  1. Not all depression is situational. Sometimes it's a hereditary chemical imbalance. I know I'm not "living right" (I'm a sinful human), but this isn't the cause of my depression. My brain is screwy. Be careful not to overgeneralize, please...
  2. Ditto. I have clinical depression, officially diagnosed only within this past year, and this is so true of my situation, too. The Lord has pulled me close in my brokenness.
  3. This is insane, but so is our Lord. I'll be praying for clarification for us all. Wow!
  4. Well, gee, I certainly hope it's not May 21, 2011 because I'm set to graduate about a week before and I'd be horribly disappointed if I did all that college learning and didn't get to use it in the world to glorify the Lord. Oh well!
  5. I suffer from some mild anxiety, though nothing like what you're going through, thank the Lord. Wow, stay strong, sister. You're in my prayers. J.J. Heller wrote a beautiful song about her struggles with panic attacks and anxiety and God's place in all that. It's called "Your Hands."
  6. This is very insightful. I have depression and it interests me to see the side of the loved one. From my perspective, I appreciate it when friends and family address the depression as something real, not some hush-hush malady. I treasure the friends I have that are comfortable talking about it, not around it.
