So. They are having this event about 4o miles from town. Its put on by the same people that do burning man down in Nevada. But anyhow, this gal posts that her friend left town at 4Pm yesterday. At 10:30 he was still 15 miles away. At 6:30 this morning they finally got in and got parked.

I guess that's one way to look at it. LOL

Yeah our town is about 9000 people. They are expecting us to have over 80000 coming thru. They said the line to the event is over 20 miles long about an hour ago.

Its a great time for people watching. Except for the ones who have decided to walk around without clothes.

So I think I mentioned before that our town is in the path of the eclipse. By nine o'clock this morning traffic was backed up clear out of town. By noon it was backed up a little over 10 miles. The Costco in our area has sold $1 million dollars over projected earnings every day by noon for the last week. We just got message that all of the gas stations in town are already out of diesel. This should be a few exciting days.

I think for God to have created the Earth in 6 literal days he would have had to bypass some of the laws of physics. While it certainly in His power to do so, I just don't believe He would have done that. That could lead to pretty much everything we know as being false.

I am actually amazed that there are other OEC creationists here. This is currently a topic that I have been trying to study in depth. I am reading the book by Hugh Ross called a matter days. It gets pretty deep but brings up some good points and evidence for why he believes in an old earth creation. I have also noticed as he points out in his book that I get a lot of negative and down right rude feedback from YEC when I speak of this subject.

Correct. But we know enough to know that they need counseling. Both of them have some hurts that need to be dealt with.
