Paul said "that if any come preaching another gospel" or if an "angel comes preaching another gospel" than what ye have heard of us let him be accursed we are to rightly divide the word of truth so that as workmen we do not have to fear being ashamed. or led astray. one of the main reasons why all these new doctrines, and religious ceremonies are coming from is that the Christian of today has limited or no knowledge of the word of God, because they refuse to read it and learn from it when they are away from church. if we would dedicate the same amount of time to the study and meditation on the word of God as we do the television, or sports events, or other events. then there wouldn't be this continual searching for the greener grass or new saying or new sign...and i agree with the post that said "apostasy comes when our love grows cold. that is so true. before we can depart from our faith our love has to grow cold. great discussion topic in Christ trish

to best understand the book of revelation, one must also understand the old testament. the old testament is full of pictures/types and shadows just as revelation is now the tribulations will last 7 years 3.5 of which will b a time of "peace" and then the great tribulation the last 3.5 years. the great tribulation or the last 3.5 years is set to begin when the treaty is signed. no one knows the day that will happen. in Christ trish

we are finite God is infinite, when we enter into Gods presence our flesh becomes weak the longer we stay in Gods presence the weaker our flesh becomes. that is why you feel exhaustion at times when you pray. in Christ trish

more food for thought: 1) v10 we are commanded to be strong in the Lord and the Power of his might. this is a command not a request. 2) put on the whole armour of God that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil: another command not request. 3) our fight is never with human beings it is always with principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. the reason i post on worthy is 1 i enjoy sharing my opinion and or knowledge with others, 2 i would like to meet like minded people that i can share other conversations with 3 it is a way to edify a small part of the body of Christ that i may never have the opportunity to meet in person this side of Heaven. thank you for that truth that is so often pushed to the back burner, Christianity today is bent on being so p.c. and/or tolerant that the simple basics of Christianity are lost somewhere between the back of the back pew and the door. it is a sad reality indeed that people places and things are more important than the desires and will of the One who gave his life for ours, taking all our sin past present and future, "he that knew no sin became sin..." when are we going to wake up and start shouting this from the roof tops? when are Christians today going to get their heads out of the sand and stand for righteousness? thank you again for this truth that is so often ignored.
