  1. @Neighbor for give this one more off topic remark... for me it is a discipline of mind and heart: if God has bothered to teach me of the eternal state and let me know nothing before that is worth keeping, as He doesn't, then I have much renewing of the mind to do ... however each much prepare himself to answer God unto God's Word to them... this verse being the criteria of judgment not directed at you personally OO: John 12:48 (KJV) [48] He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. One thing for sure we cannot say we didn't know His plans...
  2. @other one Think of the millions of us that hold such memories with fondness... yet God is going to remove them... this is a must consideration for us all in Christ. A little off topic just want to speak to my brother...
  3. snipping is a graphic persons friend...
  4. It's stuck down below in the pear tree...
  5. now on top of all else we have belching tree... I thought this was a safe site
  6. Yes well wishes and all that ... but I am still last
  7. to walk in the light/Word as His did... John 8:31 (KJV) [31] Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; [32] And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
  8. I don't believe it to be anymore than the fruit of lie which is confusion... I mean what is it is if not confused... it's like standing next to a pear tree arguing with it
  9. The accomplishment of the first allows for the second to be accomplished... it is not the second to do the first... otherwise it would be a works based salvation...
  10. Thank you for the verses as they fully encompass my post point...
  11. Yes, indeed but that cannot be accomplished till foremost is adhered to Matthew 22:37-39 (KJV) [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. In fact before the second the first must be accomplished [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
  12. The gap theory is a disobedience to God's Word 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV) [5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (Scripture) Once one allows the imagination to have place in the study of God's Word then all becomes possible~ for it is the mind not just God's Word being used... we are clearly instructed in this process: Ephesians 5:26 (KJV) [26] That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
  13. Interesting thoughts... as to David perhaps it was what God had prepared him with- the wild animals which came to him in the motivation of hunger... this giant was in his estimation no greater threat and was relying upon the tools that God had him use to rid those threats... 1 Samuel 17:36 (KJV) [36] Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37] David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. David saw the armor as intrusive to that which God had used with him before...
  14. I had some fascinations here: We are reasoning as light in darkness... none of us can reason outside of the darkness except in s/Spirit and God's Word... Our full reliance upon our thinking is bound to error due to that Word: 1 Corinthians 8:2 (KJV) [2] And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know. It is humbling to know that the entirety of process will not be until the eternal state and God places us in perfect holiness without end... 1 Corinthians 2:9 (KJV) [9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. I find peace in the faith delivered to me by God's Word and I, reduced by His Truth, as a little child have accepted that all disciplines of this life are not taking me to that which is planned... point- I cannot discern the original creation as I exist in the curse and I am held there till God removes me from it...
  15. Cain never gave indication of sorrow for murdering his brother and magnified his total self-interest 'my punishment is more than I can bare'... Point being he took everything from his brother... Faith is derived through God's Word, and I have always appreciated God's summary of said Word: Matthew 22:36 (KJV) [36] Master, which is the great commandment in the law? [37] Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. [38] This is the first and great commandment. [39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. [40] On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. So if one has faith generated by God's Word then the above would be recognized in the living... I don't see any of it in the accounting of Cain's life? Good view down the road! Here's some good points on your observation: What is a grain offering? | GotQuestions.org Thank you for this additional motivation to look deeper Charlie!
  16. I believe there's a heart situation in the gift... when you care for a animal you are naturally attached to it. It is living as it contains blood. It is one thing to chop up a vegetable and quite another a animal you have nurtured... I have never wept over a tomato I sliced, but a pet something much different: Psalms 51:17 (KJV) [17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. When it costs us- God recognizes His Own cost 'His Only Son'... this drawn to conclusion in Abraham and Issiac with God staying the hand of Abraham and God providing the sacrifice! It has always fell to God to redeem us but it falls to us to understand that price...
  17. Fatih is the very mechanics of our begin in Adam by God... it is why God says this: Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) [6] But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. With the understanding God provides for us through His Word this- God is a plurality of Persons without begin and end so testified by the verbiage of His testament to Moses of the beginning: Gen 1:1 The wonderful thing of God writing down His Word is that it is objective resource for all times and peoples to examine and come to the same conclusions! Here case and point- God preexisting creates and does so in a plurality... now the difficulty for us is: Mark 12:29 (KJV) [29] And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: [30] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. How can God be plurality and yet One- thank goodness Jesus spoke of this above and connected God to Love... His descriptive whole of Scripture being 'Love'... Here is where God's Word is so very self-evident in its writing... Paul in Corinthians describes what love (That of God) is: 1 Corinthians 13:5 (NKJV) [5] does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; And John's witness: 1 John 4:8 (NKJV) [8] He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. Realizing by all this -That the love God defines for us that God must be a plurality of Persons for Love to exist... God 'not' in plurality of Persons could only seek His Own... but we have The Father loving the Son and The Son only doing what pleased The Father and The Holy Spirit working to magnify The Son etc. and all this scattered over time and people and cultures -one theme -one purpose -one outcome... God's precious Word The Scriptures!
  18. It is the testimony within the book that states it coverage: Revelation 1:19 (KJV) [19] Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter; It's coverage is past present future Of course as it is The Revelation of Christ to John and it is temporal and fixed all the way to the eternal state and that is 'book' and that is what is sealed... Plus it helps to be in the future where there has been no canonical writing for two thousand years plus... the only other period like this was the 400 silent years between Testaments... to not see this is to ignore the plain sense of Scripture given to us as boundary...
  19. pure de ole common sense ... what possible rational process uses past events to color tomorrow's new day? Past cannot be altered but the new day all things are possible!
  20. Gen 12:16-20 16 And he entreated Abram well for her sake: and he had sheep, and oxen, and he asses, and menservants, and maidservants, and she asses, and camels. 17 And the LORD plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai Abram's wife. 18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that thou hast done unto me? why didst thou not tell me that she was thy wife? 19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way. 20 And Pharaoh commanded his men concerning him: and they sent him away, and his wife, and all that he had. KJV Pharoh's intentions were plain to see by the gifts to 'the brother'... God does not tell us how Pharoh knew but it evidently was not important enough for God to tell us... God tells us of 'great plagues' were sent ... so a multiple god ruler would make inquiries but the reality there were only two who knew Abram & Sarai... It is noteworthy to vs 18 adultery was evidently wrong among these people: Abram stated if they wanted Sarai they would kill him to have her... and Pharoh's proclamation here... certainly supports God's claim of His laws written on the heart: Romans 2:14 (KJV) [14] For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: [15] Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
  21. I'm not really interested in opinions outside of Scripture revelation... like I said illiterate... The objective nature of written material is of such 7 literal 24 hour days of creation and beyond this is illiteracy... The Word itself has founded this for me and my rest is assured by God in such... You have been told and shown yet you reject thus you await God's correcting of you...
  22. I understand God perceives love from me as obedience to the things He has told me... Leviticus 19:28 (NKJV) [28] ‘You shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you: I am the LORD. It is not the do to get aspect of law but how God askes me to love Him Matthew 22:37 (NKJV) [37] Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ [38] “This is the first and great commandment. [39] “And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ [40] “On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” John 14:21 (KJV) [21] He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Thus for me I want to know God intimately and if obedience will aid me in this pursuit then why would I do otherwise?
  23. a literacy that denies God's Word is really illiterate...
  24. Gen 12:9-15 9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south. 10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land. 11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon: 12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive. 13 Say, I pray thee, thou art my sister: that it may be well with me for thy sake; and my soul shall live because of thee. 14 And it came to pass, that, when Abram was come into Egypt, the Egyptians beheld the woman that she was very fair. 15 The princes also of Pharaoh saw her, and commended her before Pharaoh: and the woman was taken into Pharaoh's house. KJV A unique position for Abram... knowing how every head turns when Sarai passes by. I wonder at the heart of God who bothers not to even look upon such: 1 Samuel 16:7 (KJV) [7] But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart. 2 Corinthians 10:7 (KJV) [7] Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ's, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ's, even so are we Christ's. Between a rock and a hard place... either live in starvation or give up the physical vowed sacred union. The fire, from God, that defines life can be the very extremes of testing... it would seem neither would have been wanted but looking to the hope of future the choice was made... His love exceeded the outward physical attraction 1 John 2:15 (KJV) [15] Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Certainly, in the knowledge of all this helps us to obey the above... as Pharoh wanting the beauty that knowingly would fade then having no further want~ would kill that which was committed past the beauty called love... 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NKJV) [13] And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love. Perhaps it better explains Abram's forming heart in looking for a city not built with mans hands...
