I'm going to join my voice with those of Hippie & {{{{Alien}}}]}, sometimes tough love is the only road open to us.....I have heard it said & it bears out to be true... You can take the bottle out of an alcoholics hand,BUT if he isn't ready to take the bottle out of his own hand then it's all for nothing... In other words {{{Belle}}},it's got to be his choice...if he's not ready to do this..then you need to do what is best for your kids and yourself. continue to pray for him,but don't allow him access to you or your children. My Mother gave me my name,she was going for an aristacratic name,hoping i would be....LOL there are 3 of us in the family with the same name...it get's kinda confusing when were all together in the same place..LOL The only trouble i have is with my middle name....it used to mean something totally different then it does now.

JohnDB, many many years ago, i worked for a pharmacy, "doc" was the pharmisist , and wise...i was faced with going to my very first funeral and was very concerned about what to say to the grieving...more importantly what not to say to them....as i didn't want to make their grief worse if that was possible... "Doc" bless his wise heart told me this "there are no right words at a time like this"nothing that you say is going to change the fact that their loved one isn't with them any longer As the years have gone by I have witnessed several funerals.....If the deceased loved one wasn't saved,it will only cause more harm to make an issue of this......remember their grieving for someone that they loved. I have also witnessed how NOT to preach a funeral message,and i can tell you i wanted to jump those pews and smack that preacher!!! by thetime that preacher was done,he had basically told the grieving parent's of this child that it was GODS FAULT that their child had died!...robbing those parents of the very source of comfort that they needed to cling to ...GOD So you asked how would I preach a funeral..... JohnDB, i would preach it with compassion,loving kindness and share their tears of grief. GBU Brother! ~~~MISS~~~

  11. 2 weeks ago here in Pa. The no same sex marriage act was over ruled .much to my dismay! the very next day,2 gay women tried to rent one of the local fire halls for their wedding reception... They were told that the hall wouldn't be rented to them...so they went on camera to complain,without looking like they were complaining ..yeah right!.....as i watched this farce play out on my local news, i thought and your surprised by this because??...... what these "Lawmakers & Judges" don't seem to get is that their NOT giving right's to an oppressed minority..their in fact giving rights to perversion!.PEROID! Do I hate gay people...no!,but i'm not gonna pat them on the head and say "there there you poor thing,you can't help being gay" that's ludacrisis !!!. I applaude this Christian baker and his very simple work around!!!! ~~~MISS~~~

  13. Yesterday at the age of 86 we lost a pure treasure! Maya Angelou was many things to many people,She possessed the unequaled ability to let people know that they were indeed a child of GOD! And GB the members that responded appropriately yes please pray for them...there lost as i used to tell the kids on my school van(they were behavior challenged kids,that went to alternate schools) I knew all the bad words before you even hit the planet...i'm not impressed..LOL LOL, how about this instead, i'll treat you with respect, you do the same,and we'll get along just fine....
