Personally, ...if I had to do it all over again, ...I wouldn't rely on the Church to teach my children, Father gave my children to me and they are just on loan, one day I will have to give an accounting to Him, ...I would teach my girls about the love of Christ, beginning at birth I would whisper in their ears, "Jesus loves you," "Jesus died for you," You need Jesus," and instill in them as they were growing up the Love Christ has for them and to love Him back with all of their heart, mind, soul and body, ...and that their "chastity" is the most precious gift they can give to their husband... I wonder just how many of these are accurate. I see articles come out like this all the time, especially from the gun control crowd, that fail to accurately represent past incidents such as the Oklahoma City bombing. With that said at least the article does touch on non firearm incidents, but it still seems focused on gun violence. Even if stats are true, which they probably are true, the blame is placed on the wrong thing. While this article is written with less noticeable bias then many others, it's obvious the conclusion they want you to come to is firearms are to blame, which is not the case. Nor the solution. The problem is we live in an increasingly moralless society, turning more and more from God everyday. Americans no longer value life like they once did. And until we change that the violence will continue to get worse.

It is because I do as ordered— I REST in the Gospel Of 1cor15:1-4. Hebrews 4:11 is where God gives His stern warning—- “ Let us labor to enter into that rest, lest any man FALL after the same example of UNBELIEF” God has vowed not to give rest to those that refuse to rest in His Gospel. According to Paul , Faith in The Gospel Given to Him by Jesus, is the Way To Salvation.True Faith is synonymous with Rest.Joy and Peace will be elusive, if not impossible for those that doubt the Promises Of God.Rest in the Gospel Of Grace, being Assured that ALL of your sins are on the Cross— BELIEVE God when He says “ I will remember your sins NO MORE.” I believe that .That’s why I Rest.

As for fornication, in Biblical times people seemed to marry right after puberty. Trying to stay a virgin until you’re thirty is difficult.

I will be very careful in what I say next , because I do not want this to seem mean spirited or that I hold any grudges against folks . I don't . But yall gotta know by now , I know I am not liked , yet I change not and wont change . There is also something else I would like to explain . Paul knew he was saved , Yet he also knew if he himself continued not to keep his body under subjection he too would be cast out . Knowing that if we don't endure faithful to the end in JESUS , IS NOT DOUBTING the finished work of JESUS , ITS TRUSTING JESUS WHO SAID IT FIRST . SO I take GOD at his WORD . I KNOW I am saved by grace alone , FOR IT was GOD alone who drew me to CHRIST and I know that by Faith in Christ alone , I am justified . But I also know , FROM THE SAME GOD and the aposetles , IF WE DONT continue IN HIM IN HIS GOODNESS , then we will be cast out . THEY said it , so I say it . CONTINUE IN JESUS with all HOPE IN HE ALONE and BE YE and WALK YE HOLY . FOR WHOM we obey is whose we are . But folks act like if one says , We must continue IN CHRIST or in the goodness of GOD , we aint trusting IN JESUS . But that is so far from the truth . FOR even paul knew it and taught it , EVEN PETER knew it and taught it and even peter said , SEEING you KNOW these things , BEWARE CHURCH , lest you also be taken in with the error of the wicked and FALL from your own steadfastness. But try saying that today , AND ya get accused of not trusting GOD . CLEARLY we must obey and FOLLOW HE who has saved us and is able to keep us from falling FIRM TO THE END . But say that , and folks accuse you of not trusting in JESUS . YET JESUS SAID IT FIRST .

They don't really believe in Jesus, that's the whole point. They could have mental assent to facts; but they don't believe in him (trust in, cling to and rely upon him, in a relationship that works by love).

Amen...."Their own hardened heart prevents it happening." Exactly! And that's just what the scripture says in Hebrews 3....hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. They are choosing to disobey the gospel rather than obeying it....can't be doing both things at once, obeying the gospel and disobeying it willfully...that's just impossible. Disobeying the gospel means you are not under it. Trampling the blood of Christ underfoot, taking it for granted, treating it lightly instead of reverencing and appreciating His sacrifice and endeavouring to give the Lord His due. We are not our own, but were bought with a price....and it costs us everything to follow Him.

I think law enforcement should use drones to survey traffic. I see all kind of crazy things happening on our highways. There is not enough law to go around to do an adequate policing of the automobiles on our streets and freeways and hiways. People are getting away with all kind of crazy driving. A drone hoving above all the streets and hiways would solve the problem. It would have the capabilities of getting the make and license plate number of the vehicle and even the person driving. I think it would make a huge difference in the way people drive when their lack of respect in our hiway laws would come out of their pocket book.

Absolutely. And our goal as Christians should be to follow the commands of Christ. That said, there are many who teach the importance of saving yourself for marriage, but they themselves didn’t do it because they came to Christ in their forties or fifties or later.So, it’s hard for them to understand the temptations and even the physical struggle of trying to remain chaste until married, especially if you don’t know if you’ll ever get married. There needs to be a serious and honest conversation in the church about sex. Starting with is it really a horrific sin if you fail to wait until marriage? Abstinence should be the goal, but is that realistic in every situation? There were some things going on with concubines in the Old Testament that confuses me about whether remaining chaste is actually a commandment. Anyway, I’m teaching my kids to wait until married for lots of reasons, but I think it will be hard if they are not married in their early twenties. I’m not going to call them a filthy beast that’s rebelling against God if they mess up. Man, I’m going to enjoy these precious years while they’re still young and innocent.

Well said, Brother. The 10 Commandments are the Law of Moses boiled down to their basic elements. Jesus boiled it down even more... Matthew 22:36–40 (AV) 36 Master, which is the great commandment in the law? 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. These are the basis of the Law and Grace, in fact. Love.

If the first seal is the church why would John wept so much because the church was not a secret to John, as John himself part of the early church with Jesus. Very funny that John wept and then he saw something not a secret to him. Why wud God hide church evangelism with a seal ? ITS already known to people.

Churchianity and Christianity are not the same thing, Not always. There are times in History times of revival when Churchianity is in line with Christianity, But the Body of Christ is distinct from the corporate institutional church. The Problems you describe are church problems, not Christian problems. It is the church institution that falls away, that dilutes faith, loses its savor becomes Laodicea. Born again believers never do. Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. (phil. 2:12) It does not say your corporate salvation. When the church is no more as a viable institution, there will remain the saints. When the church of Laodicea dies out, there will not be another church age, Only the saints will remain.

Thanks for that reminder . I should say , if we don't make our last stand now , against this false unity , if we don't contend for the true faith , then that site will be lost . We must only have true unity with those who truly do love JESUS , all else is false unity and wont bode well .

Actually, real "pain" was invented by God in us as human bodies as a WARNING SIGN that something is physically wrong! It's not evil in itself; as a matter of fact, although we're not told this, Adam and Eve were probably created with pain receptors in their COMPLETE nervous system! It's a POSITIVE feedback to make us jerk away or otherwise protect ourselves from physical harm. Thinking that "pain" is a liability is probably why the Greeks thought that the physical world was incompatible with the spiritual, and their thinking was passed on to us through men like Philo, Clement of Alexandria, and Origen. I STRONGLY urge people to get a copy of Randy Alcorn's book Heaven and Read Appendix A: "Christoplatonism's False Assumptions." (And, no, I don't get any kickbacks from the endorsement.) He and I don't see eye-to-eye on his interpretation of "heaven," but I believe he has hit the nail on the head when it comes to this appendix. The book is worth buying for this appendix alone (IMO)! Here's two important paragraphs from that appendix: "Christoplatonism" is a word he has coined to speak of the Platonic influence within Christianity, introduced long, long ago. Randy Alcorn notes that Philo lived from 20 B.C. to A.D. 50, Clement of Alexandria lived from 150 to 215 A.D., and Origen lived from 185 to 254 A.D. These men, using the "new" (at their time) allegorical method of interpretation, made this Platonism compatible with Christianity (and Judaism). Mr. Alcorn also said, Now, you said, "My hermeneutic view is all humans and spiritual beings were created with eternal souls / spirits and can not die in the spirit or soul." Paul just got through saying that he keeps under his body and brings it into subjection, so that after preaching to others, he won't be a castaway, not so he won't lose his ministry. Your interpretation makes no sense. He is saying he led others to be saved but he can still be lost. That is in 1 Corinthians 9:24-27.

Paul said he kept his body in subjection so that after preaching the gospel to others, he wouldn't be a castaway.

By the way, I believe the elect are kept, but only God knows who they are because he knows who will endure till the end. People can think they are saved when they are not.

Unrepentant rapists and murderers have not been saved. By their fruit you will know them.

Some people who believe in OSAS, believe that, once you have made a decision to follow the Lord, you can live like a pig and still go to heaven. POTS teaches that salvation is of the Lord. He saves, He keeps and those He saves and keeps are preserved, so they persevere in the faith to the end.

What is the difference in perseverance of the saints and OSAS?

Personally, I do work to "get" rich! Here, I'll say it again, ...I work to "get" rich!!! I work many hours of overtime, both on normal work days, Saturdays and often many holidays...., But I never tell my boss, ...however, ...my Heavenly Father is keeping very accurate records and I'm "storing" up treasure in Heaven..., and I'm convinced Heavenly riches are much more valuable than earthly riches that rust and rot away! I hear ya brother, ...supposed is right, ...I lived in Bakersfield CA, right smack dab in the middle of oil rich Kern County, ...there was so much gas they were filling the tanks of every abandoned gas station in town, ...then the black market flourished, pickup beds filled with tanks and battery powered pumps, ...just pull over a tank and pump the gas out and sell it, ...funny thing, ...they came back when the tank was pumped empty and, ...fill it again, ...do you suppose the oil companies were the ones selling the black market gas?
