  1. Well, the world does think we're a little bit peculiar. 1 Peter 2:9 For ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of the darkness into his marvelous light; KJV

  2. One last comment. There were millions of Jews during the Holocaust that were tattooed for identification purposes, as they were numbered to be exterminated in the death camps. Those who survived have been pictured showing them, as a both a sign of the Lord's mercy, and having saved them out of from this terrible tragedy in which they had been appointed. God bless them all.

  5. Not to be contentious ...I don’t believe that “law” applies to the Body of Christ. We are under a NEW COVENANT! Moses gave the Jews 613 laws...I’m sure all had a purpose and many can certainly be applied for us today....... but I don’t believe we are required to follow them.

  6. We are all going to be Home in Heaven one day. Either by the return of Jesus, or He calls us Home. I've been thinking the last few weeks, that we all know one another on here. But if one of us suddenly gets called Home to Heaven, then we won't know about it on this forum, unless somehow a message could get passed on by a family member, or friend. The only way we would have an idea that someone has gone Home, is that they wouldn't appear on the forum again. Praise Jesus though, that in the not too distant future, we will all be there. Celebrating and worshipping Jesus for eternity!

  7. Shalom everyone, I just wanted you all to know that it's been an extremely busy month for me in Israel. We had a conference in Jerusalem during the week of Pentecost. In the past month, we had a member of the congregation that suffered a stroke. Also, one of the anchors of the movement in Israel just passed away, which has taken my time away from the ministry. There is way too much going on in the land ... with the threat of a war with Iran, and trying my best to pastor and do the things I normally do. When I come to Worthy and find 20+ reported threads ... that's TIME in my daily routine that I really need these days. I posted this in another thread that I had to spend a good 30 minutes cleaning up. Do yourself a favor ... if you can't discuss something in love ... then simply don't let a forum board steal your joy! Seriously! I want you to think about this ... God created a HOLY people. What is Kadosh in Hebrew -- which is translated HOLY? It means SEPARATED for Himself! What SEPARATES us from the world? In the Old Testament -- it was keep SHABBAT (Sabbath) and following God's instructions! What is God doing now? Creating for himself a HOLY NATION through YOU! 1 Peter_2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. What makes US separated from the World? Is it the commandments? Well, it's DEEPER THAN THAT! Rom 13:8 Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. Rom 13:9 For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Rom 13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Rom 13:11 Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed. Rom 13:12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. You can become so legalistic -- that you believe you're HOLY -- but in essence have no love -- you're missing the POINT! The thing that makes us SEPARATED from the world -- is OUR LOVE for ONE ANOTHER! And how we love our ENEMIES! The reality is simply this -- LEARN TO LOVE -- and the first step is learning how to discuss things with one another in LOVE! This is OBJECT of the lesson. If you can't discuss in love with those you disagree with ... you'll find yourself on Mod Review. I don't BAN anyone ... and I don't shut down discussions without a good reason. So please ... take the lesson to heart ... be a HOLY people and learn what should truly separate us from the world! Joh 17:21 that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. Joh 17:22 The glory that you have given me I have given to them, that they may be one even as we are one, Joh 17:23 I in them and you in me, that they may become perfectly one, so that the world may know that you sent me and loved them even as you loved me. God bless, George

  9. I've been told that getting a tattoo is a painful process and its not cheap by some friends that have them. Several have had neck or face tatts removed due to problems getting work or the images themselves - and the pain of removal is worse. Oh, yeah, and you get to pay more money for the removal too! Infections can happen any time you're doing something that breaks the skin . . . but that was likely a severe (possibly drug resistant) case in the pic. I admit that I have seen some very good artwork in some tattoos, but I don't think I'll get one myself partly because I can't spend the money on one in good conscience. I am also not the Holy Spirit, so I will allow others the freedom to decide for themselves to get one or not.

  10. Why we need to understand the 7 letters to the churches? We often read the epistles of Paul and of the Apostles but this is a letter from the exalted Christ Himself in all His glory. This is what He is calling forth in His bride; this is the preparation that is required to be made ready for the wedding. Yet it is the most neglected letters in the church. These letters define the truth and the focus necessary to mature as a bride Our love to Him is expressed if we treasure His letters: we search it out as a hidden treasure. Then we obey his command s, we heed his warnings and we guard its message. Summary of what Jesus calls forth in His bride Don't loose your first love- ( don't let the fire goes out but keep your heart vibrant alive captivated by me, always chasing after me) Be willing for martyrdom ( those who are rich in love don't count the cost for martyrdom ) Let the word of God become like a two edged sword coming out of your mouth. One has to be diligent in studying the word and meditate upon it day and night. Pursue after humility and meekness watch and pray and grow strong in the inner man Embrace prophetic worship in the spirit of the tabernacle of David cultivate the oil of intimacy Eternal rewards Then he is offering rewards to all those who would take heed to his letters and do the words of the prophecy. The rewards have to do our proximity to Jesus and about the level of glory we carry, as one star differs from one another in glory so also is the resurrection of the dead. Most of these rewards will be received by all believers at least in an introductory way but the over-comer receives the fullest measure of these rewards Dwelling in the holy of holies The fullest measure of these eternal rewards are found only by dwelling within the veil. To eat of the hidden manna- the hidden manna was in the ARK and the ARK was within the veil. Sit on his throne- the throne room is within the veil. A pillar in the temple- the temple of God is in the New Jerusalem, the holy of holies. In Rev 4, we see the 24 elders: they are before the throne of God in the holy of holies. This is the highest level of intimacy that the human spirit can experience. They are seated on thrones; they are clothed in white garments and with the victors crown on their head. No wonder the Psalmist cry out in psalm 19:11 in keeping your commandments there is GREAT REWARD. I believe that we are all a LONG way short of the standard that Jesus is calling forth in his bride. https://worshipwarriorsministry.com.au/ https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=1&v=VlUuA64rnt

  14. I been reading alot of what people are writing. I wonder do you know the wages of sin are death? Do you know we accept that judgment of God confess our sin and enter a guilty plea at the cross throwing ourself on the mercies of the court? That we are barried with Christ and counted dead no more arguments over us with Satan in the heavenly courts? Then in recieving the Holy Spirit we are given a new life? I think a lot of Christian are still trying to justify sin, their sin and are still fighting Gods judgement, Satan's accusations, their flesh, Holy Spirits conviction of sin, encouragments for rightouessnes and warning about Gods judgments because they haven't entered a guilty plea at the cross. Let's study all this? And see if we can make all this very clear with scripture and get some of these torrential souls some relief. Please.. first question for debate.. Is it a firm non wavering judgement of God that the wages of sin are death? Please post scriptures for and against that statement being an absolute truth.

  15. Well, I had the experience of having a person of great interest disappear from another Christian Message Board. She just flat out disappeared. Turned out she was deathly ill from a flesh eating bacteria of unknown origin or type. The CDC was involved and she was in the hospital alone and near death for months. Suddenly she reappeared on that Christian message board, almost nine months later, and I decided hey no more messing around here, being pleasant of a message board and then having her just up 'n disappear. No more of that. So I am going to marry her! I courted her on the board and she me in return, we did so in code using Youtube song videos on a thread that was just for fun on that board, Remember old love songs, mostly people reminiscing about the old days and really old music. I also lost 35 pounds getting in shape at the gym and walking five miles a day. We never exchanged pictures or any personal information, just decided to meet at San Antonio at the River Walk for lunch and a talk and walk. Well a visit to the Alamo where she always cries and a horse and carriage ride, later and that was that done deal. She is my spouse. And oh boy, she is fixing food for dinner tonight right now- we are away in the mountains and we just can't up and pick any one of several hundred restaurants to dine at like we do in the "city". If I graduate she will likely mention it on this board, and if she graduates I will mention it on the old Christian message board where we met and she still frequents to this day.

  22. Amen. And no letter is more put aside than the one to Laodicea (which means "the people's opinions"). We are in that time period of the church...right now. But who is taking the Lord's warning to heart? Has anyone noticed how many opinions there are...or how anyone speaking about the things of God is seen as just offering one more opinion? It seems that everybody thinks that they have all sufficiency...that they are rich. But the truth is that there is very little life of Jesus going on in the church. Very little power and a LOT of defeat. Yet somehow the majority have been placated into thinking that there is no more grace available then what they already possess. It is seen as an offense to suggest that there is more in God's storehouse to seek God for. That there is no eye salve to actually see the kingdom of God or that there are no actual spiritual riches to buy with our whole devotion and trust in God. Who can perceive the warning...the prophetic warnings of God? Are we really spiritually rich...or poverty stricken? Rev. 3:17 Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— Hosea 12:8 8 And Ephraim said, ‘Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors They shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.’ Hosea 13:12 12 “The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; His sin is stored up.

  24. You didn’t answer my simple question........do you keep all the 613 laws as set forth by Moses (tattoo being one of them)? If you INSIST WE HAVE TO KEEP the law of no tattoos then you must insist on keeping all of them. This is not a cafeteria plan, you know? So do you keep ALL of them? If not, why are you being so legalistic about tattoos?

  25. There was a young woman of 24 on another forum who had just gotten divorced and was seeking help dealing with it. She was told by some, “sorry, you can never get married again or that will put you in a state of perpetual adultery which can’t be forgiven. Divorce can be forgiven since it happened once. Remarriages can’t be because they are still on going.” So, that’s it. At 24 she was told that she must forego love and marriage for the remainder of her days. Someone brought up, “What about remarried couples who went on the have children and then became born again, Bible believing Christians?” One response was, “They need to get a divorce (even though it’s a sin) to get out of the bigger sin of adultery by being married a second time.“ That reasoning is biblical legal lunacy. We had an excellent series of sermons at our church on marriage and just how important it is to God. Included in the sermons were the topics of adultery (cheating emotionally as well as physically), honoring the spouse, divorce and remarriage. The long and the short of it was: Marriage is sacred. It is not to be taken lightly or casually because He designed it. Divorce is miserable for everyone involved which is another reason God wants us to remain married. There are perfectly acceptable reasons to get divorced but that may not make the experience any less painful. Divorce is a sin .... but God forgives sin through the blood of Jesus Christ. He pointed out the absolute legalistic fallacy that if someone is married a second time they are in a perpetual state of unforgivable adultery. He added the caveat that one should not expect to be blessed if you ditch your wife just so you can be with someone else. God knows your heart. God knows repentance which getting into agreement with him. God forgives sin through the blood of Jesus Christ.

  26. Thank You Miss Muffy. No guys mentioned praying together. Hubby and I had conversational prayer every night. He led. He usually prayed for the safety of our family and any particular needs I had, I usually prayed for sickness aches and pains and salvation. Then we prayed for friends. I perhaps miss this the most of our relationship. Of course, having his help in caring for the place and repairing stuff are things I also miss. as well as our rides together and going bird watching. We loved exploring dirt roads, logging roads and forrest service roads in the mountains. The peace, coolness, and haunting call of the Swainson's Thrush. And an occasional bear or herd of elk or deer. That lone Bambi investigating a noisy flying insect. Such precious moments we shared.

  27. Some people are unaware of the rebellion that lives in their hearts and that their tattoos reflect an antisocial or ungodly heart. It is a sobering thought to remember that God says that rebellion is like the sin of witchcraft (1 Sam. 15:23). Stories abound of people who got a tattoo when they were intoxicated, on drugs, or angry, all of which are states of rebelliousness. Rebellious tattoos often fall into the category of dark and sinister images such as death, skulls, demons, dragons, spiders, and other frightening, menacing, or evil objects. There are also tattoos that are occultic in nature or are pagan symbols such as “Thor’s Hammer,” Masonic emblems, nature worship, or the symbols of eastern religions. These types of images promote false gods and belief systems and are always wrong. Rebellious tattoos are never a godly blessing to others and they often reflect the hurt and pain that resides in the person’s heart by promoting beliefs and religions that are opposed to God’s truth. In other words, they promote evil. The Motive of Rejection Another motive that people are often unaware of is rejection. Many people have a great sense of unworthiness, being unlovable, or feeling “not good enough” because of the ungodly root of rejection that lives in their hearts. Rejection causes great emotional pain and is often the trigger behind people’s actions. Many times people act out with a “tough guy” (or girl) persona that is really masking the great hurt from the rejection in their hearts. Tattoos can be used to mask rejection by portraying an image that is not who the person really is on the inside. Sometimes people with rejection issues act in ways that cause others to reject them. There are some types of tattoos and some locations on the body that are never acceptable. Great care must be taken to discern the motive of the heart before anyone ever permanently alters his body with a tattoo. Tattoos Will Not Change Who You “Really Are” Getting a tattoo that says “courageous” does not impart courage any more than wearing a cowboy hat makes someone a cowboy. Tattoos will not “make you anything” other than the same person you were before, except now you have ink permanently embedded in your body. Examine your heart first, and if you recognize rebellion or rejection as your motive, and if you are not operating from a place of love and faith, do not get a tattoo. https://www.truthortradition.com/articles/what-does-the-bible-say-about-tattoos-can-a-christian-get-a-tattoo

  35. Every day is an adventure. Today, one of my congregants who suffered a stroke 2 months ago came to the house for dinner. So here we were -- 4 kids, myself and this man. I made Chicken Stir Fry, Rice, and salad along with challah. So the kids and I are discussing LGBT issues ... if you can believe that! It was a long lengthy conversation ... and more than interesting to say the least! My favorite part of the night was his retelling of how he broke out of the hospital! So he was in the hospital for a few days and wanted to leave ... but they wouldn't let him. So he snuck into the bathroom, placed his real clothes under his hospital clothes and snuck into bed. When the nurses came in and left ... he snuck out of his bed. Watched the desk .. and when the guy wasn't looking ... he made his daring escape. Knowing that he probably couldn't leave the front door ... he proceeded to the roof. And found a ladder that extended down to the garden below. He climbed down the ladder ... out the garden ... to the bus stop ... with no cash in hand ... a man just gave him 50 shekels to get home! And he was doing this all with tubes going out his nose ... things around his wrist! LOL! He was like nearly 80 year old James Bond ... I couldn't stop laughing ... Of course, I'm writing this on a Shabbat evening ... but I couldn't sleep ... so I thought I take one last look on the forums before I took off for the weekend. Have a blessed weekend ... and let every day be an adventure!

You cited verse 28. Verse 27 says that men are not to cut their hair at the temple [sideburns] nor their beards. You've seen the orthodox Jews today who still uphold the law who wear their hair like this. How do you reconcile not keeping this law.

  39. Shyness is a wonderful thing, like the little timid animals that can harm nobody, and when you are shy yourself, you can relate to them, and you know why God made them, because He is delicate enough to make everything so gentle and small, like Jesus had to be the Son of man, such a small way to be when He is the Lord God, riding on a donkey instead of on a throne, and it was a difficult life, which it is for anyone meek and lowly, but that is why the meek inherit the earth, they have sorrow, they feel too sensitive, but God is love, and they know Him. Psalm 138:6 Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off. Psalm 69:29 But I am poor and sorrowful: let thy salvation, O God, set me up on high. Isaiah 53:3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. Acts 4:30 By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holychild Jesus. Matthew 11:29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. Hebrews 7:26 For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Psalm 37:11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight themselves in the abundance of peace. Matthew 5:5 Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
