  1. Well lets go over it... The Millennium or the 1000 year reign of Christ with His saints comes about, but the Bible says it is in heaven, not on earth. The millennium is the thousand-year reign of Christ with His saints in heaven between the first and second resurrections. During this time the wicked dead will be judged and the earth will be utterly desolate, without any living human inhabitants, but occupied by Satan and his evil angels. At the close of the Millennium or the 1000 years in heaven, Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The wicked dead will then be resurrected and face the final judgement, along with Satan and his angels at the Lake of Fire which will consume them and cleanse the earth of sin forever. A few days before His death, Jesus told His disciples what He was going to do before coming back at the Second Coming: John 14 King James Version (KJV) 1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. So how will He come, does the scripture tells us. Well 40 days after His resurrection Jesus was raised up into the cloud. Acts 1 6 Then they gathered around him and asked him, 'Lord, are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?' 7 He said to them: 'It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.' 9 After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11 'Men of Galilee,' they said, 'why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.' Jesus ascended literally, bodily, in full view of His disciples and followers. As they watched Him go up, two angels appeared and said He would come back "in like manner" as He went up. Thus Christ's Second Coming will be literal, bodily, and visible to normal human eyes. Paul told the early believers to keep looking for the visible return of Jesus. Titus 2:13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; There will be nothing secret about His return. Jesus told them plainly how it would be, and the Second Coming will be awsome. Matthew 24:25-27 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. But Jesus also warned that false messiahs bring false hope would try to fool them: Matthew 24 King James Version (KJV) 4 Jesus answered: Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Messiah,' and will deceive many. But Christ Second Coming cannot fool the faithful who read His word as they are told clearly what they will see and there is nothing secret about it and how Christ will come. Christ's return will be loud and visible to the eyes of "all the tribes of the earth." When He comes and the heavenly trumpet sounds and the billions of angels come in a great cloud, no one will wake up the next day wondering what happened. Revelation 1:7 'Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him, and all peoples on earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen.' Matthew 24 King James Version (KJV) 30 Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Scripture tells us that at the Second Coming, Christ comes with his angels and resurrects the saints and they rise up to the cloud of angels and Christ takes His saints to heaven and the earth is emptied of its inhabitants. Satan is left to wander the earth alone during the Millennium, as at the coming of Christ the wicked are slain and the earth is left empty and desolate for the 1,000 years and we see it in Revelation 20. Revelation 20 1And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, 3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. During the millennium, the thousand-year period of which Revelation 20 shows us, Satan's will be bound or his influence over the earth will be restricted, and Christ will reign with His saints 4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. Now scripture tells us what the saints will be doing during the 1000 years in heaven. 1 Corinthians 6 1 Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? 2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? 3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? Now Revelation 19 and 20 belong together; there is no break between these chapters. They describe Christ's coming (Rev. 19:11-21) and immediately continue with the millennium, their sequence indicating that the millennium or 1000 years begins when Christ returns. It is only the devil and all the evil angels who will inhabit Earth during the 1,000 years. The events of these 1,000 years were foreshadowed in the scapegoat ritual of the Day of Atonement in Israel's sanctuary service. On the Day of Atonement the high priest cleansed the sanctuary with the atoning blood of the Lord's goat. Only after this atonement was fully completed did the ritual involving Azazel, the goat that symbolized Satan, begin. Laying his hands on its head, the high priest confessed "'all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, concerning all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat'" (Lev. 16:21). And the scapegoat was sent into the wilderness, "'an uninhabited land'" (Lev. 16:22). There is no one for Satan to deceive for 1000 years. The expression, "bottomless pit," as is evident from other scriptures, is used to represent the earth in a state of confusion and darkness. Concerning the condition of the earth "in the beginning," the Bible record says that it " was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep." (Gen. 1:2) The word translated here "DEEP" is the same in that REV. 20:1-3 is rendered "BOTTOMLESS PIT " Satan is actually on the earth for the 1000 years with the desolation left behind as no one is alive as the wicked are left dead after the Second Coming and described in Jeremiah. Jeremiah 4 23 I beheld the earth, and, lo, it was without form, and void; and the heavens, and they had no light. 24 I beheld the mountains, and, lo, they trembled, and all the hills moved lightly. 25 I beheld, and, lo, there was no man, and all the birds of the heavens were fled. 26 I beheld, and, lo, the fruitful place was a wilderness, and all the cities thereof were broken down at the presence of the Lord, and by his fierce anger. 27 For thus hath the Lord said, The whole land shall be desolate; yet will I not make a full end. The earth is left desolate. There is no man nor bird, the earth and its cities are broken down. But God does not make a full end. This has yet to be fulfilled and will happen after the 1000 years. Only at the end of the 1,000 years does the holy city, the new Jerusalem come down out of heaven from God, prepared as "bride adorned for her husband"... Revelation 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. After the 1,000-year Millennial period, the wicked are raised in the second resurrection, this is what leads to the second death at the lake of fire that the bible speaks of, as the wicked again follow Satan. But going back to the Second Coming, the Bible tells us that Christ comes to resurrect His saints and to take the saints to heaven , but Christ does not step on earth, the saints are lifted into to the air from their graves. Both the Old and New Testaments are very clear on this issue. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Revelation 20:5-6 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The wicked dead remain as dust, to be raised after the Millennium or the 1,000 years in the resurrection of damnation. So at the Second Coming the righteous saints who are dead are resurrect along with those saints which are alive and raised up to the cloud of angels and Jesus takes them with him to heaven, and are reigning in heaven with Jesus during the 1000 years. So we look back at those wicked slain on earth and scripture says, "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished." (Rev 20:5) The unrighteous are dead. "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth". (Rev 20:7-8) As you can see it is obvious the unrighteous dead are resurrected after the 1000 years ends. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection". (Rev 20:6) Specifying the "first" resurrection implies a second resurrection. Jesus Himself tells us about the two resurrections and who will be in which: John 5 King James Version (KJV) 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. The righteous resurrect to life at the Second Coming, whereas the wicked resurrect to damnation a the end of the 1000 years.
  2. Much like.. Isaiah 7:14 14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Need to understand prophecy and the principle of dual fulfillment...
  3. You have to read your Bible, the Second Coming is when all the saints that are sleeping in the graves are resurrected and taken to heaven along with the saints that are alive. You must not try to add in peoples false ideas to what happens, Christ comes and takes His saints to their place prepared for them in heaven where their mansions await them. The Millennium or the 1000 year reign of Christ is with His saints, and the Bible says it is in heaven between the first and second resurrections, not on earth. Now, during this time the wicked dead will be judged and the earth will be utterly desolate, without any living human inhabitants, but occupied by Satan and his evil angels. Since the righteous saints go up with Christ and the wicked are destroyed at His appearing, the earth stands for a time without human inhabitants. At the close of the Millennium or the 1000 years in heaven, Christ with His saints and the Holy City will descend from heaven to earth. The wicked dead will then be resurrected for damnation and face the final judgement/Great White Throne Judgement, and be destroyed in the lake of fire. Jesus Himself tells us about the two resurrections and who will be in which: John 5:28-29 28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice, 29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.
  4. All will be judged, but if you have on Christs robe of righteousness, it is like you get a automatic pardon, and your works show who you have chosen and Christ gives a reward accordingly. Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.
  5. But it only strikes down the unrighteous wicked who are following evil, the saints with Gods seal are not harmed... Revelation 7:1-3 King James Version 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. Revelation 9:4 King James Version 4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.
  6. We also know they have taken possession of many, just as in the time of Jesus... Matthew 8:16 When the even was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed with devils: and he cast out the spirits with his word, and healed all that were sick:
  7. The way I explain it is, will you give up the love of your life for God. That was Adam's dilemna.... Satan is clever when he sets a trap...
  8. You are right on point Michael, as verse 9 shows it was angels who followed Satan. Now the question that this lends itself to, is why they turned from God..
  9. Right on point, and those who say it is evil to preach what is being given by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit are in the same dilema.
  10. Because they are created in the image of God, and the devil hates that..
  11. You have to remember, there will be children as well as parents taken up to heaven, and so they will be there, and grow up there. You see the effects and confusion since so many have let go of the truth of Gods Word to follow doctrines straight from deception and no longer believe what Christians once held and waited for when Jesus would take the saved, including children, to heaven.
  12. Again, need to see what the beast entails and how the image of the beast repeats the same things as a political and religious entity. With the turmoil we see now in America and the push against Russia in the war in Ukraine we now can see how the path for the emergence of the image of the beast is being laid out. China is basically sidelined and the whole world is following the United States in this new world order that is coming together and solidifying. So we need to go and look at more closely at what this entails and how it acts in terms of the end times. So what does Revelation mean by the expression “the image of the beast”? Lets look in Rev 13 to begin.. Revelation 13:1-2 King James Version (KJV) 1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy. 2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority. Revelation 13:11-15 King James Version (KJV) 11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon. 12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed. 13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, 14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. 15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. This shows the beast of Revelation and depicts the attempt of an unholy entity to counteract God’s plan, and the only one that did this was the apostate power of the Middle Ages that persecuted the true believers and is still with us today. We see this evil entity now having a image with the whole world following the image as happened with the original beast. The image of the beast is basically a power which will duplicate the form and behavior of the beast power in Revelation 13. It will convince many that its words and purpose are true despite not being in full harmony with God and will persuade the people of the earth, believers and non-believers, to follow its religious-political power. The image or lamblike beast will also begin speaking like a dragon and exercising the power of the beast, showing that it will become as intolerant with anyone standing in its way especially in setting aside of laws and foundational liberties, which we certainly are seeing today. The image of the beast is an end time entity, comprised of a power who reflects the character of the dragon, and has religious-economic-political power to impose its will, and the United States has that power. This results in people receiving the mark of the beast which is by following it in its false practices of worship, which is really worship of the Beast, and corruption of society and morality, as we see happening now. We now see what happens next in Revelation 14... Revelation 14:9-12 King James Version (KJV) 9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, 10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: 11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus. Worshiping what the image sets forth in its corruption and distortion of Gods truth is a direct way of worshiping the Beast, but there are other ways. The evil spreading over America and its rise as the image, is also the loss of the foundational rights and the laws of America and the emergence of a corrupted way of living, and destruction of morality and the true worship of God, and we are seeing this at almost every level. Think about it.
  13. Very good verses, the problem is in understanding that the saints are taken up in the first resurrection, these are the rest which are the wicked dead and they are not in the Book of Life. If you look you find two resurrections at the end of time: Acts 24:15 And have hope toward God, which they themselves also allow, that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust. and supported by many verses.. Luke 14:14 And thou shalt be blessed; for they cannot recompense thee: for thou shalt be recompensed at the resurrection of the just. John 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. And the first resurrection is of the saints not the wicked as the verses make clear. The wicked are going to suffer the second death which is damnation in the lake of fire. Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. The first one of the righteous saints who he raises up and takes with him to heaven, and are reigning in heaven with Jesus. "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished." Rev 20:5. The unrighteous are dead. "And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth". Rev 20:7-8. Its clear here that the wicked dead are then resurrected after the 1000 years ended. "Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection". Rev 20:6. The saints in the "first" resurrection which is at the Second Coming, then after the 1000 years, a second resurrection of the wicked for their judgement and destruction at the second death, "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death." Rev 20:14.
  14. Well, as I only have experience with Sabbath School, I can only answer from that perspective. But as one of the Sabbath School teachers we have tried to connect with those who come to church and invite them to the Sabbath School and then make sure to guide them to the right class or answer any questions they might have to make them welcome. As for atmosphere and format we have what we call the round table type of class so everyone can be right up front in the discussion with the teacher, and we give them the and keep some for the daily participants in case any dont have one.
