Many or most people were overjoyed about the Pope’s visit to the U.S. I am extremely unhappy, and there are ample reasons why. - - Pope Francis laughed with Obama on camera multiple times, Obama the man who refuses to defund the butchers at Planned Parenthood, even if it means shutting down the U.S. government to protect them, and Obama the man who forces Catholic organizations pay for contraceptives and abortion causing drugs. - - In response, Pope Francis could have said something to Congress about abortion or the unprecedented evils of Planned Parenthood, but instead he said nothing at all, leaving those in Congress fighting Planned Parenthood with no support at all. - - Now to his credit he did meet with the Sisters of the Poor, a group of nuns who are suing the Obama administration over the contraception issue. But this symbolic act was overshadowed by other events. - - There were signs of hope when Pope Francis talked about protecting religious freedom for public workers, and even met with the Kentucky clerk who was jailed for not signing same-sex marriage certificates. But couple of days later the Vatican withdrew his support of her cause, completely hollowing the meaning of his earlier words. - - This confused approach took another turn after Pope Francis spoke vaguely about threats to God’s design for sexuality and marriage in his address to Congress, but then met with a longtime gay friend and his partner in search of a “hug” from them. The gay friend even claimed the Pope has never challenged him about his sodomy. Through these and other conflicted words and actions, it is clear the visit of Pope Francis has only emboldened Obama and people like him to continue their attack on orthodox Christianity. Nearly every media report echoes what secularists now believe: Pope Francis is marginally concerned about the slaughter and sale of the unborn in this country, is an advocate for same-sex relationships, and won’t defend those who are persecuted for standing against gay marriage. As a Catholic Christian who is very concerned about these issues, I believe Pope Francis failed his Church miserably during this visit. He has made grave matters even worse, and I truly wish he had not come here. Pope Francis has lost my trust as a spokesman for truth.

I am fasting tomorrow (Monday) for the elections. Please pray with me that our Father in heaven would bless us with a President and Congress with a heart for holiness and truth. Thank you and God bless you for your sacrifice.

"For the first time ever, the Pentagon will host Gay Pride festivities on June 26th. As you may recall, President Obama declared June to be Gay Pride Month. And now the Pentagon will follow his lead in honoring the homosexual lifestyle. Last week, Defense Secretary Leon Panetta actually saluted homosexual and transsexual troops -- saying they can now be proud to wear their uniforms. The fact that even one penny of your tax dollars is being used to celebrate the homosexual lifestyle in the U.S. Military is just plain in-your-face offensive. Meanwhile at West Point, the pro-Homosexual group Knights Out held its first ever Gay Cadets Recognition Dinner. And now, the U.S. Naval Academy is allowing same-sex dates to the academy’s Ring Dance. OutServe, an association of gay service members, held its first national convention and a conference on "family issues" in Washington. Is this really where our nation is going? Defense Secretary Panetta announced on Friday that June is LGBT Pride Month in the DoD. It is one thing to tolerate LGBT by repealing the don’t ask don’t tell policy. It something else to ENDORSE homosexuality. And that is what they are doing. http://www.advocate.com/politics/milita ... ride-month There are no details yet about how the LGBT Pride month will be celebrated, but I can hazard a guess as a DoD employee. There will be advocacy events staged on military bases all over the world, with hundreds of military and civilian service members assigned to organize and run them. This will send a clear message to all our forces, and to all of the countries worldwide where we operate: The US thinks homosexual activity is GOOD, so wonderful in fact, that we need to set aside one month a year to celebrate it. And you the taxpayer will pay for it ALL. This move raises questions about free speech rights. Will uniformed military be permitted to speak out against LGBT Pride? Will their careers be hurt if they do? As a DoD civilian employee, I also wonder about my rights. Will I be disciplined or fired or passed over for promotion, if I make a stink about it? This also raises questions about the focus on Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders. Why are we honoring THEM? There are a significant number of uniformed military who faithfully serve their country and who also cheat on their spouses and indulge in porn. When are going to set aside a month for Adultery Pride or Pornography Pride? Of course, this won’t happen because those practices are still viewed as despicable. But there is no honor in evil, no pride in perversion, whatever form it takes. As the Bible declares, as research has revealed, homosexuality is just as bad for relationship health as adultery and pornography. And yet our military and presidential leadership is 100% behind the gay lifestyle. And because your taxes pay for military spending, you are 100% behind it, too. We live in one of the darkest chapters in US history and are quickly becoming a nation much like Sodom. I am now ashamed of my country and the military I serve.

A captive or committed Christian is focused on upholding the absolute moral and spiritual truths they glean from the Bible. "Casual Christians" are defined by the desire to please God, family, and other people while extracting as much enjoyment and comfort from the world as possible. A Casual Christian can be all the things that they esteem: a nice human being, a family person, religious, an exemplary citizen, a reliable employee – and never have to publicly defend or represent difficult moral or social positions or even lose much sleep over their private choices as long as they mean well and generally do their best. Notice the embrace of homosexuality is one step in the downward progression of society, and it falls apart further yet as "progress" marches on. "18 But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. 19 They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. 20 For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. 21 Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. 22 Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. 23 And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles. 24 So God abandoned them to do whatever shameful things their hearts desired. As a result, they did vile and degrading things with each other’s bodies. 25 They traded the truth about God for a lie.
