  1. In Acts 10, we have the example of Peter on the roof at the sixth hour. Peter saw in a vision, a sheet containing all manner of creatures being lowered to earth. A voice commanded Peter to "kill and eat". Peter protested saying that he had never eaten unholy or profane food. The voice then informed Peter that God had made all those things in the sheet to be clean so it isn't proper for Peter to call these things unholy, common or profane. This should be more evidence that dietary restrictions have been abolished. By Gal 3:13, "Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law..."
  2. The Word gives two clear prohibitions to a believer and non-beliver marrying. The preceding post brings up not being unequally yoked. The second is in 2 Jn, " 9 Whosoever transgresseth, and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God. He that abideth in the doctrine of Christ, he hath both the Father and the Son. 10 If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: 11 For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
  3. Your focus is on the tribulation generally. The group that is spared the tribulation is the 'body of Christ', the born again believers who meet Jesus in the air as He comes for His body, 1 Thess 4:13-18. A much overlooked fact is that for people to participate in the rapture, they must believe in the rapture. This is no different than any other part of the New Covenant. Faith is required per Heb 11:6, ... without faith it is impossible to please God ...The people in the rapture are sons od God and God will watch after His own and make a way of escape. He did it for as few as 8 with Noah and his family in Gen 6. Sons of God have no need to fear the tribulation.
  4. I read your story and it was moving. I hope you don't mind my suggesting an approach; I would suggest that you find out if you have generational curses; if so, get delivered from them. More important is being filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit. If your are willing to be led by the Spirit then you are a son of God (Rom 8:14). That's when everything changes. With God living in you, the trend for you will be from defeat to victory. You will have to do the work and the study. You'll have to locate the people who can advise you,and discern your spiritual situation and minister to you. I would say to not ask for people to pray for you as there are no guarantees. When you pray, as a son of God, you have guarantees of your prayer being answered in the affirmative, See the promise of 1 John 5:14,15 for answered prayer; there is also 'the prayer of agreement', Mt 18:19 whic has a guarantee. Another is Mark 11: 23,24 -- "... you shall have whatsoever you say". These guarantees of answered prayer are for Sons of God who are led by the Spirit. I haven't mentioned faith and dedication to the Word but these are part of the answer as well.
  5. On the subject of faith, I was taught a view on faith that I have never seen since, which is to say not many say it. "faith is believing God will perform His Word for me, everytime and in every circumstance, when I act on His Word in faith. Knowing that God has placed His Word above His name and knowing that God cannot lie Is a huge assurance. God sees that His Word perform as He intended. That is why He can say as in 2 Cor 1:20, "the promises of God in Him are yes and in Him amen".
  6. What would be the point in us, as Christians, accepting a non-Christian source of info on a decidedly Christian matter. We are the ones to whom the Holy Spirit, the source of all truth, can be given. If I am missing something basic, please point that out.
  7. Heb 11:6 says that without faith, it is impossible to please God. Unbelievers have no faith so they should not be able to have their prayers answered. God will always respond to any person's cry for salvation.
