  1. If by Torah you mean the Law, then no. The Law is righteous and good but it is not designed to make us righteous. Our practical righteousness comes from keeping in step with the Holy Spirit, not from a fleshly observance of the Law. Observing the Law is not of faith so it will never be accepted by God. Gal 3:12 The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, "The person who does these things will live by them." It is an old covenant or way in which God dealt with man until our savior Jesus Christ came and met all it’s requirements on our behalf and ushered in this age or Covenant of grace in his own blood. We are now under the New Testament which is superior in every way imaginable.
  2. While it is true that God had something similar to sadness at our fall, he knew we would fall and become wicked from the beginning. His plan of redemption was already to go before he ever created Adam. When talking about the almighty I don’t believe we ever need to have sympathy on him. Unlike us he actually did something about it and took part in our humanity. He experienced our weaknesses himself so now he can identify fully with us. Heb 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
  3. I don’t know if @Betha is using this distinction, but you are now a part of the new humanity in Christ. Jew and Gentiles merged in the Church. We are distinguished from Jew and Gentile. Eph 2:14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, Eph 2:15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 1Co 10:32 Do not cause anyone to stumble, whether Jews, Greeks or the church of God— I’m always amazed and grateful to see a believing Jew. You are actually apart of a small remnant that believes today. The majority are blinded during this time of the Gentiles. Rom 11:25 I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers and sisters, so that you may not be conceited: Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in, You are apart of a small remnant that believes today. Before our Lord comes back and reestablish Israel.
  4. We don’t know what God is doing behind the scenes. There was a time when I believed one way and my own mind was changed at a later date. Be prayerful.
  5. So many great answers in this thread. I’m learning a lot. Praise God!
  6. According to your interpretation there remains no more sacrifice for willful sin. (Which is wrong). Paul said Peter stood condemned because he previously ate with the Gentiles until a certain group came around. He clearly knew what he was doing.
  7. Ok I will check your site out again. Brother I did get a good laugh when I saw it was all the same guys from here that hate OSAS. You guys feel like you are persecuted so bad that you needed a new site? Some of you even use words like this discussion grieves you. I don’t know brother. Lol
  8. Paul called him out on it and said Peter knew better, but he was scared to offend a few Jewish big shots. Gal 2:11 When Cephas came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he stood condemned. Gal 2:12 For before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group. Gal 2:13 The other Jews joined him in his hypocrisy, so that by their hypocrisy even Barnabas was led astray.
  9. Oooh, I thought the Lord would not forgive willful sin, especially in light of your wrong interpretation of Hebrews 10:26. I do agree that they repented.
  10. Lol I want to check that out. Maybe pm me a link. Our issues were mainly KJV onlyism. All the other issues are basically the same as you and I have.
  11. Did David willfully have Bathsheba’s husband killed? Did Peter intentionally show racism against the Gentiles?
  12. No, 1John 3 says we do not live in a lifestyle of sin. We do not perpetually sin as a lifestyle. You must know this if you rightly divide the word. In other words sin is not the norm for us, but we do sin.
  13. Street preachers are so inspirational to me. I’ve seen them literally get punched and spit on, yet they stand tall for the Lord.
  14. Context, the Children of the flesh represented by Ishmael are those who still seek to be under the Law. We who trust in Christ alone are the children of promise. It has absolutely nothing to do with antinomians abusing the grace of God. It’s also interesting that you see our disagreements as us persecuting you. That is very telling to me.
  15. Then you are deceiving your own self . The Holy Spirit said this. 1Jn 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. You are not walking in God’s Holy light of fellowship if you claim you don’t sin. That light reveals our sinfulness which we then confess so he can take it away that our walk may be pure. If you deny this then you walk in darkness and are calling Christ a liar. walking in the light is not sinless perfection, it is walking in honesty before the Lord, confessing every sin whether willful or not. He promises to forgive and clean us whether that is daily, weekly, monthly, etc. The Holy Spirit made no such distinction.
  16. There is no such thing as a sinner placing simple trust in Christ ever being deceived into thinking they are sheep. Scripture gives you clear instructions on how to be saved. Believe. Upon that belief you are born again and indwelled by the Holy Spirit. You are given a new life. It’s that simple. Eph 1:13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 2Co 1:21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 2Co 1:22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 1Pe 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. If you count on performance and do not by faith, accept the truth of scripture, then I can see how one runs into problems. Trust in anything other than Christ and his mercy leads to disaster. Our two sides are the differences in slaves and sons.
  17. This is clear denial of the power of the blood. Our Lord’s atonement reaches back to the past to pay for the sins of saints and sinners before him. And your sins which were all yet future, his blood Paid for and continues to Atone for in his Advocacy and propitiation. Rom 3:25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— Rom 3:26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.
  18. A born one will never reject Christ. His sheep will never hear the voice of another. Those that are saved are sealed by the Holy Spirit. 1Jn 5:4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. Joh 10:4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. Joh 10:5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger's voice." Joh 10:27 My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. Joh 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. His own shall never perish, and every single born one will overcome.
  19. Not Christ sacrifice, but the willful sin of other sacrifices. We know our Lord sacrifice covers not only ours who believe, but even the sins of the world. 1Jn 2:2 He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world. God in his mercy is not even counting the worlds sin against them because of the atonement of Christ. His command to them is simply believe and live or perish apart from Christ and face him for your sins. 2Co 5:19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.
  20. Where does scripture say that? If we sin we have an Advocate in Jesus himself. It doesn’t specify willful or not, it simply says sin. 1Jn 2:1 My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. A Christian does not lose salvation when he sins. What type of non willful sins are you talking about? It’s absolutely ludicrous to think that’s the only sins that Christ forgives. Or that you commit.
  21. Is eternal life based on performance? Or believing the record(the Gospel) that God gave of his Son? Are you saying God’s salvation is only free initially? A word that is never linked to salvation.
  22. You will be saved is not enough for you? How about our Lord saying those he gives eternal life will never perish?
  23. Gotta say I agree. I like season 3 the best. As far as violence I know how to separate fantasy violence from real life violence, as my friend was brutally murdered in front of my door. I’ve seen people shot in real life. It’s nothing like actors acting like they are being killed. I understand everything is not for everybody. If it grieves you then it’s probably not healthy to watch.
  24. Hearing these accounts of God showing mercy to the undeserved is incredible. It builds so much faith and joy in our hearts. How he takes a wretch out of filth and sets them on a righteous path of service to himself. He reconciled us. Mar 5:15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid.
  25. I think that testimony should be heard by all. This is the word of God jumping right off the page and in our faces. I can only imagine the joy your dad had in knowing he would be meeting our Lord face to face. I am doing everything in my power not to cry(I’m in public lol) right now.
