FULLY FREE Trust in Jesus; let Him save you Don't be adding to His grace If you do, you cancel mercy For you'll turn it on its face Jesus paid the price for sin So there is nothing you can do Yes, you love and serve God daily But it's Christ who lives through you He alone deserves the glory Jesus Christ must get it all We are only earthen vessels On our own we trip and fall We must never frustrate grace For it's a gift that's fully free Works can never add to all That Christ has done for you and me

  4. I attempt to give a Divine Council worldview of all things scriptural. I find much is missed by us and the apostles were well versed in Greek Mythology, where the Titans aligned with Daniel and the various supernatural elements of scripture. Daniel - Enoch - Titans and Sumerian texts get us out of the pews and into the supernatural workings of God in His environment - not just ours. The prophets all had this acute sense of the Divine Worldview and one has to see this to 'get it' correctly. So we are led to play church and sing songs that basically make us feel good. No one teaches the 'verboten' books because they are taught that inspiration is a paranormal thing, so don't mess with it. Totally wrong-headed. Sad. My people perish thru lack of knowledge...

  7. What my friends and I have done in limiting our internet use is at work in the greenhouse we have a communal laptop and it goes only to Worthy, Wikipedia, and the Weather Network. And then we put our name down for two half-hour time slots each day, or less. Then we don't get carried away online no matter how much fun we're having. And when we are online, at least we're learning and praying and having great fellowship. We don't use the chat room. No more social media. Because this laptop and a phone next to it are the only way I can get online, I no longer stay up really late watching videos or tv in my phone. Even 1 hour a day goes by so quickly.

  8. I'm going to tell you straight up that neither one of these options is viable or God-directed. [1] FAKING THE PEACE OF GOD Boy, have I ever been there and done that. I have anxiety/depression and most people in my "real life" don't know it because I don't share it. Faking one's emotional state isn't healthy. Because it's fake - it just aggravates the pain. But faking the peace of God is unbiblical and spiritually crippling. If you have truly given your life to Christ and follow God as a child of his and as a Christian, NEVER fake anything with God. Tell him the truth. Tell him you suffer. Tell others - in your REAL and daily life. Seek counseling from a trusted Christian. Keep reading the Bible. Keep praying. Seek out ways to serve God and serve others. Sing hymns. Dance around your living room. Reject the devil's lies. Cultivate friendships. But NEVER fake anything for or with God. [2] SUICIDE Yeah, I've been there too. I plotted my own death twice - once from a reaction to a neurological prescription med that carried a side effct of obsession with death. I told my doctor and he took me off of it. But it was very real to me in the moment. The other time, I went through a crisis that I could not handle and truly contemplated taking my own life. Why didn't I go through with it? I knew with 100% certainty that it was not what God wanted. So - I couldn't do it no matter how much it was tugging at me and driving me crazy. Depression doesn't help either, but I prevailed with God's help. This was very, very real. I knew it was a lie from the devil. God says in the Word that the devil is seeking to kill and destroy. I wasn't going to follow the devil in this matter no matter how much I was suffering. The devil is the one telling you that suicide is an option. It's a lie. I knew that my mother, father, and brother would never get over this. Ever. I would be destroying four lives instead of one. This is just my two cents worth to you.

  12. 1 Cor 4:9-13 9 For it seems to me that God has made an exhibit of us apostles, exposing us to view last [of all, like men in a triumphal procession who are] sentenced to death [and displayed at the end of the line]. For we have become a spectacle to the world [a show in the world’s amphitheater] with both men and angels [as spectators]. 10 We are [looked upon as] fools on account of Christ and for His sake, but you are [supposedly] so amazingly wise and prudent in Christ! We are weak, but you are [so very] strong! You are highly esteemed, but we are in disrepute and contempt! 11 To this hour we have gone both hungry and thirsty; we [[a]habitually] wear but one undergarment [and shiver in the cold]; we are roughly knocked about and wander around homeless. 12 And we still toil unto weariness [for our living], working hard with our own hands. When men revile us [[b]wound us with an accursed sting], we bless them. When we are persecuted, we take it patiently and endure it. 13 When we are slandered and defamed, we [try to] answer softly and bring comfort. We have been made and are now the rubbish and filth of the world [the offscouring of all things, the scum of the earth].

This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. (Post Modern religion) Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith. But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as theirs also was. (2 Timothy 3:1-9) Put a check mark by each descriptive above which accurately describes this generation we are living and you will know we are living in the "last days". There are 20+ descriptives, and all are accurate to today.

  17. R. Wurmbrand was pondering in prison one day the following: Moses asked God, “Let me cross over and see the good land beyond the Jordan.” The Lord answered, “Enough of that! Speak no more to Me of this matter” (Deuteronomy 3:25,26). Here is an instance not of an unanswered prayer, but of a prayer clearly refused. How does this fit with, “Ask and it will be given you”? Well, a little later, some 3,500 years (or, to use the biblical expression, “in those days”), Jesus was on Mount Tabor with His disciples and “Moses and Elijah appeared to them” (Matthew 17:3). Mount Tabor is in Canaan, beyond Jordan, in the Promised Land. So Moses’ request was finally granted, only with a few thousand years’ delay. Not much for one whose life is eternal. We pray often, but it is always in God's good timing.

  18. If ones money is in the bank, a credit union, an investment firm, 401k, IRA, HSA, or in the hands of any money changer, it's already controlled and can be taken away in moments. It's called frozen assets, but there is another way. From time to time over several years I have been contacted by the Fraud Department from my financial institution. They verify card activity for seemingly unusual purchases and to make sure it's still me authorizing others. If I do not answer Yes to the text messages my account is immediately shut down. I then have to go into the bank, sign some papers, get a new card, etc. We had an incident about 5 years ago where fraud was suspected and the bank shut down all the accounts, every customer issued new cards. A test? Trial run? I suppose I could have gone to get cash but who does that anymore? Everything in the financial world has been digital for many years and we all love to swipe plastic. It's super easy and quick. Except for the cash transaction every transaction is recorded and has been since the digital age in banking began in the 1990's, so this is nothing new. So then cash transactions would have to be curtailed and then stopped. Lots of people keep cash stashed somewhere. In the safe at home, a locker at the bus depot, a safe house, the gym, in the trunk of a car in long term parking, jars buried in the backyard, imagination is the only limit. Now the Government could outlaw cash or trade, etc. Of course this won't work because the world will continue on just as it is. There will be employers and employees, lenders and borrowers, nation will trade with nation, etc., and all are going to require tangible proof of assets. Just because it's on a printed page or scrawled in a dusty ledger does not mean there are assets behind the figures unless tangible assets exist. I cannot see the abolition of monies. What, are they going to burn 500 trillion in bills? Melt all the coin? How would a trade between neighbors of a goat for 5 chickens be stopped? But the best proof is in the verse itself. "It also forced all people, great and small, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hands or on their foreheads, so that they could not buy or sell unless they had the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name." -Rev 13 The idea here is not 'cashless society' it's the division of loyalty between the world and our Lord and Savior. In order to 'buy' or 'sell' the mark of the beast is required. Meaning the freedom of commerce exists if one sports the mark. The words for 'buy' and 'sell' connote purchasing offered goods which cannot occur unless one's loyalty is unquestioned and a proof exists, which is the mark of the beast. So let's say it does mean cashless society. The printed bills of all nations are burned and all the coin is melted, no more fiat monies exist. Paper trade for usable goods would spring to life immediately as promissory notes. Partly I suppose because it's easy to trade and cash is burned in the psyche, and the world loves money. Anyway, enough of the boring rant. It's not about the money, it's about loyalty.

  19. Agreed. From the get go Augustine made sure that Hebrews were marginalized so no one would study the truth of the law and the prophets. Out silly theology is based on Milton and other whimsical people. The law was given for TRANSGRESSIONS (plural) and points of the horrors of Gen 6 that just about destroyed the planet. Hence the flood. And silly humans have now invited these unholy spirits into their lives and the result will be terrible. 'As in the days of Noah...' has terrifying implications for us. The final battle for the Throne will be so bad we can not really find words to imagine it all. So we invent ideas and recapitulate our mental abilities, check in our brains at the church door and suck on the teat of easy-peasy teachings. We semm to be in total denial.

  22. First Tyler let me say that the advice from Jayne and Who Me are solid advice (I didn't really read any others). So I would only add that if you truly have Faith in Christ and His Sacrifice that is necessary for Salvation and you still have these feelings why not instead of trying to find God's love in the quiet time, try getting out and doing what Christ taught us to do, share God's love with those in your corner of the world that are in need. Share that love however you can and with whatever talents or earthly wealth you have at your disposal. You'll find that God rewards efforts of this nature and you'll find that He'll fill your heart with the joy that comes from helping others along the way and the peace and love that only God can impart. Not to mention the gratification of just knowing you were a blessing to someone and that God has blessed you accordingly. Christ taught a Gospel of action and when you put it into action the blessings will begin to flow in ways you can only imagine. Just be sure and give God the glory every time and He'll keep the blessings flowing. In the end you may find yourself just praising God and asking for the strength to do it all again tomorrow so as to keep the blessings coming. But remember it's a two way street, as God sends the blessings you must share them in order that He will refill them or they will dry up as soon as you start trying to hoard them for yourself or take credit for the works which God has wrought! Hope that helps and God Bless.

  25. What are you trusting in for your salvation? Is it Jesus's death and resurrection or your feelings? Do you believe that Jesus paid for your sins, took your punishment, that he has given you his rightousness and that it is Jesus who is holding on to your faith? Was Paul correct when he said that there is Nothing, that is right Nothing in all creation that is able to separate you from the love of Jesus. If you believe this what is the problem. God sent his Son to be beaten half to death and then to hang from nail driven through his wrists untill he lacked the strength to push himself up on the nail through his feet, so he could breath. As his legs lost strength his body dropped onto his outstreched arms driving the air out of his lings and forcing him to push down on the nail in his feet and so on for six(6) long hours. He did this because he Loves you. Note that this is present tense, he loves you now and will continue to love you.

  28. Such a rich and beautiful song!!! This, folks, is what real repentance looks like. Not just a quick and glib, "Forgive me, God" that lasts half of a second and is said out of habit. You CAN say a mere, "Forgive me, God" if as David says, the "heart is contrite". If the heart is not contrite - no amount of words said to God will do.

  29. DAY 62 - PSALM 51 [Book 2] Create in Me a Clean Heart, O God To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. 5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin did my mother conceive me. 6 Behold, you delight in truth in the inward being, and you teach me wisdom in the secret heart. 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. 9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. 11 Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. 15 O Lord, open my lips, and my mouth will declare your praise. 16 For you will not delight in sacrifice, or I would give it; you will not be pleased with a burnt offering. 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. 18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; 19 then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar.

  38. Not me, For both OT and NT believer’s salvation is by grace through faith. Paul quotes from Habakkuk : the just shall live by faith" 3 times in the NT. And this is how both OT and NT believers are perfected: by grace through faith ( Hebrews 11- by faith Abraham, by faith Moses , by faith the walls of Jericho fell, by faith they kept the sprinkling of blood, ). But now that we have been saved by faith, this is how we are to live holy lives. You have an obligation to walk in God’s commandments. How you live determine not your salvation but your eternal rewards. God gave Israel the Torah meaning teaching for walking with God. But the scribes and the Pharisee took the Torah and perverted it. On the sermon of the Mount Jesus explained that the purpose of the 10 commandments : with the commandments do not murder . It was God"s intention in giving this commandment that you cannot keep it by your own self effort. If you have resentment forgiveness in your heart towards another, you are already operating in the spirit of murder. You need God's grace to be able to forgive. You need God's grace to resit the spirit of adultery. Jesus explained that if you have lust in your heart, you have already committed adultery. The Pharisee had left off the righteousness which is by faith to establish their own righteousness by works and doing . Hence the terms " the works of the law" which is all doing by your own self effort. The pharisee have narrowed down the 10 commandments so that they can keep it without God's grace. anyone with a religious spirit can keep the commandment if you narrow down its definition. Not ME, you and I agree but we are talking pass each other. Jesus said that the purpose of all the Law and the prophets is to make you love God with all your heart and love your neighbor as yourself. You need God's grace to keep the Torah. That's was God's intention all along. On these 2 commandments hang all the Law and the prophets. All the OT heroes lives by faith for without faith it is impossible to please God. The bible commands to to follow their examples : be followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises of God. It is the Pharisee that had perverted it by making it all doing so that they can keep it by their own self effort. The Law of the Lord The Law of the Lord is perfect converting the soul . David a man after God;s own heart : this is how he felt about the Law of God: Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long. ( Psalm 119:97) I rejoice at your word, as one that finds great spoil.( Psalm 119:162) And I will walk at liberty: for I seek your precepts.( Psalm 119:45). No wonder James refers to OT scripture as the laws of liberty whose delight is in the law of the LORD, and who meditates on his law day and night.( Psalm 1). You will prosper, you will bear forth fruit and you become like a tree planted near the rivers of water if you keep the Torah. Israel as a nation went about to establish their own righteousness Israel as a nation left the righteousness which is by faith and went about to establish their own righteousness by works and doing. That was the whole problem with the Galatians. They had been saved by faith. But those of the circumcision came and told them they have to be circumcised to be saved. its faith and circumcision to be saved. Circumcision is a sign of becoming a proselyte Jew. When you become a proselyte , you have to keep the torah as perverted by the pharisee and all their oral laws ( a yoke of bondage and works ) which is not by faith. Christ in you the hope of glory The 10 table of stones ( 10 commandments ) was placed in the ARK. Ark is Christ . The Law in Christ . I delight to do your will oh God for your Laws are written in my heart. The Torah in Christ , then Christ in You the hope of glory. That's how NT believers are now keeping the Torah today.

  40. I can't personally speak for anyone else on this topic but, I know exactly what you mean and it happens to me now and again. Out of the blue memories will return of things I did bad [sin's] I did long ago and feel guilty and ashamed. I had confessed those sins in prayer and asked forgiveness previously. I know I am forgiven of those sins and they will be remembered no more by the Lord; those confessed sins are separated from me as far as the East is from the West, and covered by the blood of the Lamb. Yet Satan and his minions will keep throwing those back into your face [spiritual warfare] and accuse you, and try to make your life miserable and for you to doubt, stumble and fall. Many, most or all of us struggle in the flesh with the exact things you are bringing up. The Devil works hard trying to separate us from walking in the foot steps of Christ, living a righteous life and following Christ. The dark side knows our weaknesses and vulnerabilities better than we do. That's why it's imperative to put on the 'whole' armor of God: Ephesians 6:13 (KJV) Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Notice we stand and resist, using the tools available to each of us the Lord has given. I have to personally admit in my own life, I have failed at times to put on the armor of God and paid the price for not doing so.

  43. @Abdicate Regarding the general approach to end times bible prophecy. All of end times bible prophecy has been presented to man in segments. Each segment only contains partial information. The segments may cover the entire 7 years, or maybe only half of the 7 years, or maybe prior to the 7 years and end of the 7 years. Daniel 7:19-27 , for example, is a segment, covers the little horn, his beginning and his end. But it doesn't mention the abomination of desolation, for example. Matthew 24:14-31 is another segment. It doesn't say anything though about the vial judgements, for example. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Wouldn't it be amiss, if someone said, for example, that Daniel 7:19-27 must take place before Matthew 24:14-31? Similarly, that's what you have done with the seals and the two witnesses. The seals in Revelation 6 are a segment of prophecy. They span the entire 7 years. They don't all have to be complete before the death of the two witnesses and their coming back to life. Neither do the trumpets. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Separately Revelation 11:3-11:13 is also segment. About the two witnesses. _________________________________________________________________________________________________ Revelation 12:6-17 is also a segment. Addressing specifically Israel and the Jews. Those are just some examples. All of the end time bible prophecies have been presented that way to man - in segments. Within each segments there appears to be chronologically driven order given. But then we have to figure out how that information fits in conjunction with the information in the other segments.

  44. Matthew 6:19-21 Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. My wife has had an interesting life. Here, she shares a small portion of her past: I was born in Israel. My parents divorced when I was a toddler and my mother met and married a hippie American tourist who was searching his roots in Israel at the time. Later, we went back to the States with him. Little did we realize that he was heavily addicted to drugs and this among other things made for a very unhappy family and little on which to live. Every once in a while my father in Israel would send money for my mother to buy an airline ticket for me to visit him and the rest of my family. One particular year when I about eleven or twelve, he gave me a nice chunk of spending money for the duration of my trip, the equivalence of two hundred and fifty dollars or so. When my time in Israel that summer was coming to an end and I realized I had hardly touched that money, I decided keep it and not tell him or anyone else. I mean, my dad had assumed I'd spent it, right? No one would have to know, "I reasoned." I'd take it back with me and have lots of money to spend when I returned to Israel the next time. When I got back to America, I put that stash away in a little jewelry box on my dresser. No matter how poor we were, I always secretly felt rich knowing that stash was there. The next summer, my father sent for me again. Before I left, I was sure not to forget to put my saved shekels deep in my pocket, as not to lose them. I was the richest girl in the world! But when I reached Israel this time, my father gave me money unlike the kind I had in my pocket. It looked funny -- not at all like my long-awaited spending stash. It was different in color and had a different design. "That's strange," I thought, "How could this be?" To my great dismay, the currency had changed to the New Israeli Shekel while I was away. The money I had was absolutely worthless now. I was sick to my stomach. What a waste! And worse, I couldn't even tell my dad. A wise man once said, "Greed is the logical result of the belief that there is no life after death. We grab what we can while we can however we can and then hold on to it hard." Our Father has given us some spending money, hasn't He? And sadly, it is our tendency as human beings to want to keep it to ourselves. Let's not hoard what He has freely given us. Let's freely bless people around us in need, whether it is with our finances, our possessions, our time and energy or comfort. There is a lot more where those came from. And we can't take it with us anyway -- the currency is different in heaven! The post Let it go! appeared first on Worthy Christian Devotional - Daily Devotions. Read the entire devotional.

  45. The term illeism is sometimes used to describe referring to oneself in the 3rd person. It's been long noted in scripture. In the OT, God often referred to Himself in the 3rd person. Jesus referred to himself as the "son of man". Paul's discourse in II Corinthians 12 about a man caught up into heaven is considered by a number of scholars to be self-referential. Outside of the Bible, it is a somewhat common rhetorical and literary method. Some writers choose 3rd person to avoid constantly interjecting I and me everywhere. It takes the reader's attention to what is being talked about rather than the author's direct involvement. I've read and heard various personal testimonies where someone wrote or talked about a topic in the 3rd person and then revealed it was about themselves at the end. One example is a speaker I heard who was talking about bullying in school. He started off talking about the out of place kid and the various things others did to that kid. Then at the end, he revealed he was talking about himself. He didn't want people focused on feeling sorry for him. He wanted them focused on the acts and tragedy of bullying which he described in the 3rd person and then by shifting to 1st person at the end, he added much more authority to his presentation. The author of John's Gospel likely didn't want to draw attention to himself but rather to what he'd seen Jesus do only bringing himself in at the end to point out everything prior was directly witnessed rather than hearsay. My understanding is that the scholarly debate over the authorship of the Johannine books (Gospel of John, 3 epistles of John, and Revelation) is usually focused on the testimony of early church fathers and other such historical evidence as well as internal information in the book rather than the overall choice of 1st or 3rd person for the majority of the book. If someone is looking for complete and absolute proof of authorship, it doesn't exist. However, as far as I can tell, the evidence seems consistent with John the son of Zebedee being either the direct author or the source of the material.

  46. I have all and I abound . Paul wrote from prison awaiting a possible execution sentence . You all know why he could write that , EVEN after being stripped of all ........ BECAUSE JESUS WAS HIS ALL . There is hope in nothing else . GOD gives and HE takes away . But all things HE DOES is for our good . AND we ought to rejoice because the GOOD LORD has GIVEN US LIFE IN JESUS and has taken away our death sentence we earned . YEP . ITS AN ALL OUT , HANDS UP PRAISE TO THE LORD .

  47. The remarkable thing about the bible is that it does not hide man's weaknesses. All the heroes of faith had profound weaknesses . Abraham life story is not about a man who never stumble. His life story is about a man who went after Gods heart and as a result his faith grew from one level of glory to another. That's how we are meant to live : from one level of faith to a higher level of faith ( from faith to faith ).

  48. women look for a best friend for marriage, and she won't settle for cohabiting if she is a genuine christian. As for mental illness etc. it depends on what type and if it is easily controlled by meds. Aspergers I wouldn't worry much. Having worked with that and the spectrum, they are too loose in the diagnosis.

  49. Please be very careful about potential future prospects in a serious relationship with persons you've met online. Please. These things have more than often ended in tragedy, due to the sense they enter in so commonly as an illusion of fantasy. I'm very serious about this. Take plenty of time getting to know the real person, and do not be anxious to become overly attached. Sounds like this girl has some issues, with more indications of emotional problems. Tread lightly. When meeting someone, we as people always put on our best of personal charms. Be not deceived in getting too involved right away. Sorry I can't be more positive for you, but I'm getting a lot of red flags concerning this. Internet romances are not the 'real world' as we know it.
