  1. People have told me over and over again only by hating my sin will I be able to stop sinning. How do you hate something you have found enjoyable for any amount of time? I'm also afraid if I become hateful towards sin I will fall and judge the sinner instead of hating the sin only. I'm not sure what I should do here. Any scriptures would be hugely helpful.
  2. I have in recent days been told of a band called MUTEMATH by a friend named Jon. "They are like the best band ever!" He says. "Are they Christian?" I ask. "Yeh, of course! They are awesome!" So, I go and look up a song or ten on Youtube. (What can I say, I want to know more than one or two songs!) Found out, at least to me, that they ARE amazing. But when I looked deeper, I found they fought hard to stay out of a christian label, saying they wanted to be respected as musicians, not for their faith. They are all christian guys, but do not write christian music or claim Christianity in any of their music. Sure, some of their songs have a spiritual undertone. But sometimes that tone is so far under it is barely heard. Is this right or wrong? To not speak out for Jesus when you know of His AWESOMENESS?
  3. I seem to pick up on a mood or energy as soon as I enter a room. Sometimes it's really annoying, because negative moods are everywhere, and I can't seem to control whether I pick them up as my own. Any suggestions?
  4. I am glad others see what Obama is, not what he looks to be. There is but one thing to do. Pray. Even if all we say here is true or false, our prayers will help Obama the right way, whether he is a christian or not. So I recognize he has not given good fruit. I recognize that we cannot judge a person's state with God. What do we do? Pray. Pray for the blind followers, for the people who judge harshly or tolerate all. Pray pray pray pray pray. That is the one think we as Christians can always do. So do it.
  5. I did change alot, the first chapter not so much, but the rest of them yes. how observant of you nebula
  6. Seven Swords Fervens was rushing over leagues of land, as if flying, but even faster than a bird on the wind. He rushed over the great circle, over game trails he had many times followed and hunted by, up the mountain of fire, climbing over expanses that he had not dared to climb for fear of no return, and went above the mountain and hovered there for a split second. Then he dove toward a ledge that seemed to have been just revealed, for he had not seen this ledge before. It was small, about two feet in length away from the mountain. It seemed to be cut out of the mountain, though next to the ledge was a solid wall of black rock. Even though it looked solid, Fervens rushed at the wall with the speed of a horses sprint. Instinct told him to throw up his arms and protect himself, but somehow Fervens suppressed the feeling. He sped toward the wall, and passed through it. He felt surprise and excitement in the back of his mind, but the purpose for why he was here overrode the excitement. Winding down a series of paths after entering a small opening at the beginning of what looked like a small cave just beyond the wall, the path to the somewhere looked to be a seemingly endless turning maze. Fervens was sure of his own path, though he did not know how, and took each turn with growing confidence. He ended up in a huge cavern of stone, a natural made city of rock that had not been disturbed by anyone for a long time. All of this came to his mind, as if he could feel everything around him. He looked around this great expanse, raising his head to the spikes on top of the cave, and looking down to the seemingly smooth floor. His eyes ended their search in the direct middle of the cavern, to see a great sword stuck in the ground, hilt up, covered in blue flame. The flame writhed around the hilt as if wishing to escape and burn freely, to burn the entire world to ashes. The hilt was made with a common grip, but the end caught his attention, for it was the symbol on the elders circle that was engraved on the small red gem at the end. Fervens knew he could not take his gaze from the sword, though only by thought, for he did not even try to look away. The flaming sword was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in a weapon. It burned with a presence and intensity in the flame that went past his knowledge and understanding. It seemed to bear the authority of fire itself. Then the flames grew bigger, growing to almost cover the hilt. The symbol on the gem seemed to glow. A booming voice came from the flame, sounding like a crackling fire spitting sparks.
  7. Some people look upon the word abundant and are like "Hey, that means lots and lots of everything good!" I dont think this is true at all. When God told us our lives would be abundant i think he meant the actual definition of the word, forgive me i dont have a jesus dictionary so ill just use dictionary . com's definition. present in great quantity; more than adequate So we have more than we asked for. Truth, God gives us way more than we need. But does it say more happy go lucky life? No. Our lifes will contain much, but they will be full of good AND bad. I forget where in the bible it says the abundant part, anyone wanna help me out? Just a thought to ponder if you begin to wonder why everything is going wrong at a particular time in your life, why you have so many trials, etc. etc. Mighty Man of Valor Gregor
  8. Whenever I get really into the presence of God and the Holy Spirit, I feel like God is calling me to be a creator, like in music and arts. There is no job security for artists, and every part of my being leans toward getting a steady job and writing on the side or making music on the side. Is this right? To not go after what you feel called to with your whole heart? I dont feel convicted for wanting a steady job, but my heart is beginning to question my choices. So what do I do? Do I drop everything and run after what God calls me to, or do i do what i can while still having a job? Mighty Valued, Gregor
  9. why oh why are you guys so clouded? faith is dead without works! and im tired of people saying they are a christian because they prayed the prayer! thats only the first step! and believing is not following, loving is following, if you loved God truely you would read bible and ajust yourself
  10. Luk 14:27 And whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot be My disciple. Luk 14:28 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has [enough] to finish [it]-- Luk 14:29 lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see [it] begin to mock him, Luk 14:30 saying, 'This man began to build and was not able to finish.' Luk 14:31 Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Luk 14:32 Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace. Luk 14:33 So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple. I met a woman online who called herself a christian. I asked her what she wanted to be, and she replied lawyer or such politican. When i began to speak with her about some political issues, she called me a wacko bible person, a bible thumper, and some other choice things that i wont mention. So it made me wonder... What does the word Christian mean anymore? A Christian is a disciple of Jesus Christ, right? How can people still call themselves Christians when they believe that Abortion is something to be tolerated? How can you be tolerant when the only mention of tolerance in the bible is when it says DO NOT BE? So the question i am asking is, according to God's definition, not the worlds, are you a "Christian"? Really search about this. Read bible. A Mighty Man Of Valor, Gregor

He sped toward the wall, and passed through it. Fervens felt surprise and excitement in the back of his mind, but he had something he had to do, some greater purpose for why he was here. 12. Please review what i have written then give me suggestions to make it better. thanks. CHAPTER ONE Its interesting really, how this played out. How this horrible thing they called my life is coming to an end at the hand of the person I have hated most of my life. And the fact that she is doing it as slowly as possible makes me hate her more. If that is possible. Her name was Morgaln. She is of the darkness of the Order. My name is Galiance. Well, I guess that
  13. Sometimes I watch movies, I think everyone does. But some movies are great movies EXCEPT for that sex scene or that remark about her body or that curse word etc etc. Is it wrong to watch movies that stimulate both spiritual and flesh? What is the line between an OK movie and a not OK one? I mean I'm a superhero fan more than anything, so I like to watch movies like the incredible hulk (the newer one) and iron man and so on. But, in some of those movies, like for example Ultimate Avengers, there are some things that are needless to say lustful. It is a great movie with great morals but in the end all I end up thinking about in the long run is that one seen or that one word. Even in comedy movies! Take Yes Man. Some of that movie was NOT NEEDED AT ALL to make it funny. I mean without those scenes it would have still been amazing. I am ok when the movie IMPLIES SOMETHING HAPPENED but when they SHOW IT thats the problem. So, are movies something we should just cut out all together? A Mighty Man Of Valor Gregor
