  1. Exodus 20:11 For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy. leaves no room for imagination of how to interpret 6 days as anything other than what He says.
  2. I’m seeing a pattern as of late. Though what you state has been tried again and again here, let us endeavor to not give up on making it better here! Proverbs 29:18 Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint; but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction.
  3. Ok I’ll try. I think with subjects like this, we can either view it in a self help sort of way. Trying to be conscious of our pride or anything else we want to work on. Or, we can surrender, read scripture, study and meditate and learn who God is, and as we grow in Christ He is the one who changes us. Maybe it’s both parts combined?
  4. Through all of this, thanks George, mods, watchmen, and all the others for this is the best site.
  5. The owner of this site has posted what the purpose, and what this site believes.
  6. Some don’t have the option of going to church, that is what is being said. This is a site that Christians meet to talk, much like a church.
  7. But the Bible is clear there were no civilizations before Adam.
  8. Agreed. Children are important, far smarter than many old timers give them credit. Like anyone, they want to be relevant, to be responsible for making something better. They hear one side of something freely, then are dismissed by those on another side, who are they going to relate to? Not those dismissing their feelings and attempts to do something good. How do we engage them to show how wrong the propaganda they have been exposed to is wrong without dismissing them?
  9. My opinion is your focus on the willingly ignorant phrase is all wrong. Even if I let all the verses you believe prove your opinion go, what good does believing 2 floods do? Let it go, focus on Jesus, not these unproven theories.
  10. You post the same argument over and over, so constant checking and rechecking your long lists of verses don’t have to happen in less than an hour. They have been checked by many over the years you continue to post them, and they are found to be false interpretations every time. It’s not God’s Word that is called such.

    9/23/17 Review

Hello Heb, yes I agree. Great post!
  12. At work we keep asking what ever happened to common sense? I don’t know but if he ever reapplies here I hope they rehire him. This guy is a great speaker.
  13. Great question, it does seem like it! Maybe people really believe in God, but they just say they don’t because they don’t want to surrender to Him?
  14. Hello W. I’m sorry life has been brutal to you. Can you tell me if you know where you will spend eternity? Have you believed in Jesus? Regardless of your actions, I want to tell you God does love you.
  15. These stories have been around a long time, I wonder if the examples are hand picked, as they are always specified as registered Democrats. I don’t believe these are innocent mistakes, but I do wonder if these are people who “could” vote, or are these numbers actual votes cast?
  16. Agreed, in being so adamant to proclaim what is in other people’s hearts, is revealing.
  17. I believe many teachers would protect. Also, way back when I went to high school, many guys had the two gun rack mounted in back window of their pickups. With rifles for all to see.
  18. I believe this and at the same time I believe the other side too. God does speak to people, put burdens and reveals His heart to them, that they may speak God’s truths. We may be too hasty to disregard people and the ways God uses them even in their flaws. Jonah was sent by God to prophesy the destruction of Nineveh.
  19. 3 I tried cheering myself with wine, and embracing folly—my mind still guiding me with wisdom. I wanted to see what was good for people to do under the heavens during the few days of their lives.
  20. This has, as you say,”haunted” me as I’ve read that passage all these years yet two weeks ago I awoke Sunday morning, laying there waiting for the sun to come up, I realized a great blackness in my heart. Ugly. See, I recently received a large raise, and though I voluntarily, and joyfully tithe, in my heart I didn’t want to increase my giving, after receiving more. I don’t think the money is of any consequence to God, He created and owns all, but that blackness in my heart was terrible. I repented in fear, and asked Him to take that out of me, but I don’t think I’m done dealing with it yet. Don’t I trust Him?
  21. 18 For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief. How does wisdom bring sorrow?
  22. 16 I said to myself, “Look, I have increased in wisdom more than anyone who has ruled over Jerusalem before me; I have experienced much of wisdom and knowledge.”
  23. Fear sells. It is sad to see those who represent Christianity peddle hope in this world and self reliance.
