  1. To Obey God To obey God is a pleasure. It's not something that I dread. Walking worthy? Pure enjoyment! By His Spirit, I am led. Meditating on the scriptures, Nourishing my soul each day. His instructions I delight in. It's a privilege to obey! I'm not scared I'll lose salvation. Jesus keeps me through the years. His commandments are no burden. For I serve from love, not fears. Motive is what really matters. I'm not quaking in my boots. Jesus saved and daily keeps me. I am grounded in His roots. I'm a branch producing fruit For I'm abiding in the Vine. It is due to Him (and not me) That eternal life is mine. Do I value living holy? Praise the Lord - I really do! It is Christ within who strengthens me And helps me to be true. It is He that's living through me And His Law is my delight. As I trust Him, I will please Him For I walk by faith, not sight.

  2. "When the Bible says 'lean not on your own understanding', the Bible is being serious. Your heart is deceitful, your emotions fluctuate, your understanding does not see the overall, big picture. God never lies, God never changes, and God knows all. TRUST him." [I can't find the author's name]

  10. Hi, I suggest that it is very wrongheaded thinking to disregard learning mathematics. The person that does not understand mathematics will not understand much of anything, will be a drag upon society, their own family, and really even their self. Being a dolt that cannot even make "change for a dollar" is not cool, it is economically devastating. How does the farmer calculate the need of his fields? How does an architect quantify his designs? How does a cook make a loaf of bread even? Without knowledge of math they would each produce only one folly after another and go broke only be so ignorant they would be the last to know of it. What is it that anyone might want to do? Learn the math of it, and it will become something that one may be proficient at doing; don't learn the math and they will be just an idle dreamer, and eventually just another loser complainer wondering why not them and yet someone else has the success. Each are to run the race as though to finish first! If one can't even measure the distance of the course, nor comprehend what distance means how is one to even begin to compete. Don't tolerate in self the lazy person's excuses. Instead compete like no one else, never quit, never! Work it all out, it will add up to success.

  11. I was watching the Japanese news on NHK two nights ago. They were praising the President for getting a new trade deal with Japan. Apparently, tariffs will be much, much lower so this really benefits American farmers. They were showing the multitude of agriculture that the U.S. farmers can now export to Japan with the reduced tariffs. Several farmers were at the meeting and were extremely happy about the new trade deal. I often watch Japanese news and they regularly have good things to report on President Trump. Nice to hear positive things for a change!

And the Spirit of the Lord will rest on him— the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.” Isaiah 11:1-2 When I see (Holy) Spirit in everything, Peace is at hand. - Jonathan Lockwood Huie

  13. Do not worry unduly. Folk watch all kinds of trash on TV and read stupid books on prophesy. We all have to become scholars. They look at texts and verify what is written by MANY peer reviews. They use their minds as God intended. The church folk have been misled to believe they are incapable of learning from ancient texts. Fear has driven them away from perfectly good material that Yeshua and all the apostles read. If you can verify a text based on critical analysis of word forms, Targums, Hebrew and Greek is it easy to see what is what. Don't let the theologians dictate what you can think. Study and keep studying well, for YOURSELF.

The book of Joshua also mentioned the book of jasher which is not accepted by scholars, but the book of jasher n the book of Enoch was preserved in many generation by the jews, Jude quoted it i think he knew better than us, though some verses may hv been altered now. Its the only book that explained the world of the fallen angels who taught mankind many skills such as sorceries, mining, etc n created monsters n explained the inprisonment of azazel in the bottomless pit, the Hebrew gave two goats for atonement, one for God, one for azazel to b thrown away at the desert because azazel is bound at the desert until now.

  20. Just got a call from the company I have been wanting to work for! I got a job interview tomorrow! I have been praying about this! I am also kind of nervous because I have been a stay at home mom for about 14 years! But now that my daughter is in high school, I think it is time for me to go back to work. I'm very excited!

  21. Well. Don't know anything yet. I worked for their company before my daughter was born. When he asked me why I wanted to come back and work for them I told him this was the best company I ever worked for! And I that enjoyed coming to work when I was there! Meant that too! I told him I needed Sunday or every other Sunday off so I could go to church. He asked if I could work a Sunday afternoon like 2pm. I told him that would work just as long as I can go to church int he morning. I feel it is best to be upfront about these things. So I am at a "wait and see".

  22. Hitler was rotten and most likely a reprobate, but we were all rotten at one time. Satan controlled us all at one time. I think it is inappropriate for a sinful created being to speak like that concerning other created beings. 1Ti 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief. Don’t get me wrong, hitler was evil, and probably is in hell right now, but if he ended up in heaven he would not be the same guy

  23. If Hitler repented and accepted Jesus Christ...and made it to heaven... Where is any of our authority to choose heavenmates superior to Gods? We will not be one bit holier than Hitler if we meet him in heaven.

  25. @Abdicate You and I know the Bible clearly teaches the rapture, but there are genuine saints who believe different. They believe they have to go through the great tribulation or such. It hurts to see someone doubt the blessed hope, but they are saved by faith in Christ, not whether they believe in the rapture.

  26. Amen, I hope and I will be in prayer for this kind of anointing to follow His steps: 1 Peter 2:21 21To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. John 14:12 12Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Image: extraordinaryjeni.wordpress.com Matthew 9:35 35Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. Acts 10:38 38how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him. Matthew 4:23-25 23Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people. 24News about him spread all over Syria, and people brought to him all who were ill with various diseases, those suffering severe pain, the demon-possessed, those having seizures, and the paralyzed; and he healed them. 25Large crowds from Galilee, the Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea and the region across the Jordan followed him. Love always, Walter

  28. Matthew 20 ► New International Version Par ▾ The Parable of the Workers in the Vineyard 1“For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire workers for his vineyard. 2He agreed to pay them a denarius a for the day and sent them into his vineyard. 3“About nine in the morning he went out and saw others standing in the marketplace doing nothing. 4He told them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard, and I will pay you whatever is right.’ 5So they went. “He went out again about noon and about three in the afternoon and did the same thing.6About five in the afternoon he went out and found still others standing around. He asked them, ‘Why have you been standing here all day long doing nothing?’ 7“ ‘Because no one has hired us,’ they answered. “He said to them, ‘You also go and work in my vineyard.’ 8“When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, beginning with the last ones hired and going on to the first.’ 9“The workers who were hired about five in the afternoon came and each received a denarius. 10So when those came who were hired first, they expected to receive more. But each one of them also received a denarius.11When they received it, they began to grumble against the landowner. 12‘These who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the work and the heat of the day.’ 13“But he answered one of them, ‘I am not being unfair to you, friend. Didn’t you agree to work for a denarius? 14Take your pay and go. I want to give the one who was hired last the same as I gave you. 15Don’t I have the right to do what I want with my own money? Or are you envious because I am generous?’ 16“So the last will be first, and the first will be last.”

  29. Ideal jobs are hard to come by, and even more difficult in these times to keep. Hang on to it. Making mistakes are normal even under the best of circumstances. It obviously wasn't a big deal, or your boss would be the first to let you know. Relax.

  31. In a sermon Dr. Criswell gave once, he shared these words: "The liberal drowns the faith in honeyed words and soft, sentimental, inclusive pronouncements. In apostolic days conviction and persuasion was so deep in them that they faced lions rather than give up an iota of their commitment to Christ. These men did not make the doctrine, but heaven-revealed doctrine made the men. Strength, conviction, and power lies in the faith." The ages have not abandoned that: 2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV) 7 For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline.

  33. Hi TRlover, I made a mistake last month at work that involved a contract. I felt bad and apologized to the people involved. I owned up to it and didn't make excuses. However, here is the words of wisdom that was given to me by a very kind leader in our organization. He said that everyone makes mistakes no matter what level of profession you are in and how careful you try to be. He said I was being too hard on myself. He then proceeded to give me examples of people I knew who had made major mistakes and himself included. This humble man restored helped me to see we are not infallible. You stated you enjoyed your new job and your boss was kind. I highly encourage you to stick to it. You will build character, confidence and experience through this. Also, if your boss is a believer that is even better. He knows who is higher "boss" is and will be patient and understanding with the people he works with.

  37. Amen! He is very well loved and people have put him on a major pedestal. He is probably just known in New York, Chicago, DC and Iowa, but he is very powerful and admired, I'm sure that made him believe he could say or do anything. Some people worship church leaders and the pride that comes from that is dangerous.

  38. Yes, he should. This is a serious felony and punishable by law. There are some well known cases in the 1980's like Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker. Swaggart's was sexual, Bakker's was both a sexual situation, with the inclusion of a cover-up over financial misspending of funds. Neither stepped down, but they should have. Bakker did spend time in prison following a lengthy court hearing, however. It took the wind out of his sails temporarily, but he's back at the helm again and going strong.

  41. Well Peeday, It seems despite the advice given you are unwilling to break the trust of this "close friend". Your friend is even counting on you to keep silent if he proceeds with the crime. At this point, you have to carefully ponder what God says in His Word about keeping company with others who do criminal activity. You get tainted with them. I know this is not a easy decision to make, but even if I had such a friend who gave me the amount of trust you have for each other, I could not keep silent if the crime as you say is a serious one was committed. I don't know if you are a believer but God in His Word tells us not to please man but to please Him. I would pray for guidance and strength in doing the right thing.
