  1. Thank you! I would really like to talk about this. Do you know about any healthy ways to release your anger? The only ways I know of right now are to lift weights and play engaging video games, but I haven't tried those yet.
  2. I’m thinking with my situation this should be added to later as a work in progress. But, for starters: I’m angry all the time. Advice would be great, thank you all so much in advance!
  3. 6 The night before Herod was to bring him to trial, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains. Other soldiers were guarding the door of the jail. 7 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord stood there, and a light shined in the cell. The angel struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Hurry! Get up!” the angel said. And the chains fell off Peter’s hands. 8 Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And Peter did. Then the angel said, “Put on your coat and follow me.” 9 So Peter followed him out, but he did not know if what the angel was doing was real; he thought he might be seeing a vision.10 They went past the first and second guards and came to the iron gate that separated them from the city. The gate opened by itself for them, and they went through it. When they had walked down one street, the angel suddenly left him. 11 Then Peter realized what had happened. He thought, “Now I know that the Lord really sent his angel to me. He rescued me from Herod and from all the things the people thought would happen.” 12 When he considered this, he went to the home of Mary, the mother of John Mark. Many people were gathered there, praying. 13 Peter knocked on the outside door, and a servant girl named Rhoda came to answer it. 14 When she recognized Peter’s voice, she was so happy she forgot to open the door. Instead, she ran inside and told the group, “Peter is at the door!” 15 They said to her, “You are crazy!” But she kept on saying it was true, so they said, “It must be Peter’s angel.” Here's what I think: They thought it was Peter's angel because personal angels take on the form and speak in the same voice of their human. I believe they do this in an attempt to understand their human as best they can.

  5. This is from the genii wikipedia (I know that it's not that credible) page: "The Greeks called their genii, daemons, and believed in them long before the Romans." We might not want to talk about genii because they may be based on fallen angels.

I have a good idea of why this might be but I want to see a bunch of explanations from you all before I tell.
  7. What does that have to do with the topic? I'm not following ... Same here!
  8. How do you think Nimrod from the Bible got to be associated with fools?
  9. You know, in the gospels Jesus exorcized many demons just by telling them to leave. Why do you think they would obey the one they were constantly working against?
  10. Judges 7:4 And the Lord said to Gideon, “The people are still too many. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall go with you,’ shall go with you, and anyone of whom I say to you, ‘This one shall not go with you,’ shall not go.” 5 So he brought the people down to the water. And the Lord said to Gideon, “Every one who laps the water with his tongue, as a dog laps, you shall set by himself. Likewise, every one who kneels down to drink.” 6 And the number of those who lapped, putting their hands to their mouths, was 300 men, but all the rest of the people knelt down to drink water. 7 And the Lord said to Gideon, “With the 300 men who lapped I will save you and give the Midianites into your hand, and let all the others go every man to his home.” 8 So the people took provisions in their hands, and their trumpets. And he sent all the rest of Israel every man to his tent, but retained the 300 men. And the camp of Midian was below him in the valley. I read this Bible passage a few years ago and didn't know what was with the men lapping the water, so I prayed for the answer to why they did this. Some time after that I was staying at my cousin's house. He's a higher-ranked Army officer. I was watching TV in one room and he was coming into the room I was in. I noticed that he peered around the door of the other room before coming into the room I was in. This remained in my mind for some time. I had come home from some trip and I saw that my faithful dog came to see me. Then I saw that my dog peered around the corner (of my house) just like my cousin did! This was all in answer to my prayer about the lapping soldiers! So at least American and (ancient or modern) Israeli fighters have learned their battle tactics from dogs. The 300 Jewish men in Judges 7 (above) must have learned from their dogs at least a tad to drink water like them. Since getting my prayer answered I have observed my dog and other dogs. I saw my dog do a special silent run at a squirrel that reminded me a lot of military men running in movies, especially Act of Valor which is authentic. I saw a pretty young dog exhibit a battle tactic at me while I was riding an ATV. He seemed to know that he had met his match so he barked at the ATV, ran away a little ways, barked again, then he repeated this for a few times. What do you think of all of this? Have any of you learned of any more war info from your dogs?
  11. Has anyone ever noticed this? What do you think it means?
  12. Hello, everybody. I'm trying to start reading the bible again after a short break that was due to my mental illness. At the front of my Bible is an article that puts Mark 4:3-20 in your face. It seems like I'm the soil with weeds (the weeds are material possessions [for me that's TV and video games] that block out God's Word). I can read the Bible up to four hours, but I never think about what I've read. So my plan is to start redeeming my entertainment time by asking, "Where's God in this?". (This is advice my pastor gave to his congregation.) But, I don't really know where to start. Could you please help me redeem these entertainment media so I can get a foothold? Video Games Sci-Fi movies Action movies Saturday Night Live Parks and Recreation Stan Lee's Superhumans America's Got Talent Comedians Jurassic Park
  13. Hey, everybody. Here's an update on my ministering to someone. Turns out he was lying about praying. He hadn't been doing it at all. So God led me back to what he had led me to do in the first place. He led me to believe that I must be like Jesus, be a hard worker, and tell him that God wants him in His army. So I need help with the first two. Any suggestions on how to do them?
