  1. Your entire premise is historically inaccurate. Anyone that uses your argument believes it sounds good but it is errant and incorrect. There were some in the inquistions who made errors reminisciant of the muslims but that was a brief blight which was quickly corrected by Christ. The crusades you elude to were a response to muslims murdering Christians not the other way around. Finally what ever brief error there was from a small group of people who claimed Christ but clearly were in error faded quickly and is not representative of those who truly follow Christ or have followed Christ. However the entire 1500 year history of satan worship, such is islam, has been tainted by bloodshed, murder, rape, theft, and all sorts of malicious behavior in the name of their faux god.
  2. Perhaps the authority of the bible supercedes any work you may find elsewhere. Wiki is banned in all academic institutions in addition to that, for good reason. Race is a lie straight from the devil and it contradicts Gods word. However if you choose your reference to be something of this world that is your choice. However remember what Christ told us all: The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way. But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few ever find it.
  3. Heck that is an easy answer, they were of the human race. When it comes to people there is only one race, the human race. Maybe you haven't read the scriptures very well but God never made more than one race. When he changed body appearance and mixed up the language to keep people apart He knew it would work because we are the ones that make the division, it is a development in our own minds. There are ethnic groups, if you so choose to divide people, but only one race here on this planet when it comes to human kind. Perhaps you would like to reconsider your choice of words.
  4. Well, good old Hume would ask: What is more likely, that God allows infinite punishment for finite sins, or that infinite punishment is a human creation to lock people into the faith? Ciao - viole And I would ask is God's word the truth or is it a lie? Because it is either one or the other. Even Jesus mentioned the flame that never dies, however He did say that for those who were not saved it would be the second death. So wether or not the flame is eternal or not isn't even the question, the question is are those who wind up there buring forever or are they just dead again? I have my own theory but one thing is for sure no one knows the answer but God himself. Yet insinunating that man kind has made this up so that people remain in the chuch is preposterous and shows that one has no regard for Gods word, from beginning to end this has been a constant theme so it must be reality, otherwise God would have ommitted it.
  5. It is for the very reasons that you discuss that I have considered the issue and can not keep from voting these days. Early on I was very disgusted with the people whom put themselves forth to portray themselves as our leaders and I did not vote until I was 33 years old. But after years of careful consideration I decided that I must vote to have a voice and I must vote to support the best of all the evils presented to us. The long and the short of it is just as you say, a no vote is a vote for a greater evil than the one that may be cast for a lesser evil. Since there is nothing perfect in this world we, as Christs children, brothers, and sisters are called to choose the least evil who may have authority over us and to pray for that person that God may guide his actions and that the Holy Spirit may lead him into the truths of God so that we are led by Gods righteousness and not the worlds iniquity. Well that is the aim any way the reality is usually less that the goal.
  6. Well, it doesn't seem that he is going to reply but here are a few issues with conservatism that strike me as non-Christian in nature. Note that these are broad generalizations and I in no way mean to offend all conservatives. First, conservatives tend to spend way too much money on the military and defense. Christ commanded us to be peacemakers yet all too often, I feel as though conservatives are the ones rushing off to war. Sometimes, the war seems justified but other times it seems fruitless and provides for nothing but sorrow and destruction. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule. Ron Paul wants to pull out all troops from certain areas of the globe and use diplomatic channels (although the methods he wants to use may be a bit extreme). Secondly, conservatism in the United States does not always promote care for our fellow human beings. The GOP tends to want to cut social services instead of the military. They value a strong defense over the over anything else, no matter how many people could be affected. Note that my issue is not with budget cuts themselves but rather what conservatives in the US do to achieve those cuts. I guess my problem is that conservatives in our Congress would rather spend billions on fighter planes that are replacing planes already generations ahead of any potential enemy rather than helping hungry and homeless Americans. Is this what Jesus would want of us? Lastly, conservatives tend to be set in their ways almost by definition. Is this a good thing or a bad thing? Only time will tell. However, remember that Jesus was radical for his time. Not just “liberal” but radically outside the box. His message defied what Jewish “conservatives” would have said. He encouraged us as Christians to be radical in our love for others. Again, I am not saying that all my criticism reflects all conservatives but it is something to think about. Regards --Matt Conservatives in general are more charitable than most and want to cut government social services because that is not where charity belongs. Giving belongs with us as individuals. Relying on the government for anything leads to waste and greed being the rule of the day, that is plainly evident, that is why conservatives in general don't want power and control shifted to the government, anyway it belongs with the people and should not be given away. Many generations of people sacrificed and died so that individual freedom could thrive, not government authority. Christ said we should have our swords ready. How can you have one ready if you don't have one at all? Being conservative in relation to Christ is a good thing. Though he was radical as far as the Jewish leader were concerned He was not changeable as you seem to elude. Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow, just as God is and just as the scriptures say. All things are to be weighed against Christ and His word and what you have eluded to does not align with either. Sorry no offense meant, but Christ is the answer not political ideology. However there are things of this world that align with Christ and there are things that appear to align with Him on a superficial level yet in essence they are deviant and deceptive, and lead people away from Christ not to Him.
  7. It's remarkable how we can see predictable patterns in how God uses those blueprints then. Apparently God started off with the most basic and rudimentary blueprints for early prokaryotes, modified his blueprints bit by bit over thousands of millions of years, gradually killed off his early blueprints as he ever-so-slowly introduced more and more complex ones, branching them off into various kingdoms and phylums and families according to an order that is completely different from what Gen 1 of the Bible tells us, whereas at the onset of modern science where we actually have knowledge about genetics and the principles of Mendelian heredity and the ability to actually measure changes in organisms, God abruptly ceased his interfering and let nature take its course so that His hand cannot be detected and recorded by science. It's really remarkable how creationists invariably falls back on "we can't understand God!" to excuse facts that punch holes all over their nonsensical, baseless speculations. I've never really understood how the creationist can bear to live with the shame of such intellectual dishonesty, or if they feel any shame at all... but that's just me. I guess Jesus was nonsensical as well as He reiterated parts of creation as it were fact, which it is. As for punching holes that is merely your belief based on your faith in what scientists tell you they theoretically know, which they merely theorize and don't really know at all. So that is your faith and God sees you as nonsensical for rejecting Him and His truth, which is, in fact, the only truth.
  8. How are Fox and CNN even remotely related? What specifically are you talking about that you find so contrary and counter productive? Fox and CNN are not that different when it comes down to the wire; I watch both of them. The differences are superficial. Can you elaborate? I haven't observed that yet. Thanks
  9. How are Fox and CNN even remotely related? What specifically are you talking about that you find so contrary and counter productive?
  10. Homosexuality was rampant in the later days of the Roman Empire, and it crumbled during those times, as is well documented. Of course there were many other numerous anomalies that contributed to their demise, the primary one being rejection of God and His truth, very much like today around the world.
  11. This is an absolute leftist falsehood!!! So how much is their fair share of the deficit that Obamination created and only democrats wanted? So the bottom 50% of people pay only 2% of the total federal bill but you want to focus on the ones that pay the most already? Drinking leftist kool aid has poisoned your mind against the truth and against what is right. Everyone, I do mean everyone should pay something in federal taxes even it is just 10 dollars. At least then everyone has something in the game. But to focus on the most successful among us to make them pay for foolishness that came straight from Marxist ideology when most folks did not want it in the first place is a bogus point of view with no credibility behind it what so ever. I'll tell you what the problem is, it is the many like you who are so eager to throw away the truth and to hold on to a lie and then repeat it as if it were the truth but in fact it is a lie. So let e ask you something, how much is their fair share? Don't you realize that these people provide jobs for the rest of us? Why are you so intent on punishing success? Don't you realize that punishing success means you get less of it? Don't you know when that happens everyone suffers? Can't you see that the problem is a runaway government with a major spending problem and not a income problem? I think that you and the obamabots need to pay for this deficit since you all wanted it in the first place. So own it and pay for it and leave the rest of us alone. Thanks
  12. Aside from the fact that God says it is an abomination in His word and that sentiment is reiterated by the apostle Paul, no species on earth can procreate via homosexual or lesbian behavior. Therefore is it only logical that there is a fault here because nature itself, which was created and ordained by God, says that if you deviate from my natural law you will cease to exist.
  13. No, Sue. Politics is when you accommodate what the voting public appears to want. I said the Republicans appear to be catering to campaign contributors. The first instance is our democracy in action (democracy as opposed to communism - we are a democratic "republic"), and the second instance is the beginnings of what could eventually be described as corruption. :24: Prior to correcting someone else it would behoove you to correct yourself.
  14. Good grief you really are in a state of total denial. Obama has not even acknowledged the majority of the people much less tried to do what the majority has wanted. He has lied and tortured the truth so that his view of Marxism is the only thing that he as pushed forward. He has been guilty of graft from government and unions on a grand scale much to the detriment to the majority of the people of the US. If he had responded to the majority as you claim then his health care night mare would never have passed because the majority of people oppose it then and now, you do know this right? If you don't where in the world have you been? Don't accuse others of being silly when you clearly are in a severe state of denial. As one prominent person put it "you are behaving like an obamabot". As for big money and serving big business, unions, and government interests over the interests of the people that is clearly the behavior of the democrats although the rhetoric does not align with actions. Your comments about taxation are just a regurgitation of the party line and have no basis in fact what so ever. So you talk about being taken seriously but there is nothing but deception in your very own words. I believe you need to take a good long hard look at yourself before you even consider telling someone that they can't be taken seriously because you are absolutely deceived and facts are beyond you, if in fact you even know how to tell the difference between fact and opinion. As far as I can see you don't know how to do that.
