Why, since God has allowed us to 'choose' ( ie: Joshua 24:15), would He not allow us to choose for Him or against Him? I am not saying that the Holy Spirit didn't have any role in turning our hearts, but I cannot believe that God would allow His son to die for the whole world and then only choose/elect a few to join him in Paradise.

God has been faithful to His creation from the beginning of time. He has watched over us and allowed us in our freewill to make wrong choices but has always continued to make a way for the people He created to return to Him. Most recently through His Son Jesus. It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, Psalm 92:1 & 2 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. We could worry about the situations in the world at present but we need not. God is in control of all things. This does not mean he causes them all but has control.

Why? Did you not see my I cannot get my head around/believe in 'near death experiences'. I have heard a lot of people have had them and nearly all have the same story. But there is one thing that feels wrong about them. The Journeys series seems to promote them.

I have only just joined this forum and cannot see that I am able to post a new topic. I am wondering if this would come under this heading. 'Near Death Experiences'. I have written a short article on what I believe about it from a Christian viewpoint. If anyone is interested please let me know and I will post it in the applicable place.
