  1. Thank You. I have got the answer to my question from several forum members in this thread. Jesus descended from king David through his mother Mary (Luke). It turned out that both Mary and Joseph descended from king David. Wish you success in plant breeding.
  2. Thank You. I have got the answer. Mary was also from David the king (Luke)
  3. Thank you. I got the answer. It is all clear to me now.
  4. Mary was found with child of the Holy Ghost. But still king David is in the genealogy. It is not mentioned as a moral ancestry but as real though Joseph was not His biological father, right? I am sure there is an answer to this question as the question has always been on the surface. They must have answered this question a long time ago but I could not find it. Please, explain it to me.
  5. Right. Science was previously the god of atheists. Today it is less and less capable of non-controversial explanations. They used to repeat "the more I learn the less I know" rather as a witticism. Now it is a general truth.
  6. A good topic for DISCUSSION in this forum.
  7. Where did you read that time was made separate from matter? Matter and time are inseparable. In fact all matter changes and time is the mark of this change. Change in the matter is perceived as time. If there were no change in all matter (which is impossible in principle) there would be no time. "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth"; "And God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night." There is no mentioning of creation of time separate from matter. No mentioning of what God had been doing before that because the Bible describes what concerns mankind. What does not concern us is not revealed. Moreover people do not have and will never have enough intelligence to understand all things especially concerning The Kingdom of God. Can your pet understand how technical things such as cell phones work? No. The distance between what God knows and does and what we human beings know and do is far greater than that. I think we have to put up with that.
  8. Thank you. I agree that nobody should insist on anyone to repent. Especially so when those who think of others forget their own repentance. Now I understand you perfectly.
  9. Hi, I am just curious why are you against repentance? Do you have some information or are you proud? You quoted Jesus Christ when He was doing miracles. Do you expect the same miracles as when Jesus was living here and doing miracles? What would you like or what do you expect. Jesus has not come in His glory to judge us yet. He will. And you sit tight and wait? Please explain. If you do not answer that means that you do not want a discussion and claim to know all the answers yourself. And then what is your post for?
  10. I disagree but O.K. let it be knowledge. Then without His knowledge the person in question will not be saved. If someone will say that there are no such words as "will not be saved" in this case again it would sound and look like those who accused Jesus over stressing the words of the scripture at the same time overlooking the very message. The scribes were splitting hairs and stressing the letter of the scripture instead of the ideas.
  11. That O.K., brother. God bless you.
  12. You say: "I am sorry that you want to be able to brag to God about how you deserve to be in heaven and about how honoured God must be to have you in his family." That is too much. This Is a False Accusation. I have never been sure about myself. I was not writing about myself at all. What I wrote was just an idea generally. A good advice to you. Never accuse a person like when you mentioned me (you .....). People should not be offended personally Discuss possible sins and advise on how to get rid of them. Did I accuse anyone personally? I try to be careful about that. Do you?
  13. God never asks what is impossible. Good works are expected according to the talent, abilities and so on (what is given). That sick person is alright. We are talking about the majority of the people. Now look at this: Which Is a Greater Risk of not being Saved? We have two interpretations at the moment. Interpretation 1: Faith alone or Faith + 0; Interpretation 2: Faith + Good Works. Let us assume that Faith in both interpretations is the same as we have no reliable method to measure individual Faith. Now let us apply a matrix " My Interpretation is Not Correct. But I Have My Followers and I had insisted that they stick to it (The Opposite Interpretation Is Correct)” to each interpretation in turn. Let us begin with Interpretation 2 In this case ( Interpretation 2) Faith remains and there is still a possibility and a chance to be pardoned and saved. With Interpretation 1 it is not that simple. The unit “Good works” is missing. There would have been a chance to be pardoned and saved but the proponent had insisted on his Followers to accept Faith+0. And many of them encouraged by the proponent performed Zero or next to zero Good works (could have done much much more). This is hardly pardonable. And for the proponent the chance of being saved in this case is next to Zero or Zero.
  14. If you do not agree to faith and good deeds as equal then would you agree that they are inseparable? Take faith as HEART and good works as BLOOD. One does not exist without the other.
  15. It is a long dispute. As you know there was an attempt to delete James from the Gospel. May be they will do it in some version in the future. This goes to show you how seriously it is in the way of some people. All other attempts (translation flaw, etc were not convincing) In the past it was not a problem. May be it became a problem in the 20th century. I take James ( a strong literally understood) interpretation literally and feel that I have this right. James 2:14-26 New King James Version (NKJV) Faith Without Works Is Dead 14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also. At the same time I do not object if you choose a milder interpretation. It is your choice. We should agree to differ. This will be surely answered when we meet the Creator. O.K.?
  16. It is easier to think of those who He excludes. I guess He excludes those who He sends to hell.
  17. But still Jesus is son of man and God's son. In fact Jesus is God and he says: Matthew 7:20-23 King James Version (KJV) 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them. 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. What does that mean? That means Jesus does not love such people. Is that right?
  18. That is right ]. I SAID IT WAS MY MISTAKE about God' love. As for salvation it is your interpretation which I respect but do not quite agree with.
  19. Thank you. You are right. It was my mistake. There are cases when God's love is not in a person that is correct: 1 John 2,15 15Do not lovethe world or anything in the world. If anyoneloves the world, the love of the Father is not inhim.
  20. John 15:18-19 New International Version (NIV) The World Hates the Disciples 18 “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.
  21. No, they are together. Continue to argue with James 2, 14 Dear brothers, as there are many messages and I do not want to ignore them I suggest that the messages in which you quote me should begin with dealing with James 2, 14-24 to make it an orderly discussion.
  22. You accuse me of over stressing the words of Jesus. Can you over stress the words of Jesus Himself? Those were the very words of Jesus in Matthew. Can one over stress the words by Jesus? Is that at all possible?
  23. No, they are together. Continue to argue with James 2, 14
  24. You say: "The conjunctive makes both necessary........." Please continue arguing with James 2, 14. and what is following.
