I think it is important to remember that when we see a posting , that may represent a person whose heart may already be breaking. We don't have to fully understand or agree w/ their circumstances but we should make certain that are words are "salt and light" and not "salt in the wound".9 points

I love God's Word and it will be as it is literally scripted... for this is it's intended purpose in the living 2 Ti 3:14-17 14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; 15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. Hey Patriot, So glad that you decided to add another post. It is good to read and gives something to think about. I love the example you gave about King David being both a loving man and a warrior. Hope that you will continue to share. Blessings4 points

sorry for the late reply, Some from personal experience, I tend to be a loner, others from observations of those around me. I am no psycologist, this, and the following blogs are not from a "professional" standpoint by any stretch, they are merely my thoughts, experiences and observations of people in my life.4 points

This has been written for some time, but this piece of what Pat has written here is "timeless". I would say what he has written is indeed insightful and (not but) i like to add. I think, there is "the loner" inside each of us; just to a different degree, just like what Pat has said, "each loner is different". There is part of us where we would want to be "left alone". There are some "loners" out there who do not hide themselves physically from people at all. They laugh, joke, voice out their opinions and well they may even be one who takes the centre stage or are often, (if not always) , the centre of attention. These people often make their presence felt, it seems like they "have it all", but nothing is further from the truth. Behind the scenes, they fight their own battles in life, where they silently struggle, their battles unknown to many. These type of loner understands for they usually have the best of both worlds; putting some part of themselves "out there" and some part locked "in there". Perhaps this is true for the majority of us. I am one such person. Now going back to pat's article... oh i certainly agree that once we reach out to the loners or "hermits", as they are often described, we would be amazed at what they have to offer. I personally have had and still have the experience of reaching out to them. More often than not, they become the source of comfort or a pillar of strength for me instead! They amaze me with their intelligence and "who would have thought they actually have deep understandings on matters that even "normal everyday people" are not aware of. And yes, as reserved or as expressionless they seem on the outside, they have a broken, battered heart that is filled with emphaty, compassion, love and understanding within them. (i could add more adjectives here.. but we all get the point). When chanelled correctly, they can indeed be an instrument that God can use to richly bless others. I personally can say they have been such a blessing for me in my life. God can use anyone living under any condition or circumstance to impact people's lives at any place, any time. To these loners who has deeply enrich my life, i take this opportunity to praise God and thank you from the bottom of my battered and broken heart for being there for me, for noticing me, for being my guiding light.4 points

Your article made me think that we are all loners in the sense that...... we are all looking to connect with others and especially Our Lords' Will, that we have estranged.4 points

To answer the questions, no, I do not know where my friends are going, God does! Have I done anything about it? My friends have been told, informed, warned etc., but I cannot believe for them. However, there are thousands of people who are not my friends, that I have not done anything about. All I can say there, is that I have been lazy, and obviously I do not care enough about their eternal destiny, to overcome the social awkwardness of giving them the information I they desperately need. When I fail to let anyone know, about their need of Jesus, I am proving that I do not love them nor do I love God, as much, as I would like to have people think, or as much as I wish I did. I do not expect one day to hear: "Well done, my good and faithful servant" I expect to hear: "You were a wicked and lazy servant, but I love you and died for you, welcome anyway!"4 points

Shalom 1xlis1, The positions in the ministry aren't based on participation. However, the more you post, obviously the better we understand individuals and make judgments based on it. Your brother in the Lord with much agape love, George2 points

Thanks for bringing me up to date on these important facts. I always wondered what a Moderation Point was. And the transparency commitment is great. I have noticed it once in awhile in the forums. I do have one question concerning the 4 Worthy position titles . . . . . . . . How often per week does a member need to visit Worthy to be considered for one of those positions. Do they need to sign in everyday? God Bless 1x12 points

Edit May 1st, 2020: I just wanted to add that an error on our server has corrupted a small part of our user database, such that some posts are credited to "Guest". This is one such post. This post was authored by Omegaman 3.0 - End of edit. Your reply touches on something that is always an issue, the idea of interpretation. Whether I am correct or not, I cannot prove nor know for certain. Call it my best educated guess after studying the topic for 35 years as of 2014. I believe I am right of course, otherwise I would change my view, lol. If I come across some evidence to warrant a change, I WILL change my view, perhaps some day, someone will present convincing evidence that I am in error, if I do not discover it myself. Where I think my understanding and belief is different from many, is that I try not to interpret at all, I just read, and try to understand. If you read my post, and I assume you did, you will have noticed that I did two things - I stated aspects of the doctrine which I accept, and and I stated the scripture that appears to support those points. You will have noticed that what I did not do was assert assumption like: "You see where it says 'elect', that is the Jews!" or: "See where it says the restrainer?" - that is the Holy Spirit: Those sorts of things, are interpretations, not reading. I just pointed out scripture and let it speak for itself. The things that are usually used to demonstrate a pre-tribulation rapture, are interpretations at best, usually they are arguments from silence, or assumed inferences not warranted by the text. Sometimes, there are what appear to be verses torn from their contexts which distorts (though not maliciously) what the Bible says, and it makes the Bible appear to harmonize with a person's present beliefs. For example, all of the ways people try to see a sudden, secret, any moment visit by Jesus, well, it is just odd, since the text never says any such thing. While I know people do not intend harm, it strikes me as dishonest to treat scripture so carelessly, though many just repeat what they have heard, because they do not know better. Of course, I just stepped on millions of toes with that statement, but it frustrates me that people cannot see the difference between their assumptions and what the bible actually says and does not say. In my post I didn't even make an effort to include all the evidences that demonstrate the errors of pre-trib assumptions, I just tried to give positive evidence for a post-trib position, and I did not have to assume or twist anything to do that - just posted scripture. I could still be in error for my understanding, but I do not think my understanding is unreasonable, and I expect that many others might notice that. My main point in my reply, that I would like you to take away, is that stating scripture, is not an interpretation, it is just stating scripture. I pointed out how those scriptures might represent what I have come to believe. If the difference is not obvious, then I just wasted my time, but it will not be the first time I have done that. Thanks for taking the time to read my post and respond. - Omegaman2 points

Well, going to comment on my own posting, just to test the system out. I used to blog here at worthy, but all of those files were lost. Being the somewhat pushy egomaniac that I am, I thought I would try to recreate it. Hopefully, it will appear nicer than it previously did, but making it aesthetically pleasing, is not always easy, when trying to co-exist with the way the worthy website is set up. In any case, you can check it out @ if you would like, and feel free to comment here on problems you see, I am limited to what I see on my screen, might look different on you screen, By the way, if you are viewing this on a phone or an Ipad etc, I am not trying to be compatible there, that is a different set of problems, I am only talking about 'real' computers and real browsers. Thanks2 points

personally i'd like to keep it. unlike the one on the previous version, this one really lets people rate the content of what someone says as opposed to just going and giving brownie points to their friends in profiles.2 points
