Accoding to webster's dictionary the word holy means 1) connected to a god or a religion 2) religious and morally good. Acts 17:11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they recieved the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

I think out of the suggestions that you mentioned the nullification idea is the best one, unfortunately, you still have to deal with the governors that will not fight even though they know the people of their own states do not want it.

To me putting God first has to start with getting up a little earlier to read and study the bible, spending time in prayer. Walking with the Lord means you have to surrender your life to him everyday, not just once during the time you are baptized. Praying before making major decisions, praying to ask for guidence when things get tough, praying before meals, and praying at bedtime as well as praying for others. Not to mention the quick prayers that we say during the day just to thank Him or Praise Him for a particular blessing. When you put God first you have to remember Jesus is your best friend, talk to him like you would talk to your best friend. Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths. Too many people only call upon God when they need his help because they are in some sort of trouble. We have to remember to acknowledge Him with thanks and praise. Your relationship with the Lord has to come before everything else in your life, including (no cyber rock throwing) your children. We have to trust in Him with all that we have within us. We have to trust him to care for us completely and He is always faithful to be there for us. As far as the enemy reminding you of your past, remind him of his future. The enemy wants you to get too busy or to put other things first in your life. The enemy wants you as far away from the Lord as he can get you. The farther you are from the Lord, the happier he is. Once you have made your prayer request known to the Lord, thank him for the particular thing that was asked for in prayer. That shows and builds trust that we know that the Lord has heard us and that we trust he will answer our prayers and believe that he will answer them in your heart. No one is perfect, you are not a bad mother, christian or person because you make mistakes. The Lord knows we are not perfect, we are all in need of our saviour on a daily basis. We cannot do it alone, if we could God would not have needed to send Christ to die on the cross for us. So give yourself a break. The Lord never promised walking with Him would be easy. You will never be alone though, so long as you have your best friend with you.

This article seemed to be intereting to me. I know what your are going to say before you say it. (Not another discussion on the Sabbath day.) But you before you make up your minds, you should read the article. I would really like this to be an open discussion. There could possibly be things in this article that you have never considered before. Regardless, please read the article, before commenting and discussing it. I too grew up in a dysfunctional family. Even though we still lived close and talked to each other it was none the less dysfunctional. My dad divorced my mom for another woman when i was in the first grade. He stayed away most of my life, except to drop in every 10 years or so for a few mins. Our family used to have a hard time even getting together on holidays because we were so dysfunctional that people would end up in arguments and mad over the stupidest, pettiest things that you wouldn't even believe. When i married life wasn't much better, although i was determined not to get divorced, i had a husband who became an abusive alcholic who liked other women much better than his family life, not to mention the drugs. So as badly as i hated to I too ended up divorced. Since I was a child I believed in God, so when I was at my lowest point, Jesus reached down and grabbed my hand and pulled me back up. I got rebaptized and now attend church regularly, I try my best to stay focused on Christ, and work for the glory of God through mission projects. I too at one point felt that no one would miss me and felt terribly unloved. For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasing life. John 3:16 God loves us soooo much that He does not any of us to perish, no not one, He wants all of us to come back to Him. God does not want you to take your life. He wants you to come back to Him and use your life to glorify Him and further His kingdom. My unsolicitated advice to you is to find a church and build a good life with a good church family. Do something for someone else, that always makes us feel better. Collect clothes for the needy, do a food drive for the less fortunate that cannot afford both utilities and food. Get involved in mission work, even if it is just giving a testimony or helping someone with a bible study. The best advice I ever recieved from my grandma was this. When you think you have it bad, look around, there is always someone out there who has it much worse. And it is entirely true!! Your earthly family may be dysfunctional but your Heavenly Father is perfect and loves you so much that He gave his only son to die for us. When satan reminds you of your past, remind him of his future. Get up, get moving, be the body of Christ. God wants you to take your place in his church and do your job (telling others about Him), otherwise you would not be on here looking for answers and exposing your feelings. We all love and care about each other here and I will be praying for you, pray talk to your Father and help others learn of Jesus. You will be soooo surprised at the joy and peace that will replace the loneliness and unloved feelings. Now I am remarried and have the peace, love and joy that I searched for in all the wrong places. I finally searched for them in the right place and found them in Jesus. I pray you too will find the peace, love, joy and acceptance that you search for, the bible and prayer is the place to find it. Look to Jesus!!

For those who have served in the military, I would like to personally thank them all for their service. I would also like to extend my heartfelt appologies for the suffering that they are enduring at the hands of our Veterans Administration. Each and everyone of you deserve better!!

This is appauling!! These men and women put their lives on the line to fight to keep our country free and our people safe, and this is the treatment that they get in return. This is shameful!! These men and women deserve better!! Those responisble for this dispectable treatment of our veterans should themselves be forced to use the VA as their only means of medical care. I would be willing to bet that if they had to use those services as their only means of medical care there would no longer be any secret lists nor would there be any long waits to see doctors. Something certainly needs to be done to correct this immediately. We ask them to go into battle to fight for our country and our people and they cannot even ask us to be seen by a doctor in a timely manner, something is defidently wrong and very sickening with this picture. I am ashamed of our government and our leaders for allowing this to go on.

Then maybe you can explain why all my children's workbooks have the words "Common Core" emblazoned all over them. Chloe, not sure who you quoted when saying there is no common core, my computer usually says a name unfortunately in this instance it does not. I would simply like to say to whomever you quoted, I thought there was no common core. You cannot say that there is no common core when there is common core emblazoned all over the books of school children. However, I would like to comment on the fact that common core is not so much about testing as it is making a one world government.

(Revelation 14:10) "The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb:" **(1 Thessalonians 5:9) "For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ," Paul is speaking concerning "The Church" here. See it? What about the 11th and 12th chapters of Daniel? They do tell us the order or the sequence of the end days. No, they do not tell a time or day or an hour none of the scripture does and you are correct that it does say only the Father knows the time. However, Daniel does tell us the order of the things to come.

Find me one scripture that says what will definately happen in the end times.Mid,post,no trib.I will eagerly await your scriptural evidence. what about the 11th and 12th chapters of Daniel they do describe in detail the sequence of the end. No scriptures do not give a time or day that the rapture will occur but it does give a sequence, in that I mean the order in which they do happen.

My views are clearly not the most popular, so i will not comment on most of this discussion. I will simply say this to the pretribers. Find me one scripture in the entire Bible that says that the rapture will take place before the tribulation. It cannot be done because there is not one. If you can find it thou i would certainly like to see it. I will eagerly await your scriptural evidence!

I agree it is good to look for the hijackers, but to blame common core is akin to blaming the plane for being high jacked ETA...Common core deals with math and language arts at this time. There is no common core for history or social skills. Any changes to these areas is the result of the local school and has nothing to do with Common core. The history and social skills are formed under the literacy for "xxxx" heading. The things we read for literacy skills pass on a lot of things. History is presently being rewritten and introduced under the stamp of Common Core..... We had two very good high school history teachers leave teaching over what they had been asked to use in their class.... and it's coming under the Common Core Stamp. hijacked. From my first post I've been saying that common core isn't the problem, but the people who brought it to us are using it as a tool for teaching our kids to be good little socialist global citizens....... and it will ultimately destroy the fabric of this country.... so if what you want is a conglomerate of States full of global citizens instead of Americans then you should be OK with what's going on. I have several friends who are involved in the state system who are very disturbed with what they see and where it really comes from. Remember that Janet Napolitano was the person who started the push for this. Pure socialist globalist at heart.. very well put

Go to the countries at the top of the student rankings and I bet their 3rd graders can fill out a an answer sheet. It is time we quit babying our students and got back to teaching them. This is not about teaching them standards of solving problems alone, if it were they would be problems that would be appropiate for their developmental stages. It is about conformity and teaching them to do as they are told and not question what they are being told to do. You have to pull the mask off of the problem to see the true adgenda being pushed.
