continue their plight. Let's face it, if they believe they are doing the will of God, so who could stop them? Any resistance that they face they will surely think they are suffering for the sake of the Gospel. Therefore, I think the burden lies with the rest of us. If we see a poster get intentionally rude, provocative, close minded (as in just want to bark their own doctrine), we shouldn't reply. We shouldn't entertain such an attitude because it cultivates and encourages it. Debate is good, interesting and fruitful, if done right. Recognisable traits that it's going wrong quickly include: CAPITAL letters to MAKE a POINT Lots of exclamation points!!! Or question marks??? Harshly worded responses Dividing the family (i.e. I'M this and YOU'RE that) Reading or quoting your post out of context Scripture-bombing (as in listing 6 or 7 verses one after the other. That is not a conversation) Always needing the last word A condescending attitude When you see these traits repetitively in a poster, don't bother replying. You'll be wasting your time, encouraging them and maybe even creating a stumbling block for yourself in your zeal to stand for the truth. Truly, some people in here I do not recognise the Holy Spirit within their words or attitude. Some may even be operating with another spirit. So I think we should be vigilant over love, peace, kindness, respect and patience with each other, and very few with our words to those who don't show these fruits (unless they are an unbeliever). Again, a difference of opinion and debate is good and helpful. But bickering endlessly about a topic, that no side will ever backdown from, is worthless. Love & Shalom

  19. I like Debp's idea. Trolls are obvious. New Christians/seeking unbelievers are easily separated from trolls. I'm a moderator on another forum and trolls are banished quickly. Everyone has to guard his/her own heart and lips. If you can't stand what's being said, get off the computer for a while. Go invest in real life. Go for a jog, read book, play with the grandkids or the dog/cat. Go read the Bible. Bake a cake, plant a flower, mow the lawn, go visit a neighbor, color your hair, clip your toenails..... …..just get away from what is stirring you up. If you come back and you still feel the same - pray before you type. Pray after you type. Pray for others here.

Be of good cheer Debp, I believe this was what Paul was falsely accused of preaching; Romans 3:8 (NASB) And why not say (as we are slanderously reported and as some claim that we say), "Let us do evil that good may come"? Their condemnation is just. For Paul was not preaching “let us sin that grace may abound” But he was preaching the “the just shall live by faith” But there were those that didn’t understand the message that accused him of preaching “let us do evil that good may come” So be of good cheer Debp you are in good company.   23. Have you ever read Eph 3:18 about the extent of Gods love? It is an amazing prayer I'll paste it. Eph 3:14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Note having given dimensions he says we are to know what is unknowable and asks that God will do more than can be measured beyound what we can imagine. If God's love for us is beyound measure, does it not follow that his love in action, in forgiving us is also beyond measure?

  24. Pickled Hard Boiled (actually pressure steamed) Eggs Well, today I tried something that I have wanted to try for a long time, I make pickled hard boiled eggs, because I like to eat them. However, I do not like making them, because I find making hard boiled eggs, to be challenging; Getting them to the correct doneness is not difficult, but I seldom find peeling the eggs to be easy. I have read lots of articles on how to do it, watched YouTube videos, etc.,but it seems like there are at least 20 ways to make the perfect hard boiled egg, that peels easily, the shells just practically fall off you know! Well, at least that is how it seems to me when other people do it. it is rare that I have been able to get that to happen no matter how meticulously I following all the surefire methods of others. What I had been wanting to try however, is using my electric pressure multi-cooker to do eggs. I once bought an electric egg cooker, which was dedicated to only making hard boiled (well, really steamed) eggs. To be fair to it, it worked pretty well, It was quick, and the eggs did turn out to the proper doneness. They did not, however, peel any easier that conventionally boiled eggs. It only cooked 6 eggs at a time, whereas I would have preferred to cook a dozen. At least it was easy to clean, and not very expensive, also, it did not take a lot of space to store. I need to say that actually, it was a pretty good appliance. However, I have this pressure cooker thing, and it has a built in egg function. I has wished it came with a special egg rack for the purpose, but it did not. On the other hand, a found a set of accessories in eBay for these generic multi-cookers, reasonably prices so I bought one. It sat around here for several months, until yesterday, when I had a whim to finally try doing eggs in the e.p.c.. Now, I did not know for sure how to use the egg function, so I took a stab at it, just winged it. I decided to put some water in first, I probably used two cups. I knew did not want the water to touch the eggs as they sat in ther rack, as they were to be steamed, under pressure. Eggs were designed by God to withstand pressure. Their curves, there natural arcs, withstand outside forces, so that mama bird does not make a gooey mess when she sit on them. God made them smooth and round, he could have made them rough cubes, but it was not a chicken that sinned in the garden, so there was not need to multiple the bird's reproductive pain! Also, the same curves that make the egg strong, also make it's exit from mama, easier, and allow the chick to break out - eggs are designed not to be squashed, but they are easy exit. So, after adding a bit of water, I put the egg rack inside, and set the eggs in it. I put the lid on and closed the cooker. Pushed the pressure button, and then turn the little knob to where the display said eggs. The display said "MED". That means medium, go figure!. I do not want runny or dark yellow yolks, so I figured that the designers probably programmed the cooker with LOW, MED, and HIGH, for runny, dark but softer, and harder dryer, what we call hard boiled, typically. I pushed the button to start the cooker, and the display turned from blue to orange. Orange on my cooker, means that the cooker is warming up. It takes a few minutes to warm up. As it is warming, it is heating the water to past boiling point, and building pressure inside the pot. Once it finishes that part of the cycle, the display turns red, and the cooking begins. The computer in the pot, thinks this will take 6 minutes, At the end of that time, it goes to a keep warm function. This s the time to cancel the cook cycle, and use the little lever or valve on the top. too let steam escape and release pressure, so that you can open the cooler and retrieve your cooked chicken seeds. Sometimes, I refer to hard boiled eggs as "boneless chicken dinners". This time however, I intend to pickle these eggs, and I eat them for any meal, or as a snack. After retrieving my eggs, I put them into a bowl of water, just tap water, with no ice. I think the theory of cold water or ice water, is that when the eggs are chilled, they want to shrink, to contract, while the arcs of the egg shell prevent the shell from shrinking with the rest of the egg. In theory this should make the egg peel easier. The science seems sound to me, but mostly, I just want to have the eggs cool enough to handle. There were two reasons that I did not use ice in the bowl of water. The first reason, is that I wanted this to be a simple as possible, why have extra steps, if they are not needed. I did not know if it was needed or not, but I decided since this was an experiment, I would just use tap water. Once the eggs had cooled sufficiently, it was time to try peeling the shells off, the part I dread the most. Using my near genius IQ and analytical thinking, I decided that the best way to peel the shells of, would be to break the shell into smaller pieces, just around it's equator. I figured this way, I would have less pieces to remove, and the egg shell halves could then just be slid off, instead of trying to peel a lot of tiny pieces. This theory actually worked! Following is a close-up of one off the eggs. The peeling worked so well, that the two halves of this egg shell are still attached to each other. I do not think that has ever happened with me before: Now, the cooking part is done, how did they turn out, did they come out properly "hard boiled"? I am delighted to report, that they came out just the way I wanted them to. Not dried out, and the yolks cooked all the way to their centers! As you can see, they are perfectly smooth, no dings from trying to peel of the shells, and the eggs even seemed to have mostly filled out the shells. In my experience with boiling eggs, the large end of the egg usually has a hollow spot in it, unlike these. I really liked how well this worked! OK, so the cooking part is done, but these are just plain egg flavored, Time to get to the good part, the pickling! How do we do this? Well it is really easy and cheap, the way I do it, but it does take about a week or so for good results, I love pickled jalapeño peppers. I use them at least twice a week, one way or the other, usually with breakfast burritos. I buy them ready made n a can, and my favorite brand is La Costiña, but others are good also. The cans have jalapeños in them of course. The also have sliced carrots and onion bits and some spices, all are in what I assume is water and vinegar. Once I eat the jalapeños, the liquid is left over in the cans. I could pour it done the drain, but why waste it? I collect the liquid in a large, glass jar, and keep it in the refrigerator. After I have enough liquid (say half the jar full), I cook some eggs, and place them in the jar. After the eggs sit about a week in the jar, they taste a bit like deviled eggs. By the way, the devil should get no credit for deviled eggs, he has nothing to do with them. All good things come from God. Now, after the eggs and absorbed the flavor from the liquid, they are ready to eat. They are not especially spicy, but the will agree with the tastes of many people. I happen to prefer them to be a bit spicier, so on the the next phase: Above, you see the eggs, next to the jar I chose, which has the liquid from the jalapeño cans, to which a lot of red pepper flakes have been added, and some ground cayenne pepper as well. You can add other things, to spice it up, sometimes I add habanero or ghost peppers to the concoction. It is just a matter of taste, I would not add habanero or ghost peppers if I was serving these to guests though. Below you see the jar, the juice, the jalapeños, and the eggs basking in the liquid, soaking up the flavor. In this picture, you can see the eggs float, They typically do that for about an hour I guess, then the sink. In a week or so, if I remember, I will add a picture of what the eggs look like, after they have marinated like this. The whites of the eggs, will change color, being dyed somewhat by the red of the pepper material. Other than that final picture, I guess I am done here. Chef Omegaman, checking out! Enjoy!

  28. A person will never understand the teaching and concept of the trinity without one important factor. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Because it is He who reveals this to us. Yes the bible teaches that there is only one God. God is in heaven and man is on earth so our understanding of him and all he is. . . is limited. No matter how smart we humans are; we can never fully understand it because we are earthly humans who are talking about heavenly things. Colossians 2:9 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form. This is to mean and say Jesus is fully man and fully God at the same time. God is a trinity of persons consisting of one substance and one essence but only ONE God.   30. i had an epiphany- tell me i you think this makes sense biblically. If God has something in mind for someone, he will give them a desire for it or make them aware of it. So while God may use us (by suggesting or pointing out) to open someones eyes to something it is not for us to try and pry them open by insisting or pressuring if they dont agree or take. So as much we think someone should do something or make a particular choice, if its the one God has or them, they will naturally gravitate to it or get a desire for it. Often we just want them to do what WE think they should and get critical i they dont

Why not let people vote with their feet.....when any thread gets to the point that everything that needs to be said has been said.....let it alone to die on the vine, so to speak . Nobody is forced to go to any thread at Worthy......Sometimes threads are shutdown because somebody in control is not interested — they have no “ skin in the game”......I think it is best to let things play themselves out .....it’s not as if this computer ink is costing anybody anything......Those with no appetite for strong , sometimes contentious debates should follow Harry Truman’s advice..... “ If you can’t stand the heat- get out of the kitchen”Those that are hateful, only here to stir up trouble, use vile language, etc could be handled on an individual basis....other than that, some of these debates are VERY important.....Doctrines and beliefs can make the difference between a victorious life or a ruined life, and at times these debates could enlighten somebody and keep them from an Eternity Of torment .Should it be any surprise that some ( i include myself ) get passionate about their positions? If ruined lives and eternal hell are subjects don't arouse passion, what exactly would it take?Lets strive to keep our passion , yet play like good little boys and girls.I have a way to go, but this is my goal. Hi Last Daze, Yes I agree that `Peace and Safety/Security` is associated with the Day of the Lord as 1 Thess. 5:4 tells us, `But you brethren are not in darkness, so that this day should overtake you as a thief.` However, I believe, God is referring to the BEGINNING of the DAY OF THE LORD, and not the end. Why? Because it says - `When they are say, "Peace and Safety, (/Security)" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labour pains upon a pregnant woman.` (1 Thess. 5: 3) The beginning of labour pains are sudden but gradually build in intensity. Thus I see that the world is desiring "Peace and Safety/Security" till in God`s timing He begins the Day of the Lord, the tribulation, with `sudden destruction,` described in Rev. 8: 7 - 13. ( all the grass burnt up, 1/3 of trees, bringing famine, 1/3 of sea blood, 1/3 of fresh water bitter, 1/3 of stars etc dark) The devastation continues building with the 3 woes and the bowl judgments, till great darkness over the world and finally Armageddon. And the writings in that bible , sure did say nigh the end , many would flee truth and rather heed these fables . Whereof they have no right to eat . Oh let us flee these kinds of tabernacles , and GO YE unto the LORD in the wilderness JESUS is our sacrifice and HE HIS BLOOD alone our covering . The blood of bulls , lambs , goats , ITS ALL OVER . THEY could only cleanse the outside as pertains to the flesh , BUT WE have the true blood which can cleanse THE ENTIRE INNER CONSCIOUS of sin . To me it seems more and more are going in two directions which are really one and the same . I see this sense of becoming like the jews in many and its increasing . Paul fought against this mindset , we will too . Two horns have arisen . The great horn of ROME and the horn of natural jersusalem where all will be centered in the days ahead . Folks got no idea who this is leading them too . They cling to the natural as though its the spiritual . So many wont make it and I worry huge for many . WE BETTER CLING ONLY TO CHRIST .

Well that is what we think in modern English. but in the Greek that the New Testament was written in, a msystery is a bit different: Stongs: a mystery, secret, of which initiation is necessary; in the NT: the counsels of God, once hidden but now revealed in the Gospel or some fact thereof; the Christian revelation generally; particular truths or details of the Christian revelation. So yes, the Trinity is a mystery, since the one God existing in eternity as three persons, has been revealed. We may not understand it fully, but we do not need to understand it. We only need to accept what God has said, and realize that for us to understand God fully, is like an ant trying to understand calculus.

  41. This also applies to doctrine. If God does not open our eyes to the truth of a teaching, we can't beat it into them with endless posts. Some truths are spiritually discerned. Moreover I am convinced that sometimes we need an extreme end of a doctrine to bring our perception into balance. For instance, a person who had been caught up in legalism may need to hear only grace and no works, because hearing works might bring them back to working to be good enough to go to heaven. While the person who was taught grace that thought that meant they can live like a heathen, that person may need to hear about righteous living because the word grace may mean to them that they can live like sinners. God brings our perception into balance by opening our ears to the teachings that we need to hear, that helps us to live for Him. My 2 cents.

  45. May I suggest the example of God's unwilling servant Jonah? What do you think, is the record of Jonah an example of how God gives desire or makes one aware? Does God not insist on His way or else, regardless of one's desire? The difference, in my opinion, is while I may desire someone to do something that I think is God's will for them, I am not God. I am a bond-servant of Jesus, and I do not have direction from God to command the servant of another, but only my own servants, of which there aren't presently any at all.

  47. and having done so, the remainder of our walk is about believing. And progressively doing the WORK of God, the ONLY work He has assigned us....to believe. It's not about dying to self, it's about believing we ARE dead....crucified on His own cross with Him. Once belief is aligned with truth, then in that area we we have become like Him, and from that works WILL flow as naturally as water flows downhill. And they will not be our works, but work of eternal value done BY HIM, THROUGH us.
