Thanks for all the replies. I believe that because God revealed Himself as Father there is no argument. Women for many years were and still are, often regarded as second class citizens, chattels etc. and therefore the rise of feminism in shaking off the supression has brought about this desire to prove that women through feminism have a definite place in God. I see my wife being my equal in the Kingdom of God, we just have different functions. I have no problem in seeing myself as part of the Bride of Christ and that He is my Husband, with all the requisite benefits I draw from that position. Equally my wife has no problem with seeing herself as a son of God and all the requisite benefits that comes from that. Both positions give the believer so very, very much. In heaven there will be no marriage but I believe that my wife and I will be together forever and that we will find no division between us (other than that she will probably have greater rewards in the millenium.)We, both men and women have lost so much, we have continued in division instead of knowing that different functions do notmean diminution of position. Please keep the replies coming about Asherah and eschatology.
God bless you all
Steve
